A nineteen year old woman has died in a house fire in Castlewellan

As Maggie Taggart reports, the fire service has appealed

for people to install and maintain smoke detectors in their homes.

In the shadow of the snow topped mourns, a parent's worst nightmare.

A 19-year-old girl, named locally as Emma Finnegan died early this

morning. 22 firefighters struggled to put out the fire and rescue her.

The efforts to revive her were in vain, she died at the scene. She was

described as I have intelligent and strikingly beautiful lady with a

high wit and sharp personality. She lived with her father about his

butchers' shop. The tragedy is doubly sad, she died on the third

anniversary of her mother's death in 2013. Her family and friends are

said to be devastated at the death. Tributes were paid. This to the

whole town is in shock, everybody is devastated. Massive loss to the

community as a whole. Everybody will take a long-time to get over this.

The leading fireman at the scene appealed for people to install a

warning. There was no working alarm in the building. If there was, that

young lady may have stood a chance. Terrible tragedy for Castlewellan

and the family and the firefighters who fought hard. Friends say Ellen

had text if her father to wishing well as he was due to go on holiday

this morning. A woman has been arrested by police

investigating the murder of James McDonagh in

Toomebridge last weekend. Tributes have been left outside

the bar where the 28 year old from Castledawson

was assaulted on Sunday morning. A 33 year old woman was detained

in Banbridge this morning and is being questioned on suspicion

of withholding information. A 24 year old man appeared in court

on Thursday charged with murder. A man's been arrested and drugs

seized during a search in Newry. During a police raid on a house

house in Mourneview Park last night officers found class A drugs

and articles believed to be used Some money and three vehicles

were also seized. The man has been released on bail

pending further enquiries. A power cut in the Comber area

has left two thousand Initially a total of

4,000 were cut off. It's been caused by faults

in an overhead line Power NI say it will take

them into the evening Rugby, Ulster have gone down their

way to Saracens in the European Champions Cup. It means they won't

need a win at home next week, favourable results elsewhere to be

in with a chance of qualifying for the last eight. Ulster lined out on

a high after their nail-biting win last week. They knew there was

Northern Ireland, then tomorrow the wet weather will come in to give us

a wet end to the day. Breezy, winds coming from the south-east. Tomorrow

night not quite as Chile. A damp start of the week, some rain on

Monday, not heavy, like an drizzly, temperatures reaching 6-7d. Once we

get rid of the wet weather, probably a bit of high-pressure from the

north. That effectively shuts off the wet weather. From Monday

onwards, fairly dry, more in the way of sunshine for Tuesday and

Wednesday. Quite cold, temperatures of six, 7 degrees. Keep updated on
