This is BBC Newsline and these are the headlines | :00:09. | :00:11.
on minister Mairtin O Muilleoir to step aside during | :00:12. | :00:20.
an investigation into secret NAMA contacts. | :00:21. | :00:29.
It is now impossible in any fair-minded process for a minister | :00:30. | :00:34.
to be able to carry on in office. A number of students at this Newry | :00:35. | :00:38.
school have A-level grades cancelled after exam details are shared | :00:39. | :00:41.
on social media. The man shocked to discover that | :00:42. | :00:49.
they do not resuscitate order was placed on his hospital notes. This | :00:50. | :00:55.
senior sports official from Northern Ireland is being questioned by | :00:56. | :00:58.
police in Brazil about alleged illegal ticket sales. Also to come | :00:59. | :01:03.
on the programme, it is home but not for long for these rescued seal | :01:04. | :01:09.
pups. The fallout from the controversial defeat continues. The | :01:10. | :01:15.
Belfast fighter could face disciplinary action. | :01:16. | :01:18.
And after today's disappointingly dull and damp weather, tomorrow | :01:19. | :01:20.
The Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, says | :01:21. | :01:27.
the Finance Minister has his full support and will not | :01:28. | :01:29.
A Stormont committee called for Mairtin O Muilleoir to stand | :01:30. | :01:33.
aside while an investigation is carried out into the revelation | :01:34. | :01:35.
that a Sinn Fein member coached a loyalist blogger how to give | :01:36. | :01:38.
Mr O'Muilleoir has denied doing anything wrong. | :01:39. | :01:41.
Here's our political correspondent, Gareth Gordon. | :01:42. | :02:00.
As finance Minister, Mairtin O Muilleoir has one of the biggest is | :02:01. | :02:10.
jobs at Stormont but not long ago, he was a member of the Finance | :02:11. | :02:15.
committee on the day it heard explosive evidence from this man. | :02:16. | :02:21.
Last week his party colleague resigned as an MLA after the | :02:22. | :02:25.
revelation that he helped advise him about how to give his evidence. | :02:26. | :02:39.
Given that there is reference to the finance member then of the | :02:40. | :02:47.
committee, now a minister, that people will be told what he would | :02:48. | :02:52.
say, when he would say, at what stage he would come in, that it is | :02:53. | :02:57.
now impossible I think in any fair-minded process for a minister | :02:58. | :03:02.
to be able to carry on in office and have the confidence of the assembly. | :03:03. | :03:07.
The call for the Minister to step aside was backed by all the other | :03:08. | :03:10.
parties on the committee, bar Sinn Fein. The confidence has been so | :03:11. | :03:17.
seriously eroded and damaged that he cannot possibly continue, regardless | :03:18. | :03:24.
of whether he is guilty or not. But Mairtin O Muilleoir 's own party | :03:25. | :03:27.
accused the others of paying petty party politics. I believe in | :03:28. | :03:33.
scrutiny. I am a passionate advocate of scrutiny. But currently there is | :03:34. | :03:43.
an investigation into this whole issue, and that is the place for | :03:44. | :03:47.
that investigation to that -- for that place. For all that was said | :03:48. | :03:53.
today, the committee cannot force Mairtin O Muilleoir to step aside. | :03:54. | :03:57.
That power rests solely with his party and so far he has sinned | :03:58. | :04:04.
frames full support. Martin nugget -- Martin McGuinness said today: | :04:05. | :04:11.
the committee which has also invited Mairtin O Muilleoir to appear before | :04:12. | :04:18.
it meets again in a fortnight with both sides seeing signs of digging | :04:19. | :04:25.
in for a long fight. Some students at a school in Newry have been | :04:26. | :04:30.
disqualified from an A-level exam and their grades have been | :04:31. | :04:33.
cancelled. Our education correspondent is outside the school. | :04:34. | :04:41.
It explain what has happened. I am at the school at the centre of this | :04:42. | :04:49.
problem. And the BBC understands that around 15 students who sat the | :04:50. | :04:55.
A-level sociology exam which was set by the exam board are affected. It | :04:56. | :05:02.
is understood that one student sat the exam early because of a | :05:03. | :05:06.
timetable clash and then shared questions on social media. Remember, | :05:07. | :05:10.
it would not be unusual for a student to get a timetable clash. | :05:11. | :05:17.
They have to sit earlier or later. But normally, they are allowed no | :05:18. | :05:20.
contact with the students during that process. It is still unclear | :05:21. | :05:26.
how this problem came to light. But the exam board did launch an | :05:27. | :05:29.
investigation and the affected pupils have recently been informed | :05:30. | :05:34.
of the outcome. We understand they were informed of the sanctions last | :05:35. | :05:38.
week. What other detail has the exam board given you? Well, in a | :05:39. | :05:44.
statement, they told us that they could not discuss what they called | :05:45. | :05:49.
cases of alleged malpractice but a spokesperson said, no one taking our | :05:50. | :05:53.
exam should have an unfair advantage so we thoroughly investigate | :05:54. | :05:57.
allegations of cheating and take action when there is clear evidence | :05:58. | :06:01.
against specific individuals. Our advice to any student is to report | :06:02. | :06:08.
any leaked details to a teacher straightaway. What has the school | :06:09. | :06:13.
said about it? We of course contacted the school and no one was | :06:14. | :06:17.
available for interview. At a short time ago, they also gave us a | :06:18. | :06:21.
statement and in that they said they regret to say that there was an | :06:22. | :06:29.
incident involving students. They say the matter was dealt with by the | :06:30. | :06:32.
school and the examination board in line with joint Council for | :06:33. | :06:38.
guidelines and the students involved have been sanctioned. They go on to | :06:39. | :06:42.
say there has been no suggestion of any breach of examination or invent | :06:43. | :06:48.
duration protocol. -- individuation. They end by saying that they prise | :06:49. | :06:53.
their deserved reputation for integrity and also know the | :06:54. | :06:57.
importance of care and compassion in times of difficulty and will offer | :06:58. | :07:00.
support as needed for the young women involved, all of whose school | :07:01. | :07:03.
careers after this point were without blemish. -- up until this | :07:04. | :07:08.
point. And there's more to | :07:09. | :07:10.
come on the programme The council funding row sparked by | :07:11. | :07:20.
these gates commemorating two IRA men killed almost a century ago. | :07:21. | :07:23.
A man has told BBC Newsline that he was unaware that | :07:24. | :07:26.
a "Do Not Resuscitate Order" was put on his medical file | :07:27. | :07:29.
and he feels his human rights have been violated. | :07:30. | :07:31.
Neill Birnie, who is 48 and from County Antrim, | :07:32. | :07:33.
is paralysed from the neck down, as a result of progressive | :07:34. | :07:36.
The Northern Health Trust insists the matter was | :07:37. | :07:38.
Our Health Correspondent, Marie-Louise Connolly, | :07:39. | :07:41.
Despite his condition, Neill Birnie wants to live for as long as | :07:42. | :08:02.
possible. The most valuable commodity you can give your child is | :08:03. | :08:07.
your time. Communicating via a computer and he loves a good joke | :08:08. | :08:13.
and has a wicked sense of humour. This can make me come across as | :08:14. | :08:20.
bloody-minded. In a busy environment... Let me assure you | :08:21. | :08:28.
that the lights are on and I am definitely at home. Mentally alert, | :08:29. | :08:38.
in anti-14, after being taken to hospital, he discovered a do not | :08:39. | :08:42.
resuscitate order had been placed on his record. He says he did not ask | :08:43. | :08:45.
for one nor was it discussed with his family. There was absolutely no | :08:46. | :08:52.
effort made to ask my opinion. The consultant stood at the end of my | :08:53. | :08:55.
bed flanked by two junior doctors and told me that I had gone through | :08:56. | :08:59.
enough and that I had to face facts and that he had consulted with the | :09:00. | :09:03.
intensive care unit and they were of the same opinion, so he was putting | :09:04. | :09:08.
a do not present -- do not resuscitate notice on my admission | :09:09. | :09:14.
file. In a statement, a spokesperson for the health trust said that the | :09:15. | :09:19.
decision to implement a do not necessitate notices a medical one, | :09:20. | :09:26.
taken when a professional feels that as attempts would be futile and not | :09:27. | :09:30.
in their best interests in providing a dignified death. The trust said | :09:31. | :09:34.
this was discussed with Neill Birnie initially and put in place at a | :09:35. | :09:39.
conversation with his next of kin. Guidelines emphasise the need for | :09:40. | :09:43.
medics to clearly discuss the impact of a notice. That means a patient | :09:44. | :09:48.
will not be resuscitated, equally a family should be prepared for the | :09:49. | :09:52.
impact CPR can have on a person's body. It is terribly distressing | :09:53. | :09:59.
because someone has had CPR apply to them who is maybe elderly, who is | :10:00. | :10:06.
maybe frail, maybe very sick and the CPR can be traumatic. And I think | :10:07. | :10:12.
then the family can get very upset by how their loved one appears when | :10:13. | :10:15.
they finally get to their bedside and CPR has been applied. A puppy | :10:16. | :10:23.
arrived last week for Neill Birnie 's birthday. The family hope it will | :10:24. | :10:29.
help heal the mental scars. The precious gift of my life was | :10:30. | :10:33.
considered valueless by the hospital. He says his mission is to | :10:34. | :10:40.
spread the message that not all chronically ill patients are waiting | :10:41. | :10:41.
for assisted suicide. And if you have any thoughts | :10:42. | :10:43.
on the issue of DNR, Do Not Resuscitate orders, | :10:44. | :10:46.
you can share your view Lawyers for the arrested Olympics | :10:47. | :10:48.
official Pat Hickey have said that he did not try to escape before | :10:49. | :10:56.
he was detained. The former President | :10:57. | :10:59.
of the Olympic Council of Ireland is being held in prison in Brazil | :11:00. | :11:01.
as the police investigate Three other officials from the OCI | :11:02. | :11:03.
who had their passports seized are due to be interviewed | :11:04. | :11:07.
at a police station later today. Stephen Martin is among the three | :11:08. | :11:27.
officials whose passports were seized by the authorities last week. | :11:28. | :11:31.
Late this afternoon, they were due to report to a police station in Rio | :11:32. | :11:35.
de Janeiro in connection with the alleged illegal ticket sales. | :11:36. | :11:38.
Officers involved in the investigation also took control of | :11:39. | :11:41.
their mobile phones and laptops after going to the Olympic Council | :11:42. | :11:44.
of Ireland accommodation in the city. Police in Brazil are due to | :11:45. | :11:48.
give a news conference on the ongoing enquiry this evening. | :11:49. | :11:53.
Meanwhile former OCI President Pat Hickey who was due before a judge in | :11:54. | :12:00.
Rio de Janeiro today is now not expected in court until a later | :12:01. | :12:07.
date. It was reported at the time that when the police arrived at the | :12:08. | :12:12.
hotel Pat Hickey 's wife told officers he had gone home to | :12:13. | :12:16.
Ireland. He was later detained in an adjoining bedroom. His lawyers have | :12:17. | :12:18.
released a statement saying his detention by police was under mere | :12:19. | :12:25.
assumptions. The statement says that Pat Hickey did not try to escape and | :12:26. | :12:29.
he was sleeping in one of the three rooms allocated to him and his | :12:30. | :12:32.
family due to an insomnia. The lawyers went on to say that he did | :12:33. | :12:36.
not want to disturb his wife and it would be ridiculous to try to escape | :12:37. | :12:39.
and then go to the next room. The statement also said that his wife | :12:40. | :12:43.
was taken by surprise by officers calling at her room early in the | :12:44. | :12:45.
morning and she panicked. The imported illegal prescription | :12:46. | :12:57.
drugs that pose fraud and health risks to anyone who uses them. | :12:58. | :13:02.
Secretary of State James Brokenshire has said that making | :13:03. | :13:04.
progress to resolve the issues of the past will be a priority. | :13:05. | :13:07.
He was speaking during a visit to Fermanagh where he met survivors | :13:08. | :13:10.
and relatives of those killed in the Troubles, | :13:11. | :13:12.
including the daughter of a couple killed in the Enniskillen bomb. | :13:13. | :13:14.
Here's our south west reporter, Julian Fowler. | :13:15. | :13:25.
The Secretary of State has been meeting people across Northern | :13:26. | :13:30.
Ireland to hear first-hand their concerns. Here it was the issue of | :13:31. | :13:35.
the past that this group wants to see progress made. He told them he | :13:36. | :13:41.
would make it his priority. I am in no doubt as to the compact cities of | :13:42. | :13:44.
the issues and indeed what people are looking to get from this whole | :13:45. | :13:51.
process. But what I think there is a clear message is that the existing | :13:52. | :13:54.
system is not working and that we do need to see change. We do need to | :13:55. | :13:58.
see things move forward and that is why I am very intent to see that | :13:59. | :14:02.
these new institutions that were set out in the Stormont House Agreement | :14:03. | :14:06.
to come to fruition but do so in a way that is able to command | :14:07. | :14:09.
confidence and respect and brings people with that process. He spent | :14:10. | :14:14.
more than an hour listening to their experiences of the troubles and | :14:15. | :14:17.
these victims and survivors said he listened to what they had to say. I | :14:18. | :14:22.
think a lot of innocent victims like ourselves have been forgotten about. | :14:23. | :14:26.
Everybody wants us to go away but we will never go away. I think he | :14:27. | :14:30.
listened very intently to us. There were several of us here with very | :14:31. | :14:36.
hollowing, horrible stories and maybe he take it from -- harrowing. | :14:37. | :14:43.
Maybe he will take that on board. People have been let down. I know it | :14:44. | :14:46.
is not easy to establish as I say the truth and as I say move forward, | :14:47. | :14:53.
but I think over time, and I think if everybody could embrace the | :14:54. | :15:00.
possibility of a major feature for the next generation in Northern | :15:01. | :15:03.
Ireland, I think that could be achievable. But it will be a hard | :15:04. | :15:08.
job. When it comes to the past, it will be impossible to please | :15:09. | :15:12.
everybody. This is the last in a series of meetings held with victims | :15:13. | :15:16.
groups across Northern Ireland. Having told their stories, victims | :15:17. | :15:20.
and survivors will be waiting to see what the Secretary of State can | :15:21. | :15:22.
deliver. A Council is set to discuss funding | :15:23. | :15:29.
for a GAA community centre in the Glens of Antrim this evening | :15:30. | :15:32.
but the decision's Causeway Coast and Glens Council | :15:33. | :15:34.
has placed ?180,000 on hold for the project | :15:35. | :15:37.
at the Oisin Glenariffe club. That's because of a set of gates | :15:38. | :15:40.
currently at the ground bear the names of two IRA men killed | :15:41. | :15:43.
in a gunbattle with police in 1922. Our north east reporter, | :15:44. | :15:46.
Sara Girvin, is at the council Sara, what more can you tell us | :15:47. | :15:48.
about the background Good evening. Talk of building a | :15:49. | :16:04.
cross community Centre at the sight of the GAA club has been ongoing for | :16:05. | :16:09.
the last number of years. The project is set to cost more than ?1 | :16:10. | :16:12.
million and it was hoped that ?180,000 that would come from the | :16:13. | :16:18.
Causeway Coast and then council. That was proved in theory earlier | :16:19. | :16:22.
this year but when it went to the full council, the DUP raised | :16:23. | :16:26.
concerns about the commemoration gates. They bear the name of two IRA | :16:27. | :16:36.
men killed in 1922. The DUP say that if those names remain, they simply | :16:37. | :16:40.
could not be viewed as a cross community project. I beg your | :16:41. | :16:51.
pardon. What is due to happen there this evening that the council in | :16:52. | :16:56.
Coleraine? The matter of funding will be discussed here this evening. | :16:57. | :17:02.
The council as I was going to say sought legal advice on the issue and | :17:03. | :17:04.
that advice will be related to night. I understand that will take | :17:05. | :17:07.
place in committee, meaning that members of the public and the press | :17:08. | :17:12.
will not be allowed to hear it. And what statement has been made by the | :17:13. | :17:18.
council? Sorry, by the club? We have not heard anything from the club | :17:19. | :17:24.
Bickley but I have spoken to a few members today and they told me that | :17:25. | :17:27.
they did not want to speak on camera. This matter is too sensitive | :17:28. | :17:31.
to do that. They want to wait until the outcome of tonight 's meeting. | :17:32. | :17:35.
However they did tell me that of the 160 odd members that they have in | :17:36. | :17:40.
the club, only around 35 of them actually turned out to vote on the | :17:41. | :17:44.
matter and of that, only three voted against. They are willing to see if | :17:45. | :17:50.
that decision not to move the gates from the entrance to a nearby | :17:51. | :17:55.
hurling site, not to remove them completely but to relocate them, | :17:56. | :17:58.
will secure them ?180,000 worth of funding from this council. Clearly | :17:59. | :18:03.
more to come up controversy from Finau. Thank you. | :18:04. | :18:12.
Four men have been arrested by police officers investigating | :18:13. | :18:14.
The men, who are in their 40s and 50s, were detained in police | :18:15. | :18:18.
searches in west Belfast earlier today. | :18:19. | :18:19.
The police have seized no fewer than 65,000 Diazepam tablets | :18:20. | :18:21.
The tablets are usually prescribed by doctors to treat anxiety, | :18:22. | :18:25.
If you think there's no problem in having | :18:26. | :18:28.
them since the drugs are legal, think again. | :18:29. | :18:30.
The penalty for possessing them without a prescription can be five | :18:31. | :18:33.
years in jail and the sentence for importing or supplying | :18:34. | :18:35.
Our reporter, Maggie Taggart, has been to see the latest haul. | :18:36. | :18:50.
Here at police headquarters, there is a continuing concern about | :18:51. | :18:54.
illegal drugs but these are prescription drugs which have been | :18:55. | :18:58.
found by the police and illegally imported. And presumably it legally | :18:59. | :19:03.
use. They implode diazepam but also a lot of other drugs which are for | :19:04. | :19:07.
instance the human growth hormone and very strong painkillers. Joining | :19:08. | :19:13.
me now is detected the Dunlop. Why are you concerned about these | :19:14. | :19:17.
diazepam? We are concerned because of the potential health and to | :19:18. | :19:21.
consider someone who takes these drugs. They do not know where they | :19:22. | :19:25.
are produced and by whom they are produced. They do not know the | :19:26. | :19:29.
strength of the pill and they do not know anything about it. There are no | :19:30. | :19:33.
quality assurances. They are taking something that does not have that | :19:34. | :19:38.
quality assurance stamp on it. Who are you targeting? The people | :19:39. | :19:40.
bringing them in all the people actually taking the drugs? Our | :19:41. | :19:45.
primary focus is on enforcement and enforcing the law against those | :19:46. | :19:49.
involved in illegal supply of these diazepam pills. We are continually | :19:50. | :19:52.
working with our colleagues in the Department of Health whose primary | :19:53. | :19:56.
focus is on the treatment end. Where are they coming from? They are | :19:57. | :20:02.
coming from all over the continent. And further afield. It is very | :20:03. | :20:06.

also believe there is a risk to people's identity, fraud and so | :20:18. | :20:21.
forth. Maybe their bank details. People will always run the risk of | :20:22. | :20:28.
those details being stolen and used fraudulently. So the risks are many, | :20:29. | :20:34.
not only to your health but perhaps to your banking, your identity fraud | :20:35. | :20:37.
and of course there is still the Lescott prison. -- risk of prison. | :20:38. | :20:44.
Two abandoned seal pups that have been nursed back to full health have | :20:45. | :20:47.
And the expert responsible has asked owners of jet-skis and speedboats | :20:48. | :20:51.
to take care in the coming weeks as young seals strike out | :20:52. | :20:54.
Here's our Agriculture and Environment correspondent, | :20:55. | :20:57.
The backyard is not normally the place you would expect to find the | :20:58. | :21:02.
seal pups but they have been living here for almost two months. The seal | :21:03. | :21:06.
biologist took them in when they were found abandoned. Now fattened | :21:07. | :21:09.
on a specialist milk formula, crushed fish and cream, it is time | :21:10. | :21:16.
to put them back. Initially at least, they don't seem that keen on | :21:17. | :21:20.
the idea. These two were taken into care because they were underweight | :21:21. | :21:26.
at birth and that normally means certain death unless an expert | :21:27. | :21:30.
intervenes. They have to be able to follow their mothers into the water | :21:31. | :21:33.
for their mothers to be able to care for them. They would not have coped | :21:34. | :21:37.
at all. She would have ended up with them being stranded as the tide went | :21:38. | :21:41.
down. Seven weeks after they were found abandoned, they are on their | :21:42. | :21:45.
way back to the sea. Hopefully to hook up with other members of the | :21:46. | :21:50.
seal family. But after several weeks of hand rearing, there is an | :21:51. | :21:55.
inevitable bond between the perhaps and Sue. One takes off without much | :21:56. | :22:00.
persuasion but for the other, parting is a long, drawn-out and | :22:01. | :22:05.
difficult affair. Even she is more orientated towards other seals than | :22:06. | :22:10.
she is two hours. As soon as she was able to break the bond with us just | :22:11. | :22:14.
there, I have no doubt that she will be fine with the other seals. And it | :22:15. | :22:19.
really took the arrival of the inquisitive adults to persuade her | :22:20. | :22:23.
it was time to leave her human helper and head for the open sea. | :22:24. | :22:28.
That is more than 20 pups now that seal has helped back into the waves. | :22:29. | :22:36.
Boxing, and Michael Conlan could be facing disciplinary action | :22:37. | :22:41.
The Belfast bantamweight was on the wrong end | :22:42. | :22:44.
of a contentious decision in his quarter-final | :22:45. | :22:46.
After his loss to Russia's Vladimir Nikitin, on a majority | :22:47. | :22:50.
decision by the judges, Conlan made several gestures | :22:51. | :22:51.
and went on to lambast the officials. | :22:52. | :22:53.
The President of the International Boxing Association, has branded | :22:54. | :22:55.
Conlan's post-fight behaviour as "unacceptable", saying Conlan has | :22:56. | :22:57.
"put himself in a difficult position" and that "a lot | :22:58. | :23:00.
With the start of their Pro12 campaign less than a fortnight | :23:01. | :23:14.
away, Ulster have some major injury worries. | :23:15. | :23:16.
In particular, their front row where there are big problems | :23:17. | :23:18.
at the tight-head prop with just one player fit in that position. | :23:19. | :23:21.
Speaking at today's launch for the new season, | :23:22. | :23:23.
Ulster's Director of Rugby admitted it's a cause for concern. | :23:24. | :23:30.
We have lost three front-liners. The rest are younger guys. Part of it is | :23:31. | :23:44.
to have a duty of care. We are trying to look for solutions. And to | :23:45. | :23:49.
see what the injury time lines are for those tight heads. We have a | :23:50. | :23:53.
similar situation in the back row. We have a lot of young guys that we | :23:54. | :24:00.
are hoping can get their boots on. Chris Henry is out for another eight | :24:01. | :24:05.
weeks. But Shaun Reid is ready to come back from international duty. | :24:06. | :24:11.
Those things are important to us. It is not nice to have those injuries | :24:12. | :24:15.
but you have to find the solutions to the challenges. | :24:16. | :24:17.
The Ireland Men's hockey team have risen to 10th | :24:18. | :24:19.
That's their highest ever position and it follows their qualification | :24:20. | :24:23.
and participation in the Olympic tournament in Rio. | :24:24. | :24:25.
It was the first time an Ireland Men's team had been | :24:26. | :24:27.
Brendan Rodgers looks to guide Celtic into the group stages | :24:28. | :24:32.
The Carnlough man, in his first season in charge, knows his side | :24:33. | :24:36.
will have the luxury of a five-two lead from the first leg of their tie | :24:37. | :24:40.
against Hapoel Beer Sheva, going into tonight's match | :24:41. | :24:42.
When you talk about the great clubs of European football, you are | :24:43. | :24:50.
talking about Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, through the | :24:51. | :24:55.
various countries and then Celtic are synonymous with those clubs. You | :24:56. | :24:59.
are talking about big clubs historically in Europe and a team | :25:00. | :25:03.
that has won the European cup, you talking Glasgow Celtic. To be back | :25:04. | :25:12.
in amongst those clubs is a great honour for Celtic. It is great for | :25:13. | :25:16.
the supporters. There is a three goal difference in this game but it | :25:17. | :25:20.
will still be a tough game for us. I think it is our responsibility to | :25:21. | :25:25.
respect them, the opponent, but we know that as I said we are in a good | :25:26. | :25:28.
place. Meanwhile Stephen Kenny's Dundalk | :25:29. | :25:29.
will have to overturn a two-nil deficit against Legia Warsaw | :25:30. | :25:32.
in Poland if they're to become the first Irish side to reach | :25:33. | :25:34.
the Champions League group stages. The weather forecast | :25:35. | :25:37.
is next with Cecilia Daly. Not a great day today but thankfully | :25:38. | :25:47.
things are looking more cheery tomorrow. It is starting to dry up | :25:48. | :25:51.
in a lot of places at the moment. You can see from the satellite | :25:52. | :25:54.
picture, some brighter skies coming into the West. A bit of late | :25:55. | :25:58.
sunshine and the weather front that brought today's rain and drizzle is | :25:59. | :26:02.
clearing away. Maybe not the spectacular sunsets that many people | :26:03. | :26:06.
saw yesterday evening but there will be some dry weather around this | :26:07. | :26:10.
evening. It will get clearer as the night goes on and temperatures | :26:11. | :26:16.
dropping into single figures. A fresh start to Wednesday. Maybe one | :26:17. | :26:20.
or two spots of fog first thing but otherwise a really nice day. Great | :26:21. | :26:25.
for the end of the summer holidays. Lots of sunshine around in the | :26:26. | :26:30.
morning. Small amounts of cloud and although it will start cool, it will | :26:31. | :26:33.
start to feel warm towards lunchtime. Temperatures in the | :26:34. | :26:38.
afternoon around 19 Celsius, maybe even 21 in some spots. Light winds | :26:39. | :26:42.
as well. As the afternoon goes on, a little bit more cloud developing | :26:43. | :26:47.
over the West. That cloud may produce some light showers but most | :26:48. | :26:54.
places will stay found. -- fine. A nice sunny evening to come tomorrow | :26:55. | :27:00.
evening. You're not need your Wellington boots tomorrow night. And | :27:01. | :27:02.
then on Thursday, we are looking at just one or two showers. Again, a | :27:03. | :27:08.
lot of bright weather. Temperatures just a fraction down on tomorrow. | :27:09. | :27:11.
More chance of seeing some showers towards the end of the day. Friday, | :27:12. | :27:17.
a ridge of high pressure. Not too much anyway of rain over the next | :27:18. | :27:20.
couple of days but it is this low pressure we are looking at for the | :27:21. | :27:23.
coming weekend, bringing some wet weather at some stage this weekend. | :27:24. | :27:26.
At the moment, we still have a few things to tie-up with regards to the | :27:27. | :27:30.
timing of that rain. A nice day to come on Friday. Likely to see some | :27:31. | :27:33.
rain later on on Saturday. You can also keep in contact with us | :27:34. | :27:37.
