Good evening. Three people remain in police custody denied at the murder

of a 46`year`old man in St Helier. Colin Chevalier was found at his

place in Duhamel Place on Saturday night. It is believed he and the

three suspects knew each other. Through the drizzle and the rain the

investigation continues into why and how a man was murdered here late on

Saturday night. Police say 46`year`old Colin

Chevalier lived in a property in Duhamel Place, where he died. A

picture is beginning to emerge but we still have a lot of people that

we want to speak to come including the suspects, of course, in order to

establish what took place on Saturday night.

Police got the call here around 10:20pm on Saturday night where they

found the dead man. Shortly afterwards, a man and a woman were

arrested on suspicion of murder. Another 35`year`old man was arrested

here on Jersey's East coursed `` coursed by armed police. He remains

in hospital under armed guard tonight but police say they are some

way off from charging anyone. I think the peak `` public sometimes

assume, there have been arrests, the police have their man and women,

done job. That is not the case, there is an

awful lot of work that will have to be done this week, forensics

investigations, witnesses to be spoken to and the suspects to be

interviewed. We have already engaged with legal advisers and the law

office's Department and consideration of charges will be

determined in new course later this week. 48 hours after police got for

`` first got the call that Colin Chevalier had been murdered in the

apartment behind me, forensics teams have been here trying to find that

what happened. A Home Office pathologist has also

been in Jersey carrying out a postmortem. Earlier today police

wanted to know the whereabouts of a dark coloured Volkswagen Polo parked

on the street on Saturday and moved hours before his death. They found

the car this afternoon. The last murder in Jersey was in 2011. The

investigation is set to continue here for the rest of the evening and

on into the week. The death of a 17`year`old has been

linked by police to a class a drug. Jared Harrison was found dead at a

house in Saint earlier on Saturday morning. Friends of the boy said he

was caring and popular. A caring teenager with a big

personality. Jared's friends described him as popular and a

joker. Today his younger brother said his death has left a gaping

hole. He is my special big brother, just

my bodyguard, always there for me. He had a bigger heart than him to be

honest. The houses to quiet at the moment. Youth workers have been out

on Jersey's streets since Saturday lunchtime offering support to upset

youngsters. They are great group of young people

that have been supporting each other and listening to each other, lots of

hugs for each other and they have been there for each other, which is

nice to see. The police say the 17`year`old may

have taken a white powder he believed was MDMA, commonly known as

ecstacy. Three other young men were taken to hospital and have since

been discharged. Jersey's Chief Medical Officer of Health says it's

a wake up call. I think it is only sadly with the

growing statistics that people are starting to really wake up to the

fight it is not just a new way of young people having fun and taking

risks, it is frankly dangerous and better to be avoided. Today Jersey

Police released on bail two teenagers who had been arrested on

suspicion of importing a controlled substance.

They are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Meanwhile, Jared's friends say they'll remember him as a big care

bear who's heart was bigger than him.

It has the biggest budget the biggest spending department in

Guernsey's government is being told to title its bets as Michael Tait

and its belt. Health and social services needs to find more than ?3

million worth of savings whilst also generating income of almost 10

million. Mike Wilkins reports on another

challenge facing the island's health authorities. Guernsey's HSSD is

facing its own emergency as it rushes to make savings before the

end of the year. The department needs to save almost

?5 million, but has so far only managed 2 million. And now health

bosses in the building behind me have come up with a plan to make up

the remainder. An operation plan has been released

today. It's more of an overview ` there's no confirmation of which

services will come under pressure. We're not going into details of what

individual plans are. We have identified the high`level projects,

for example, we are doing a drug and alcohol strategy. We don't go into

detail of what is in that drug and alcohol strategy. This is

identifying what project we will be doing and, obviously, the more

detailed bits as and when necessary will come back and be published.

But reigning in spending on low priority drugs and reviewing

contracts with service providers are some of the ways it says it can

reduce its expenditure. But what do people on the street think should be

done? It is very difficult to know which

services, because they all seem so important. It depends on their

definition, low priority to one person is high priority to someone

else. It is a hard one.

It will help some people, but not others.

What to cut and who will be affected remains to be seen as the Health

Department does what it can to balance the books whilst keeping as

many services as it can alive. That is the latest news from BBC

Good evening, we have some fine weather to look forward to this

week. There may be some showers around this evening and one or two

first thing tomorrow morning but they will clear it of the way then

we will have some sunshine. At the moment the risk of showers is quite

high, we will see a few more overnight tonight, but once those

are right of the way there will be lengthy clear spells tonight, so it

will be colder than recently, but much better visibility. Seven

Celsius the minimum temperature and tomorrow a few morning showers, but

by the afternoon they will have gone, rest of the day is fine and

dry. There is a chilly breeze, you will have to wrap up warmly, 12 or

13 Celsius the maximum, despite quite a bit of sunshine through the

afternoon and into the early evening. As we look through this

week, the outlook is dry, light winds on Wednesday and Thursday,

Thursday rather more cloudy and Friday at risk of showers but not

clearer spells and that allows the temperatures to drop away. The
