tonight: The daredevil stunt caught on camera which sparked fresh

safety fears. Tonight, the keeping problem in Guernsey's wilderness. -

teenager at jumping from a tall fence onto the roof of a moving

lorry has been described as an isolated incident. Young people say

it should not jeopardise facilities such as the skate park. It is a

jump that could have ended in tragedy. This video was posted on

YouTube last month. The fence that the boy is jumping from surrounds

Jersey's skateboard park. The stunt has worried Jersey's youth workers.

Unfortunately we have had these films. The poetry this as a cool

way to behave but it does put young people at harm. -- the portrait

best. -- they portray this. The young people around here are

worried that their park could be in jeopardy because of this stupid

dangerous behaviour. Despite changes being made to the fence, it

is perhaps not those -- the best place for those seeking an

adrenalin rush. Things happen and we are easy targets. For what has

happened with this lorry and this kid, hopefully we will not see it

again. It leaves those skaters who use this Park hoping that this

stunt does not put an end to their facility. Pope calls for Germany --

Jersey's upcoming election hour at the hustings. St Clement's Parish

Hall hosts the first one this evening. EasyJet is launching a new

area route from Jersey to London. The airline will start flights to

London Southend Airport in Mary O'Rawe. EasyJet says it is set to

important step towards a quality. There has been a huge increase in

the amount of scrubland and would land in Jersey and Guernsey over

over the head land here. It is not the only place. Over the last 12

years the amount of scrubland over Guernsey has increased by one third.

That was one of the findings of the latest habitat survey. Without

management, its grub moves in. That has an advantage to some local

wildlife but it leads to an net loss of their ecological importance.

The environment department is working on a long-term solution.

One way could be to reintroduce the raising animals on the land.

would be delightful if we had animals grazing again. Goats used

to keep the scrub down and there could even be sheep. There is good

news. There has been a 75 % increase in the amount of woodland

of the past decade mainly through tree-planting schemes like best.

The target now is more grassland and less scrub. Meanwhile,

officials in Guernsey say they have no choice but to fell a number of

historic trees at the Candie cemetery. It would gradually become

unsafe and the cost of repair by leaving it is going to go skywards

Guernsey's Chief Minister has been at the Liberal Democrat Party

conference in Birmingham. He is there to try to build a better

relationship with the UK coalition Government. Will it work? The Lib

Dems have so often bemoaned the Channel Islands low-tax regimes.

The UK party conference is an opportunity for the party faithful

to pore over and sometimes criticise the policies of their

leaders. It is not perhaps an obvious place where you would

expect to find the Deputy minister of Jersey. This is the first time

we have attended any party conference. There are ministers

here who look after Jersey and Guernsey's affairs. These are

incredibly important people that we want to engage with and have a good

dialogue with. We are showing the Liberal Party we are interested in

them and want to build relationships with the party in

Government. The constitutional issues are very important. We want

to do things like speeding up the process by which our legislation

gets the Royal Assent. We are not fast enough in terms of

incorporating laws. Is this a PR exercise? It is about communicating,

talking to MPs and building alliances. We also must be aware

that our relationship with the UK is really important in many

different ways. The last Government ended the reciprocal health

agreement which was not fair. We need a close relationship with the

Government. Cuts at Whitehall mean they will have to do more about

securing access for our students for example. All sorts of things

are matters for residents and it is important we represent their

interests in the UK. The Deputy Chief Minister now has the

Conservative Party conference in Manchester to look forward to. In

sport, Guernsey's cricketers remain unbeaten in the tournament in

Malaysia have. If they win their match tomorrow they will be

promoted. It is not a challenge for the faint hearted but Stuart Hardie

has been training hard for more than a year to run more than 40
