Mediterranean in the search for the missing | :00:00. | :00:13.
And these are the headlines this Friday evening. | :00:14. | :00:19.
Why one of the youngest members of the Assembly could | :00:20. | :00:22.
be in the running to become Justice Minister. | :00:23. | :00:26.
Brendan Rodgers from Carnlough is the new manager of | :00:27. | :00:28.
The mother of a teenager killed by drugs is left distraught | :00:29. | :00:34.
75 years of tobacco production in Ballymena draws to an end, | :00:35. | :00:42.
as workers leave the factory for the last time. | :00:43. | :00:46.
It's a crunch night for Ulster rugby as they travel to take on Leinster | :00:47. | :00:58.
in the forecast this weekend, but it's not a complete washout. | :00:59. | :01:03.
An independent Unionist Assembly Member has said she would consider | :01:04. | :01:13.
taking the job of Justice Minister if offered it. | :01:14. | :01:17.
Claire Sugden, who's one of Stormont's youngest elected | :01:18. | :01:22.
members, met the First and Deputy First | :01:23. | :01:25.
Our political correspondent, Gareth Gordon, explains why | :01:26. | :01:31.
she is in the frame for this important post | :01:32. | :01:33.
This is Claire Sugden, with her fiance, on the day | :01:34. | :01:38.
she got elected as an MLA earlier this month. | :01:39. | :01:41.
So, how can you go from relative obscurity to potential Justice | :01:42. | :01:43.
It says a lot about Stormont where this sensitive post has | :01:44. | :01:51.
been held, up to now, by the cross-community | :01:52. | :01:53.
They look like turning it down, so, an alternative may | :01:54. | :01:58.
Claire Sugden was invited to a meeting | :01:59. | :02:01.
If she was to take the job, she knows already something | :02:02. | :02:24.
of the pressures faced by some of the people under | :02:25. | :02:27.
I remember once getting a telephone concession we would have to go to a | :02:28. | :02:38.
safe house. We didn't go, thankfully it wasn't necessary, but it was a | :02:39. | :02:42.
real threat. The worrying side was that was normality for family and | :02:43. | :02:46.
families across Northern Ireland. with whom she'd have to | :02:47. | :02:47.
work closely. This House of Cards is falling, and | :02:48. | :02:59.
the only good double come is if those at the top come crashing down | :03:00. | :03:01.
to do not up again. But, today, someone who's part | :03:02. | :03:03.
of the Stormont hierarchy She has the skills and ability, she | :03:04. | :03:15.
is someone we have been speaking to. We have had a good discussion with | :03:16. | :03:20.
her yesterday. It is a discussion we will continue one option we will | :03:21. | :03:22.
continue to do consider and discuss. The man who yesterday | :03:23. | :03:26.
announced his party is going into opposition believes the DUP | :03:27. | :03:28.
and Sinn Fein should take I think we are beyond the point | :03:29. | :03:39.
where these two parties need to get somebody from outside of the | :03:40. | :03:42.
executive to do that job. I think it is a disgrace, it is an issue of | :03:43. | :03:44.
their own making. Arlene Foster has ruled out | :03:45. | :03:45.
Sinn Fein taking the job. Would they have the same | :03:46. | :03:47.
problem with the DUP. I am not going to rise to these | :03:48. | :04:01.
suggestions or put downs. We have a job of work to do, that is what we | :04:02. | :04:03.
were elected to do. Stormont's credibility is once | :04:04. | :04:04.
more under scrutiny. Gareth Gordon, BBC | :04:05. | :04:12.
Newsline, Belfast. Brendan Rodgers is the new manager | :04:13. | :04:14.
of Celtic Football Club. The Carnlough man, who is a lifelong | :04:15. | :04:18.
Celtic fan, was in Scotland Chris McLaughlin, senior football | :04:19. | :04:21.
reporter from BBC Scotland, spoke was a good fit for the club, | :04:22. | :04:25.
and Rodgers himself. I suppose only time will tell but | :04:26. | :04:40.
Celtic fans were looking for a big-name after the experiment of | :04:41. | :04:45.
Ronny Deila which failed. They certainly have one, a man with | :04:46. | :04:49.
English premiership pedigree, he took Swansea to the top flight, he | :04:50. | :04:55.
led Liverpool to second in the table. It is certainly seen as | :04:56. | :04:59.
something of a coup for Celtic. Brendan Rodgers has said it is an | :05:00. | :05:03.
honour, he has followed Celtic all his life and wants to give fans a | :05:04. | :05:08.
team to be proud of, and bring exciting, entertaining and winning | :05:09. | :05:13.
football. The chief Executive said, we wanted to bring a man to the club | :05:14. | :05:20.
to match our own aspirations. Those aspirations will be to get Celtic | :05:21. | :05:24.
back into the Champions League. They have missed out in the past two | :05:25. | :05:30.
years. Celtic will be looking to get back into the top table. What | :05:31. | :05:35.
details have you got on his contract? | :05:36. | :05:40.
A 12 month rolling contract. Some may think that is a short contract. | :05:41. | :05:45.
It is fairly standard. Gordon Strachan, Gordon Lennon, were both | :05:46. | :05:52.
on 12 month rolling contracts. It remains to be seen how long Brendan | :05:53. | :05:57.
Rodgers will remain. Also, given Celtic do not have the millions and | :05:58. | :06:03.
millions that Liverpool have, he would need some assurance from the | :06:04. | :06:06.
board he will have the kind of money he would like to take Celtic back to | :06:07. | :06:11.
the Champions League. That remains to be seen over the summer. | :06:12. | :06:15.
The grieving mother of a teenager who died from drugs has spoken | :06:16. | :06:18.
of her great distress at seeing how his photo is being | :06:19. | :06:20.
Adam Owens was 17 when he passed away last year | :06:21. | :06:25.
His mother Adele released his picture to the media to warn other | :06:26. | :06:32.
young people of the dangers of such drugs. | :06:33. | :06:35.
She told our reporter Lisa McAlister what followed. | :06:36. | :06:41.
It's been a year of firsts for Adele Wallace. | :06:42. | :06:44.
And, just last month, the first anniversary of his death. | :06:45. | :06:54.
While trying to cope with that, she came across an article on a US | :06:55. | :06:57.
website which used a picture of Adam, and wrongly described him | :06:58. | :07:01.
as being from upstate New York, and dying as a result of a new drug | :07:02. | :07:05.
craze involving anti-diaorrhea medication. | :07:06. | :07:11.
To be honest, it really put me right down, seriously depressed. Everyday | :07:12. | :07:20.
is a tough day for me if I am honest. To come across an article | :07:21. | :07:25.
like that which was so unjustified and wrong, it has upset me so much. | :07:26. | :07:27.
I nearly lost the to live. It did take down Adam's picture | :07:28. | :07:30.
and any reference to him. The website did not respond when we | :07:31. | :07:40.
asked for a comment. But, by then, it had been shared | :07:41. | :07:45.
and viewed hundreds and hundreds of times by a number | :07:46. | :07:48.
of other sites and users. It also became a target | :07:49. | :07:50.
for so-called Some I would not repeat on, because | :07:51. | :07:55.
they are so sexually perverted and disgusting. They were horrific, | :07:56. | :08:03.
disgusting and filthy comments. Other people were like, if you take | :08:04. | :08:09.
drugs, you deserve to die, and insensitive. | :08:10. | :08:11.
Some people will say, some will be nasty. Some of the behaviour of the | :08:12. | :08:16.
individuals who have copied this image and shared it, is mirrored in | :08:17. | :08:21.
the comments they have made around issues to do with sexuality, gender, | :08:22. | :08:27.
closely linked with hate crime. Some could have committed criminal | :08:28. | :08:30.
offences. On one social networking site, the | :08:31. | :08:34.
original article is still available and has been shared by at least 24 | :08:35. | :08:45.
users. Despite the distress, Adele says she will continue campaigning | :08:46. | :08:47.
to raise awareness about the dangers of all drugs. | :08:48. | :08:48.
How money from the Big Lottery is helping children with sight loss | :08:49. | :08:52.
For the last 75 years, workers have produced | :08:53. | :09:03.
cigarettes and other tobacco products in Ballymena. | :09:04. | :09:06.
The closure of the Gallahers JTI factory begins today, | :09:07. | :09:09.
with the last shift for the majority of the 870 | :09:10. | :09:12.
Our reporter, David Maxwell, has spent the day in the town. | :09:13. | :09:20.
They have known this day was coming for over a year and a half, but that | :09:21. | :09:26.
did not make leaving for the last time any easier. | :09:27. | :09:33.
A lot of people are very sad. And some people are looking forward to a | :09:34. | :09:36.
new chapter in their lives. Basically, it is a sad thing for | :09:37. | :09:39.
Ballymena. You can understand with what it is | :09:40. | :09:45.
like at the moment. It is a tragedy for the local economy. And everybody | :09:46. | :09:49.
is very upset. So sad it is closing and with The | :09:50. | :09:56.
Young Ones coming up. I hope something takes the place to give | :09:57. | :10:03.
jobs to people. Between 500 and 600 people left the | :10:04. | :10:06.
plant this week, under 200 will remain as the factory is rundown. It | :10:07. | :10:10.
will close for good next spring. After decades of production, | :10:11. | :10:15.
cigarette manufacturing stopped at this factory at 9pm yesterday. Some | :10:16. | :10:21.
products will still be made for the next few months, but large-scale | :10:22. | :10:24.
tobacco manufacturing has now finished in Northern Ireland. Most | :10:25. | :10:28.
people still call this plant Gallahers JTI, but it was taken over | :10:29. | :10:35.
by JTI in 2007. JTI has been an excellent employer | :10:36. | :10:39.
in the area over the years of providing many jobs to generations | :10:40. | :10:45.
of families. When people got a job at JTI, it was considered a job for | :10:46. | :10:47.
life. The company says the illegal trade | :10:48. | :10:52.
in cigarettes, excise duty and the new plain packaging laws which came | :10:53. | :10:56.
into force today, all played a part in meaning it had to stop its County | :10:57. | :11:00.
Antrim operations. Ballymena has been no stranger to job losses in | :11:01. | :11:04.
recent times. It is going to be a huge blow, the | :11:05. | :11:08.
first of many. We have Michelin coming down the line. The physical | :11:09. | :11:14.
closure of JTI will be next year, 117 five until May next year. | :11:15. | :11:23.
-- 175. Some believe there could be good news ahead of this site. | :11:24. | :11:27.
It is my understanding that talks are well advanced for the sale of | :11:28. | :11:31.
the JTI factory site, there could be some good news on the horizon. JTI | :11:32. | :11:38.
was keen to retain a manufacturing legacy on that site. | :11:39. | :11:41.
There was no confirmation and other manufacturer will move here and it | :11:42. | :11:44.
will be sometime before the full impact of these job losses is known. | :11:45. | :11:49.
What is certain is that these lorries laden with cigarettes are | :11:50. | :11:50.
the last. Families who care for adults | :11:51. | :11:58.
with learning disabilities in the Western Trust area | :11:59. | :12:00.
are demanding an independent investigation into why millions | :12:01. | :12:02.
of pounds, that should have been spent providing them with care, | :12:03. | :12:05.
was instead spent on other services. Politicians met the trust today, | :12:06. | :12:07.
and were told that the underfunding Our south-west reporter, | :12:08. | :12:10.
Julian Fowler, has been speaking Caroline Wheeler is a full-time | :12:11. | :12:13.
carer for her 31-year-old son Lee Looking after him 24/7 | :12:14. | :12:19.
has taken its toll. It is the hardest job, 24/7 care. | :12:20. | :12:38.
Having a newborn baby, you hold that child in your hands until somebody | :12:39. | :12:41.
responsible that you trust means you can let go. | :12:42. | :12:44.
But, getting that care has been a fight that even involved | :12:45. | :12:46.
taking judicial reviews against the Western Trust. | :12:47. | :12:54.
When he left school, that was the hardest point. I thought five years | :12:55. | :13:01.
with the trust Krachunov fought five years for a payment but it put me in | :13:02. | :13:06.
the grave. This battle of wills to get a | :13:07. | :13:10.
service that is supposed to be there on paper but on the ground it isn't. | :13:11. | :13:15.
It is he who shouts the loudest. For years, parents have been told | :13:16. | :13:17.
there wasn't enough funding. But a review of the Western Trust | :13:18. | :13:19.
by the Health And Social Care Board identified underfunding | :13:20. | :13:23.
of ?8 million in one year, money which should have been | :13:24. | :13:25.
spent in adult learning disability services, | :13:26. | :13:27.
but was allocated instead It doesn't come as a shock to me. | :13:28. | :13:40.
Any time we asked for any help, the trust had the same excuse, we have | :13:41. | :13:44.
no money. We have been asking for ages where is the money going? They | :13:45. | :13:49.
could never come up with any answers. | :13:50. | :13:49.
Carers say it has caused a decimation in services | :13:50. | :13:51.
We have missed out on things that have been happening in other trusts, | :13:52. | :14:03.
we have missed out on day care, direct payments, missed out | :14:04. | :14:08.
particularly on availability of social workers and community workers | :14:09. | :14:11.
and specialists behavioural people who can provide the services we | :14:12. | :14:12.
need. The Western Trust hasn't revealed | :14:13. | :14:13.
the total underfunding. But MLAs were briefed | :14:14. | :14:15.
at Altnagelvin today, and were told that a ?4.4 million | :14:16. | :14:17.
underspend was first I am surprised in 1996 when it was | :14:18. | :14:27.
clearly identified it wasn't actioned then. But we are aware of | :14:28. | :14:31.
it now and you can rest assured all the political parties are working in | :14:32. | :14:35.
unison to get it sorted. What we need to know and the public | :14:36. | :14:40.
need to ascertain is what happened, when it happened, and how it should | :14:41. | :14:46.
have been corrected, by who and when. | :14:47. | :14:50.
Carers are demanding that the service they demanded is now fully | :14:51. | :14:51.
restored. This week, we've been looking | :14:52. | :14:55.
at Northern Ireland's Islamic community, from our young Muslims, | :14:56. | :14:57.
to Sunni and Shia In some countries, Islam is seen | :14:58. | :14:59.
as a male-dominated culture. In the final part of this series, | :15:00. | :15:03.
Rick Faragher has been to meet two women living here who are from very | :15:04. | :15:06.
different backgrounds. Successful. Female. And Muslim. | :15:07. | :15:19.
A professor of medicine in Cairo. After moving here 15 years ago, she | :15:20. | :15:23.
struggled to adapt. I spent some time at home, for the | :15:24. | :15:28.
children to settle in the school. After a few months, I started to | :15:29. | :15:34.
look, it wasn't me to sit at home and be satisfied by only looking | :15:35. | :15:38.
after the house and children. Some people believe Islam is | :15:39. | :15:42.
oppressive to women, what do you say to them? | :15:43. | :15:46.
I would say, you are wrong. Because you are trying to stereotype Muslim | :15:47. | :15:55.
women in one frame which is a woman behind a veil, voiceless, dependent | :15:56. | :16:01.
on other people, all she knows in life is marriage and children. This | :16:02. | :16:06.
is not reality. We are human beings, a mixture of things. Religion is a | :16:07. | :16:10.
big part but there are other parts of people which affects them. | :16:11. | :16:15.
Is it difficult being a Muslim woman in Northern Ireland? | :16:16. | :16:22.
There are very unusual occasions, in the street, people look at you as a | :16:23. | :16:26.
stranger. This is excused, because I look different. In my country, I | :16:27. | :16:32.
feel if I see a foreigner I would look at him. | :16:33. | :16:35.
The culture and appearance of Muslim women changes from country to | :16:36. | :16:40.
country. Some wear headscarves as a form of modesty. Somewhere full body | :16:41. | :16:45.
garments. While others don't observe any special dress rules. | :16:46. | :16:50.
I am happy to be identified and defined as a Muslim. I still love | :16:51. | :16:55.
fashion, picking out nice clothes, feeling feminine. But, for me, the | :16:56. | :17:01.
covering is something that keeps modesty will stop Brenda converted | :17:02. | :17:05.
to Islam 15 years ago. She is now secretary of a local | :17:06. | :17:10.
Muslim Association. When I find that Muslims actually | :17:11. | :17:18.
believed in the oneness of God, the stories of profits, Abraham, Noah, I | :17:19. | :17:22.
was drawn to it. One of my immediate reaction is was, that is ours, | :17:23. | :17:27.
whether Catholic or Protestant all Christians, that was my Association. | :17:28. | :17:39.
We remain as a family a close-knit family. But with different values | :17:40. | :17:45.
and beliefs. Even a Muslim family where one family is stricter than | :17:46. | :17:51.
another, that clash can happen. It is my preference for men and | :17:52. | :17:54.
women to pray separately, as a Muslim. And as a woman. Because we | :17:55. | :18:01.
pray in rows quite close to one another, there is a prescribed way. | :18:02. | :18:06.
We stand shoulder-to-shoulder, we bow, in frustration with our head on | :18:07. | :18:10.
the ground. If the room is packed, you can bang into the woman in front | :18:11. | :18:17.
of you behind. If that was then, it would become very difficult and | :18:18. | :18:22.
uncomfortable. Islam is seen by some as a man's | :18:23. | :18:28.
world, but not by these local Muslim women who say they are empowered, | :18:29. | :18:30.
and liberated by their faith. A project that helps blind children | :18:31. | :18:36.
who go to mainstream schools has got almost ?700,000 from the Big | :18:37. | :18:39.
Lottery. The scheme is called Family Insight, | :18:40. | :18:44.
and is run by the RNIB Our education correspondent, Robbie | :18:45. | :18:46.
Meredith, has been finding out. Like her P3 classmates | :18:47. | :18:54.
at Lisnasharragh Primary School in Belfast, Sala-Joy | :18:55. | :18:56.
is hard at work. First, we did spellings, and next we | :18:57. | :19:11.
did, we listened to a movie, and then we did group work on that. | :19:12. | :19:13.
But she is blind, which brings many challenges. | :19:14. | :19:19.
A very simple thing because she can't see, she can't read, can't see | :19:20. | :19:25.
the board, it has been important to have a one on one classroom | :19:26. | :19:27.
assistant. Her school has also | :19:28. | :19:27.
been taught a lot. Even in terms of after-school | :19:28. | :19:36.
activities, making sure she is comfortable in the playground, in | :19:37. | :19:39.
the canteen. Those are things we have had to address and consider. | :19:40. | :19:41.
There are over 2,000 blind and partially-sighted children | :19:42. | :19:46.
Many go to mainstream schools like this, and the inspectorate says | :19:47. | :19:51.
that provision for them is generally very good. | :19:52. | :19:52.
But an organisation which represents parents of blind children, | :19:53. | :19:54.
and will benefit from this grant, says that | :19:55. | :19:56.
there's still a need for more support. | :19:57. | :20:04.
They want their child to do their best educationally. What our job is, | :20:05. | :20:12.
we come in and tell them what services are available, for their | :20:13. | :20:14.
children. As a result of the funding, | :20:15. | :20:15.
they now employ a full-time And, though she's at the start | :20:16. | :20:18.
of her school journey, Sala-Joy already knows | :20:19. | :20:21.
where she wants it to end. What do you to be when you get | :20:22. | :20:31.
older, have you anything you would like to do or be? | :20:32. | :20:34.
I have longing to be a teacher. But, first, the big | :20:35. | :20:38.
rugby match tonight. Win or lose in Dublin, it will be an | :20:39. | :20:52.
evening which will define Ulster's season. | :20:53. | :20:53.
Yes, crunch time in under an hour at the RDS in Dublin. | :20:54. | :20:56.
Leinster versus Ulster in the first of the two Pro12 | :20:57. | :20:58.
Gavin Andrews is there for BBC Newsline. | :20:59. | :21:04.
No waiting has ever won a Pro12 semifinal. Former Ulster back Ryan | :21:05. | :21:12.
Constable, they are up against it tonight? | :21:13. | :21:19.
Leinster, not their first, they are used to delivering in big games, it | :21:20. | :21:22.
is a final, they know what is at stake, it difficult is a | :21:23. | :21:25.
proposition. They are in good form. | :21:26. | :21:29.
Form and momentum, they inflicted a heavy defeat on Leinster. They will | :21:30. | :21:35.
take that confidence into this game. And that series of games where they | :21:36. | :21:38.
have delivered where they needed. They will need to perform on the | :21:39. | :21:41.
night. What are the key areas, can Ulster | :21:42. | :21:45.
do it? It is up fright, tight five, | :21:46. | :21:50.
delivering a stable platform, the set piece, the strike power is out | :21:51. | :21:56.
wide. It will be confrontational, physical. It is a semifinal, | :21:57. | :22:01.
bragging rights at stake. One step closer to that trophy -- closer. | :22:02. | :22:09.
Live coverage on BBC Two from 7:30pm. I will be watching! | :22:10. | :22:13.
Rory McIlroy, who's never won his home tournament, | :22:14. | :22:15.
remains in contention during the second round | :22:16. | :22:17.
of the Irish Open at the K Club in County Kildare. | :22:18. | :22:19.
The man to beat right now is the current Masters | :22:20. | :22:22.
It was a day when Rory McIlroy saved his best till last. | :22:23. | :22:33.
COMMENTATOR: What a way to finish. In front of adoring fans. What had | :22:34. | :22:38.
gone before wasn't too bad either, five birdies in total. Within one | :22:39. | :22:43.
shot of the leaders, Danny Willett and Marc Warren, going into the | :22:44. | :22:46.
weekend, perfect progression ahead of a big night out. | :22:47. | :22:53.
Tonight, Ulster, a big game. I am going to go. It will be tough | :22:54. | :22:58.
playing Leinster at home. They have been on a nice run of form over the | :22:59. | :23:02.
past couple of months. It will be great to see Ulster beat Leinster in | :23:03. | :23:07.
the own backyard. All Graeme McDowell would like to | :23:08. | :23:11.
see is the ball drop into the hole. A frustrating day. Seven shots | :23:12. | :23:16.
adrift but it could be worse. I was thinking I would get a couple | :23:17. | :23:20.
of days off if I kept playing that way. I managed to dig deep. The 18th | :23:21. | :23:28.
hole was the kick I needed. And started to scramble well. | :23:29. | :23:32.
Not the day overnight leader Danny Willett wanted either. The Masters | :23:33. | :23:36.
champion firmly in the sights of the tournament host. | :23:37. | :23:39.
This Sunday, Derry and Tyrone meet for the fifth time this season. | :23:40. | :23:42.
Up for grabs is a place in the semi-final of | :23:43. | :23:44.
the Ulster Senior Football Championship. | :23:45. | :23:46.
The previous four encounters have all resulted in wins for Tyrone, | :23:47. | :23:48.
COMMENTATOR: Barton is in there. He pushes him. A rivalry which used | :23:49. | :24:05.
to define the Ulster championships and on the evidence of the Cup final | :24:06. | :24:10.
the edge is still there. Tyrone won that day. Sunday is a different ball | :24:11. | :24:14.
game. I have learned with age perhaps and | :24:15. | :24:19.
experience, the Ulster championships is about more than Derry and Tyrone. | :24:20. | :24:24.
We have to look at ourselves, our systems, and try and get them to | :24:25. | :24:29.
focus not on the event of playing Tyrone, or anyone else for that | :24:30. | :24:32.
matter, but certainly what we think are going to be the things that will | :24:33. | :24:35.
give us victory. From the opposing camp comes a | :24:36. | :24:38.
similar outlook. Well, rivalry to me is the | :24:39. | :24:43.
difference between Tyrone and Derry, Tyrone and any of our neighbours. We | :24:44. | :24:48.
are a county with lots of neighbours, and with neighbours who | :24:49. | :24:53.
live close to you, rivalry increases, intensity increases. To | :24:54. | :24:57.
me it is no different than any of the derby matches at any time. | :24:58. | :25:07.
A decade ago, Derry overcame them in their own backyard. Should history | :25:08. | :25:09.
repeat itself, it will be an upset. Sunday's game is live | :25:10. | :25:11.
on BBC Two, from 1:50pm. Belfast has won the bid to host | :25:12. | :25:13.
the World Ice Hockey Championships, after a vote at the sport's | :25:14. | :25:16.
international congress in Moscow. The SSE Arena will host | :25:17. | :25:19.
the Division 1B tournament, which will see six countries compete | :25:20. | :25:21.
next April, including Team Great Britain, | :25:22. | :25:23.
and Northern Ireland. Finally, this evening, | :25:24. | :25:24.
Paddy Barnes has been His corner stool collapsed, | :25:25. | :25:26.
and poor Paddy hit the canvas. It has ended up wet today with more | :25:27. | :25:51.
rain this weekend. The rain has affected the K Club, the open, and | :25:52. | :25:56.
it will be damp for the Ulster match this evening. Not a bad evening to | :25:57. | :26:02.
sit in and watch it. More rain for another few hours. It will ease away | :26:03. | :26:07.
briefly because, towards the end of the night, there will be heavy and | :26:08. | :26:11.
potentially boundary rain from the south. Not a cold night but if you | :26:12. | :26:16.
are at early there could be some thundery showers. Some mini | :26:17. | :26:21.
downpours in places. A lot of water on the roads, possibly some | :26:22. | :26:24.
localised flooding. That area of rain will move away by the end of | :26:25. | :26:29.
the morning. Much time is looking drier and brighter. In the sun, it | :26:30. | :26:33.
will warm up, temperatures around lunchtime in many places up to 15 | :26:34. | :26:37.
degrees. The afternoon will be the drier half | :26:38. | :26:43.
of the day. Not completely dry. Once temperatures rise, we will see | :26:44. | :26:48.
another fresh spring thing of showers breaking out, which could be | :26:49. | :26:51.
sharp. Compared to the early morning, it won't be as wet. By the | :26:52. | :26:57.
end of the day, many cases will be dry with warm sunshine, tempters up | :26:58. | :27:02.
to 17 degrees. Warm in County Kildare tomorrow, | :27:03. | :27:06.
temperatures hitting 18. And the risk of thundery showers. | :27:07. | :27:12.
The weather will be cooler, fresher and drier on Sunday. Still a few | :27:13. | :27:18.
showers but not heavy. A fresh afternoon in Celtic Park for | :27:19. | :27:22.
the match with the risk of one or two showers but hopefully more drier | :27:23. | :27:25.
weather. More dry weather is on the cards in | :27:26. | :27:29.
the new week, high-pressure arriving. Driver the beginning of | :27:30. | :27:34.
next week. Heavy showers all especially tomorrow. | :27:35. | :27:36.
