Attempts are being made to speed up a vital link to secure Guernsey's

and France but only one is working. The new link is expected to come

online in the next few months and there are plans for a second cable

between Guernsey and Jersey. The existing cable that lies beneath

remains a concern for Guernsey Electricity who say it is working

with the Manufacturer to try and understand why it is causing

ceremony problems. Guernsey Electricity has once

again failed to make a profit. In 2012, both the Guernsey to Jersey

and Jersey to France cables failed, leading to a loss of ?3.4 million as

well as a price hike for customers. Last year, things picked up with

a shortfall of over ?250 million. It has, however,

stemmed the loss of previous years, but bosses say prices shouldn?t

rise for the forseeable future. A 22`year`old man has been charged

with the burglary of a Guernsey About 50 pieces of jewellery worth

died late last night. She'd shown no signs of illness

and was found by her keeper She came to the conservation park in

1968, after being confiscated from bearing and raising six precious

babies. We are standard by it. She was much

love. By staff, volunteers and our visitors as well. But she has left a

great legacy in terms of her offspring and she was well liked and

the memories she has left with people.

Safety fears for Jersey's air space and residents has lead to a new law

on small unmanned aircraft, otherwise known as drones.

Up until now, only model aircraft have had to abide by regulations,

but as the popularity of these small aerial vehicles used

to capture photos and videos grows, so does the concern of a collision.

he has to have a licence but those They've had the freedom to fly

where they want, until today. A new law means they have to abide

by the same regulations as Steve. These new regulations mean these

unmanned vehicles have to operate away from buildings, vehicles and

persons, unless they are under the supervision of pilots.

These new regulations now means that small aerial vehicles cannot be used

within 50 metres of any building, vehicle or person unless they are

If one was to malfunction, you wouldn't want it over someone's

head. There was a prosecution for breaking these rules. Steve has seen

other reckless flying and welcomes the new law. The lowest common sense

shouldn't be tarnished with the bad name of someone flying towards the

airport or in front of a plane or whatever may happen. This law were
