crash in South Belfast tonight. It happened on Milltown Road

at Shaw's Bridge. It brings to five the number

of people killed This is normally a busy stretch of

road. But tonight most of the vehicles on it were a fire engines

and police cars. A sign of a very serious crash. A car and a motorbike

were involved in the collision near a filling station on the Milltown

Road. The mortar cyclist and driver of the car died. The crash happened

shortly after eight o'clock this evening and police" near an estate.

the fourth fatal crash in Northern Ireland in the last four days. Once

Meanwhile, a six-year-old boy is in a serious

condition in hospital after he was knocked down in Newtownabbey.

It happened on Carnmoney Road. In man has been arrested after stones

were thrown in east Belfast. It followed a parade which passed off

peacefully. Nine men have been sent to jail

for their part in a sectarian attack which led to

the death of a man in Coleraine. Kevin McDaid,

a Catholic community worker, was assaulted in a row over flags

outside his home five years ago. Our reporter Kevin Sharkey was

at Belfast Crown Court. Kevin McDaid was 49,

a father of four. He lived on Somerset Drive where

he was attacked and died. His wife and this man, Damien

Fleming, a family friend, attacked. The court heard he lost

so much blood in the attack that he had a heart attack and was

effectively dead for two minutes. The attack shocked the community

in Coleraine and beyond. Then Minister visited the town. --

the then Security Minister. The prosecution service charged a

number of people with manslaughter. When the case came to trial,

it was revealed Kevin McDaid had a serious underlying heart

condition and could have suffered Because of this, the Crown

accepted pleas to lesser charges. There was a big security operation

inside and outside the court. 12 people were

in the dock, aged between 24-55. The public gallery was packed

with families and supporters. The judge said the attack brought

on a heart attack that The judge described how Kevin McDaid

and Damien Fleming were attacked. He said they were attacked with

weapons while lying on the ground. The judge said it was an ugly,

sectarian attack fuelled by alcohol. Two others received suspended

to the month of July. Quite a few inland areas, temperatures in the

low 20s. A fine night that follows. Try with clear spells mostly.

Generally speaking, temperatures in double figures although as with the

last couple of nights, one or two spots will get a few degrees lower.

Into tomorrow, change is on the way. We will see clouds spilling its way

in. The Belize will picket -- drop-in as well. Maybe some sunshine

for a time but it will be bright rather than Sony because we will see

increasing amounts of high cloud. -- rather than Sony. Maybe some

sunshine lingering in the south-east. Mainly dry with sunshine

across much of England and we are. They will be patches and areas of

cloud around but still pretty warm sunshine. Temperatures into the

mid-20s. You can clearly see them any area of weather in the

north-east Scotland. We will see that in some parts of Northern

Ireland as well. Rain in the north and west during the latter part of
