for under-18s who are Aaron Fox died at the age of 16 | :01:27. | :01:30.
earlier this year after becoming In a secure unit, young people | :01:31. | :01:36.
would be referred for specialist treatment and would not be not | :01:37. | :01:43.
free to come and go. Such a facility for over-18s | :01:44. | :01:46.
is provided in Knockbracken Kelly Bonner has been | :01:47. | :01:51.
speaking to the Fox family. Aaron Fox was just 15 | :01:52. | :01:57.
when his battle with drugs began. It progressed to legal highs, | :01:58. | :02:09.
and it just got a hold From that point, it | :02:10. | :02:12.
was a constant battle. The battle ended in Aaron | :02:13. | :02:19.
taking his own life It was horrendous, just horrendous | :02:20. | :02:31.
to watch your child self-destruct in such a way. There was nothing we | :02:32. | :02:40.
could do. Every parent's main goal in life is to protect their | :02:41. | :02:43.
children, to make sure they are safe. I just wish we could go back | :02:44. | :02:52.
to that day and I would never let out of my sight. | :02:53. | :02:56.
As it stands there are no secure treatment units for under | :02:57. | :03:04.
18-year-old people with severe mental health issues. | :03:05. | :03:06.
Something this MLA says needs to be addressed. | :03:07. | :03:08.
There is not enough early intervention, health and support, | :03:09. | :03:10.
and when they are engaged in very harmful behaviour, | :03:11. | :03:12.
self harming and trying to take their own lives, | :03:13. | :03:15.
we struggle to find where we can get them help. | :03:16. | :03:17.
Because here in Northern Ireland there is no secure | :03:18. | :03:19.
But the Department of Health say the current demand for a secure | :03:20. | :03:24.
They say the priority for any additional investment would go | :03:25. | :03:36.
towards strengthening existing provisions rather than on a | :03:37. | :03:40.
specialised unit, something the Fox family say is not good enough. | :03:41. | :03:53.
The way the system is working, kids need to be on their knees. | :03:54. | :03:56.
Literally on their knees before anybody will pay attention. | :03:57. | :04:00.
There are serious failings around a lack of resources. There needs to be | :04:01. | :04:07.
that early intervention. There needs to be what we were calling a secure | :04:08. | :04:13.
unit, but more a safe place to get those kids away from the addiction, | :04:14. | :04:19.
to educate them and to give them the assistance they need. The Fox family | :04:20. | :04:26.
say until that happens they fear more lives will be lost. | :04:27. | :04:27.
And since posting that story on social media this afternoon, | :04:28. | :04:30.
If you'd like to share your thoughts, join | :04:31. | :04:34.
Carl Frampton - could he become the greatest Irish | :04:35. | :04:41.
Well, that's what his mentor Barry McGuigan thinks | :04:42. | :04:44.
after the Belfast man's victory at the weekend. | :04:45. | :04:47.
Unprecedented, Donna, and could not have happened to a more grounded or | :04:48. | :05:04.
unassuming individual. Carl Frampton, the boy | :05:05. | :05:06.
from Tigers Bay, has taken Northern Ireland's first | :05:07. | :05:08.
two-weight world champion says he wants his next fight to be | :05:09. | :05:11.
in Belfast after winning the WBA world featherweight | :05:12. | :05:14.
title in Brooklyn. He defeated previously unbeaten | :05:15. | :05:16.
three-weight champion Leo Santa Cruz It has been an incredible few months | :05:17. | :05:33.
for Carl Frampton. In February he unified the superbantamweight | :05:34. | :05:38.
division but Saturday's win in New York has propelled him to another | :05:39. | :05:43.
level, not just in his own sport but also in the eyes of the American | :05:44. | :05:49.
public. His fight has been heralded as the fight of the year after an | :05:50. | :05:56.
unforgettable night in Brooklyn. And the new WBA featherweight champion | :05:57. | :06:03.
of the world... This was Carl Frampton's sweetest moment in the | :06:04. | :06:07.
ring, the winner of a fight that will be remembered for years to | :06:08. | :06:13.
come. He rose to the occasion on the big stage as the two undefeated | :06:14. | :06:18.
stars went toe to toe. But it was Frampton who seemed in control, as | :06:19. | :06:24.
Leo Santa Cruz felt the full force of the Belfast man's power. It went | :06:25. | :06:31.
the distance and while one judge scored it a draw, Frampton was | :06:32. | :06:36.
declared the winner by the other two officials. I thought that I won the | :06:37. | :06:43.
fight by a couple of rounds but being away from home, who knows what | :06:44. | :06:48.
will happen, but the judging was fair. I think it was close but I | :06:49. | :06:53.
deserved to win. That puts me among the top fighters in the world, I | :06:54. | :07:00.
have unified the superbantamweight division in February, I beat a three | :07:01. | :07:03.
weight world champion so I think that puts me up with the top | :07:04. | :07:08.
fighters in the world and maybe touching the top ten. To night Carl | :07:09. | :07:13.
Frampton has put himself in the Hall of Fame. He will be a Hall of Fame | :07:14. | :07:21.
fighter with that performance and there one a new title, first | :07:22. | :07:24.
Northern Ireland man to do it, he's in the fight of the year and I | :07:25. | :07:30.
guarantee he will be voted into the Hall of Fame six years after he | :07:31. | :07:34.
retires because of that performance tonight. What with the motions like? | :07:35. | :07:43.
I've never been as nervous before at a sporting event, whether it be | :07:44. | :07:47.
Ryder Cup for watching Northern Ireland, when you are there, I don't | :07:48. | :07:52.
think there's any better show in sport than boxing, especially when | :07:53. | :07:59.
two great fighters are going to to toe, so nervousness, anxiety, but | :08:00. | :08:03.
I'm just glad he got the win. What next? I don't know, potentially a | :08:04. | :08:11.
rematch with Santa Cruz, a fight with Selby has been talked about, | :08:12. | :08:16.
Gary Russell, but I want to fight in Belfast. I don't want people to have | :08:17. | :08:22.
to pay top money to support me in the States. I would like to fight in | :08:23. | :08:27.
Belfast at least once a year. I'm in the driving seat now and I want to | :08:28. | :08:33.
bring them to Belfast. Frampton will spend a few days relaxing and | :08:34. | :08:37.
sightseeing here but he will return home one of the hot properties in | :08:38. | :08:43.
the sport. After his stateside works, New York has fallen in love | :08:44. | :08:47.
with Carl Frampton but to 29-year-old is determined to add to | :08:48. | :08:49.
his own legacy in his home city. "I'm just a working class fella | :08:50. | :08:51.
from Belfast who can fight a wee bit" Frampton told the media | :08:52. | :08:54.
in Brooklyn after landing the title. He then booked out a Manhattan bar | :08:55. | :08:57.
and threw open the doors to his travelling fans and, | :08:58. | :09:00.
what's more, picked up the bill. The boys from Belfast, we all | :09:01. | :09:14.
believe in him. We knew when we came out here he was going to spark Santa | :09:15. | :09:19.
Cruz and he did, he sparked him in the second row. They knew world | :09:20. | :09:29.
champion! How much have the fans enjoyed meeting him, shaking his | :09:30. | :09:35.
hand, getting a photo or a chat with the world champion? It's nice to be | :09:36. | :09:40.
able to do that because he's such a down-to-earth guy and most of the | :09:41. | :09:46.
guys here. I believe if he had lost last night he would have done the | :09:47. | :09:50.
same thing, it shows he appreciates everyone who travelled over and it's | :09:51. | :09:57.
great to be here. I was at the Euros, now I'm here, the bank | :09:58. | :10:01.
manager is crying but back to work tomorrow. Just how good was Carl | :10:02. | :10:09.
last night? He was amazing, fighting their best guy in his division, a | :10:10. | :10:16.
former three weight world champion, and defeated, he was up against it. | :10:17. | :10:20.
He really had to rise to the occasion and he did that. He was | :10:21. | :10:27.
going toe to toe with a great Mexican guy who can throw good | :10:28. | :10:31.
books. Each did in range and he came out on top. | :10:32. | :10:33.
# Frampton's on fire, Santa Cruz is terrified! | :10:34. | :10:42.
We still await confirmation of the plans around the homecoming - | :10:43. | :10:46.
The fight might have taken place on the other side of the pond | :10:47. | :10:50.
but the ripples have been felt all the way back here | :10:51. | :10:53.
So what will Carl Frampton's historic win do for the sport | :10:54. | :10:57.
of boxing here where amateur clubs are so often community hubs? | :10:58. | :10:59.
The fans probably haven't come down to earth yet, | :11:00. | :11:02.
but for some who'd made the trip of a lifetime to the fight in | :11:03. | :11:06.
The excitement of being at the win will stay with them. | :11:07. | :11:14.
We were sort of half expecting he would win but even hopeful he would | :11:15. | :11:22.
win, but to win in such a style he did win, unanimous points decision, | :11:23. | :11:25.
it was unheard of. As they landed at Belfast | :11:26. | :11:27.
International, thoughts were already They hope Windsor Park for some of a | :11:28. | :11:39.
similar nature and it would be fabulous if we could have him defend | :11:40. | :11:45.
his new world title in Belfast. There's a lot of things that have to | :11:46. | :11:50.
come together for something like this to happen in Belfast and we | :11:51. | :11:52.
hope for the best that it will. Northern Ireland is said to punch | :11:53. | :11:54.
above its weight in boxing and a former champion | :11:55. | :11:57.
predicts this win will draw You just have to look around, people | :11:58. | :12:07.
are excited and happy, you go into any boxing club now, Tigers Bay for | :12:08. | :12:13.
the Falls Road, kids all want to be Carl Frampton. He will be on the | :12:14. | :12:18.
world stage and they all want part of that. | :12:19. | :12:19.
This coach was presented with an award by Carl Frampton | :12:20. | :12:21.
He's hoping that the latest success will bring a boost to the coffers | :12:22. | :12:25.
of amateur clubs as funders realise how popular the sport is. | :12:26. | :12:28.
Hopefully the funders will look at that and think, can we help? Can we | :12:29. | :12:36.
be part of the next superstar coming through? You wouldn't say no. When | :12:37. | :12:43.
Carl Frampton defends his title, could it be there at the Titanic | :12:44. | :12:49.
Slipway, where he drew such huge loyal home crowds in 2014? The venue | :12:50. | :12:55.
could be Windsor Park when it is ready for a big crowd but perhaps | :12:56. | :12:59.
the TV rights and lure of big money will mean the next big fight will | :13:00. | :13:05.
happen to be in the US, so, Frampton fans, time to start saving. | :13:06. | :13:07.
Carl Frampton's purse was said to he half a million dollars - | :13:08. | :13:10.
there are a few more big paydays to come. | :13:11. | :13:12.
Donna, I'll be back a little later in the programme | :13:13. | :13:15.
Traders in Lisburn have condemned those responsible for closing down | :13:16. | :13:18.
Market Place had to be evacuated after a viable bomb | :13:19. | :13:22.
The police say one line of inquiry is that it fell off a vehicle. | :13:23. | :13:27.
It was business as usual in Lisburn today. | :13:28. | :13:30.
But this busy shopping area came to a standstill | :13:31. | :13:33.
And this was the reason - a viable bomb. | :13:34. | :13:39.
Its discovery prompted road closures and the evacuation of businesses. | :13:40. | :13:44.
Some are blaming dissident republicans. | :13:45. | :13:52.
The line of inquiry is developing that this device came off a vehicle. | :13:53. | :14:00.
History has shown that prison officers and security pass never | :14:01. | :14:05.
have been targeted, most recently a prison officer was murdered with an | :14:06. | :14:10.
undercard device and it suggests this is a pattern and so we need to | :14:11. | :14:12.
be vigilant. A controlled explosion was carried | :14:13. | :14:14.
out to make the device safe. And in a follow-up operation | :14:15. | :14:16.
by police, a car was seized While there is relief that no one | :14:17. | :14:29.
was injured by the bomb found here on Saturday, there is anger in the | :14:30. | :14:32.
business community about the impact it had on trade. When I saw it, it | :14:33. | :14:39.
was time to lock the shop up and move on quickly. It is just lucky no | :14:40. | :14:47.
one was injured and killed, so it was panic and moving as fast as | :14:48. | :14:53.
possible. A massive impact, last day of the month for me and sales day, | :14:54. | :14:57.
payday weekend, so a massive impact. The bomb was found just feet | :14:58. | :15:00.
from where a booby trap device killed six off-duty | :15:01. | :15:03.
soldiers in 1988. Locals are thankful there was no | :15:04. | :15:05.
further bloodshed three decades on. Almost ?1 million is to be | :15:06. | :15:13.
spent upgrading the CCTV As our North-West reporter, | :15:14. | :15:16.
Keiron Tourish explains, the cameras are being used to protect the public | :15:17. | :15:20.
and catch criminals. A group of young people letting off | :15:21. | :15:24.
fireworks in Foyle Street. They were caught on CCTV and within | :15:25. | :15:27.
minutes police were alerted. Since the 1st of June last year, | :15:28. | :15:31.
the CCTV monitoring station has Many of the thefts, assaults, | :15:32. | :15:35.
fires or road traffic There's a live link-up so police can | :15:36. | :15:43.
see a developing incident Other emergency agencies or homeless | :15:44. | :15:48.
charities can be alerted too. There's no doubt it has a perfect. | :15:49. | :16:06.
The new cameras at the back of the Council offices, within 24 hours of | :16:07. | :16:11.
them going up we had two persons arrested in relation to theft and | :16:12. | :16:16.
criminal damage, so they act as a deterrent but also enable us to get | :16:17. | :16:22.
evidence for early arrests and detections. As part of this upgrade, | :16:23. | :16:27.
the riverfront and all three bridges in the city are now covered by CCTV. | :16:28. | :16:33.
That is proving vital for the emergency services. It is another | :16:34. | :16:39.
set of eyes for us on duty and it allows us to respond quickly to | :16:40. | :16:44.
anyone in distress or at the railings or someone who has entered | :16:45. | :16:45.
the water. This latest upgrade to 80 cameras | :16:46. | :16:46.
and the staff monitoring for the next five years | :16:47. | :16:48.
will cost ?900,000. Is it about spying on people, | :16:49. | :16:59.
invading privacy? It is about making sure people are safe and feel safe | :17:00. | :17:05.
and if there is crime committed, we detect that crime, if people are | :17:06. | :17:10.
vulnerable we help them. CCTV is about helping people in their | :17:11. | :17:16.
everyday lives. We work with people in other agencies. | :17:17. | :17:17.
The emergency services believe it's money well spent. | :17:18. | :17:27.
The game is almost over for one of the world's most | :17:28. | :17:30.
The American broadcaster HBO has announced that Game of Thrones - | :17:31. | :17:34.
much of which is filmed in Northern Ireland - | :17:35. | :17:36.
will come to an end after season eight is broadcast in 2018. | :17:37. | :17:39.
Our arts correspondent Robbie Meredith looks | :17:40. | :17:40.
at the possible impact of the conclusion of the production. | :17:41. | :17:43.

The former Prime Minister David Cameron was also an avid viewer, | :17:46. | :17:50.
as he showed on a visit to the set last year. | :17:51. | :17:58.
Game of Thrones is filmed here at Belfast's Titanic Studios | :17:59. | :18:04.
and in locations across Northern Ireland. | :18:05. | :18:05.
One critic has described it as swords, dragons, | :18:06. | :18:07.
That combination has made it a global success. | :18:08. | :18:17.
I would say it's the number one show that most people from the age of 20 | :18:18. | :18:26.
250 watts. It's what they call the water cooler talk. Industry and its | :18:27. | :18:32.
huge, a lot of my friends watch it regularly. I watch it in Scotland | :18:33. | :18:39.
and a lot of the time I say to my friends I know where that is. | :18:40. | :18:41.
There's also been a financial return. | :18:42. | :18:43.
NI Screen have invested almost ?14 million of public | :18:44. | :18:45.
But in return they say it's brought ?150 million into the local economy | :18:46. | :18:51.
By the time Game of Thrones leaves Northern Ireland it will have been | :18:52. | :19:04.
on the ground for ten years, a long time in our game. We have been | :19:05. | :19:09.
planning for this for years. It leaves all the knowledge, support | :19:10. | :19:16.
companies, postproduction companies, casting, extras companies, catering | :19:17. | :19:22.
companies, lighting and construction, they are all here and | :19:23. | :19:26.
there is not a significant fire in Los Angeles who doesn't know that | :19:27. | :19:29.
Game of Thrones was made here. -- buyer. | :19:30. | :19:31.
Winter hasn't quite come to Westeros, where Game | :19:32. | :19:33.
There are still two series to be filmed. | :19:34. | :19:43.
We've heard of cats and dogs being used for pet therapy - | :19:44. | :19:46.
but in Ballymena a more unusual pet is helping one family. | :19:47. | :19:49.
Our north east reporter Sara Girvin has been to meet them - | :19:50. | :19:53.
He may be little but he's had a big impact on this family. Lynn has | :19:54. | :20:07.
serious health problems and has undergone a heart transplant. She | :20:08. | :20:11.
credits her miniature horse with helping her get back on her feet. If | :20:12. | :20:16.
I'm having a bad day I come out and sit in the garden and if he doesn't | :20:17. | :20:21.
want to talk to me, I can watch him and if he wants a cuddle, even | :20:22. | :20:28.
better. Lynn hopes that in time Truffles could be trained as a | :20:29. | :20:32.
therapy animal for others battling poor health but for now he lives | :20:33. | :20:37.
with the family and his best friend and I, the Jack Russell, who he | :20:38. | :20:43.
shares carrot sticks with. After the pair were spotted walking together | :20:44. | :20:49.
in Ballymena, Truffles became a social media star. I don't want to | :20:50. | :20:56.
save the word celebrity but in Ballymena you cannot help but feel | :20:57. | :21:02.
these ones up the road have a little worse, to see is just a pet, he's | :21:03. | :21:09.
just Truffles. And while truffles has his own or sports, he prefers | :21:10. | :21:17.
the family car. It is not long before he is attracting attention | :21:18. | :21:22.
and lots of it. It is a varied reaction, some people you were a mad | :21:23. | :21:27.
man walking a horse and other times the kids are overjoyed to see him | :21:28. | :21:34.
and stroke. It's given me a reason to get out for a walk. With | :21:35. | :21:41.
everything that has gone on with Lynn and her problems, I suffered a | :21:42. | :21:46.
bit, but it has given me a goal and a drive to get out. For now, the | :21:47. | :21:53.
family has Truffles in training. They are taking him around nursing | :21:54. | :21:57.
homes to meet residents. They want to spread the joy he has brought | :21:58. | :22:04.
them around Ballymena and beyond. A happy family and horse. | :22:05. | :22:06.
There was a rallying first over the weekend | :22:07. | :22:08.
Kris Meeke has won the Rally of Finland, becoming the first British | :22:09. | :22:23.
driver to claim the title in its history. | :22:24. | :22:25.
In a remarkable weekend for Meeke's team there was also an emotional | :22:26. | :22:28.
first podium finish for his Irish team-mate Craig Breen. | :22:29. | :22:30.
Meeke led almost the whole of the four-day race over the gravel | :22:31. | :22:34.
And the Dungannon man held his nerve to the last, | :22:35. | :22:38.
winning the rally by over 29 seconds, establishing a new | :22:39. | :22:40.
It's just been exceptional. I think yesterday morning we had to do | :22:41. | :22:54.
something special, this morning I had to take my brain and I think | :22:55. | :22:59.
yesterday I left it in the hotel somewhere, so it's been an | :23:00. | :23:03.
exceptional weekend and I might have a beer tonight. | :23:04. | :23:14.
Meeke's team-mate, driver Craig Breen, claimed third | :23:15. | :23:16.
place and was overwhelmed at his achievement. | :23:17. | :23:19.
It's been the most amazing day of my life, such a road to get here, I'm | :23:20. | :23:27.
missing my main man and I know he's looking down on me, thank you, | :23:28. | :23:31.
everybody, thank you so much. An emotional finish | :23:32. | :23:33.
to an historical rally. Craig Breen's codriver Gareth | :23:34. | :23:45.
Roberts died in an accident four years ago and he is evidently still | :23:46. | :23:47.
very much in his thoughts. Gaelic games a sell out crowd | :23:48. | :23:52.
is expected at Croke park for this Saturdays All-Ireland football | :23:53. | :23:57.
quarterfinal double header. Up first its Tyrone against Mayo - | :23:58. | :23:58.
then Donegal who saw of Cork over the weekend have to crack | :23:59. | :24:02.
the conundrum that is Carrigan, brilliant effort! Paul | :24:03. | :24:15.
Kerrigan's gold Coast into an early lead but also prompted a from | :24:16. | :24:19.
Donegal, in particular Paddy McNeice T. This is one of seven first-half | :24:20. | :24:27.
scores which saw the Ulster finalists trailed by a point at the | :24:28. | :24:32.
break. The game continued to ebb and flow and with 15 minutes to go Owen | :24:33. | :24:38.
McCue sees the ball to stroke over a score from distance, then in injury | :24:39. | :24:44.
time it was his cousin's turn to shine. If anything Ryan McCue's | :24:45. | :24:51.
finish was more sumptuous and pushed Donegal into a lead. We anticipated | :24:52. | :24:56.
a tough battle, we think Cork are one of the top teams in the country | :24:57. | :25:01.
and we are delighted with our response in the second half. | :25:02. | :25:03.
It's been some summer of sport and the countdown is on to the start | :25:04. | :25:07.
of the Olympic Games in Brazil this Friday. | :25:08. | :25:09.
Stephen Watson is in Rio for BBC Newsline. | :25:10. | :25:14.
This is the impressive athletes village for the largest ever | :25:15. | :25:19.
contingent from Northern Ireland will represent either team Ireland | :25:20. | :25:26.
for Team GB. The 28 competitors will not have much time to enjoy this | :25:27. | :25:32.
temporary beach as they continue their pursuit of an elusive Olympic | :25:33. | :25:36.
gold medal and for the duration of the games we will have daily | :25:37. | :25:42.
coverage here. Great to see the sunshine in Brazil. Our beaches are | :25:43. | :25:47.
just as good but let's see if we will have any sunshine. We're into | :25:48. | :25:54.
the last month of any summer but it doesn't look like it will play ball. | :25:55. | :26:00.
That weather is heading our way because of the jet stream, which | :26:01. | :26:05.
will fire in low pressure systems, keeping things unsettled so keep the | :26:06. | :26:10.
umbrellas candy. Tonight there is evening sunshine for a while and | :26:11. | :26:15.
then largely mild, but rain isn't far away for Tuesday. It will push | :26:16. | :26:21.
up from the Irish Midlands by early morning and that gives us a great | :26:22. | :26:25.
and drizzly day. Some rain could be heavy at first before it turns | :26:26. | :26:31.
lighter as it moves northwards. It will become rather damp and drizzly, | :26:32. | :26:36.
not too heavy but you will want to keep your umbrella handy. Winds our | :26:37. | :26:42.
light and it's still warm, 18 or 19 degrees. If you are travelling | :26:43. | :26:46.
tomorrow the more unsettled conditions across Ireland will | :26:47. | :26:50.
stretch across Ulster, England and Wales bear the brunt of wet weather, | :26:51. | :26:56.
north of that the best sunshine is in Scotland and it could be warmed | :26:57. | :27:01.
towards the south-east of England. Once we begin to lose their heavier | :27:02. | :27:05.
rain it will become patchier tomorrow evening but staying very | :27:06. | :27:13.
and drunk with further drizzle for parts of the West and North Coast. | :27:14. | :27:16.
Tomorrow night stays mild, temperatures no lower than 14 or 15 | :27:17. | :27:21.
degrees but winds will begin to build and it doesn't look pretty for | :27:22. | :27:28.
Wednesday, lots of rain, blustery conditions and torrential downpours, | :27:29. | :27:32.
enough to cause spot flooding in places, we will keep an eye on that. | :27:33. | :27:39.
There is good news, a look ahead to Thursday and Friday, when Stern | :27:40. | :27:43.
lighter and it will be a mix of sunshine and scattered showers. And | :27:44. | :27:48.
that was BBC Newsline. Thank you for | :27:49. | :27:49. |
