Hello and welcome to Snuka extra. -- Snooker Extra. Our feature match has

Northern Irish mark Adam and English when Wilson. Wilson began the first

and final session in front. Letters join Stephen Hendry. COMMENTATOR:

Welcome to the final session of this match between Wilson and Ebdon. --

Alan. One has to give every credit to Wilson who has played very well

in this match. My best back was against Johnson, I lost the decider.

I had been rather behind in the semis. A fantastic long red thereby

Mark Allen. As long as he can keep Kyren Wilson

at two friends he will have a little bit of leeway. -- frames. It may be

a bridge too far. Kyren Wilson is making a name for himself in this

tournament, he has been very impressive and aggressive. If he

plays it plain bowl Hillcrest it into the red. He has played across

he has a short cue action. It is perfect for these vast shots. I love

territory for a Kyren Wilson, a three session match. His supporters

would be telling him that he was true to the quarter-finals, but it

is hard to get your head out of believing you are winning. If Mark

Allen were to win a couple of frames it may get into his head. What if I

lose from this position? Does seem to be a very confident young man. I

was very impressed with him in last night's session when he lost a frame

and then came out at the interval. Fortunate to win the next two. And

that is how we got the 11-5 lead. This is exactly how last night

started. Breaks of 122 and then 103. Mark Allen has had a good season

with 35 centuries. Excellent chance for winning the frame this visit.

The red come up past the pink into the middle. Three more raids and

coloureds to be safe. He was over the winning line is frame any editor

Very impressive. He placed a shot better than most players in the

game. He goes in and out of spells where he knocks them in and

sometimes he doesn't stop he has putted so many in his first matches.

red. If he goes past the blue, harmony times you see players for

short of the blue. Well past the blue line that which is the dead

straight shot. The pink spot must be covered. He

does not have the angle on the red. He is always very good with the

rest. And they get the cue ball back up for blue. He is playing this with

a loss of power. -- a lots of power. He can play this with confidence.

A little unlucky. He stopped the cue ball going to the middle pocket. He

had enough action on the cue for, it is almost like end of rape. -- end

good as the first frame. He would love to get onto the red

that is just below the black. He can play the cannon into the pink and

push the pink through the reds and just try and force the white through

the pink. He didn't force it through the pink hard enough to get into the

red. There is a gap through the rates and he gets it. -- reds.

He had a wonderful comeback many years ago. He was 9-2 behind. He

managed to win with a frames on the trot. -- eight frames. Neil

Robertson came back from 11-5 down. It is very much possible. The more

friends Mark Allen can put on the board, the more that winning line

will get edgier and edgier for Kyren Wilson. You are not absolutely

petrified until he gets you will frames. -- he gets to 12 frames.

Mark Allen will believe that he can win this match.

It appears that the pink will probably pot here. This is another

frame opportunity. He is 30 points in front. Luck is a formality.

He has played no Miss Snuka so far. -- no miss snooker. He has no reason

to panic yet. Just keep the focus on getting to 13 friends. -- frames.

He's cueing beautifully. Kyren has done nothing wrong in his opening

frames. He's just waiting for a chance to make him pay. He deserves

a century the way he has opened his two frames up. Mark Allen pulls

another one back. Kyren Wilson breaks off. No need to

panic just yet. He knows how well he is playing. He knows that if he gets

a chance he will score. Great long ball so far and he knows all aspects

of his game are still in good order . Even more dangerous with that red

behind the black. He is playing a more traditional shot. If you place

the same as the first frame he will get it. It is so dangerous with that

red being right behind the black. You do not want to give your

opponent opportunities. He brings it is right into play. Yesterday they

would have kissed the blue. There is a gap to the right corner. Don't

think so. Cue ball is somewhere behind the green.

He hit it with as much aside as I thought he would. That has turned

out pretty good. Safety shot there. Anything but that. -- thick. This

looks a bit pacey. The blue has come to his rescue

again. He is a fraction away from being able to see both of them. One

more safety shot stop he should be of get behind the cushion with his

hand on the table. When you hand is on the cushion it

is a lot more difficult. ? He's decided to have a rest. A much

better safety than that. Clear shot with your hand on the

table. No part for the Hugh ball. -- cueball. That is far too risky. It

is not easy to get back to ball. He has found an alternative, very very

thin. That was perfect. At first glance,

no shot or anything available. He has taken his pot into the corner,

just enough room to play this shot into the red.

APPLAUSE. Fantastic shot, brilliant.

The pink is available in the right corner, I do not think it is

available left of centre. That is what we are looking at. Not quite

into position where he would think it would be disappointing to win

this frame. He has got it to the left centre, that is a bonus. A

decent chance, but not a certain frame winning opportunity just yet.

Said it when players are as competent as Kyren Wilson is, every

time he gets to the table he will be wanting to win the frame. Yes, a

very aggressive breakable. Always try to win on. Never misses a chance

to bring the big colours into play. 19.

That has not gone quite right, he bit of a stone on the hit this --

stinger to hit this red. As you can see he will be coming into the red.

Likely to be on pink or blue should be pot it.

I do not think he would miss it, that is a brief for Mark Allen. --

reprieve. This is an awkward situation. The obvious red below the

black and the pink is a tough shot, he will be going into the two reds.

blue. Mark Allen will take confidence from the fact that Kyren

Wilson was unable to win the frame from that visit, he missed his

chance. APPLAUSE. Six. He was able to reach it, now a

chance of getting right back into the frame. You would not suggest it

is a frame winning opportunity, but he can certainly get a sizeable

lead. If the pink when the where it was, he would have two cannoned into

the black will bring things into the open. With the pink still there, he

may cannoned into the black which it has done. That was never a

certainty. Still unlikely, but you would expect something easier than

this. He had a good pace. I think he has possibly covered these two reds,

you cannot see those in the middle. I cannot see a red that can be

potted now, that is unlucky. Kyren Wilson is looking at the

angles to play the cushion first. These are by no means easy when

you're playing across the progression. -- for the cushion. At

that pace it is not easy at all. It looks like he is thinking of

playing the aggressive safety shot, white into brown and bringing the

red in the players will. He has played to try to bring the black

into play. Almost uses the safety ball.

APPLAUSE. This is what we have come to expect from Kyren Wilson, that

was excellent. He has got that paradigm that not

everybody has in speaker. -- power game.

Talking about this season, it has been a topsy-turvy championship with

all of these top players going out. Yes, I think if I was Kyren Wilson

the way I was playing and feeling confident, I would think I have a

good chance here. I am sure he does not fear anybody. Decision time. May

not get onto the black, but if he plays this powerfully and tries to

bring black and two or three reds into play, hopefully he shall get

onto pink or black. This is not bound to go right, but could be

extremely right. It is OK, here's the pink at the top. Not easy.

APPLAUSE. On the attack again here. A good pot. 30 points in front.

Three more reds will take to 12-7. Three more reds will take him to

12-7. Just when it looked like he had got

the frame APPLAUSE. Just when it looked like he had got

the frame. APPLAUSE. On the right side, could bring two

reds into play. One. Unless he puts the black into the

left side of the pocket, he has got the cushion them for bounce.

and will try to do something with these two reds on the left cushion.

APPLAUSE. The safety is not straightforward here, either side of

the black it is hard to get back to the black cushion because you cannot

cue down on it. At the top of the table is the green and brown, he

will try to dig in behind the black again, this red could be travelling

loose. I do not know where the red will end up.

APPLAUSE. Decision time. Is it worth the risk?

Kyren Wilson appears to be looking up at the rotting angle, he has to

really get into the cue ball. He would like to pot the red and leafy

people where it is. He will have to play with an awful lot of screw to

leave it in open play and not leave a lot of the red on the board. Just

clearing the cue ball. I was very impressed with him yesterday, in the

last but one frame, but actually touching the red. It was the right

decision, we sometimes criticise the referees but they do an excellent

job. As I was saying, he needed the cue ball to be in between the brown

and blue to make that a shot. Mark Allen has been given a reprieve.

Four. Five. Dodgy, to think about winning the frame here. As long as

you have a nice angle, you do not need to much pace. As long as you

play the brown off the pocket for that read.

He will be pausing inside a Mark Allen, thinking this will be another

chance to call on back. -- claw on the back. Perfect. Just make sure

you do not leave yourself straight on this red. He has not done that.

Amazing how the cushion can be so much more difficult on the red than

the black. Perfectly played for the brown. That could have been

awkward. I think it was either yellow or brown off that read. He

may play more confidently with a screw, that is a more positive shot

their. The blue needed, and other frame,

the third of the afternoon's play. 20. 24. A great performance from

Mark Allen. APPLAUSE. Mark Allen, 29. That is careless,

very careless. He pots the pink and the comeback

continues. He trails eight frames to 11. Mark

Allen to break. Mark Allen is breaking off, hopefully will win the

frame to make it 11-9 at the interval. APPLAUSE. That was the

right corner, but it is not straight then Kyren Wilson may take it on.

The red to the left, you cannot played each additional shot because

the red is behind the black. There is a slight angle, this is to what

three inches further off the cushion. It is a bit tough. Now

than, Mark Allen this is a tremendous chance. Kyren Wilson had

a little smile and a shake of the head when he missed that. I thought

he may have just played this for the black. But he has gone all out for

the back. -- pot. What a chance. Is slightly awkward on the blue. If it

is not get the kiss right, it could be very well done. That was an

excellent cannon. Six. Another nice shot there. That cue

action is perfect for a break building. I had a short action and

they used to love being around the pinks and the black. Take the cue

very far back... What players with long cue action suffer from is

deceleration. Then you might miss the point, but there is no chance of

that with Mark Allen. Three more loose reds but they will

need to cannon into that cluster of reds at some stage.

You can hear the code. -- thud. Straight enough to stun the bread

into the pocket. -- red. His heart will be pounding now. Mark Allen

will be so excited to win this. It has a great chance to get right back

into the match. Kyren Wilson be favoured if Mark Allen when 15 but

it will be nowhere near where it was when he came into the auditorium.

He would like to kiss before reds and the left-hand side. He is

playing with a bit more pace. APPLAUSE

It is pulls away to the right-hand side excellent striking.

He will need the three loose reds. He doesn't have to risk playing the

cannon unless he can get at salute the perfect on it -- absolutely

perfect. What a wonderful performance, 86 in frame. That round

this morning was 103. Kyren has made no break this morning.

Great character is being shown by Mark Allen.

His going to pop is blue and then pot the last red. -- pop is blue.

He's shaking is headed for missing the ball in the middle pocket. With

a 64 lead there are still plenty of balls on. Just hope to get in behind

a black and that is all you can do there. Uganda's can do is rollup to

before reds with a deadweight. He can just.

He is doing a lot of headshaking at the moment. He needs to stay

focused. He did want to leave the touching

ball. Risk playing behind the black? Has

to get past the black now. Kyren Wilson will take the pot. You have

to cover that rate. That was a careless shot. He missed the cannon

on the red and brown. This is a great shot. The only place

he could live it was there. What a blow this would be. A loss of margin

of error to get back cueball behind. He could have travelled

another foot or two and then OK. This would be the body blow having

lost is to frames last night. That is the first sign of a twitch from

Kyren. This rate is going to be over the pocket. Look at the scoreboard

he will need the blue or the above. I don't know whether he was smiling

or grimacing when he looked at the crowd. I'm sure that Kyren Wilson

expected to be doing his press conference by now. Now he has a

battle on his hand. Would you still rate Kyren as a favourite if he

loses? He is still a strong favourite. Whether he feels that way

in his mind is a different thing. When you lose the first four frames

you are not in a good place stop whoever he will have on his dressing

room at interval. Maybe he should just practice in the dressing room.

Get his rhythm back and get his mind back on the job. Shaking his head a

lot. He looks under pressure. I think that is enough for today.

Great performance by Mark Allen. A bad break off straight away. From

winning those four frames he is back in the match. Lovely mark, well

done. Little bit of sarcasm there. I know he is under pressure there to

win this match but I do not like that. I'm sure there will be moments

where he has good fortune to. Yes to play containing the safety.

-- has to play. Very good pace. I'm not sure whether the bread just

below the pink will go into the corner. -- red. You are saying that

Mark Allen could play attacking snooker. But now he is back in the

match. He is not favourite yet by any stretch but he is certainly back

in the match. Hinders play the normal game now. He has got Kyren

Wilson at it. I'm not too sure you can see the right-hand side. A

little bit too thin. What a brilliant pot. He is not

shaking his head at that result. Great pot as you said. He did not

find the gap. I think the black is available. He has looked at it. This

is Kyren's first decent scoring chance of the afternoon so far. This

is his first opportunity to score heavily.

He is coming around to have a look from the other side.

Saying that he might have played flipping. His got a choice of both

now. But that cueball travelling to the question, after what happened

previously, there is pressure on this. When you can see the centre of

the pocket you can know if you can pocket but you cannot see the

job... -- sure. He may have bounced the cueball will be too far stop

that was excellent. EU has not played many shot in his short

career, but that pressure was huge. You can see he has got an angle to

fall through. Enough to force one cushion. Again, this black is

missable. This could be in the fray. If he cannot get it into the black

and the corner he cannot do anything with the cueball apart from roll a

He is looking at a three ball plant and that is the only way he can get

able to play the top. Unless he can kiss it into two balls. His got lots

of safety shot to play. Looking at the angle I am not too sure he can

miss. It is going to be another time. Could have given him ten out

of ten for that one. I think the rate is on the pink spot

so he can pop the pink. This is now a framing opportunity, the first of

the morning. Watch this, off the right jaw. That

is pure detention. -- attention. He is desperate to get a frame on the

board. That is not good. He plays of the black, he will have two -- screw

the cue ball off the side cushion. That is not good. He plays of

is a difficult part to play, playing at slightly into the black pocket.

misses it. That is what I don't understand, why would you play

that? APPLAUSE. Kyren Wilson is

straightaway coming to look at the potting angle. If he puts it at the

natural angle, he'll have to find a gap between the pink and the red.

APPLAUSE. He got a good angle behind it, a great pot. I don't know why he

had it with some much pace, but he could be getting on a bit of trouble

at the moment. His strike red is slightly better, Kyren Wilson then

Mark Allen. It is very good, 69%. Looks like he is playing the pot on

the green. Very good. That deserves to win the frame, but shot.

Excellent. APPLAUSE. This was an unbelievable shot when

you consider what has happened so far this morning. APPLAUSE. Yes that

was an excellent shot. It does look like now he will win his first frame

of the day, 58 ahead. 51 remaining. Kyren Wilson is one frame away from

victory at 12-9. APPLAUSE. He will certainly be

my coach in Nottingham, and I let one rip as I was leaning over the

table. Just thought I would admit to the rest of the crowd who'd actually

did not hear it, so I made a bit of a fall of myself... Frame 32, Mark

to the corner. Let's see it again, much too thick.

This is a topsy-turvy match, Kyren Wilson winning frames and then Mark

Allen and switching back and forth. Mark Allen will get back in the

match and do exactly what has happened before him, winning eight

series of frames on the trot. Five. APPLAUSE. Hit that while. -- well.

Thinking maybe a chance to win a match. Every chance is a

match-winning one. He is striking the cue ball with great authority at

the moment. There may be a possible plank to the left corner. 13.

It is going to the left knuckle, that is perfect because if he gets

straight on that he will take it down for the black, the angle people

popped the plant at. He has to hit the first left on the red side, that

takes a cue ball to the back. Do not expect him to miss. He could play it

gently, then it is a certainty. That is what he has done. His looking

clear now. Always a choice with these shots,

you can play topspin or backspin. The topspin is all guaranteed I

think, on the black. He does not want to leave the cue ball tight

against the left-hand side cushion. He gets too chit, tries to take the

red out, always forgetting about the red ball - just like that. Good call

Stephen. There is a time to play an aggressive shot, like the one before

we nothing could go wrong. Stephen has called the fact it could go

wrong, and it has. That has put a lot of pressure on on for black.

A lot of pressure on this one. Very, very good recovery, very well

played. I think he can sense of the winning line. Not quite out of the

woods yet, but I think he can play for the blue to the middle. He is

going for the blue to write middle. Their usage is looking at the path,

I think he wants to make contact with the red to the right of the

pink. Does not want to touch the pink. Absolutely, it could go

wrong, if he hits it to the right. I am sure he was not playing to make

contact with the pink there, that is why he has lost the cue ball. Unless

anything goes in the left centre, sent a break -- Centre break. The

way he played that last shot, perhaps he was trying to go for

doping and is somehow found a plant for the pocket. I have to say that

is a little bit poor. 43. When I mentioned earlier he was

gesticulating and shaking his head at Mark Allen's good fortune, it

always comes around. APPLAUSE. He liked that one again. We may have

to play the cannon the left of the black, leave the black in the right

corner. Deciding it is a bit too tricky, will now go for the brown or

green or yellow. May pledge one or two cushions. -- lay it -- play it.

It is hard to get perfect position a lot of the time. This is now

obviously a chance for frame and a match, his highest break since frame

13 so he is under a bit of pressure as you would expect. Once again, not

perfect. The same problem as he had a few moments ago, we do is the

colour, from? a few moments ago, where does the

colour come from? The red is just above and to the

left of the black. You would think that is a match-winning shot. If he

played that ball he would not have to kiss on the red, that was really

out of the top draw. You would have to say it's been a good

performance, a very good performance since interval for Kyren Wilson. We

have to give credit to Mark Allen, what a fight he has put up. If he

had not lost those two frames last night when Kyren Wilson needed a

snooker, we don't know what would have happened. He will take some

stock in this tournament Kyren Wilson. His long potting has been

excellent, he scores heavily. A decent safety game and most of all,

he is full of confidence which is one of the most important things for

winning. He has also got a very good temperament, he is then the limits

in this match. Winnie was seven nil in front and Mark Allen kept coming

back, he had to find something. I am very impressed with this young man.

Mark Allen will come back to the table if he misses this red, but if

he puts it unsure that is the end. -- I am sure that is the end.

Surely this would be enough for Kyren Wilson take much.

He would love to leave the red next to the pink, I'm not sure he can get

onto the black. He wants to leave the pink where it is so it is an

easy first snooker. If he goes off the blue, he will only be 50 we

find. But if there is a chance for a free ball, I would play for the blue

rather than risk anything silly here. He is played aside for the

black, a very good shot. He needed that to be another two

inches along the table to make it a difficult sticker. Obviously he can

rest of their white on the pink, that he would love to play the red.

Played it in such a way it could not get a free ball, Mark Allen has the

first of many speakers in its. -- snookers he needs.

That looks good. APPLAUSE. Just enough room for the one cushion to

escape past the black. It is handy that the cue ball is

very close to the cushion, but this registrable deadweight pottable

position. This is for frame and match. And it is a great

performance, you see what that means to Kyren Wilson, he is delighted to

get over the line. Has been pushed to the limit by Mark Allen. I'm sure

Mark Allen will shake his hand, and he does. Very good match from Kyren

Wilson, he has come through a very difficult match but eventually gets

over the line and gets to his first quarter-final. Well played Kyren

Wilson. APPLAUSE. It was like Mark Allen and I were taking it in terms

to win a big chunks of frames. All throughout the sessions, I went up

seven -0, then he won four in a row. It was so strange, back and forth.

But I think I showed a lot of battling quality. A lot of people

would have faltered, thinking I've gone from 7- 027-5. But they made a

big break coming out of the interval and that settled me back down and

they took control. To be honest I do not play that ad, Kyren Wilson was

just a very impressive. It was hard just to get a frame, he played

flawless snooker and scored heavily, putting the under a lot of

pressure. I think there was only one close friend. --). I was

disappointed. I missed two balls that I can remember of any

importance, sometimes you just have too say the guy played better than

you. Everytime I have played I've then feeling nervous because it

means so much, but they needed to give me that bit of fire for the

game. When I went up 7-0 anyone 7-1, I felt it flat going into the night

session. So I took my foot off the pedal. But it was a great little

session for me to start off, and in the end of that is Pouille what won

the match. If I look back on the whole I have done OK, I've won my

first tournament in the UK and others. Only before this John

Higgins had one more money than me this season, so there are a lot of

positives but there will always be disappointment when you go away with

an early excellent. A lot of players would hang their head being down

seven nil, but he fought back. Congratulations to Kyren Wilson, he

is through to the good fun when he will take on the 2014 were

champion. That begins later this morning at 10am, also taking place
