The story dominating the news tonight: The deaths of a father and | :00:18. | :00:23.
his two sons. A tragedy that has devastated a family and hit the | :00:23. | :00:27.
farming and rugby communities. I am in Ballynahinch where I've | :00:27. | :00:36.
been getting the reaction of friends of the Spence family. | :00:36. | :00:40.
Three members of the one family killed in a tragic accident - the | :00:40. | :00:44.
impact on that one family is unimaginable. The deaths of farmer | :00:44. | :00:47.
Noel Spence and his sons Graham and Nevin have also impacted across not | :00:47. | :00:53.
only the farming community here but also the sporting community. Nevin, | :00:53. | :00:57.
a rising star of Ulster and Irish rugby, died along with his father | :00:57. | :01:00.
and brother after being overcome by fumes at a slurry pit on the family | :01:00. | :01:07.
farm in Hillsborough. His sister Emma was also involved in the | :01:07. | :01:17.
:01:17. | :01:17. | ||
accident but was released from hospital last night. | :01:17. | :01:23.
Three strong, healthy men. Killed in minutes at the place they called | :01:23. | :01:28.
home. Father Noel Spence and his sons, Graham and Nevin. They had | :01:28. | :01:33.
been spreading slurry all day. One line of inquiry was that a dog had | :01:33. | :01:37.
gone into the slurry pit and perhaps they had gone in after it. | :01:37. | :01:42.
Their sister Emma was also there. What happened next was devastating. | :01:42. | :01:48.
At around 6:15pm, the three men were overcome by fumes and died. | :01:48. | :01:53.
Emma has survived. She is an artist and last December, the BBC | :01:53. | :01:57.
interviewed her on the farm. She had been working on a series of | :01:57. | :02:04.
paintings featuring Ulster rugby players. We are all successful in | :02:04. | :02:10.
my mum and dad's eyes. Nevin is in front of the camera a lot so it is | :02:10. | :02:16.
a different form of doing your best. I remember his first match, he was | :02:16. | :02:25.
playing a friendly and I thought to myself, at least he has got to | :02:25. | :02:31.
where the Ulster shirt. Also there that day was Nevin he said he was | :02:31. | :02:35.
very proud of his sister. I was pleasantly surprised, I wouldn't | :02:35. | :02:42.
like to say I was delighted but it was very good. He said he loved his | :02:42. | :02:47.
rugby. You are doing what you want to do and it keeps you out of a | :02:47. | :02:51.
real job for a while. I am delighted to be doing something | :02:51. | :02:57.
that a lot of people would love to do. At his local rugby club, and | :02:57. | :03:01.
hence, their flag was at half-mast. Prayers have been said at the | :03:01. | :03:09.
family's church. They were all very alike, all very decent. Very calm, | :03:09. | :03:15.
gentle people. Hard-working, honest with a deep sense of family | :03:15. | :03:20.
loyalties. Noel Spence and his four children all went to Dromore High | :03:20. | :03:24.
School. The Prince of what they're just sock Nevin a few hours before | :03:25. | :03:30.
the tragedy at a Dromore match. was walking past me and in his own | :03:30. | :03:34.
style, he slapped me on the shoulder and said, where were you? | :03:34. | :03:40.
I said, I have been standing here all this time, and as he walked on, | :03:40. | :03:44.
he said, I will see you again soon. I can remember his blond hair in | :03:44. | :03:49.
the wind and the big broad smile that he always wore. That is my | :03:49. | :03:54.
last memory of him. Abaca condolence was opened at Ravenhill. | :03:54. | :04:00.
Fans, friends and the former First Minister Ian Paisley all came to | :04:00. | :04:09.
pay their respects. It really did shake me. But having known the | :04:09. | :04:16.
family and knowing their profession of faith in Jesus Christ, that was | :04:16. | :04:22.
like the blowing of a hard wind that blew away the dark clouds. | :04:22. | :04:27.
family have received some of these from right across the Community. | :04:27. | :04:30.
When the publicity is over, when that the story goes off the | :04:30. | :04:38.
headlines and, Mrs Spence and Graham's wife and the children and | :04:38. | :04:43.
their families, they will have to do with this terrible loss. | :04:43. | :04:46.
investigations continue, one of the key witnesses will of course be a | :04:46. | :04:50.
match. But for now at least, she is home with her loved ones. Her | :04:50. | :04:55.
husband, her sister and their mother at this deeply distressing | :04:55. | :04:59.
time. The family's connection with sport, | :04:59. | :05:01.
especially rugby, has been well- documented since the accident | :05:01. | :05:11.
:05:11. | :05:12. | ||
happened. Stephen is live for us in Ballynahinch this evening. | :05:12. | :05:15.
The flight is at half mast this evening at Ballynahinch Cricket | :05:15. | :05:21.
Club, which is right in the heart of the local community. It was on | :05:21. | :05:23.
this pitch where Noel Spence would have watched his two sons play | :05:23. | :05:29.
rugger. The overall feeling here this evening is one of shock and | :05:29. | :05:33.
disbelief. The club will become a focal point for people this evening | :05:33. | :05:37.
who have already started to arrive to sign a book of condolence. The | :05:37. | :05:40.
feeling is identical at Ulster rugby headquarters at Ravenhill | :05:40. | :05:44.
where I was today, where hundreds wanted to turn up and talk and | :05:44. | :05:48.
share memories and pay their respects in particular to Nevin | :05:48. | :05:56.
Spence he is of course a rising star of Ulster and Irish rugby. | :05:56. | :06:01.
They had cheered him, now they mourn him. Beside the pitch at | :06:01. | :06:05.
Ravenhill where Nevin Spence showcased his skills, a steady flow | :06:05. | :06:09.
of people arrived throughout the day. All came to honour a family | :06:09. | :06:13.
and a talent that will never have the chance to realise its full | :06:13. | :06:19.
potential. I feel really for the mother because Nevin Spence was a | :06:19. | :06:25.
fantastic player. Ulster rugby will go on but we will remember him. | :06:25. | :06:30.
have had messages of support from all clubs, even from gaelic | :06:30. | :06:34.
football clubs, hockey clubs and football clubs, people wanting to | :06:34. | :06:40.
know how they can help. It has overtaken us all. It has really | :06:40. | :06:46.
shocked us. We are focusing on trying to give people an outlet for | :06:46. | :06:52.
their grief. People have to deal with that in their own ways. He was | :06:52. | :07:02.
:07:02. | :07:03. | ||
one of the most exciting prospects in Irish rugby. What a score by the | :07:03. | :07:09.
youngster! Can you believe it? the age of 22, Nevin had played | :07:09. | :07:13.
over 40 times for Ulster, represented the Irish a team and | :07:13. | :07:17.
trained with Ireland's Six Nations squad. Perhaps the defining image | :07:17. | :07:23.
of him on a rugby pitch is in this for two seasons ago. Driven and | :07:23. | :07:28.
committed, it is a moment that sums up the man, according to Ulster's | :07:28. | :07:32.
director of rugby, David Humphreys. Landing on his head, Jimmy, that | :07:32. | :07:42.
:07:42. | :07:43. | ||
some at him up. Landing that way, it was all about the team. All of | :07:43. | :07:47.
us are struggling to come to terms with what has happened. Some of the | :07:48. | :07:52.
Ulster players pay their respects this afternoon. Whatever the squad | :07:52. | :07:56.
achieves this season or in the seasons to come, it will be done in | :07:56. | :08:06.
:08:06. | :08:09. | ||
Nevin Spence's name. Joining me now are two men who know | :08:09. | :08:14.
the family well. The chairman of on the hinge and Ryan Constable. I | :08:14. | :08:17.
know you have been to see the family today, how are they? They | :08:17. | :08:21.
are coping as best they can. Obviously they are a family with | :08:21. | :08:26.
huge character, dealing with tragic circumstances. They are seeking | :08:26. | :08:32.
solace in their faith and growing a huge amount of strength from the | :08:32. | :08:35.
support being shown from the farming community and the rugby | :08:35. | :08:39.
community and the church. From speaking to some of the Ulster | :08:39. | :08:42.
players and staff today, in a strange way they feel guilty that a | :08:43. | :08:47.
lot of the focus is on Nevin Spence and Ulster rugby and this should be | :08:47. | :08:52.
treated as a real community and family tragedy? It has been felt | :08:52. | :08:55.
across the whole community and obviously come tragic for the whole | :08:55. | :09:00.
family. The players know Nevin well and that is where the focus is for | :09:00. | :09:04.
them, but we cannot forget the lives that have been impacted from | :09:04. | :09:08.
this end and that has been shared across the whole community. We saw | :09:08. | :09:12.
you at Ravenhill today but here in Ballynahinch which is very much a | :09:12. | :09:17.
community club, what has the club in doing to help the family? | :09:17. | :09:22.
Firstly, we want to pass our respects to a family. They are very | :09:22. | :09:27.
well respected in this area, inextricably linked to farming and | :09:27. | :09:30.
rugby and to the Baptist church. Many of our members are in the same | :09:30. | :09:37.
position. We hope to provide some practical help and we will have | :09:37. | :09:41.
farming members and the neighbours are doing that at the minute and | :09:41. | :09:45.
they are there to be thanked for that but we hope in the future that | :09:45. | :09:52.
we can provide support their two. know that Ulster's match this | :09:52. | :09:55.
Friday has been postponed but a memorial service will take place on | :09:55. | :10:03.
Sunday at Ravenhill? Yes, 3pm on Sunday, they are planning a | :10:03. | :10:07.
memorial service. He had a huge amount of supporters within the | :10:07. | :10:15.
whole community. Anybody can come and pay their respects. Nevin | :10:15. | :10:19.
Spence was a very talented sportsman, not just a highly | :10:19. | :10:25.
regarded rugby player, he formerly played for Glentoran youth team. | :10:25. | :10:30.
Just to show that this is not just being felt by the rugby community | :10:30. | :10:34.
and the entire sporting community in general, there was a one-minute | :10:34. | :10:37.
silence yesterday at the All Ireland come off the final. I was | :10:38. | :10:42.
at her road racing event and All Our local cyclists approached me | :10:43. | :10:46.
and said they wanted to pass on their best wishes to the family and | :10:46. | :10:51.
their thoughts were with them. They expressed their shock and disbelief | :10:51. | :10:55.
and the reaction on the social media really has been a truly | :10:55. | :11:02.
global. Messages from the likes of Dan Carter, a famous using under he | :11:02. | :11:07.
says, such sad news. Brian O'Driscoll said, what a talented | :11:07. | :11:13.
player, Nevin Spence was, tipped in the future to take the number 13 | :11:13. | :11:19.
shirt in the Irish team. I know that the IRFU have also opened a | :11:19. | :11:25.
book of condolence in Dublin at their headquarters as well and they | :11:25. | :11:28.
have delayed the announcement of the international team. Also, | :11:28. | :11:34.
messages on Twitter from Shane Williams he said, a tragic loss, | :11:34. | :11:40.
Nevin Spence was a class act on the field. From Rory McIlory, an Ulster | :11:40. | :11:44.
rugby supporter as well as the No. 1 golfer in the world, he said it | :11:44. | :11:48.
makes you cherish every day you have on this earth. I think that is | :11:48. | :11:53.
how everyone here in the community fines this evening. Summed up by | :11:53. | :11:57.
the picture they have put up in the clubhouse to know all, Nevin and | :11:57. | :12:02.
Graham, to say that thoughts and prayers are with a family at this | :12:02. | :12:05.
sad time. Over the past 20 months, 23 people | :12:05. | :12:09.
have been killed in agricultural accidents here. Farmers are well | :12:09. | :12:11.
aware of the risks involved in using slurry but this weekend's | :12:11. | :12:20.
tragedy has focused minds on the dangers. | :12:20. | :12:26.
A common sight at this time of year. Under European law, farmers have | :12:26. | :12:31.
until the 1st October to spread slurry. The mixture is a cost- | :12:31. | :12:36.
effective fertiliser. All Derry farms will have slurry tanks. The | :12:36. | :12:41.
manure from cars falls through the floors into a pool where it is | :12:41. | :12:44.
stored until ready for spreading. It needs to be broken down before | :12:45. | :12:49.
it is ready for the fields. The mixing is the most dangerous part | :12:49. | :12:54.
of the entire process. That is because the machinery goes down and | :12:54. | :12:59.
churns up all that waste, making it ready for pumping but in doing so, | :12:59. | :13:05.
it releases a cocktail of potentially lethal gases. One of | :13:05. | :13:13.
these is hydrogen sulphide. Farmers Colleter the silent killer. Its | :13:13. | :13:18.
concentration, at low levels, it can irritate the eyes and throat. | :13:18. | :13:23.
At 10 times the concentration, it can cause headaches and dizziness. | :13:23. | :13:27.
At 500 parts, it needs to disorientation and collapse. At | :13:27. | :13:34.
levels over 700, it can stop breathing, leading to rapid death. | :13:34. | :13:41.
When you are mixing at the start of the Nixon operation, you will get | :13:41. | :13:47.
this sudden lift if there is not sufficient ventilation, you will | :13:47. | :13:53.
get a man of concentration to within the house and really, the | :13:53. | :13:57.
operators are completely unaware of this happening until they are | :13:57. | :14:02.
overcome. Outdoor mixing points like this might improve safety when | :14:02. | :14:07.
it comes to slurry. Just one of a number of serious occupational | :14:07. | :14:13.
hazards. Farming is one of the most dangerous occupations. Farmers were | :14:13. | :14:18.
with heavy machinery and scenery, all very dangerous factors are to | :14:18. | :14:24.
be taken on board. We have seen the number of fatalities on farms and | :14:24. | :14:28.
we need to get messages out there, to work with the farmers themselves | :14:28. | :14:32.
and get these messages out there to try and improve the safety of our | :14:32. | :14:36.
farmers. The minister is also keen to stress that if farmers have | :14:36. | :14:40.
doubts about the safety of their slurry tanks, they should contact | :14:40. | :14:45.
the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, which is | :14:45. | :14:49.
trained advisers who can help. The Health Minister Edwin Poots | :14:49. | :14:56.
joins us now from Stormont. You know the family well, we have | :14:56. | :15:00.
heard about the character of Nevin Spence, what can you tell us about | :15:01. | :15:08.
Noel and Graham? I would have known the parents' best. All was an | :15:08. | :15:13.
exceptionally strong man. He was not to be messed with in terms of | :15:13. | :15:21.
just how we carried on and even fooling around! His wife was a | :15:21. | :15:27.
sweet 80 and is a teacher in a local school. Graham came home to | :15:27. | :15:37.
:15:37. | :15:38. | ||
the farm and worked very hard to build it up along with his family. | :15:38. | :15:42.
A superb family, really be a respected in the community and this | :15:42. | :15:45.
is such a loss and whilst there has been a lot of concentration on the | :15:45. | :15:50.
rugby, Nevin will be replaced as a centre but he will not be replaced | :15:50. | :15:54.
as a brother or son and neither will be Graham replaced as a father, | :15:54. | :16:01.
son or a brother, or noel replaced as a husband or father. What do you | :16:01. | :16:06.
think can be done to make farms safer? Perhaps we need to be | :16:06. | :16:09.
contacting the European Union and indicating to them that we have our | :16:09. | :16:13.
concerns about the numbers of farmers who have died as a result | :16:13. | :16:20.
of serious incidents. Also the pressure applied on them to have | :16:20. | :16:25.
the slurry spread so quickly. I also think it would be useful to | :16:25. | :16:31.
have some kind of manager available for farmers, that they could test | :16:31. | :16:35.
how much gas they is in the system because they do have to go in and | :16:35. | :16:40.
out of houses have to change the pumps and so forth. A lot about the | :16:40. | :16:45.
deadline, does it need to be changed? There needs to be more | :16:45. | :16:49.
flexibility. If we get longer periods of good weather in the | :16:49. | :16:51.
winter time, there needs to be flexibility built and there because | :16:51. | :16:55.
farmers are really very desperate to get all the slurry out at this | :16:55. | :17:01.
time of the year, to get the tanks empty. At the end of January, they | :17:01. | :17:05.
are very full and pose the greatest risks. | :17:05. | :17:07.
The Health and Safety Executive said this afternoon they should | :17:07. | :17:10.
have the first stage of their investigation into what happened | :17:10. | :17:13.
completed by Friday. I'm joined by BBC Northern Ireland's Agriculture | :17:13. | :17:20.
reporter, Richard Wright. Investigation is continuing but | :17:20. | :17:26.
what other possible explanations? The most likely explanation is that | :17:27. | :17:31.
the people went down into a tunnel or pipe that brings the slurry from | :17:31. | :17:36.
the house into an outside slurry lagoon which is effectively a big | :17:36. | :17:40.
pond of slurry that you would have on a farm of that size, and they | :17:40. | :17:47.
had mixed in the morning so the gas had been gone but this demise went | :17:47. | :17:55.
into this pipe that brings the slurry and that is where the gas is | :17:55. | :17:59.
where that they had collected in that and anyone, as we saw in the | :18:00. | :18:03.
previous peace, anyone who comes across those gases, will go down | :18:03. | :18:07.
very quickly. There have been suggestions about monitors or | :18:07. | :18:14.
alarms or gas masks? Yes, the ultimate advice is that if you can | :18:14. | :18:19.
stay away from the situations, that is the advice from the Health and | :18:19. | :18:27.
Safety Executive. In fairness, this was an accident. They thought they | :18:27. | :18:31.
gases had disappeared into the air after they had been agitated and | :18:31. | :18:35.
mixed in the morning. Obviously they had collected in this tunnel, | :18:35. | :18:41.
but it is just a tragic accident at, no matter what standards are put in | :18:41. | :18:51.
:18:51. | :18:53. | ||
place, farmers will put measures in place. All farmers are devastated | :18:53. | :18:58.
by this because it is an everyday task on every farm in Northern | :18:58. | :19:01.
Ireland and when farmers see this happen, they will think long and | :19:01. | :19:06.
hard about the risks they take. family obviously preparing for a | :19:06. | :19:09.
funeral but what about the practicalities of keeping a farm of | :19:09. | :19:15.
that size running? That is the most difficult task. People will come in | :19:15. | :19:21.
and help, neighbours and people from the community and the rugby | :19:21. | :19:28.
club. Cars will get knocked and fed but a desire pig farm with 200 | :19:28. | :19:33.
cattle and what you have effectively lost in the father and | :19:33. | :19:36.
son are the people who manage the business and in the months to come | :19:36. | :19:40.
when people can no longer just come to help, decisions owing be have to | :19:40. | :19:46.
mediate but how to run the business. That is very hard. Very hard for | :19:46. | :19:49.
Mrs Spence left on the farm because it is her home but also the case | :19:49. | :19:54.
were the horrendous accident happened. Someone is always left to | :19:54. | :19:59.
cope with the aftermath of the accident when it is also their home. | :19:59. | :20:03.
Very, very tough times ahead for that family and there is not a | :20:03. | :20:08.
single farm in Northern Ireland it would not feel for them. | :20:08. | :20:12.
BBC Newsline has been out on police raids as the PSNI rolls out a new | :20:12. | :20:15.
operation to tackle street-level drug dealers. Our district | :20:15. | :20:17.
journalist Gordon Adair joined one group of officers taking the fight, | :20:17. | :20:27.
:20:27. | :20:30. | ||
literally, to the dealers doors. Newry, and to next-door neighbours, | :20:30. | :20:38.
boats suspected drug dealers, are about to get a nasty shock. This is | :20:38. | :20:42.
just one of well over 1000 searches which have been carried out as part | :20:42. | :20:50.
of any move against street level dealers. This operation has seen | :20:50. | :20:54.
more than 200 people arrested across Northern Ireland in a matter | :20:54. | :21:04.
:21:04. | :21:04. | ||
of weeks. The local officers are trying to tease more information | :21:04. | :21:10.
from the community. At an early morning briefing, then it's off to | :21:10. | :21:15.
target the homes of two well known suspects. We cannot do this without | :21:15. | :21:20.
people giving us information and working with us. We depend on that | :21:20. | :21:23.
information to do the searches so the more information we get, the | :21:23. | :21:32.
better. There is a difficult game, it is a never-ending battle for | :21:32. | :21:36.
last but we need the help from the community. Minutes later, we're the | :21:36. | :21:46.
:21:46. | :21:56. | ||
suspect's Home. The a firearm is quickly found and a man is arrested. | :21:56. | :22:00.
The surge inside the house has now been completed and a small amount | :22:00. | :22:04.
of suspected drugs were found as well as a firearm. The officers and | :22:04. | :22:07.
are searching the gardens of neighbouring properties and already | :22:07. | :22:11.
this has you did an amount of herbal cannabis, Canada's present | :22:11. | :22:15.
and a balaclava. Primarily this operation is directed towards | :22:15. | :22:19.
street-level dealings. We know from public feedback that this is what | :22:19. | :22:26.
people worry about. We are very much to do this operation together | :22:26. | :22:29.
to tackle that and clamp down on that. The operation is now entering | :22:29. | :22:34.
a new phase and it is the public's turn to do their bit. What do they | :22:35. | :22:44.
:22:45. | :22:45. | ||
know? What can tell police? We will act upon that. The sums involved | :22:45. | :22:48.
are relatively small. Here, a detective explains what we are | :22:48. | :22:58.
looking at. Individual leaves wrapped up in a bigger bike. You're | :22:58. | :23:08.
:23:08. | :23:10. | ||
probably looking at 20 a stick here. We have eight sticks here so | :23:10. | :23:14.
one other than 60. A police are convinced that tackling this type | :23:14. | :23:18.
of street dealing will ultimately prove as important as taking out | :23:18. | :23:23.
the big dealers on the war against drugs. | :23:23. | :23:26.
Four men have been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in | :23:26. | :23:30.
Craigavon. 46 year-old David Neill was attacked outside his home in | :23:30. | :23:34.
Parkmore in the early hours of yesterday morning. He was treated | :23:34. | :23:37.
for his injuries at the scene but died later in hospital. The men | :23:37. | :23:41.
being questioned are aged between 36 and 17. Local residents have | :23:41. | :23:51.
:23:51. | :23:52. | ||
spoken of their shock. A very quiet man. He would have | :23:52. | :23:59.
done anybody a good turn. The neighbourhood is devastated. It is | :23:59. | :24:02.
hard to believe. Police investigating the murder of | :24:02. | :24:08.
Arlene Arkinson have searched a derelict flat in Castlederg. The | :24:08. | :24:11.
teenager disappeared in 1994. Convicted child killer Robert | :24:11. | :24:16.
Howard once lived in the flat on Main Street. In 2005, he was | :24:16. | :24:20.
charged with and acquitted of Arlene's murder. The police say the | :24:20. | :24:22.
forensic searches at the flat and in countryside outside Castlederg | :24:22. | :24:28.
follow new information given to detectives. | :24:28. | :24:31.
A search for the remains of one of the so-called disappeared has | :24:31. | :24:35.
resumed in County Monaghan. 19 year-old Columba McVeigh was | :24:35. | :24:41.
kidnapped and murdered by the IRA in 1975. His body has never been | :24:41. | :24:46.
recovered. A 28 year-old man has appeared at | :24:46. | :24:48.
Coleraine magistrates court charged with assaulting a Chinese man last | :24:48. | :24:52.
week. 45 year-old John Wu was attacked outside his Long Commons | :24:52. | :24:57.
home. Patrick Nalty from Claragh Hill Park in Kilrea is charged with | :24:57. | :25:02.
assault causing actual bodily harm. He was granted bail and is due to | :25:02. | :25:08.
appear in court again next month. The union, Unite, which represents | :25:08. | :25:11.
the majority of workers in FG Wilson says it will continue to | :25:11. | :25:16.
fight to save jobs at the plant. On Thursday the company which is owned | :25:16. | :25:19.
by US-based Caterpillar announced it is to shed 760 jobs across its | :25:19. | :25:26.
factories in Larne, Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and Springdale. After | :25:26. | :25:28.
meeting workers in Larne this morning, Unite representatives | :25:28. | :25:32.
warned the company it must consult with unions and staff to avoid any | :25:32. | :25:42.
:25:42. | :25:54. | ||
disruption to its operations. There will be a cool feel to the | :25:54. | :25:57.
weather this coming week. It is the middle of September so it really | :25:57. | :26:00.
shouldn't be a big surprise. We have had some blustery showers | :26:00. | :26:04.
today and they will continue tomorrow. Thursday looks to be the | :26:04. | :26:07.
wettest day and it will be sandwiched in between dry days on | :26:07. | :26:11.
Wednesday and Friday. Tomorrow night there will be some quite low | :26:11. | :26:16.
temperatures. This is how the weather radar looks at the moment, | :26:16. | :26:20.
still a healthy gathering of showers around. They will continue | :26:20. | :26:24.
over the next few hours but with time, they will be confined to | :26:24. | :26:32.
northern coastal counties. Temperatures in the South dropping | :26:32. | :26:38.
as low as three or four degrees. Close To tomorrow. Further shares | :26:38. | :26:43.
again but in between one or two nice windows, as there was today in | :26:43. | :26:47.
Bangor. The blustery wind will blow from the north-west and that will | :26:47. | :26:52.
make it feel even colder than today. To start with, some sunshine and it | :26:52. | :26:57.
will be a pleasant start particularly across the South East. | :26:57. | :27:03.
The rain will drift further south east in those winds. It means by | :27:03. | :27:08.
lunchtime, we are more likely to see showers across Tyrone, | :27:08. | :27:13.
Londonderry and more of Antrim. Further south, there will be a few | :27:13. | :27:20.
in Belfast as well but not as many Inter county Down and County Armagh. | :27:20. | :27:24.
14 degrees is the best we can expect tomorrow, couple of degrees | :27:24. | :27:29.
down from today so it will feel quite cold at times. The rain this | :27:29. | :27:32.
appears tomorrow so a nice bright end to the day can then tomorrow | :27:32. | :27:41.
night, quite cold with temperatures dropping as low as three degrees. | :27:41. | :27:46.
Possibly a touch of frost on the grass on Wednesday morning. Not too | :27:46. | :27:52.
bad a day on Wednesday, very few showers. The rain, though, is back | :27:52. | :27:57.
on Thursday. That was BBC Newsline on a day when | :27:57. | :28:02.
sympathy has been pouring in for a family after the tragic deaths of | :28:02. | :28:07. |
