A plane carrying holiday-makers to Greece

from Belfast International Airport has had to return after it was

with the aim of getting the plane on its way to Greece once more.

The County Antrim village of Carnlough has been reacting

to the appointment of a local hero as the new manager of Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers's family and friends in the area said they are delighted

Brendan Rodgers left Carlough when he was 16 and they missed him.

When he left Liverpool last October they were watching

in the County Antrim village but they kept faith

At his cousin's house just above the village the Celtic

Five men from a Dublin family appeared in Newry Magistrates' Court

today accused of a one-day burglary spree in the city.

Ned, Martin, Michael, Johnny and Joseph Cash,

whose ages range between 33 to 18 and from Kilmore Road in Dublin,

face five charges of burglary on May the 18th and a further charge of

going equipped for theft on May the 19th.

The court heard the cases relate to incidents in

Portadown, Armagh and Newtonhamilton.

Gardai in Dublin are continuing to question three men in connection

with the murder of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel

The men, aged in their 50s and 30s, are being held at Swords, Raheny

Mr Byrne from Raleigh Square in Crumlin

was shot dead on 6th of February as part of an ongoing feud

between two criminal gangs which has resulted in the deaths of six men.

Army bomb experts have made safe a wartime shell

Ireland, temperatures will be around average for the timing you fear. For

Northern Ireland because the 17 degrees inland but cooler and fresh

on the coasts and one or two thunderstorms by the end of the day.

It could give us another noisy end. Further west, it'll be a drier

picture with a more in the way of sunshine. As for Monday we hold onto

a northerly wind. Down through the East Coast as well, 12 or 13 degrees

at best. Inland, 15, maybe 16 degrees. We may see the odd

scattered shower here across parts of Fermanagh and Tyrone. It will

stay that way as we go into Tuesday with plenty of dry weather expected.

Always the risk of a few scattered showers. But it looks as if it will
