changes to grading and assessment. That is all from the | :00:00. | :00:08.
Shot outside their shop. Two men are injured, one critically, after a | :00:09. | :00:11.
bungled armed robbery. Witnesses heard gunshots. I saw police cars | :00:12. | :00:21.
outside here. When I came out, I saw the shopkeeper, the owner of the | :00:22. | :00:26.
shop, bleeding. We'll have the latest on the police investigation. | :00:27. | :00:34.
Also tonight: I am on the M25 at junction 24 Potters Bar following a | :00:35. | :00:41.
crash which has meant part of the busiest motorway in a country has | :00:42. | :00:43.
been closed. Lest we forget. But why a student | :00:44. | :00:50.
union has provoked anger by choosing not to remember the fallen. We | :00:51. | :00:55.
discuss its anti`war stance. In 1998, I had this dream, a garden | :00:56. | :00:59.
floating through the air across the Thames. | :01:00. | :01:01.
Not just a way of getting from A to B. Joanna Lumley's vision for a | :01:02. | :01:05.
different kind of river crossing. Good evening and welcome to the | :01:06. | :01:21.
programme. First tonight, the poppy debate. | :01:22. | :01:29.
"For your tomorrow, we gave our today."' The words read out at | :01:30. | :01:32.
Remembrance day services across the country. But the University of | :01:33. | :01:35.
London's Student Union has provoked anger by banning its members from | :01:36. | :01:38.
attending such ceremonies in an official capacity. It says it has a | :01:39. | :01:42.
proud tradition of opposing war. In a moment, we'll be discussing the | :01:43. | :01:45.
issue. But first, this report from Sonja Jessup. | :01:46. | :01:52.
Remembering those who gave their lives. For many, Remembrance Day is | :01:53. | :01:57.
about honouring those who died. But some see it as a political act. The | :01:58. | :02:02.
University of London union has decided its members will not attend | :02:03. | :02:06.
in an official role. What this is absolutely not about is whether one | :02:07. | :02:09.
that we remember the dead, it is about how we do that. Personally, I | :02:10. | :02:14.
find it distasteful to be standing next to Tony Blair on a plinth to | :02:15. | :02:18.
commemorate the atrocities of war. He also will not wear a poppy, | :02:19. | :02:25.
saying it is a political statement. But critics say his views are | :02:26. | :02:29.
disrespectful. I don't think any of the remembrance acts are political. | :02:30. | :02:32.
I think at the end of the day, it is about remembering those who have | :02:33. | :02:35.
fallen and the ultimate sacrifice they have made for the liberties we | :02:36. | :02:39.
strongly enjoy today. She says poppies, many made at this factory | :02:40. | :02:44.
in Richmond, help support former servicemen and women and students | :02:45. | :02:48.
should have been consulted. We are not remembering why we went to war, | :02:49. | :02:52.
we are there to think about the people who have sacrificed their | :02:53. | :02:57.
lives. They should not bring Remembrance Day, which is a very | :02:58. | :03:01.
emotional thing for a lot of people come into a political row. It is not | :03:02. | :03:06.
right. At London's oldest mosque today, they launched their poppy | :03:07. | :03:11.
appeal. This man's Father James fought in the Second World War. He | :03:12. | :03:16.
is proud of his dad, proud to wear a poppy. The poppy stands for | :03:17. | :03:22.
devotion, dedication and, also, it is the ultimate sacrifice. And we | :03:23. | :03:25.
know that war is not a nice thing, it is a savage thing, but | :03:26. | :03:29.
nonetheless we have two strokes that level of loyalty to our country. The | :03:30. | :03:36.
union says it will have its own event to honour the dead but some | :03:37. | :03:39.
say it is shameful not to attend the official service. | :03:40. | :03:43.
With me now to discuss that is Michael Chessum, President of the | :03:44. | :03:46.
University of London Union, who you saw in that report. And Gemma Doyle, | :03:47. | :03:52.
the Shadow Defence Minister. Good evening. Michael, I want to start | :03:53. | :03:55.
with you. Is there not a danger you have missed the central message of | :03:56. | :03:59.
Remembrance Day? This is a day that people reflect on the consequences | :04:00. | :04:04.
of war, not the glory of war. Well, to an extent I think that is true, | :04:05. | :04:08.
but there is an awful lot of rhetoric that surrounds Remembrance | :04:09. | :04:14.
Day, official Remembrance Day. We have not taken a stand against | :04:15. | :04:17.
remembrance or respect in general, we have merely said we don't want to | :04:18. | :04:21.
participate in the official ceremony, which is absolutely about | :04:22. | :04:25.
nationalism and flags and precisely the things that got us into the mess | :04:26. | :04:28.
of the 20th century in the first place. As Michael got a point, has | :04:29. | :04:34.
the core message of Remembrance Day begun to get lost, with the wars and | :04:35. | :04:37.
conflicts are other ways of marking it? Absolutely not and I think | :04:38. | :04:42.
Michael is over politicising Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day is | :04:43. | :04:47.
not about supporting any particular military intervention, it is not | :04:48. | :04:53.
about taking a stand about any country's foreign policy. It is | :04:54. | :04:56.
simply about pausing to remember the people who have given their lives, | :04:57. | :04:59.
and also the money that is raised from the poppy appeal goes to, among | :05:00. | :05:03.
other things, supporting those who have been injured and their | :05:04. | :05:08.
families. Michael, it raises more than ?36 million every year for | :05:09. | :05:11.
families and veterans and without that money, they could be suffering | :05:12. | :05:16.
even more. I think it is a little odd that that is often used. I think | :05:17. | :05:21.
that when a Labour government votes to go to war, I think to send people | :05:22. | :05:28.
to kill and die, to commit crimes in the name of the British government, | :05:29. | :05:33.
I think the state should pick up the pieces from that. And they are | :05:34. | :05:38.
defending the country as well, at the cost of lives? We are talking | :05:39. | :05:43.
about a lot of wars, over many, many yours. Absolutely and I find it | :05:44. | :05:47.
problematic that we are rivalling them all into one, because what we | :05:48. | :05:52.
are so often told about Remembrance Day is that it is to remember people | :05:53. | :05:55.
who gave their lives for our freedom, but the sad truth is that | :05:56. | :06:00.
so many of the wars were not fought for freedom. The First World War, | :06:01. | :06:04.
which is how this all started, with General Haig, was fought for | :06:05. | :06:09.
Britain's imperial ambition. The Iraq war was fought for oil. And I | :06:10. | :06:13.
find it insulting and many people do to stand next to Tony Blair on a | :06:14. | :06:18.
plane. Gemma's party was involved in some of those decisions. I would say | :06:19. | :06:22.
take those issues up with the people who make those decisions, the | :06:23. | :06:26.
politicians. Not serving personnel. That is not what we are doing. By | :06:27. | :06:31.
boycotting Remembrance Day, that is exactly what you are doing. They do | :06:32. | :06:38.
not make decisions about military interventions. It is the | :06:39. | :06:41.
politicians, the House of Commons, who make those decisions and the men | :06:42. | :06:45.
and women of the Armed Forces and their families simply do what is | :06:46. | :06:49.
asked of them. We have got to leave it there, but you guys can swap | :06:50. | :06:52.
numbers and continue this discussion, I am sure. | :06:53. | :06:58.
Many thanks. Still to come on the programme. Reducing the risk of | :06:59. | :07:01.
miscarriage, the new test for down syndrome which could soon be | :07:02. | :07:07.
available on the NHS. ``down's syndrome. | :07:08. | :07:15.
For the second time in a week, the same stretch of Britain's busiest | :07:16. | :07:19.
motorway has been closed because of a major accident. This time an | :07:20. | :07:23.
overturned lorry led to traffic chaos for thousands of motorists. | :07:24. | :07:27.
Four people have been injured, one critically. The M25 remains closed | :07:28. | :07:32.
anticlockwise between Enfield and Potters Bar. One name is closed | :07:33. | :07:36.
clockwise on that stretch adding two hours to journalists ``1 lane. Greg | :07:37. | :07:43.
McKenzie is close to the scene. Well, the crash scene is just behind | :07:44. | :07:47.
us, just slightly out of you around that bend. Police were called here | :07:48. | :07:55.
at 930 this morning after reports of an overturned lorry ``at 9:30am. It | :07:56. | :08:03.
was between junctions 24 and 25. Four people were injured, three of | :08:04. | :08:07.
whom were road workers who were out repairing road surfaces. The other | :08:08. | :08:13.
was the lorry driver. The emergency services had to free two of those | :08:14. | :08:16.
men, one who was trapped in the cab of the lorry and the second was | :08:17. | :08:23.
trapped underneath a barrier. Now, a third man was airlifted to | :08:24. | :08:27.
hospital. He is said to be in a critical condition, with serious leg | :08:28. | :08:32.
injuries. Now, we are told in no other vehicles were involved in this | :08:33. | :08:37.
crash and police have confirmed that are just a few hours ago they have | :08:38. | :08:42.
made an arrest and are questioning one`man on suspicion of dangerous | :08:43. | :08:45.
driving. Inevitably, there will be delays tonight and the advice for | :08:46. | :08:55.
anybody attempting to come onto the M25 is this. The M25 is shut on the | :08:56. | :09:02.
anticlockwise carriageway between junctions 24 and 25, until eight | :09:03. | :09:05.
o'clock with a leap. The diversion route is very heavy, the North | :09:06. | :09:07.
circular, and be ``the A1 and A10 circular, and be ``the A1 and A10 | :09:08. | :09:19.
are very heavy. Dreadful Q3 Kent and Surrey tonight. | :09:20. | :09:26.
Will investigators be looking at why there are two accidents there in a | :09:27. | :09:29.
week? Police are telling me they are | :09:30. | :09:32.
conducting two separate investigations. One about a | :09:33. | :09:36.
Tuesday's incident, where a man did die, and today's incident. | :09:37. | :09:40.
Meanwhile, the highways agency has said they are not prepared to say | :09:41. | :09:45.
anything further, as they feel it would be inappropriate at this time. | :09:46. | :09:56.
120 firefighters are tackling a large fire at a scrap metal yard in | :09:57. | :10:00.
Dagenham. The fire started just after three o'clock this afternoon | :10:01. | :10:02.
and around 1,500 tonnes of scrap metal is alight. Smoke can be seen | :10:03. | :10:06.
as far away as the Woolwich Ferry Terminal. At this stage the cause of | :10:07. | :10:09.
the fire is unknown. Hundreds of London Underground | :10:10. | :10:12.
maintenance workers are to be balloted for strike action after a | :10:13. | :10:15.
complete breakdown in industrial relations. Members of the RMT union | :10:16. | :10:18.
will vote in the coming weeks, raising the threat of industrial | :10:19. | :10:22.
action on the Tube in the run up to Christmas. London Underground says | :10:23. | :10:27.
discussions are ongoing. A new test for Downs' Syndrome could | :10:28. | :10:31.
be offered to pregnant women by the NHS. Great Ormond Street Hospital is | :10:32. | :10:35.
trialling the noninvasive procedure which can predict with 99% accuracy | :10:36. | :10:40.
whether a baby has Down's. It's currently only available in private | :10:41. | :10:48.
hospitals. Sarah Harris reports A team of scientists at Great Ormond | :10:49. | :10:52.
Street Hospital have been working on a way of diagnosing Down's Syndrome | :10:53. | :10:56.
from the blood of a pregnant woman. It is a much more reliable test than | :10:57. | :11:01.
a scan, with 99% accuracy, and does not have the same risk as more | :11:02. | :11:06.
invasive procedures. Because you are putting a needle into the womb, it | :11:07. | :11:10.
results in the small risk of a miscarriage. This test can you do | :11:11. | :11:15.
with a blood test. We know there is foetal VNA circulating in the | :11:16. | :11:19.
mother's blood and we use all of the DNA in the blood to do the test. All | :11:20. | :11:25.
pregnant women are offered a 12 week scan, vital in predicting spina | :11:26. | :11:28.
bifida and other problems with vital organs. But not as reliable as the | :11:29. | :11:32.
new test for the chromosome disorder Down's Syndrome. Stan was born 11 | :11:33. | :11:36.
Down's Syndrome. Stan was born 1 years ago, and his dad says he has | :11:37. | :11:41.
been a joyful addition to their family. But he still welcomes this | :11:42. | :11:45.
development in giving parents to be more choice and time to prepare. Any | :11:46. | :11:51.
more choice and time to prepare Any test is a contribution to what is | :11:52. | :11:58.
going to happen, and any help is great, but it is any one side of the | :11:59. | :12:02.
equation. What is needed is the access to the great amount of | :12:03. | :12:05.
information about what it is like to have a child with Down's Syndrome, | :12:06. | :12:08.
and there is no excuse the people not to have access to that kind of | :12:09. | :12:15.
information. Scientists are keen to give parents to be as much of this | :12:16. | :12:18.
information as possible, as the trial for the new test begins in | :12:19. | :12:23.
London hospitals. It is hoped within five years, it will be available to | :12:24. | :12:26.
a large number of pregnant women on the NHS. | :12:27. | :12:34.
Let's turn to the developing story this evening, and the family of a | :12:35. | :12:37.
shopkeeper shot in a bungled robbery in east London are tonight praying | :12:38. | :12:42.
he pulls through. The man, who is 53, is in a critical condition after | :12:43. | :12:47.
being shot in the chest at close range. His colleague, in his 40s, | :12:48. | :12:52.
who was also shot, remains in a stable condition. It is believed the | :12:53. | :12:57.
men chased the robbers out of the shop on Plaistow high Street last | :12:58. | :13:00.
night. This report is just in from our home affairs correspondent. | :13:01. | :13:12.
Sorry, we seem to have some problems with that report, we will try and | :13:13. | :13:24.
bring it later. Also coming up: | :13:25. | :13:32.
two of the most exciting players in the Premier League go head`to`head | :13:33. | :13:33.
this weekend. And artwork of a different type The | :13:34. | :13:43.
character pieces created by machines of yesteryear. | :13:44. | :13:51.
The actress Joanna Lumley has unveiled her vision for an ambitious | :13:52. | :13:56.
new bridge, linking the South Bank with Temple Station. But, as Helen | :13:57. | :14:00.
Drew reports, unlike other crossings in the capital, the so`called | :14:01. | :14:03.
"garden bridge" isn't just a means of crossing the the river. This is | :14:04. | :14:13.
how a new bridge across the River Thames could look, if it is given | :14:14. | :14:20.
the go`ahead. In 1998, I had this dream, this idea of a floating, a | :14:21. | :14:25.
garden, floating through the air, across the Thames. Once that idea | :14:26. | :14:29.
came into my head, I became obsessed by it. It would go between Waterloo | :14:30. | :14:35.
and Blackfriars, and it would link the Southbank with Temple. It would | :14:36. | :14:40.
be a crossing as well as a garden. Some people would just use it | :14:41. | :14:44.
because it is a practical bridge, and because they are late for work. | :14:45. | :14:48.
Oh, that is coming into blossom. Oh, that is coming into blossom. | :14:49. | :14:52.
Other people will come and stand and go, isn't this incredible? Stand | :14:53. | :14:57.
there, you look great, I will take a picture. It is the countryside in | :14:58. | :15:03.
the city. Thrilling. It is being designed by The Man Behind The | :15:04. | :15:08.
Racquet 12 Olympic cauldron. Our job is to design a garden and get out of | :15:09. | :15:13.
the way. Many bridges have big columns and cables, but the hero of | :15:14. | :15:16.
this one must be the garden, more than the bridge. It would be the | :15:17. | :15:21.
answer to the high line in New York. If it is a bit more attractive | :15:22. | :15:29.
than London Bridge or this one, definitely. I suppose it would be | :15:30. | :15:35.
nicer to cross something like that. Transport for London is on board | :15:36. | :15:40.
with the plans and has committed ?4 million, but the total cost of the | :15:41. | :15:44.
bridge will be around ?150 million. The aim is to raise the cash from | :15:45. | :15:49.
largely private investors. The star of this show is the garden, and the | :15:50. | :15:53.
Crown on whose head it sits is London. It public saltation runs | :15:54. | :16:02.
from today until December 20. `` a public consultation. Time for the | :16:03. | :16:10.
sport. We start with a tasty little clash at the emirates tomorrow, as | :16:11. | :16:14.
Arsenal host Liverpool. Two of the most exciting players in England, | :16:15. | :16:19.
Mesut Ozil and Luis Suarez, will be taking to the pitch. Chris Slegg | :16:20. | :16:29.
reports. Luis Suarez, hugely controversial and hugely talented. | :16:30. | :16:35.
He was Arsenal's main summer transfer target. Liverpool laughed | :16:36. | :16:43.
off their ?40 million bid. So, Arsenal bought this man, a different | :16:44. | :16:47.
type of player, different type of character. The form of Mesut Ozil | :16:48. | :16:51.
and his team`mates means Arsenal Wenger has been facing mainly | :16:52. | :16:58.
positive questions from the media, not a situation which has been | :16:59. | :17:03.
afforded to Luis Suarez's managers in the past. His first ban came when | :17:04. | :17:09.
he was playing in Holland. Then in 2011, was found guilty of using | :17:10. | :17:16.
racist language with Patrice Evra. And he has just returned from ten | :17:17. | :17:21.
games out for biting Branislav Ivanovic. Wenger was asked, should | :17:22. | :17:26.
Arsenal even have tried to sign a player with such a temperament? We | :17:27. | :17:32.
try to take into account different aspects of the players, and when | :17:33. | :17:36.
there is any restriction about it, we do not buy the players. The | :17:37. | :17:41.
pursuit of Suarez became public in the summer, and you ended up with | :17:42. | :17:45.
Mesut Ozil, so do you feel things worked out better for you as a | :17:46. | :17:50.
club? I am very happy with what I did. Mesut Ozil's performances have | :17:51. | :17:55.
made many people happy, but Arsenal have been warned, tomorrow, they | :17:56. | :18:00.
will be facing a Luis Suarez who is better than ever. His goals and his | :18:01. | :18:05.
workrate are the same, but I have seen an improvement in his foot | :18:06. | :18:09.
bawling ability and his maturity this year, which bodes well for us. | :18:10. | :18:14.
We will not get carried away. With Mesut Ozil having signed until 2018, | :18:15. | :18:16.
Mesut Ozil having signed until 018, Arsenal hope tomorrow is all about | :18:17. | :18:20.
the one that has come to stay, rather than the one that got away. | :18:21. | :18:29.
Arsenal against Liverpool kicks off at 5.30 tomorrow. Down in south | :18:30. | :18:34.
London, Fulham will host Manchester United at three o'clock. The new | :18:35. | :18:39.
Fulham owner, Shahid Khan, has just completed a visit to Craven Cottage, | :18:40. | :18:43.
spoken about his plans for the ground and ambitions for the club, | :18:44. | :18:47.
as well as explaining his relationship with manager Martin | :18:48. | :18:50.
Jol, as Fulham currently sit 14th in the table. One thing I have learned, | :18:51. | :18:56.
it is not the right thing to be impetuous. As times are getting | :18:57. | :19:03.
hard, I do not think the solution is to be doing something rash. I have | :19:04. | :19:11.
an open line with Martin, and the relationship has to be steady when | :19:12. | :19:16.
times are good, times are bad. You can see that full interview on | :19:17. | :19:19.
Football Focus tomorrow on BBC One from mid`day. The world's leading | :19:20. | :19:25.
track cyclists are in Manchester for the start of the Track World Cup. | :19:26. | :19:28.
Already, Great Britain's women have clocked up a world record in the | :19:29. | :19:34.
team pursuit qualifier. Laura Trott and Joanna Roswell, as well as Dani | :19:35. | :19:41.
King, qualified in four`minute NT 3.910 seconds, and they will meet | :19:42. | :19:46.
Canada in the final tonight. `` four minutes 23.910. Tomorrow, 80,000 | :19:47. | :19:50.
minutes 23.910. Tomorrow, 80,00 rugby fans will be making their way | :19:51. | :19:55.
to Twickenham for England's first QBE rugby international against | :19:56. | :19:59.
Australia. Joel Tomkins will be making his England debut, just one | :20:00. | :20:04.
of nine players from London clubs in the starting XV. He made his name | :20:05. | :20:10.
playing rugby for Wigan. Joel Tomkins was capped playing rugby | :20:11. | :20:16.
league before switching codes. He now plays for Saracens. This time he | :20:17. | :20:22.
will be appearing for his country in rugby union. He has got that | :20:23. | :20:25.
experience of playing in big things in the belief already. He has got | :20:26. | :20:29.
the temperament to play in the big James. He is a big physical | :20:30. | :20:34.
presence, he has got a lot of components. This is a great | :20:35. | :20:40.
opportunity. . And rugby runs in his family as well. His younger brother | :20:41. | :20:46.
Sam is widely regarded as the current superstar of the rugby | :20:47. | :20:51.
league scene in England. But Joel Tomkins is happy with his switch to | :20:52. | :20:57.
rugby union. Playing in games like this are one of the reasons why I | :20:58. | :21:01.
came into rugby union, playing in front of 80,000 people at | :21:02. | :21:05.
Twickenham. It is something I am looking forward to on Saturday. The | :21:06. | :21:11.
England's starting XV boasts nine players from London clubs. Saracens | :21:12. | :21:16.
are supplying the most. Chris Robshaw continues as captain. The | :21:17. | :21:22.
autumn international series will see in Glen facing both Argentina and | :21:23. | :21:26.
New Zealand. But it all starts with Australia tomorrow. Our home affairs | :21:27. | :21:56.
correspondent Guy Smith has the latest. Gathering photographic | :21:57. | :22:02.
evidence at the door to this small supermarket. Late last night, to | :22:03. | :22:08.
shop workers were both shot outside on the street. At this stage, police | :22:09. | :22:12.
believe they are the victims of an attempted robbery. This man, who | :22:13. | :22:17.
lives nearby, told us what he heard. I heard some gunshots, and then | :22:18. | :22:26.
later, after ten minutes, I saw police cars. I saw the shopkeeper, | :22:27. | :22:32.
he was on the floor, bleeding. He was bleeding from there. From his | :22:33. | :22:40.
stomach? Yes. Then there was a paramedic team, and I think they | :22:41. | :22:44.
took him to hospital. One man in his 50s in is in a critical condition. | :22:45. | :22:51.
Another man, it in his 40s, is said to be stable. I have known them for | :22:52. | :22:55.
more than ten years, especially the owner of the shop. A very nice guy, | :22:56. | :23:04.
very gentle, very generous. Sometimes I would do some shopping | :23:05. | :23:11.
with him, and if I did not have the money, he would say, no problem. | :23:12. | :23:13.
with him, and if I did not have the money, he would say, no problem | :23:14. | :23:15.
Police are appealing for help in catching whoever did this. So far, | :23:16. | :23:19.
no description has been given, no arrests have been made. Guy Smith | :23:20. | :23:25.
reporting. Police have told BBC London that two men have now been | :23:26. | :23:29.
arrested. We will have the latest at ten o'clock. In a world of computers | :23:30. | :23:35.
and smartphones, the humble typewriter seems to be long | :23:36. | :23:38.
forgotten, but one woman has found a use for the original QWERTY | :23:39. | :23:44.
keyboard. Keira Rathbone uses the letters, numbers and symbols to | :23:45. | :23:49.
create art, from tiny East Dyk figures to multi`page montages. | :23:50. | :23:52.
Wendy Hurrell has been taking a look. The nostalgic sound of | :23:53. | :24:09.
communication... I just started pressing the same keys, and looking | :24:10. | :24:16.
at Marks, to make something visual. Keira Rathbone started doing this | :24:17. | :24:20.
ten years ago, on her archaic machine. Slowly it became my art | :24:21. | :24:33.
form, and slowly trying to contextualise it at uni, I | :24:34. | :24:39.
discovered that nobody was doing it. Small figures she was able to sketch | :24:40. | :24:45.
in just a few seconds. That skirt has got a jazzy pattern on it, and | :24:46. | :24:50.
good shoes. If they move, you just get, like, the arm. They do not get | :24:51. | :24:56.
a head. But for this extraordinary picture of Hammersmith Bridge, she | :24:57. | :24:59.
sat in front of it for two or three hours at a time, and it took at | :25:00. | :25:01.
least ten sessions to finish it. least ten sessions to finish it. | :25:02. | :25:05.
There are some rewards for such dedication. People come along and | :25:06. | :25:11.
they have never seen a typewriter before, kids, so they are like, what | :25:12. | :25:18.
is that? In her collection, she now has about 35 typewriters. This one, | :25:19. | :25:26.
you can put Athree paper in it. I got it at a boot sale, it cost me | :25:27. | :25:32.
about ?2. This one came from a man in Croatia. It has got all of the | :25:33. | :25:38.
accents. The final typewriter was made in this country last year. But | :25:39. | :25:43.
for this artist, there is no better way to communicate her creativity. | :25:44. | :25:52.
No pressure, Peter, it has got to be good for sports fans as well as for | :25:53. | :25:56.
firework parties. Remember, it is wet in November. | :25:57. | :25:57.
good for sports fans as well as for firework parties. Remember, it is I | :25:58. | :25:59.
think there will be a lot of amp bonfires this weekend. We will have | :26:00. | :26:08.
some strong winds. `` a lot of damp bonfires. If you are heading out for | :26:09. | :26:16.
a walk, it will be blustery, but at least there will be some bright | :26:17. | :26:20.
weather around. There is a little bit of drizzly rain out there at the | :26:21. | :26:24.
moment. Overnight tonight, we will get some wet weather, mainly to the | :26:25. | :26:28.
south`east of the capital. It will not be a particularly chilly night. | :26:29. | :26:40.
Things will be brightening up, and by the afternoon, there will be a | :26:41. | :26:45.
breeze blowing, and some showers, with temperatures getting up to | :26:46. | :26:50.
14`15. You will notice that wind gets really strong tomorrow evening. | :26:51. | :26:55.
That is worth bearing in mind for fireworks displays. There will be | :26:56. | :27:00.
some showers tomorrow evening as well. By Sunday morning, the showers | :27:01. | :27:07.
will have disappeared, and it will have turned quite cold, although not | :27:08. | :27:12.
cold enough for a frosty yet. Sunday, another bright and breezy | :27:13. | :27:18.
afternoon. And then, Sunday night yet more weather heading our way, | :27:19. | :27:24.
and it looks as though the worst of it will be further south. I will | :27:25. | :27:28.
keep an eye on that for you. Moving into next week, Monday will be | :27:29. | :27:35.
clear, and then after that, we can expect some frosts. That is we will | :27:36. | :27:41.
be back later, during the tenor clock news. Have a good evening. `` | :27:42. | :27:47.
clock news. Have a good evening `` Ten O'Clock News. | :27:48. | :27:49. |
