A man has died in the Sligo road. One vehicle was involved.

A 35-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the death

of a man near Coalisland yesterday has been released on police bail.

The Abu Dhabi Championship signals the start of the golfing season

and in the early hours of this morning.

Rory McIlroy finished joint third in the competition.

forecast for the start of the week. It has been mild for the end of

January. They reached 15 Celsius today which is more typical for May.

Lots of cloud around tonight and quite breezy, especially in coastal

areas but temperatures stay in double figures everywhere. It is

mild this side of the Atlantic but of course it is another story

towards the US where record amounts have fallen -- record amount of

snow. It moves away from the East Coast and will move over the

Atlantic towards the UK and Ireland. It will impact on our weather, but

with no snow, let of rain and strong winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. A

mild but unsettled week to come. Each day will be slightly different

but there will never be too far away and some of it will be heavy and we

can also expect some strong winds. Monday will be a mild day for most

of the day. There will be some rain around, some rain and drizzle

through the rush hour. Damn, mist and murky over the hills but trying

up around the middle part of the morning. Another set of rain moving

in from the west which will be quite heavy. No warnings anywhere in the

UK and Ireland tomorrow and very mild sunshine across eastern parts

of Britain. Temperatures hitting the low teens for a while but they will

be heavy rain for a while around lunchtime. As that moves away and

stay stuck to brighten up and clear, it will turn cooler, so a cooler

night on Monday. There will be some strong winds. By the end of Tuesday,

it is expected to be drier but the second batch I writes on Wednesday

and some further rain on Thursday, two.
