The Secretary of State says she's willing to meet Unionist and

Orange Order leaders, to discuss their call for a commission

of inquiry into the issues surrounding the curtailed parade

It follows a joint news conference at which they unveiled the first

part of what they call their graduated response to the ruling.

There were similarities with the signing of the Ulster covenant this

morning when Orange leaders and Unionist and Loyalist politicians

gathered, united in addition to the parades commission by peaceful

what the secretary of state has said and that's fine. She's guarded but

mildly positive, I would describe it as. That's good so let's see if she

goes ahead with their meeting. Hopefully that can happen quickly

and then let's see what her definitive response is. Questions

were also asked about those sitting on side the Orange Order at today's

news conference, including some bullet or parties with links to

Loyalist paramilitaries. -- political parties. In some cases

they are community representatives and the fact that a person has a

past does not mean they can't have a future. The framework is based on

fundamental principles, which are being lawful, being peaceful and

being respectful. The only threat of violence is coming from Republicans.

We defend any statement at any stage. There is a highlight of

optimism and hope that we will get through this weekend without things

escalating into serious disorder or violence. I share that hope and

optimism but people have choices to make here. People are responsible

night with temperatures generally holding in double figures between 11

and 13. Into tomorrow, it looks as if we are going to hold onto pretty

cloudy skies but compared to today, fewer showers so the emphasis is on

spell, particularly towards the east. The cloudy skies extend into

the Republic but there could be a few spots of rain, which should fade

away throughout the day. A fair amount of cloud for central and

extending from Scotland to the north-west of England, down through

Wales and towards the south-west and temperatures into the low 20s.

humid day tomorrow afternoon as temperatures rise to 19 or 20

beneath the fairly cloudy skies and stop a bit of a change of the way.

You see the rain just nudging into the West. That is associated with a

weather front that moves in through tomorrow night and into Saturday and

is going to bring fairly wet conditions. Spells of rain could be

heavy at times but Sunday is looking a little bit better.
