Good evening. Two women and two children have escaped injury in a

gun attack at their home in West Belfast. A shot was fired through

their living room window. The women, who are originally from the

Philippines, work in local hospitals. Kevin Sharkey reports. A

shot was fired through the double glazed window, hitting the back

wall. One of the women was working during the night, the others were

slipping. They heard a bang but thought it was fireworks. This

morning, this six year-old girl found broken glass on the floor and

the police found a bullet. The family is distressed. It might be a

racist attack, I cannot explain. I am in a state of shock because I

cannot really stop thinking about it. Do we stay here? I am paying

for the mortgage. A local man also stays at the address and police say

they are examining several lines of inquiry. The SDLP leader, Alasdair

McDonnell, says that the party's only Executive minister will be

changed next year. As part of the plan to rotate the post every 18

months, the current Environment Minister, Alex Attwood, will be

replaced. Natasha Sayee reports. It is two months since Alasdair

McDonnell took over the reins of the SDLP and this announcement in

today's Irish News represents his boldest move. The party has only

one seat in the Executive, the Environment Minister. Alex Attwood

holds the title but the plan is to rotate the job every 18 months.

Why? We have one ministry and a chairman ship and a vice

chairmanship and people say that they want their cake shared out.

And I am intending to share it and I plainly see at the beginning of

the New Year that I will be sharing out the cake and there is no

implications in that, positive or negative. It's the first time the

SDLP will have tried a mid-term reshuffle so who are the

environment ministers of the future? Mr McDonnell would not tell

us. Mid Ulster's Patsy McGlone is tipped for promotion, as is Newry

and Armagh MLA Dominic Bradley. It could also go to Dolores Kelly to

raise your profile in Upper Bann. We will definitely no in the summer

of 2013, when the new minister is set to step in. A 29-year-old man

has appeared in court accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm

during an attack in North Belfast. Jonathon Rossborough of Armoy

Gardens in Newtownabbey faces charges connected to an assault on

a man at Alliance Parade early on Sunday morning. The victim, a man

in his 20s, suffered serious head injuries and is still in hospital.

The man who died in an accident in County Antrim on New Year's Eve was

51 year-old Eamonn Hassan. He was trapped under a vehicle at his home

After a cold day and with wintry showers and places, we have the

prospect of wet, windy weather developing through the course of

tonight and into tomorrow. Before that, you'll find today's wintry

showers eased to give us some drier weather through the evening and the

windows still gusty and they will pick up through the night. Not

before the rain arrives, some very wet weather, persistent spells for

a few hours tonight before clearing away and turning showery. At the

end of the night, temperatures can drop to three degrees, low enough
