A murder investigation begins after a prison officer dies | :00:00. | :00:24.
11 days after being injured by a dissident republican bomb. | :00:25. | :00:26.
A budget-day surprise as the Chancellor announces | :00:27. | :00:28.
Northern Ireland is to get an air ambulance. | :00:29. | :00:31.
The budget also delivered a spending boost to the Executive - | :00:32. | :00:34.
New plans for the redevelopment of Casement Park | :00:35. | :00:39.
Also on the programme tonight: We meet a deaf man who spent more | :00:40. | :00:45.
than 50 years living in a hospital but is now living near his family. | :00:46. | :00:54.
He had no life, compared to what he has now. | :00:55. | :01:08.
On the day football's Euro 16 trophy came to Belfast, | :01:09. | :01:10.
the Northern Ireland manager signs a new four year deal. | :01:11. | :01:13.
And find out what the weather has | :01:14. | :01:16.
in store for St Patrick's Day later in the programme. | :01:17. | :01:18.
Police have begun a murder inquiry into the death of prison officer | :01:19. | :01:23.
Adrian Ismay after a postmortem examination found that he died | :01:24. | :01:26.
as a direct result of the injuries sustained in a dissident republican | :01:27. | :01:30.
Our home affairs correspondent Vincent Kearney reports. | :01:31. | :01:36.
Friends and neighbours have rallied round the family of Adrian Ismay. | :01:37. | :01:41.
When news of the 52-year-old's death was announced yesterday, | :01:42. | :01:44.
the suspicion was that his heart attack was the result of injuries | :01:45. | :01:48.
suffered when a bomb exploded under his van | :01:49. | :01:50.
Today, a postmortem confirmed that was the case. | :01:51. | :01:57.
It's understood the postmortem concluded that Adrian Ismay's heart | :01:58. | :02:01.
It says that clot was a direct result of injuries sustained | :02:02. | :02:07.
in the bomb explosion here 12 days ago. | :02:08. | :02:11.
As a result of those findings, the police have now launched | :02:12. | :02:14.
One man has already appeared in court and been charged | :02:15. | :02:18.
He's expected to be brought back to court within days for that charge | :02:19. | :02:24.
The Director-General of the Prison Service met | :02:25. | :02:28.
the officer's family this afternoon, shortly after it was confirmed | :02:29. | :02:32.
that his death was the result of the bomb attack. | :02:33. | :02:39.
They are absolutely devastated by what has happened. I spent time with | :02:40. | :02:47.
his wife and one of his daughters. There are lots of people at the | :02:48. | :02:51.
house supporting them, wider family, friends and neighbours, but they are | :02:52. | :02:54.
beyond shock at what has happened. Sue McAllister also said claims that | :02:55. | :02:57.
a small number of dissident republicans in Maghaberry had | :02:58. | :02:59.
celebrated news of the death and taunted prison staff by smoking | :03:00. | :03:02.
cigars in the exercise yard of their wing had | :03:03. | :03:04.
been substantiated. I felt very angry, as did many of my | :03:05. | :03:16.
colleagues, angry that people were behaving that way, but we encounter | :03:17. | :03:22.
challenging behaviour I a small number of prisoners every day and | :03:23. | :03:26.
deal with it professionally, it is our standards that prevail and we do | :03:27. | :03:30.
not do to behaving that way in response. | :03:31. | :03:32.
Adrian Ismay will be buried on Tuesday. | :03:33. | :03:35.
The Chancellor has unveiled his budget and with some extra money | :03:36. | :03:38.
and moves on corporation tax, plus a lot of measures | :03:39. | :03:41.
which will impact on household incomes, it's the focus of a lot | :03:42. | :03:43.
We'll hear more about those in a moment but first, | :03:44. | :03:48.
Marie-Louise Connolly reports on what might arguably be the most | :03:49. | :03:50.
eye-catching element locally - ?4 million worth of funding | :03:51. | :03:54.
for an air ambulance that could be up and running within months. | :03:55. | :04:04.
helicopter like this will be landing very soon in Northern Ireland. While | :04:05. | :04:14.
the timing of the news came as a surprise, what was even more | :04:15. | :04:17.
surprising was that it was the Chancellor making the announcement. | :04:18. | :04:21.
The funding comes from fines imposed on banks for rigging interest rates | :04:22. | :04:24.
used for lending money. We will use over ?4 million | :04:25. | :04:35.
from Libor fines to help establish the first air ambulance service | :04:36. | :04:37.
for Northern Ireland. The campaign for an air ambulance | :04:38. | :04:45.
has been long and fraught. A charity was dissolved after it got into | :04:46. | :04:50.
financial difficulties. The issue laid dormant until last year until | :04:51. | :04:57.
it was put on the agenda after Doctor John Hinds was killed in an | :04:58. | :05:04.
accident, having told the BBC weeks before he died that a medical | :05:05. | :05:08.
Ambulance Service would be a game changer. We know other services like | :05:09. | :05:15.
this have reduced trauma deaths up to 40% and that is what we are | :05:16. | :05:19.
missing. The campaign received another call and elliptical backing. | :05:20. | :05:26.
It must be centrally located, around Aldergrove airport, and able to | :05:27. | :05:35.
reach time when most of the accidents occur, which is in the | :05:36. | :05:41.
East. While it was George Osborne's budget that gave the air ambulance | :05:42. | :05:45.
Project permission to land here, it will be up to Simon Hamilton to work | :05:46. | :05:50.
out the finer detail like location, staffing and longer term funding. | :05:51. | :05:56.
That is to be announced on Monday and we understand the service could | :05:57. | :05:59.
take off soon as happy of the money is available in the 2016 budget. | :06:00. | :06:05.
The budget also delivered a spending boost to the | :06:06. | :06:07.
Changes to tax thresholds will also put money in people's pockets. | :06:08. | :06:11.
Our business correspondent Julian O'Neill is here | :06:12. | :06:12.
Stormont sees good news in this budget. | :06:13. | :06:18.
It will get an extra ?223 million over the next four years. | :06:19. | :06:22.
The tax-free allowance is rising to ?11,500 from next year - | :06:23. | :06:29.
a move the government says will make people ?182 a year better off. | :06:30. | :06:34.
And despite all the pre-budget speculation, fuel duty is frozen, | :06:35. | :06:39.
and along with it so is the tax on beer, spirits and cider. | :06:40. | :06:46.
Pre-budget there had been much talk of a first increase in fuel duty | :06:47. | :06:49.
But no, another freeze and one greeted enthusiastically at this | :06:50. | :06:56.
The transport industry work pleasantly surprised by the | :06:57. | :07:08.
announcement. We anticipated a 1p increase would have resulted in | :07:09. | :07:15.
additional costs around ?470 per year for vehicles like this. | :07:16. | :07:16.
The man in charge of the Stormont chequebook also has a little more | :07:17. | :07:19.
There are pressures that this 223 million will give some element of | :07:20. | :07:30.
relief, which I think ministers in the new executive will welcome. | :07:31. | :07:32.
Income tax thresholds are changing next year. | :07:33. | :07:34.
The amount on which no tax is paid is increasing and the 40p rate | :07:35. | :07:37.
16p is being added to a pack of 20 cigarettes and one of the budget's | :07:38. | :07:44.
big headlines is a new sugar tax on soft drinks in two years' time, | :07:45. | :07:50.
with a slice of the revenue raised coming back to Stormont. | :07:51. | :07:59.
More beneficial for the money to go some very useful and maybe reduced | :08:00. | :08:06.
sugary drinks, though most people will still buy them. It is a good | :08:07. | :08:12.
idea and workable, if it goes back into the economy, it's a good idea. | :08:13. | :08:23.
Our leaders are in the US promoting local corporation tax. The | :08:24. | :08:31.
Chancellor will announce a new rate by 2020, which makes it easier for | :08:32. | :08:42.
the indicative to pay for. A further 3.5 million pounds of savings are | :08:43. | :08:47.
required in the next four years, and it is hard to see storm and escaping | :08:48. | :08:51.
a share of the pain. As one economist put it, a spoonful of | :08:52. | :08:56.
sugar tax to help the austerity go down. | :08:57. | :09:00.
Our Business and Economics Editor, John Campbell, | :09:01. | :09:01.
So we heard the Chancellor saying the rate of corporation tax | :09:02. | :09:05.
Does that spoil things for people campaigning to have it reduced here? | :09:06. | :09:15.
One of the major at things the First and Deputy First Minister had been | :09:16. | :09:20.
doing in the US is selling the reduced rate of corporation tax from | :09:21. | :09:26.
2018, which gives us an advantage as an investment location. A few years | :09:27. | :09:31.
ago it would have been a big advantage because the UK rate was | :09:32. | :09:39.
28% but now in 2020 the UK rate will be just 17%, so that advantage has | :09:40. | :09:43.
diminished over time although it is still within the death of the | :09:44. | :09:49.
indicative to cut it further, as low as 10%. What about the new panel of | :09:50. | :09:59.
advisers to help with US investment? Invest Northern Ireland already have | :10:00. | :10:05.
people in the east and West Coast of the US looking for investment | :10:06. | :10:09.
opportunities, but as part of the renewed push this week, the First | :10:10. | :10:13.
and Deputy First Minister wants best friends in corporate America to make | :10:14. | :10:19.
Northern Ireland's case. One of them is Sean Kelly, a West Belfast man | :10:20. | :10:27.
who is now in KPMG, the other is a Limerick man now based in Silicon | :10:28. | :10:32.
Valley. It is helping some of those doors, also on a day to day business | :10:33. | :10:37.
bringing awareness in Northern Ireland that it is a place to invest | :10:38. | :10:43.
in, and when companies want to make a decision they are looking at | :10:44. | :10:47.
cities around the world and being in front of a leader in Silicon Valley | :10:48. | :10:51.
and saying, have you considered Belfast and Derry as an option? | :10:52. | :10:56.
But a trip very much overshadowed, would you say, by the death | :10:57. | :10:59.
That was raised at a meeting the ministers had with President Obama | :11:00. | :11:08.
last night but when I spoke to them afterwards they had said they would | :11:09. | :11:13.
not be diverted and would continue with their push to attract | :11:14. | :11:17.
investment and build on the fresh start agreement. | :11:18. | :11:18.
Gerry Adams didn't get into the main White House St Patrick's function | :11:19. | :11:21.
No, this is an event Mr Adams has been too many times, the main Irish | :11:22. | :11:32.
American inventor in Washington, he had an invite, his colleague Mary | :11:33. | :11:37.
Lou McDonald got him without hassle and Martin McGuinness was already | :11:38. | :11:43.
inside the Gerry Adams was told there was a security issue and he | :11:44. | :11:47.
had to wait for 90 minutes, eventually somebody texted him and | :11:48. | :11:53.
said President Obama had already spoken so he decided to leave. I | :11:54. | :11:59.
will speak to him later about that. We have also asked for a reaction | :12:00. | :12:02.
from the White House that have not heard anything back yet. | :12:03. | :12:06.
The GAA have accepted that the new Casement Park | :12:07. | :12:09.
in Belfast may not get the 38,000 capacity they wanted. | :12:10. | :12:11.
In a significant move today, they said they were working | :12:12. | :12:13.
on a new design, and would hold a lengthy public consultation before | :12:14. | :12:16.
?6 million has already been spent on the Casement Park project, much of | :12:17. | :12:31.
it on this new design for a 38,000 capacity stadium. Now the GAA is | :12:32. | :12:36.
having a rethink. Planning permission has been overturned, | :12:37. | :12:40.
concerns have been raised about safety and today the GAA official in | :12:41. | :12:45.
charge of the project promised changes, saying there would be an | :12:46. | :12:50.
entirely new process and that the capacity had not been predetermined. | :12:51. | :12:57.
He promised a 20 week consultation. It is believed this model will still | :12:58. | :13:03.
be the basis of the new design. A member of the Stormont committee | :13:04. | :13:06.
which has been scrutinising the project said today the GAA had | :13:07. | :13:11.
significantly soft and its position and he welcomed it. I think that is | :13:12. | :13:16.
progress, people need to be realistic about this. We cannot get | :13:17. | :13:21.
certification around the stadium with the capacity being talked about | :13:22. | :13:25.
without approval from Belfast City Council, without the statutory | :13:26. | :13:31.
agencies agreeing and expertise of the safety authorities, so I am glad | :13:32. | :13:37.
that is going to happen. Residents nearby will have their say. We | :13:38. | :13:42.
always felt consultation was lacking, especially the last time | :13:43. | :13:49.
there was no consultation, with all these meetings, but no meaningful | :13:50. | :13:53.
consultation where we had an input, we would like an input. There is a | :13:54. | :14:00.
lot riding on the new Casement. Ulster GAA want a new provincial | :14:01. | :14:06.
stadium. The Irish authorities are watching carefully to, as they want | :14:07. | :14:10.
Casement for their 2023 World Cup bid. But all those watching the | :14:11. | :14:18.
project will have to be patient. The planning process is slow and with no | :14:19. | :14:19.
guarantee of success. Still to come on the programme: | :14:20. | :14:23.

Rory 's! The Education Authority | :14:30. | :14:38.
is to suspend plans to cut in half the number of hours children spend | :14:39. | :14:40.
in nurseries in special schools, That review was requested | :14:41. | :14:43.
by the Education Minister John O'Dowd, who called | :14:44. | :14:52.
the EA's decision "flawed." They plan to reduce provision | :14:53. | :14:54.
from four and a half to two Our Education Correspondent | :14:55. | :14:57.
Robbie Meredith reports. These children at Tor Bank special | :14:58. | :15:01.
school spend two and a half But a plan by the Education | :15:02. | :15:03.
Authority to extend that to all special school nurseries led | :15:04. | :15:07.
to a rebuke by the Minister. They have to come forward with a | :15:08. | :15:21.
decisive position in relation to the future of special needs education in | :15:22. | :15:24.
the nursery sector but this decision is flawed. | :15:25. | :15:25.
Today, officials told a Stormont committee the plan was on hold. | :15:26. | :15:29.
Until the EA board has the information they require, we are not | :15:30. | :15:35.
moving forward with it. They were also quizzed | :15:36. | :15:39.
about whether the Minister had been informed of their | :15:40. | :15:41.
decision in advance. I cannot understand how the Minister | :15:42. | :15:49.
didn't know. Do you know how he did not know? You would have to ask the | :15:50. | :15:53.
Minister. Mr O'Dowd said he first learned | :15:54. | :15:55.
of the move when it was reported The body which represents many | :15:56. | :15:58.
special school principals says they want extensive consultation | :15:59. | :16:01.
during the review. I think you have to listen very | :16:02. | :16:14.
carefully to the children, to their parents, to the staff and to the | :16:15. | :16:17.
governors of each and every one of those schools. They know what is | :16:18. | :16:24.
best for the children and your responsibility is to provide the | :16:25. | :16:25.
best education for them. Education Authority officials also | :16:26. | :16:27.
told the committee the review would be carried out | :16:28. | :16:29.
within a short period of time. The appeal court in Belfast has | :16:30. | :16:32.
ruled that Stormont's Health Minister - not the UK | :16:33. | :16:35.
Health Secretary - should decide whether a lifetime ban | :16:36. | :16:37.
on gay men giving blood in Northern Ireland | :16:38. | :16:40.
should be lifted. In England, Scotland and Wales men | :16:41. | :16:42.
are allowed to give blood if they have not had | :16:43. | :16:45.
sex with another man The court dismissed an earlier | :16:46. | :16:47.
ruling that the former Health Minister Edwin Poots had | :16:48. | :16:51.
acted irrationally or with apparent And, by a 2-1 majority, | :16:52. | :16:55.
the judges said maintaining the lifetime ban was contrary | :16:56. | :17:01.
to European law. Ten years ago we revealed on BBC | :17:02. | :17:05.
Newsline that more than 300 patients were in Muckamore Abbey Hospital | :17:06. | :17:10.
who should have been living I've been to meet one of those | :17:11. | :17:13.
who've been resettled Joe McCartney was placed | :17:14. | :17:20.
in Muckamore in County Antrim He's almost 56 and this is the first | :17:21. | :17:23.
time Joe McCartney It's the first time he's | :17:24. | :17:31.
done his own laundry or had That's because he spent 53 years | :17:32. | :17:36.
living on a ward in Muckamore hospital, sent there | :17:37. | :17:40.
aged just three. They just put him in Muckamore Abbey | :17:41. | :17:46.
and he was there for Special care nursing is a discipline | :17:47. | :18:03.
and an art, demanding definite qualities. | :18:04. | :18:06.
He also had some behavioural problems. | :18:07. | :18:09.
His family say their mum was heartbroken but when she died | :18:10. | :18:11.
when Joe was nine, it was generally accepted that he stay there. | :18:12. | :18:14.
His family say it was a difficult life as Joe's problems seemed to get | :18:15. | :18:18.
It was a bit rough, Jo self harmed a lot. You wouldn't want to see his | :18:19. | :18:28.
scars. Every time we got a phone call | :18:29. | :18:31.
we thought that was it. We thought we would have | :18:32. | :18:34.
been taking him home. Life today, though, | :18:35. | :18:39.
is completely different. Since he moved out of Muckamore, | :18:40. | :18:44.
all of his self-harming has stopped. He shares this house | :18:45. | :18:47.
with three others - a supported housing scheme run | :18:48. | :18:48.
by the local health trust We weren't there 50 years ago | :18:49. | :18:51.
so we don't know what the motivation was but I suspect it was the best | :18:52. | :18:55.
thing at the time but with It's not the kind of thing that | :18:56. | :18:58.
would be acceptable nowadays. Joe's brother and sister now get | :18:59. | :19:03.
to visit every week instead of twice a month - a much closer | :19:04. | :19:07.
family connection. You know, he never | :19:08. | :19:11.
had all that before. He'd no life, that's the truth, | :19:12. | :19:16.
he'd no life in Muckamore As we were leaving, Joe made a card | :19:17. | :19:20.
to thank us for coming. His family are relieved to see him | :19:21. | :19:27.
happy and settled. But they, and the professionals | :19:28. | :19:29.
working with him, wonder if his life would have been different had he not | :19:30. | :19:32.
been sent to hospital That's lovely. Thank you so much, | :19:33. | :19:48.
that's beautiful. A much happier life for Joe. | :19:49. | :19:51.
On the day the Euro 2016 trophy came to town, | :19:52. | :19:53.
the Northern Ireland manager signed on the dotted line. | :19:54. | :19:55.
The European Championship trophy is on a tour of the some | :19:56. | :19:59.
of the countries which will play in the finals this summer. | :20:00. | :20:02.
By coincidence on the day it came to Belfast, Michael O'Neill signed | :20:03. | :20:06.
a new four-year contract to remain as Northern Ireland manager. | :20:07. | :20:09.
The conundrum for the IFA is if O'Neill has a successful | :20:10. | :20:13.
European Championships, can they hold on to his services? | :20:14. | :20:21.
He's guided his team to a first major tournament in 30 years. | :20:22. | :20:26.
Today Michael O'Neill signed a new four-year contract | :20:27. | :20:28.
That means if a club want O'Neill as their manager, | :20:29. | :20:34.
and the compensation figure is agreed, O'Neill could leave. | :20:35. | :20:38.
One thing football has taught me is never to plan too far ahead. There | :20:39. | :20:44.
is flexibility in the contract but might only priority is to develop | :20:45. | :20:50.
these players and hopefully continue to do a good job. What does | :20:51. | :20:57.
flexibility mean? It means in terms of the contract, if a club wants to | :20:58. | :21:01.
avail of my services they will have to avail -- negotiate with the IFA. | :21:02. | :21:14.
The only difficulty is the focus. It is not unusual to have compensation | :21:15. | :21:18.
clauses Elton, Michael is protected, we are protected but he has signed | :21:19. | :21:23.
for four years, we are looking forward to working with them. | :21:24. | :21:30.
Compensation clause is interesting, what is that amount? We will not | :21:31. | :21:37.
talk about amounts in anyone's contract, my clause or anyone's, but | :21:38. | :21:41.
those are normal in the football world. | :21:42. | :21:42.
Today the European Championship trophy was in Belfast and one former | :21:43. | :21:45.
Liverpool player and manager believes O'Neill could be hot | :21:46. | :21:47.
If you wish to go to France in the summer and Northern Ireland put a | :21:48. | :22:00.
good show on, by that I mean being organised, maybe getting draws | :22:01. | :22:03.
against some big teams, he would create a lot of interest. | :22:04. | :22:05.
It's the price of success, but if clubs are talking | :22:06. | :22:08.
about your manager, then it's not necessarily a bad thing - | :22:09. | :22:11.
especially if you've signed a new four-year deal. | :22:12. | :22:14.
The manager has called two new faces into the squad for the friendlies | :22:15. | :22:17.
against Wales and Slovenia later this month, Peterborough United | :22:18. | :22:20.
defender Michael Smith and QPR striker Conor Washington | :22:21. | :22:23.
After he rode a hat trick of winners yesterday and at Cheltenham, | :22:24. | :22:29.
which the bookmakers didn't enjoy very much, | :22:30. | :22:31.
Ruby Walsh followed up today with just one more victory. | :22:32. | :22:35.
He took the honours in the opening race of the day, winning the Novices | :22:36. | :22:39.
But he had to settle for second place in the big race of the day as | :22:40. | :22:55.
the Nicky Henderson trained horse romped to victory. | :22:56. | :22:57.
When Cushendall go to Croke Park tomorrow to try to win their first | :22:58. | :23:00.
All-Ireland club title, their hurlers will have the backing | :23:01. | :23:02.
of Holywood - California that is, not County Down. | :23:03. | :23:04.
Liam Neeson is one A-list celebrity who'll be cheering on the Ruairi Ogs | :23:05. | :23:07.
when they take on Na Piarsaigh of Limerick. | :23:08. | :23:09.
He's even appeared in a promotional video made by the men | :23:10. | :23:12.
Bring the trophy home, boys. Up the Ruairis! I wonder who this will go | :23:13. | :23:26.
to next. Tomorrow's match in Croke Park | :23:27. | :23:28.
is extra special for one Cushendall's star player | :23:29. | :23:30.
Neil McManus and his father Hugh, who is recovering from a heart | :23:31. | :23:33.
attack, make the trip knowing they have medical science | :23:34. | :23:36.
and a good neighbour to thank. It's a walk they thought they might | :23:37. | :23:50.
never take again, a few months ago when Hugh McManus became unwell and | :23:51. | :23:56.
ambulance was 45 minutes away. A phone call from his son and a fast | :23:57. | :24:03.
responder intervened. The first responder sat with me and we had a | :24:04. | :24:07.
conversation and he had his differ but later and I then had a cardiac | :24:08. | :24:14.
arrest, and the person looked after me and got me sorted out until the | :24:15. | :24:20.
ambulance arrived. The first responder service is vital to world | :24:21. | :24:25.
communities who live that distance away from a emergency services. You | :24:26. | :24:30.
have about a three or four minute window between cardiac arrest and | :24:31. | :24:35.
needing to be different related. Without that service we would have | :24:36. | :24:41.
an empty chair at our dinner table. Father and son are now trained in | :24:42. | :24:48.
administering CPR. We know that out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, | :24:49. | :24:52.
there are 1400 and Northern Ireland but less than 10% survive because | :24:53. | :24:58.
people do not know how to do CPR at the time of the collapse, so we are | :24:59. | :25:03.
encouraging people to learn how to do work and hopefully save lives. It | :25:04. | :25:10.
puts forth in, ahead of tomorrow's All-Ireland final, they already have | :25:11. | :25:16.
reason to be tactful -- in perspective. | :25:17. | :25:18.
Ryan Farquhar will ride a factory Superbike for the Tyco BMW team | :25:19. | :25:20.
Now with the weather forecast, here's Cecilia. | :25:21. | :25:31.
No complaints this week, look at that for a picture. This is White | :25:32. | :25:39.
Rock speech this morning, a lot of places had a slow start but we got | :25:40. | :25:43.
there eventually, most places saw some sunshine and on that satellite | :25:44. | :25:48.
sequence you can see the cloud being nibbled at, but the best of the | :25:49. | :25:54.
sunshine over Donegal, up towards the north coast and parts of the | :25:55. | :25:58.
West, where we saw temperatures of 11 or 12. We will see something | :25:59. | :26:03.
similar tomorrow but hopefully the sun will be out quicker. Tonight | :26:04. | :26:08.
will get cold again in parts of the West, temperatures dropping to | :26:09. | :26:14.
around 2 degrees. There will be a mix of mist, fog and low cloud, so | :26:15. | :26:18.
to begin Thursday it will be great and misty but it should get sunnier | :26:19. | :26:24.
at the day was on. A lot of people will be of so maybe having a light | :26:25. | :26:29.
in in the morning. Mid-morning onwards we will see that greatness | :26:30. | :26:36.
being nibbled away and in Belfast tomorrow afternoon it looks decent | :26:37. | :26:39.
for the Carnival, temperatures around 10 degrees, plenty of dry | :26:40. | :26:45.
weather and sunshine. Temperatures generally tomorrow afternoon should | :26:46. | :26:51.
hit ten or 11 but in a few spots it will be cooler, maybe nine or 10 | :26:52. | :26:57.
degrees. The average for this time of year is nine, so with sunshine | :26:58. | :27:00.
and light winds it will still feel pleasant and it is a big sporting | :27:01. | :27:07.
date for schools so looks good for the finals in Belfast. Tomorrow we | :27:08. | :27:13.
will hold onto clear skies so it will get cold and chilly, with areas | :27:14. | :27:20.
of frost to begin on Friday. For the rest of the week, we still have | :27:21. | :27:23.
pressure and light winds, Friday starting off cloud, gets off cloud | :27:24. | :27:29.
and sunshine, the weekend looking largely dry but maybe a little bit | :27:30. | :27:35.
cooler. Now, in our earlier story about the gay blood case we had said | :27:36. | :27:42.
the judge said the lifetime ban was contrary to European law but we | :27:43. | :27:46.
should have said that the judge | :27:47. | :27:48. |
