Good evening. The Government is being urged to do

more to prevent teenagers killing themselves after viewing online

self`harm sites. A coroner's report into the death of 15`year`old

Tallulah Wilson from West Hampstead, who took her own life, says more

vulnerable youngsters could die unless there's a better

understanding of the way they use the internet.

Katharine Carpenter has the story. It takes just seconds to enter an

online world of people who self harm. Much of the content is far too

graphic for us to show, but it was this world which Tallulah Wilson was

drawn into. Billy Gatra School and suffering from depression, she

sought friendship on the internet and posted self harm images on the

blogging site, tumbler. Her mother described it as toxic. Shortly

after, she shot down `` shot down the teenager's account, and then the

15`year`old took her life. This man says there are many reasons people

turn to the internet. If I see that someone is feeling hopeless and they

had self harmed as a way to cope with that, that might have

legitimised me in self`harming. At the end of the inquest into Tyler's

death, the coroner said she feared there would be others deaths linked

to the use of self harm site. A week later, a teenager took a drugs

overdose. She too had depression and blogged on similar sites. The

coroner has written a report, demanding the department takes

action. It says... She calls for new research, improved

clinical practice, and training The government has until the end of

March to respond and detail what action it plans to take. Both the

Health Secretary under Secretary of State for culture, media and sport

declined the report for interview. The government said it takes the

issue of child internet safety very seriously. What protection does

tumblr put in place? It puts the onus on bloggers, which says they

should not glorify self harm. It said posts which crossed the line

should be removed. During our research, we found 200 disturbing

posts on tumblr, as well as other sites. I think the images do clearly

time to look at the messages, I was shocked. Tumblr said does a

statement saying... Seven recovery centres have been set

and support services. Critics say at present, the law deters websites are

leaflets to residents about cleaning facilities available. In Chertsey,

the clean`up is a long way off. The water keeps on coming. This is

never`ending. It has been going on for the last six or seven weeks You
