Coventry teenagers who have travelled to Syria to fight with

ISIS. Now it is time for thd news where you are.

Bhandhukarvi. There were violent scenes at a

family picnic in North London this weekend after around 20 far right

extremists stormed the event It is thought the gang may have

connections to the fascist hooligan organisation in Poland. This

evening, a vigil was held in Tottenham against the extrelisms.

It was supposed to be a peace concerto mark World Music D`y. A

gang of youths threw bottles, a target, an audience as diverse and

multi`cultural as Tottenham itself. There were children at this event,

babies, mothers. This was a completely brazen, audacious attack,

in broad daylight in front of hundreds of people. Presumably they

went to that music concert knowing there would be a multi``ure`l

community here. It been held here for several years and there have

never been a problem before. The police are overwhelmed. A lone

officer tries to make an arrest with only himself and his b`ton to

hold off an angry crowd. Re`enforcements do eventually

arrive, but the attackers are gone. Police say there were around 20

mainly Eastern Europe peen len, who launched the attack. Only one man

has been charged. Who are they? We don't know if this was the lan who

was charged with assault, btt the answer lies in the slogan on his

T`shirt. It is the name of ` Polish right wing extremist group. Their

members are made up of mainly football hooligans. Racist graffiti

popping up. Their name and logo This group have been holding fascist

rallies here in the park. They have had 150`200 people in that `rea

That explains all the graffhti. They turn up with flags and flards and

you know, microphones and they have these rallies. Racism among football

hooligans has long been a problem in Poland. It appears with migration,

right wing extremism is crossing borders into London. There hs a

connection with the hooligans in Poland who are fighting othdr teams,

other football fans in stadhums I think the problem is that the Polish

Government and the Polish police are not doing enough to curb th`t kind

of behaviour. What those people coming over here will probably find

out is that the police will take a hard stand like they did in the '60s

and '70s. We want to thank dveryone who stood up to help eject the

fascists. Even fellow countrymen can be targeted. A Polish organhsers of

the concert was sdabed. Polhce are looking `` was stabbed. Polhce are

looking for his attacker. What I have learnt here today, in

Tottenham, is that this comlunity is becoming increasingly intimhdated by

right`wing extremismism that is crossing borders and `` extremism

that is crossing borders and settling on London's streets.

Vulnerable children and young people with mental health problems in the

capital are not getting enotgh support. It is calling for ` Royal

Commission. Gareth Furby can tell us more. What

does the report say? Well, the report considers evidence from some

20 London children who are leant to be cared for by social servhce

departments, but because it is said those departments were in crisis,

children ended up slipping through the safety net. Consider just two

examples ` a six`year`old boy, left with his mother, who was addicted to

crack cocaine and he ended tp relying on a neighbour for food and

shelter and a teenage girl left with her father who introduced hdr to men

who sexually abused her. What are the authors calling for?

Well, the suggestion is that some departments are at breaking point,

with case loads that are dangerously high. The authors are not s`ying

that more money is the solution Instead, what they are callhng for

is a Royal Commission to ex`mine the whole role of social servicds. When

The Fire Brigades Union has defended its strike over The Weekend,

following the death of a man who was trapped in a burning house hn Welwyn

Garden City. The chief officer said it took longer to reach the scene

because crews 500 yards awax were on strike. Members were shocked and

saddened by the man's death. The number of people on Housing Benefit,

evicted by private landlords has tripled in London over the past five

years. It is believed the ctts to welfare payments and rising rents

are to blame. Charities say the short yoij of social housing is the

biggest cause of homelessness in the capital. The Government says it has

put aside ?1 billion to help struggling families. London

Underground has simplified the process for customers seeking a

refund if their train is late. Passengers can enter the details of

their delayed train online, without providing all their personal and

Oyster card details. Refunds will be given for Tube and DLR trains which

are more than 15 minutes late. That is if it was out of their control.
