Good evening. The man who drowned when his boat capsized in the River

Erne last night has been named. He was 20-year-old Lee Rogers from

Enniskillen. He was with a group of five friends who managed to swim to

safety. Conor Macauley reports. An intensive search of the river earn

got underway as soon as the incident was reported. All of the Emergency

Services were involved, helping to scour the waterway for a sign of the

missing man. Lee Rogers had gone out on the water with five other

friends. They got into difficulty around teatime. Having passed on

what information they had, the friends were taken by ambulance for

medical treatment. An Irish rescue helicopter helped in the operation,

as did members of the North West Mountain Rescue Team.

The reed beds were checked and the shallows but while the group's boat

was found and recovered yesterday evening, there was no sign of Mr

Rodgers as night fell. The Emergency Services were here

from 6. 30pm. All here until about 10.00pm, when the light started to

fade and the operation had to be stood down for the evening. They

were all back this morning at 8.00am and at about 11.00am Mr Roger's body

was recovered not far from the spot where his boat capsized.

An investigation is underway to establish exactly what happened.

Mr Rodgers, who was 20, was from the town.

A woman's been attacked in Belfast city centre. The victim who's 26 was

assaulted near Arthur Lane and Patterson's Place by a man who is

described as being in his early 20's and wearing a blue hooded top with

blond hair. The man was in the company of two other men. Graffitti

has been painted on two houses in the Village area of South Belfast.

The homes are in Tavanagh Street and Broadway. Police are treating both

incidents as hate crimes. The Taoiseach Edna Kenny has laid a

wreath at the site of one of three bombs which exploded 40 years ago

today in the worst day of atrocities during the Troubles. Relatives of

the dead and survivors of the Dublin-Monaghan bombings gathered

for the memorial in Dublin. 33 people were killed, including a

pregnant woman, and almost 300 people injured in the attacks in

1974. A well-known rider has been injured in a high speed crash at

this afternoon's North west 200. He was airlifted to hospital. At

today's meeting local rider Michael Dunlop won two races including the

coveted Superbike race. Nial Foster reports. English man Simon Andrews

was air-lifted to the hospital in Belfast for treatment after crashing

this afternoon in the superbike race. His condition is not known.

The man of the meeting was Michael Dunlop. He collected a trophy in

recognition of the feat. He won the superbike race, finishing ahead of

the Australian, Josh Brookes. I knew he could do it. That first

race, I knew I could do it. I did not know how much I was leading by.

I pushed the last lap. I thought, let's have this, boys.

After a dramatic battle with his brother, William, he was also on the

top of the podium in the first superbike race. The brothers brought

back memories of their famous father, Robert's bouts. And in a

Nile biting finish, William made his move on Michael, and surged to the

finish line to seal the win. There was a crash in the closing

stages, paving the way for Bruce Annisty to take his tenth title. He

recovered in time to get to the podium.

So the Dunlop dynasty continues as a new generation added their names to

the north-west history book. It was not quite as sunny today.

Now, Angie has the weather forecast. It was a bit mixed today but at

least not a complete wash-out like last year at this time.

Having said that, there is a band of rain to move to western and northern

parts of the evening to extend through the night. There could be a

heavy burst mixed in. But it will be a mild night. Once the rain sets

day, wet in many places, in particular in the east.

In the west, starting dull and wet before the persistent rain edges out

of the way. The rain extends from the east in the Republic of Ireland

up to the central and the west of Scotland where there is a risk of

surface water flooding. Ahead of that it is dry and bright and sunny.

And in London it is warm. The temperatures are getting up to 24

Celsius, maybe even 25 Celsius. Behind the rain it is not completely

dry. There are showers developing, some of them heavy with a risk of

thunder. There is the odd bright interval, and a cooler day at 12

Celsius. If you are heading to Healy Park tomorrow, wrap up warm. There

could be one or two showers. Into the week, when low pressure is in

charge, there is more rain, some of it heavy. But the temperatures are
