A man from Limavady is being questioned

over the suspected manslaughter of an illegal immigrant found

The two accused include a 31-year-old with an address in

Hanover Street in Portadown and a 23-year-old from Charles Street,

also in Portadown. Altogether, they face more than 50 charges. Each

faces 12 charges of trafficking people, 12 charges of forced labour,

and each faces one charge of being an unlicensed gang master. One of

faces a further charge of money-laundering. It's understood

the charges relate to police searchers -- researchers into

bullies County Armagh. These 20 potential victims of human were

rescued. The victims were all remaining, and include men and women

between the ages of 20 and 48. The court hearing was held up

temporarily because of an issue over a Romanian translator. During the

brief proceedings, a detective constable told the court he believed

he could connect both men to the charges. The policeman also

confident to the court that the police investigation was still

ongoing. A lawyer for one defendant asked the detective constable of his

client had given the police of the lines of enquiry which could point

away from his guilt. The police officer told the court that the

defendant in question had made certain allegations to the police.

At one point, the defendant rose to tell the court, through the

translator, that he and his co-accused denied all the charges

that were being put before them. Both men were remanded in custody

and will appear later in the month via video link.

A judge is due to rule tomorrow on whether the Real IRA leader Michael

McKevitt should be released early from a 20-year prison sentence.
