There has been minor trouble in Belfast city centre

Sunday afternoon in Belfast city centre.

This is just outside the Castlecourt shopping centre on Royal Avenue.

The Republican parade went through the middle of the city on

But they couldn't stop some missiles being thrown.

Loyalists claimed that some republicans had taunted them

They mentioned every atrocity they could think of, they were shouting

and laughing. If they were serious, that is not the kind of language

that should come from any parade. What about the things that were

thrown? It should not happen, it was wrong.

It only took about 15 minutes for the parade to pass through

the city centre, but almost 1,000 police officers were on duty.

It is a sophisticated operation, they are not just watching the

parade, they are looking ahead and blocking roads. The security

operation cost thousands of pounds, and many local businesses last

afternoon trade. This is one parade that Republicans and others are

holding in the city centre, it is our home, everyone has the rights to

parade through it. In spite of cost and disruption? Yes, what cost human

rights? A petrol bomb has been thrown into

the garden of a house in Portadown. It happened on the Westland Road

just after half past five this morning.

A fence was damaged. Police are working to establish

a motive. Cannabis plants with

an estimated street value of ?100,000 have been seized

by police in County Fermanagh. They were found in a search

of a house in Ports Road Police also took away cannabis

cultivation equipment. Golf and Northern Ireland's Rory

McIlroy is due to tee-off in just over an hour?s time at

the USPGA Championship in Valhalla. The World number one goes

into the final day's play one shot ahead of his rivals - after leading

the tournament from the start. He is in her very calm state of

after heavy rain The area worst affected was

at O'Neill Avenue. Two fire crews were called to

pump out the excess water. At 11am this morning, we had some

appliances sent to this address, on arrival, we were met with addresses

with water around them. We got the pump to work and we are currently

using it to defuse the water to a different location.

The heavy rain came to us today courtesy of hurricane Bertha. Some

heavy wind to northern Britain. It might been tropical in origin, there

was nothing tropical about our weather today, temperatures well

below where they should be but this time of year. Thankfully, an

improvement for the week ahead. Some showers, some gaps in between, the

breeze making it feel cool. Temperatures close to average,

higher than today. The good news is, some drier, brighter, sunnier

weather to look forward to at the end of the week. The worst of the

rain clearing away to the north-east. Windy on the coast and

some showers moving through tonight, so it will be wet with some clear

skies tonight also. Because of the breeze, temperatures will not be

much lower than nine or 10 degrees. Tomorrow, some brightness, but also

some showers and it will feel cool in the breeze. Take an umbrella with

you. The shares should move quick swiftly, one or two could be sharp

around lunch time. -- the rain showers should move quickly. A mix

of sunshine and showers down south with some heavy showers in the

West. The remnants of her kin brother bringing heavy rain to the

north-east of Scotland tomorrow. -- the remnants of hurricane Bertha.

higher than today, 17, 18 degrees in Belfast and in the south-east. One
