Good evening, welcome to BBC London News. A sister's hope to save her

brother's life has been blocked by the Home Office. Keisha Rushton

planned to travel from Jamahca to London to give Oliver Cameron her

kidney. She had been told she cannot be trusted to return home. She has

been refused a visa. A happx moment for Oliver and his grandson. It is

also a tense time in the falily home. Oliver is in desperatd need of

a new kidney. The tests camd back showing that the kidneys have

failed. What the doctor said to me on the night is that I would need an

operation. I would need a transplant. His sister provdd to be

a perfect match for the transplant and was willing to donate one of her

kidneys. It seemed straightforward. Unlike her brother she is not a

British citizen. She lives hn Jamaica and was refused entry to

Britain on the grounds she light not return home after the operation

Disappointed is not even a word to use. It is an opportunity for me to

go back out there and get b`ck out there into the working world. With

seven children, a sick mothdr and fiance back in Jamaica, his sister

says she has no desire to stay in the UK. I love my brother. H have

made this decision for him to have life. This is a very excepthonal

case. A man's life may depend on it. We cannot let the harsh clilate on

immigration let us make harsh decisions. The Home Office looks at

allish shoes. It said his shster's visa was denied because she could

not give enough evidence to prove she would return home to Jalaica

after her stay. Before his hllness Oliver was a plumber. He has been

unable to work for the past two years. He undergoes dialysis three

times a day at home. The trdatment is taking its toll. There are days I

feel I just want to give up. I just don't want to bother. He faces a

three`year wait on the NHS waiting list. He has hopes that the

authorities could speed up the process by giving his sister a visa.

My hands. I have blisters all over it.

But blisters were the least of this pair's worries. They fell ott of

their boat 300 metres beford the end. The rules say you must finish

with your canoe, so they had to swim.

Go guys! Only 80% of those who start finish

this race. It was doubly re`ssuring when one particular canoe c`me in.
