In a hello and welcome. The That is all from the BBC | :00:00. | :00:10.
In a hello and welcome. The headlines: The final phases of a | :00:11. | :00:14.
major States housing revamp could begin next autumn, giving hope to | :00:15. | :00:21.
hundreds of States tenants. We have serious damp and mould issues. My | :00:22. | :00:24.
door is not watertight. Disappointed, saddened, but not | :00:25. | :00:27.
shocked ` parents react to news that two primary schools will close. It | :00:28. | :00:36.
is a terrible day for all the children, the staff and the parents | :00:37. | :00:38.
and the whole community. And swapping the mowers for the | :00:39. | :00:41.
mooers ` the beautiful breed coming to the rescue of our endangered | :00:42. | :00:43.
habitat. Work could start next October on the | :00:44. | :01:05.
final phases of a major revamp of social housing in Jersey. If | :01:06. | :01:10.
approved, the work on ways macro housing estate in Saint Clement will | :01:11. | :01:16.
be one of the weakest undertakings in building on the island. `` the | :01:17. | :01:24.
biggest undertakings. Amy Ware is desperate to get out of | :01:25. | :01:29.
her damp flat. She moved in here two years ago and | :01:30. | :01:34.
says building problems rapidly became apparent. We have serious | :01:35. | :01:41.
damp and mould issues. My door is not watertight. Some of my windows | :01:42. | :01:47.
do not close. I only have hot water for certain hours a day and I cannot | :01:48. | :01:52.
eat three times. You can feel the wind through the windows and I | :01:53. | :01:55.
cannot leave my pram downstairs because there is nowhere to lock it | :01:56. | :02:02.
away. But now Amy's property and another 105 will be knocked down and | :02:03. | :02:07.
replaced with 137 new builds over the next few years. It is the final | :02:08. | :02:11.
phase of the Le Squez development plan. Work could start next October | :02:12. | :02:17.
but until it is finished, people like Amy will have to remain where | :02:18. | :02:24.
they are. If we had spare properties that were empty, we could move | :02:25. | :02:28.
everybody out, bulldoze it and get on with it in one phase. It would be | :02:29. | :02:32.
a lot quicker but it is just not possible. We have 700 plus families | :02:33. | :02:38.
on the waiting list in addition to those at Le Squez. It is difficult | :02:39. | :02:41.
but they have been understanding and I will get it done as quickly as we | :02:42. | :02:46.
can. He would not say when the building work will be complete but | :02:47. | :02:49.
it is likely to be years. For Amy, but cannot come soon enough. | :02:50. | :02:56.
Disappointed, saddened, but not shocked. That is how many parents | :02:57. | :03:00.
have responded to news that two primary schools will close in | :03:01. | :03:05.
Guernsey. St Sampson's Infant School will shut next year and St Andrew's | :03:06. | :03:11.
Primary School in 2015. On the surface, a normal start to | :03:12. | :03:16.
the school day. But an underlying feeling of sadness, as parents got | :03:17. | :03:20.
their children of at a school that is now set to close. So many people | :03:21. | :03:26.
feel devastated. It is a terrible day for the children, staff, parents | :03:27. | :03:33.
and whole community. It will disrupt their education and that has not | :03:34. | :03:36.
been taken into account. It is to save money. As a campaign, we made | :03:37. | :03:44.
this badge, and it represented every child on the island. That is why the | :03:45. | :03:46.
different colours are there because right from the start we said, this | :03:47. | :03:52.
is an island`wide issue. And emotions were running just as high | :03:53. | :03:56.
last night as the politicians who fought to keep the two schools open | :03:57. | :04:00.
left the States disappointed. The best being we can do now is to help | :04:01. | :04:04.
to ensure that these parents, children, teachers have a very | :04:05. | :04:09.
smooth transition. I cannot see what we can do other than that now. I am | :04:10. | :04:14.
now determined to support the parents, pupils and teachers and | :04:15. | :04:19.
make their life as easy as possible over the next two years. And | :04:20. | :04:23.
ensuring these children have a smooth transition to their new | :04:24. | :04:26.
schools is the focus now for those who led the campaign is to save the | :04:27. | :04:33.
schools, rather than trying to reverse the decision. We have to | :04:34. | :04:40.
work with what you have got and do the best for our children. Education | :04:41. | :04:46.
is confident closing these schools is the best option but they are | :04:47. | :04:50.
going to have to work hard to reassure parents moving forward | :04:51. | :04:55.
Meanwhile, debate on reform to supplementary benefits and the rent | :04:56. | :04:59.
rebate scheme will resume in Guernsey States in two weeks time | :05:00. | :05:05.
after the agenda failed to be got through. Earlier a change to the | :05:06. | :05:11.
benefit system was rejected when a vote split the assembly. Members | :05:12. | :05:23.
will reconvene later in the month. Thank you for being with us. Still | :05:24. | :05:29.
to come in Spotlight: The full`scale search for this youngster, who was | :05:30. | :05:32.
eventually found fast asleep under his bed. | :05:33. | :05:39.
Brilliant story. Stay tuned. In sport, illness has been the story of | :05:40. | :05:48.
Guernsey tennis star's Heather Watson's year. | :05:49. | :05:53.
She had glandular fever and dropped to below 120 in the rankings. She | :05:54. | :05:58.
dropped out of her tennis tournament tonight although she won two games | :05:59. | :06:02.
yesterday. After those triumphs sports reporter caught up with her. | :06:03. | :06:09.
It has been successful here at Barnstaple for Heather Watson after | :06:10. | :06:12.
she won in singles and doubles. Deposit like for you? It was a tough | :06:13. | :06:19.
day. # What was it like for you? I woke | :06:20. | :06:28.
up with a bad stomach and not much energy but I somehow managed to get | :06:29. | :06:32.
through. I was not sure if I could play the doubles but I had two | :06:33. | :06:38.
hours' rest and that really helped. And then we came and won are doubles | :06:39. | :06:42.
so we are very pleased. You are regarded as the best thing since | :06:43. | :06:47.
sliced bread for British tennis so what were the problems you | :06:48. | :06:49.
encountered earlier this season which you seem to have overcome | :06:50. | :06:55.
This season I got to my career high at the beginning of the year, but | :06:56. | :06:59.
ended up getting ill, getting glandular fever. And coming back too | :07:00. | :07:04.
soon, because I was keen to play, especially the Grand Slams. And not | :07:05. | :07:11.
being fit is not going to win the matches. It took a confidence | :07:12. | :07:20.
beating. It has been a dominant effect and I was not winning any | :07:21. | :07:24.
matches. But I am pleased with how I am finishing the year now. You seem | :07:25. | :07:29.
to be regaining confidence. I noticed your mother was here as | :07:30. | :07:36.
well. How much of a support is she? It is great to have my mother | :07:37. | :07:40.
around. I have had such a tough time this year and your family is always | :07:41. | :07:43.
there for you. Where are you going after this tournament? Back to | :07:44. | :07:49.
Guernsey. I am going to have a holiday. Insane Peter Port? Yes `` | :07:50. | :08:01.
in Saint Peter Port? What are your ambitions for next year? To get back | :08:02. | :08:08.
into the top 100. More in Spotlight. The Guernsey cow is a symbolic | :08:09. | :08:13.
representation of the island and it is now being used as a weapon to | :08:14. | :08:20.
help conserve endangered habitats. The beautiful grassland of Guernsey, | :08:21. | :08:25.
but the conservation group La Societe Guernesiaise claims that | :08:26. | :08:28.
almost half of the island's species rich grassland is being lost in the | :08:29. | :08:34.
last decade. Agricultural intensification and changes in land | :08:35. | :08:37.
use are being blamed for the demise of heathland and insect habitats. | :08:38. | :08:42.
Faced with such a shocking situation, there is only one place | :08:43. | :08:48.
to turn and it is this lot. OK, maybe not quite these cows but plans | :08:49. | :08:52.
are already under way for a conservation herd whose primary | :08:53. | :08:55.
objective is not to produce milk or meat but to keep passages clear | :08:56. | :09:01.
without destroying important insects and flowers. They will go to these | :09:02. | :09:06.
grassland and some environment Department land. They will reduce | :09:07. | :09:12.
the dominance of grasses and make their patches for wild flowers to | :09:13. | :09:15.
germinate, and hopefully over time we will see swathes of wild flowers | :09:16. | :09:22.
and butterflies and bees and invertebrates, and then the birds | :09:23. | :09:26.
that feed on them as well. Our cattle do not come cheap and the | :09:27. | :09:30.
heroic herd is costing almost ? 000 to buy. And it is all thanks to one | :09:31. | :09:34.
man, who ran a gruelling marathon across the Sahara desert to raise | :09:35. | :09:41.
the funds. The Hurd did not cross my mind when I was in the middle of the | :09:42. | :09:46.
desert, to be honest. It was a tough race, my first ever marathon. I had | :09:47. | :09:51.
never run one before. It was a really tough race but it was such an | :09:52. | :09:57.
incredible experience so it was well worth giving. So if you have a | :09:58. | :10:00.
pastor problem, do not bring in the mowers when you can bring in the | :10:01. | :10:06.
mooers. Probably not the best weekend to | :10:07. | :10:16.
have fireworks and bonfire displays as far as the weather is going | :10:17. | :10:21.
because it looks quite implement. As we get into Sunday evening there is | :10:22. | :10:27.
the possibility of widespread and heavy rain. For tomorrow, windy | :10:28. | :10:32.
conditions. Showers around right through the day. A little colder, | :10:33. | :10:36.
too, so wrapped up warm if you are heading out. You can see most of | :10:37. | :10:41.
what is happening through the weekend on this satellite picture. | :10:42. | :10:46.
This white cloud here is giving us the rain. That will move away | :10:47. | :10:51.
swiftly. This cloud here is the next area of low pressure. That will move | :10:52. | :10:54.
quite swiftly in during the course of the day on Saturday. In the | :10:55. | :10:58.
afternoon into the evening we have the strength of wind and that one | :10:59. | :11:02.
will move swiftly away again with a new area of low pressure on Sunday | :11:03. | :11:05.
bringing wet weather especially by early evening. So lots going on over | :11:06. | :11:10.
the next 24 hours. Windy conditions for a time in that rain band. The | :11:11. | :11:16.
wind will change direction, becoming largely westerly by the morning and | :11:17. | :11:20.
overnight temperatures no lower than 12 degrees. Showers off and on | :11:21. | :11:27.
tomorrow morning. Continuing throughout the day. Becoming quite | :11:28. | :11:32.
frequent in the afternoon. All through the day tomorrow, the wind | :11:33. | :11:38.
will steadily increase. Come the end of the afternoon, lively wind. There | :11:39. | :11:47.
is our coastal waters forecast. Good visibility outside of the showers. | :11:48. | :11:54.
Most West facing beaches are likely to be messy because of the big seas | :11:55. | :12:02.
and the onshore wind, for the surfers. Heavy rain setting in on | :12:03. | :12:12.
Sunday and Tuesday. Monday is the best day. | :12:13. | :12:15.
about his brother. I was just hiding. You were just hiding? Yes. | :12:16. | :12:32.
You're watching Spotlight from the BBC, tonight with Rebecca Wills and | :12:33. | :12:36.
Simon Clemison. Take a look at the speed this boat | :12:37. | :12:40.
across Tor Bay ` we'll hear from its record`breaking skipper who's blind. | :12:41. | :12:47.
And aiming to hit the winning shot. We'll find out what Guernsey's | :12:48. | :12:52.
Heather Watson makes of the Barnstaple Open. | :12:53. | :12:59.
Millions of pounds is being invested in a new centre at an agricultural | :13:00. | :13:02.
college where students will be taught how to look after rare breeds | :13:03. | :13:07.
of animal. Bicton in East Devon is specialising in growing the herds ` | :13:08. | :13:10.
some which are still only small in size, as our environment | :13:11. | :13:12.
correspondent Adrian Campbell has been finding out. | :13:13. | :13:23.
Strawberry is a very special and rare cow with a pure pedigree. She | :13:24. | :13:28.
is a dairy shorthorn, one of just 70 in the world. She and eight other | :13:29. | :13:33.
colours like her have come to this college, which intends to be a | :13:34. | :13:37.
centre of excellence training students in the care of breeds. `` | :13:38. | :13:45.
she and eight four calves. We have a programme where we use embryo | :13:46. | :13:49.
transfer to flush Embrun was out, to put them into surrogate heifers | :13:50. | :13:56.
which can be any breed so we can boost the numbers very quickly so | :13:57. | :14:00.
that the breed does not die out. Once we lose a fix, they are lost | :14:01. | :14:04.
fervour. `` to flush embryos out. This is the entrance to the new | :14:05. | :14:09.
school. It is costing around ?3 million and is very impressive. From | :14:10. | :14:13.
the outset, it is a striking addition and the staff are already | :14:14. | :14:17.
looking forward to moving. We are very pleased with how the building | :14:18. | :14:21.
looks. Can you give us a look at the handover will be? At the latest at | :14:22. | :14:29.
the end of next week. It is not just rare cattle they specialise in at | :14:30. | :14:32.
this college, the students say they believe they will be learning very | :14:33. | :14:38.
marketable skills here as rare breeds become increasingly important | :14:39. | :14:40.
to agriculture in the next two years. Lecturers say there is a | :14:41. | :14:43.
bright future ahead for their students. Animal care strip to have | :14:44. | :14:50.
experience with a wild variety of animals. To make them more | :14:51. | :14:53.
employable, we deal with small and large animals. We teach them all but | :14:54. | :14:57.
the importance of keeping rarer breeds alive and how they have a | :14:58. | :15:00.
place in the animal care industry on the farming industry. The college | :15:01. | :15:05.
says it is in a unique position to develop important skills for | :15:06. | :15:07.
tomorrow's farmers. Now, travelling at speeds in excess | :15:08. | :15:11.
of 95mph on the water is probably enough to phase most people. But | :15:12. | :15:16.
imagine doing it when you're blind. Well, former bank manager Mike | :15:17. | :15:19.
Newman took a powerboat to full throttle in Tor Bay and broke a | :15:20. | :15:22.
world record to become the fastest person on water, who's blind. Mike | :15:23. | :15:28.
already holds the blind land speed record and becomes the first man | :15:29. | :15:32.
ever to hold both. Our South Devon reporter John Ayres was there to | :15:33. | :15:37.
watch. This is the boat, the challenge to | :15:38. | :15:43.
keep something like this steady at sea and at high speed. Mike has been | :15:44. | :15:49.
blind almost since birth. He is a big motor sports fanatic, that is | :15:50. | :15:53.
why he doesn't. For a few minutes or Mormons, I can glimpse into a world | :15:54. | :15:56.
that I would normally love to live in. It is a very physical | :15:57. | :16:02.
experience, very tactile. `` minutes for moments. I cannot see where I am | :16:03. | :16:06.
going but all of the other senses are live and heart of the | :16:07. | :16:10.
experience. He is being helped by the boat owner. He is going to have | :16:11. | :16:14.
to use all of his senses, which he's good at. He needs those to survive | :16:15. | :16:19.
when we do not. Walking around with my eye shade, `` eyes shut, I would | :16:20. | :16:28.
fall over. He does not. He has all of the natural attributes to keep | :16:29. | :16:31.
the boat level. To break the record, Mike has two drives in a | :16:32. | :16:35.
street light in one direction and then back in the opposite direction. | :16:36. | :16:40.
It is an average of the top speeds. It is measured by GPS and from the | :16:41. | :16:44.
support board, it has clearly broken it by at least two miles per hour. | :16:45. | :16:53.
Speechless! It is an amazing rush. Exhilarating experience. To be the | :16:54. | :16:59.
fastest blind man in the water. It is a hugely emotional time for | :17:00. | :17:02.
family and friends. George Nelson used to teach and when he was under. | :17:03. | :17:08.
I am proud. I know just what it has meant to him. He has been through a | :17:09. | :17:14.
lot to get this far and it is great, we are so pleased to be here | :17:15. | :17:20.
to see this event with him. Michael already holds the blind land speed | :17:21. | :17:25.
record at 186 mph and has performed 26 looks looks in a plane. It does | :17:26. | :17:31.
not stop here. He wants to break others know. `` 26 loop the loops. | :17:32. | :17:35.
And we've heard that record has been verified at 95.18 miles per hour, as | :17:36. | :17:41.
measured by GPS. The UK's premier indoor tennis | :17:42. | :17:44.
tournament reaches its conclusion this weekend at Barnstaple in North | :17:45. | :17:52.
Devon. As the open reaches its conclusion, where better to send | :17:53. | :18:00.
brave? `` Dave? Here in Barnstaple, we will be | :18:01. | :18:03.
talking to Heather Watson on the completion of a doubles match, | :18:04. | :18:09.
behind me warming up with her partner to one. We will be talking | :18:10. | :18:12.
to her about her current form but first, the rest of the sport. Tom | :18:13. | :18:20.
James returns tonight for a Premiership rugby jewel. James is | :18:21. | :18:23.
back and starting for the first time in four games. He replaces Tonga's | :18:24. | :18:28.
player, an international duty with this country. Also back is the | :18:29. | :18:37.
full`back. The Chiefs, now fourth in the table, face a team which is much | :18:38. | :18:43.
improved so they will be wary of what lies ahead. BBC Radio did in | :18:44. | :18:50.
his commentary. BBC radio Cornwall will follow the corner pirates. | :18:51. | :18:55.
They look to recover from their 41`6 battering at London Welsh against | :18:56. | :19:03.
London Scottish. Tomorrow, and intriguing contest for plumbers | :19:04. | :19:05.
Albion when they face Bristol at Brookfield. `` Plymouth Albion. | :19:06. | :19:15.
Turning to football, Yeovil Town, unbeaten in two Championship games, | :19:16. | :19:19.
attempt to stretch the run at Leeds United. They took care of promotion | :19:20. | :19:28.
plans at Nottingham Forest. Exeter city's away form is turning out to | :19:29. | :19:31.
be far superior than that of St James' Park. Portsmouth will not | :19:32. | :19:36.
present any fears. John Sheridan will be keen to add to | :19:37. | :19:40.
last week's win at Mansfield was another against Northampton. | :19:41. | :19:49.
Alan Mel returns to bury as Torquay United manager as they try to haul | :19:50. | :19:51.
themselves away from the bottom three. It has been a successful time | :19:52. | :19:56.
at the tennis Centre for Heather Watson. | :19:57. | :20:00.
She joins me now. What you think of the facilities question work I love | :20:01. | :20:03.
them and this club. It is great. It is my favourite colour. And the | :20:04. | :20:09.
crowds here are from. We always had a good show. Does this kind of | :20:10. | :20:15.
tournament help you get over the recent problems that you have had? | :20:16. | :20:20.
Absolutely. I had my first few wins in a row last week and I am bringing | :20:21. | :20:26.
the confidence that I came from there after some really tough | :20:27. | :20:31.
matches to this week. What were the problems you encountered earlier | :20:32. | :20:34.
this season, which using to have overcome? This season, I got to my | :20:35. | :20:38.
career high at the beginning of the year. I ended up getting sick, | :20:39. | :20:44.
glandular fever, and coming back too soon because I was keen to play. | :20:45. | :20:50.
Especially the Grand Slams. Not being fit, you know, is not going to | :20:51. | :20:54.
win you matches. Because I have lost a clue, `` lost a few, it took a | :20:55. | :21:01.
beating to my confidence and it was a domino effect and I was not | :21:02. | :21:04.
winning many matches. I am pleased with how I am finishing the year. | :21:05. | :21:09.
And noticed your mother was here. How much of a support issue? It is | :21:10. | :21:12.
great to have her around. I have had such a tough time this year and your | :21:13. | :21:18.
family is or was there for you. Where are you going after this | :21:19. | :21:22.
tournament? I am going back to Guernsey. I am going to have a | :21:23. | :21:28.
holiday. In Saint Peter Port? Yes. Well`deserved, if I may say so. What | :21:29. | :21:34.
about 2014 is to mark what are your additions for next? My first goal is | :21:35. | :21:39.
to get back into the top 100. `` what are your ambitions? We wish you | :21:40. | :21:43.
well and every success. Thank you very much. | :21:44. | :21:48.
Heather Watson from Guernsey. She is going back home. You can see Heather | :21:49. | :21:54.
and Jo Anne because there is more tennis on Saturday. It starts at | :21:55. | :21:59.
1pm. Dave having a lovely time in | :22:00. | :22:01.
Barnstaple. South West yachtsman Sam Goodchild | :22:02. | :22:04.
is preparing to compete in a transatlantic yacht race. The | :22:05. | :22:06.
23`year`old Falmouth skipper will set off from Le Havre, in France, | :22:07. | :22:10.
this weekend in the Transat Jacques Vabre race to Brazil. His co`skipper | :22:11. | :22:14.
for the race is Ned Collier Wakefield. | :22:15. | :22:17.
It's the second time the pair have competed in the race, having failed | :22:18. | :22:20.
to finish in 2011. Meanwhile, organisers are considering whether | :22:21. | :22:23.
to delay the start because of a forecast of bad weather. Spotlights | :22:24. | :22:29.
Andy Breare is in Le Havre. `` what light's. | :22:30. | :22:34.
Thousands of French ceiling fans have been coming to the race village | :22:35. | :22:37.
to see the boats and meet the skippers who will be setting off on | :22:38. | :22:44.
the race to Brazil at the weekend. Sam Goodchild and his co`skipper | :22:45. | :22:46.
have unfinished business with this race. Two years ago, the boat | :22:47. | :22:51.
suffered damage and they were forced to retire. The last time, about one | :22:52. | :22:58.
week and, we were in the top two and had some damage. It all kind of went | :22:59. | :23:05.
wrong. We had to dump the boat and it was not repairable. It took five | :23:06. | :23:11.
months to fix. We had to ship it back to Europe so could not carry | :23:12. | :23:15.
on. This time, we at the very least want to finish. I don't want to do | :23:16. | :23:20.
badly, as we do it. As you can see, the fleet is all here and ready to | :23:21. | :23:25.
go. The only sticking point is the weather. The reason is due to start | :23:26. | :23:29.
on Sunday at lunchtime. There are more is going around that that might | :23:30. | :23:33.
be postponed until Monday because of a storm that is due to hit at the | :23:34. | :23:36.
weekend. The final decision on that will be taken tomorrow morning. We | :23:37. | :23:42.
have a low pressure system that is coming in and we are going to have | :23:43. | :23:46.
some fairly strong winds, 45 knots, and it is whether it hits us in the | :23:47. | :23:54.
channel. If it is someone else will become runaway and are not doing so | :23:55. | :23:58.
many manoeuvres then we will be tackling into 45 knots of wind. It | :23:59. | :24:07.
is better to delay it. Ahead of these yachts, a 5500 mile race. Sam | :24:08. | :24:12.
and Ned not only want to finish this time round but are hoping they will | :24:13. | :24:18.
be in contention for a podium race. We have got plenty of wind here. Not | :24:19. | :24:25.
at the moment but coming up to stop Saturday evening? | :24:26. | :24:29.
The start of that race could be affected by some strong winds. Not | :24:30. | :24:33.
just sailors being affected. Lots of us are going to a bonfire of | :24:34. | :24:37.
fireworks display this weekend. It is going to be fairly windy. | :24:38. | :24:41.
Probably the quietest night will be tonight's displays. But there are | :24:42. | :24:46.
displays tomorrow and Sunday and it will be quick windy. Also doing just | :24:47. | :24:49.
that little bit cooler because of the threat of wind which is coming | :24:50. | :24:54.
in from the Atlantic. You can see 3`D's worth of whether on this | :24:55. | :24:58.
subtly. That lump of cloud is tonight's remain. A little area of | :24:59. | :25:03.
low pressure. `` three days. Out here, further across the Atlantic, | :25:04. | :25:08.
another lump of cloud will arrive on Sunday to give us some excellent. | :25:09. | :25:13.
This is the main feature. This lawless recent awards. Develops and | :25:14. | :25:18.
becomes a deep `` this law is racing towards us. The wind will peak at 60 | :25:19. | :25:25.
mph on Saturday. We will probably have the strongest gusts of wind in | :25:26. | :25:30.
the Bristol Channel. For all is, Saturday evening will be windy. That | :25:31. | :25:37.
moves away over the next 36 hours. At the moment, we have some heavy | :25:38. | :25:41.
rain in the English Channel. That is brushing up parts of East Devon into | :25:42. | :25:45.
Dorset and Somerset. For the rest of us, a few showers are possible but | :25:46. | :25:49.
later denied, a lot of that we will move out of the way. We will get | :25:50. | :25:52.
some clear skies, allowing the temperatures to put down into single | :25:53. | :25:56.
figures as well as some mist and fairly light winds. Those are the | :25:57. | :26:00.
overnight temperatures, anywhere from seven degrees in the | :26:01. | :26:03.
countryside to 11 degrees in the towns. Tomorrow morning, to not be | :26:04. | :26:09.
fooled too much by a bright and quiet start. Gradually through the | :26:10. | :26:12.
day, the winds will increase, the clouds will also and by the end of | :26:13. | :26:15.
the afternoon, plenty of showers around. History showers also. Any | :26:16. | :26:21.
were inland, the costs will be around 40 mph. Particularly along | :26:22. | :26:26.
the coast and the Bristol Channel, we could have 60 mph winds. | :26:27. | :26:29.
Temperatures not feeling very one tomorrow. Feeling a lot colder | :26:30. | :26:36.
because of the strength of wind. If you are out tomorrow evening, you | :26:37. | :26:40.
will need a windproof and waterproof. There are plenty of | :26:41. | :26:44.
heavy showers around. The will feel quite chilly and it will be very | :26:45. | :26:47.
blustery. That is the forecast for the Isles of Scilly. Showers and | :26:48. | :26:52.
increasingly windy. Times of high water here. | :26:53. | :27:01.
If you are heading out to sea, pretty rough seas. Ferries could | :27:02. | :27:07.
well be affected by the strength of wind on Saturday. On the north | :27:08. | :27:11.
coast, these conditions are likely to be very messy, if not stormy | :27:12. | :27:16.
through the afternoon. The coastal waters forecast, for those aiming to | :27:17. | :27:22.
go out to see. This lump of cloud is a new area of low pressure. That | :27:23. | :27:26.
will arrive a cross was during the course of the latter part of Sunday | :27:27. | :27:29.
and into Sunday night. It will become quite wet again and also | :27:30. | :27:33.
windy. Take care of this weekend. That you, David. That is the end of | :27:34. | :27:40.
another Spotlight week. I will be back at 1020 5p. From everyone on | :27:41. | :27:43.
the team, had a good evening and good weekend. | :27:44. | :27:43.
Goodbye. | :27:44. | :27:45. |
