Fares on public transport won't be getting more expensive this year.

Translink have announced a freeze on their bus,

coach and rail service for the next year.

There was a big jump in prices last year.

There is good news today because Translink have decided

We have decided to freeze it, which is good news

How will you make that up without raising fares?

Obviously fares is one element, and also how we are funded

Investing in public transport is really important

and it is a vital link for a lot of communities in Northern Ireland,

as well as adding to the economy and supporting the environment.

I hope that this price freeze will encourage more consumers and

shoppers to use public transport when they are getting to and from

city centres. And passengers seemed to be pleased

with the news. We don't get the bus very often but I think they are fine

as they are. Do you like the train or the bus better? The train.

Sometimes money and Tommy just go. I think they are a bit expensive. It

doesn't really encourage you to take the bus. That is dead on. I doubt

they would put them back up again. They are played to them. Thank you.

the investment is long overdue. The grant will pay for 27 projects

in all, with work beginning For some strange reason, it's never

captured the imagination of people. It never got the interest from

Government that it should have. Hopefully that will do this.

The funding will be delivered over the next five years,

but those behind the project hope that will make Lough Neagh a place

we can all enjoy for much longer than that.

government-organised centenary commemoration event this weekend.

A military parade, the largest in the history of the state,

will pass through the streets of the capital on Sunday.

Hundreds of meetings were held and thousands of events have been

which includes every type of opinion, which is wonderful.

With the latest weather forecast for the weekend,

We started Good Friday off on a lovely note, plenty of clear blue

skies. But as we go through the day, it has become increasingly cloudy.

The breed has started to pick up and as we go through this evening, it's

going to get wet. This weather fund is going to move its way into night

and could bring ten or 15 millimetres of rain. The

temperatures will stay on the mild side. This morning we'll start of

clear -- we started off clear and tomorrow will be very different.

Even once it is gone, we are not out of the woods because behind it there

are some pretty pokey showers appearing during Saturday afternoon.

The temperatures are down by a couple of degrees and today's

values, so we will see highs of nine or 10 degrees, which is pretty much

what we should expect from this time of year. Sunday will be cooler. A

reasonably chilly night and the clerks will go forward by an hour in

the small hours. There will be some darker mornings and late evenings to

come. It's going to feel like we had that the calendar forward by the

month. A bit of a feel of April showers and perhaps some hail and

thunder in the mix. It's really not the best show in terms of the

weather but used it began but I'm sure you will make the most of it
