Good evening. Here are the headlines: Bequests to the deaths

of six people stabbed to death in St Helier Begin in Jersey. Also, a

The inquests into the deaths of three adults and three children who

were stabbed in Jersey began today. All six died at a flat in Victoria

Crescent last month. If 30-year-old man has been charged with their

murders. Today, two short hearings were held to allow the bodies to be

released so funeral arrangements can be made.

Victoria Crescent is normally a quiet suburban street but last

month, it became a crime scene. Six people died in a multiple stabbing.

The oldest victim was 56, the youngest just two. Today, the

inquest into the six people who died was opened and adjourned here

at the building behind me so that funeral arrangements could be made.

Dr Margaret 'A's granted permission for the bodies of Izabella

Rzeweoska, 30, and her daughter and son, together with her father,

Marek Gartska, to be released to be cremated. The doctor also gave

permission for the bodies of Marta De la Haye and his daughter, Julia,

to be released. Today, only one body -- only one witness was

brought forward, a detective who confirmed the names, addresses,

dates of birth and death of the six victims. The inquest has been

confirmed. Both hearings lasted just under an hour. No family or

friends were there but it was attended by the advocate

representing Izabella Rzeweoska the, the man charged with murdering the

six people. -- representing Damian Rzwesoki,. This was one of the

worst crimes in Channel island's history. The victims should have

been starting school again today, but funerals will be arranged

instead. -- the two youngest victims.

Jersey Police had to deal with children as young as 13 being drunk

at the Jersey Live Music Festival. Figures released today show that 36

people were brought to St John Ambulance on Saturday so drunk they

were incapable of looking after themselves. 34 of them were under

age. Officers arrested 25 people over the course of the festival for

offences ranging from being drunk and disorderly to possession of

drugs and assault. A crash involving a sewage trunk

near the garage in St Saviour's meant the road was blocked for

nearly an hour today. A husband- and-wife holidaying in Guernsey

were passengers and were showered with glass.

Islanders will find out today who is standing in the just elections

for the four Senate seats available. The nomination meeting is being

held at 7:30pm. At least one -- at least nine people have indicated

they are standing for the four year term. Nomination meetings for

constables and deputies will take place tomorrow night in parish

halls. Voters will go to the polls on Wednesday 19th October. It will

be the first single day election for senators, deputies and

constables. The chief ministers of Guernsey and

Jersey that today to discuss how they can work together more closely.

Senator Terry Le Sueur addressed politicians at a business breakfast.

They say that great strides have been made in inter-island

Corporation but Jersey's outgoing chief minister says there is more

to be done. I think to stimulate discussion as to how the islands

can work together, in a time of economic difficulty, but generally,

facing a future where we are more involved in the global marketplace.

It takes time for anything like this to develop but without such a

meeting, they can never develop. The blue islands airline has

announced a new daily link from Guernsey and Jersey to Manchester.

The service will start at the end of it over and comes as BMI Baby

have decided to pull out of the route. The islands will go head-to-

head with Flybe on that link. A new Bishop of Winchester with

responsibility for the Channel Islands has been announced. Can

intimidate in his head of the Church Mission Society and will

take on the role in spring. At a news conference, he said that there

is room for change in the Church but that his long-standing values

are still relevant. It is probably only in Europe where we are the

exceptional case. It is always interesting how many people want to

know what religious thinkers feel about things. If Christianity is

not relevant, it is strange that we keep being asked what we think

about things. We are always going to be relevant if we are committed

to following the mission of Jesus. On a religious theme, people in

Jersey have helped write the first ever hand written digital Bible.

The King James version of the Bible was first published 400 years ago

but it will now be available online in the very handwriting of those

who have contributed to it. We went along to meet some of those that

have helped give the older story ever told at a modern makeover. --

the oldest story. The People's Bible is now in Jersey. Over the

last couple of days, islanders have been rewriting the King James

version on wine to celebrate its 400th anniversary. The Bible had a

massive impact on our nation. -- online. The King James version was

the first real People's Bible. It made it available to the ordinary

people. We want to celebrate that fact by doing the same, but in a

new, modern, up-to-date way. Along with Prince Charles, these people

have helped write the verses using the latest technology. Their

handwriting and names will be featured in the Bible for many

years to come, a privilege for many. Anything that can encourage people

to get back to reading the Bible is a must. That is why I am here, to

be part of this great event. Strangely, I found myself quite

emotional, being involved in recording the word of God, which is

so precious to me. The project is so significant, in promoting got's

word. I think it is wonderful. It gives you a feeling of community

with other Christians. The church will be open again tomorrow for

anyone who wants to contribute. It will then set off on its next

journey to Reading. There is just over 24 has to go

until the curtain goes up on a West End Classic in Guernsey. -- 24

hours. Joseph And his amazing technicolour Dream Coat features a

trial of -- a choir of over 100 children and the one and only

Chesney Hawkes. We joined the dress rehearsals.

All away from the West End, the band, the technical crew and the

stars, ready to perform one of the most popular musicals. Chesney

Hawkes is the face of Joseph, and says that the wardrobe department

spent a bit on his costume. This is about as naked as I get. At one

point, I we are told. But that get ripped-off. I will not tell you

what happens underneath. But it could be scary. Little children

will sit through, from the beginning to the end. It is fast

moving and funny. It is poignant. Everybody knows the songs. Who does

not know the songs? # I wore my coat of many colours. And for some

of the island's youngsters, the opportunity to sing in a West End

production with full orchestra is a dream come true. Everything about

this production has been designed to happen here specifically. The

set and costumes are brand new. The West End orchestra and cast doing

brand new choreography with more lights and I have ever seen hanging

in this theatre. -- more lights than I have ever seen hanging. I

think people will be talking about it for many years to come.

It looks fun. Time for the weather. Good evening. After some wet

weather today, and windy conditions across the Channel Islands, it will

be better tomorrow. There should be sunshine and apart from some light

showers, it will be mainly dry. The breeze will stay with us. It will

remain breezy throughout the week. Let us look at what is happening

The Channel Islands is in the firing line for more persistent
