Fewer places for victims of domestic violence to escape from their

:00:11.:00:16.

abusive partners. Claims that council cutbacks will reduce the

:00:17.:00:19.

number of beds available in safe houses. Handling four times as many

:00:20.:00:26.

patients as it was designed for, calls for a new A department to be

:00:27.:00:31.

built at this hospital. The stories behind some of the

:00:32.:00:44.

weather photos sent to us in 2013. For victims of domestic violence, a

:00:45.:00:48.

safe house or a refuge may be the only place to get away from an

:00:49.:00:52.

abusive partner. But the number of beds available in Oxfordshire could

:00:53.:00:55.

be reduced if funding is cut. That's according to the county's Domestic

:00:56.:01:00.

Abuse Services. They say their budget could be cut by almost 40% if

:01:01.:01:04.

planned savings by the council go ahead.

:01:05.:01:13.

It is thought as many as one in three women will experience domestic

:01:14.:01:18.

abuse during their lifetimes. Women and men can be beaten so badly they

:01:19.:01:22.

need hospital treatment, or even be killed by the partner who claims to

:01:23.:01:27.

love them. Clear king escaped from an abusive relationship. I remember

:01:28.:01:34.

being in a ball on the floor while he was kicking hell out of me and

:01:35.:01:41.

thinking, this is not what Christmas is about. That is probably one of

:01:42.:01:48.

the worst feelings because it is a time when people should be looking

:01:49.:01:52.

after each other and a time for family, but not in so many cases.

:01:53.:01:59.

She managed to get away after seeking help from an Oxfordshire

:02:00.:02:04.

charity which offered her advice and a bed in a refuge. I know if I had

:02:05.:02:14.

not used that service and they had not given me the options and hope

:02:15.:02:24.

that they gave to me I probably would never be sat here talking to

:02:25.:02:29.

you. The charity which helps her, Oxfordshire Domestic Abuse Services

:02:30.:02:33.

is facing funding cuts from the council. Almost 40%. The manager of

:02:34.:02:39.

the charity says it will hit the front line. We may have to reduce

:02:40.:02:44.

helpline hours, and close refuge beds. It means that people will have

:02:45.:02:52.

less options to stay safe, to get the right advice, to be able to

:02:53.:02:58.

escape from an abusive relationship. The council are battling to save

:02:59.:03:01.

?264 million by 2018 and said... They stress that no decision has

:03:02.:03:23.

been taken yet. A block of flats in Aylesbury's been

:03:24.:03:27.

damaged after being struck by lightning during a storm this

:03:28.:03:34.

morning. These images were captured by people living nearby. Four

:03:35.:03:39.

families have been moved from the flats on Cockton Road into temporary

:03:40.:03:42.

accommodation. The road has been cordoned off while checks are

:03:43.:03:46.

carried out to ensure the flats are safe.

:03:47.:03:49.

The Environment Agency says it's monitoring river levels across

:03:50.:03:51.

Oxfordshire as further storms and heavy rain has battered parts of our

:03:52.:03:55.

region. Engineers have been out this afternoon clearing tributaries along

:03:56.:03:59.

the River Thames. Officials say they are comfortable with the situation,

:04:00.:04:02.

but are warning residents to be prepared for possible flooding, as

:04:03.:04:11.

water levels are continuing to rise. We are looking at monitoring river

:04:12.:04:15.

levels and deploying resources based on those river levels and working

:04:16.:04:19.

with colleagues at the Met Office and the forecast centre to ensure we

:04:20.:04:25.

can understand when the rainfall is coming and where it is likely to hit

:04:26.:04:29.

and match that with resources on the ground.

:04:30.:04:31.

There are calls for a new Accident and Emergency department to be built

:04:32.:04:34.

at Milton Keynes General Hospital. The current department is handling

:04:35.:04:37.

nearly four times more patients than it was designed to and it's

:04:38.:04:40.

consistently failed to meet waiting time targets. But the hospital says

:04:41.:04:43.

emergency government funding meant it did meet targets over this year's

:04:44.:04:54.

festive period. This was the calm after the storm.

:04:55.:04:59.

When I visited on those they many bays were empty and patients were

:05:00.:05:02.

being seen within the recommended times. I tripped and I fractured my

:05:03.:05:15.

thumb. How long have you been here? My experience has been quite good. I

:05:16.:05:22.

was extremely within 15 minutes. It was a different story on New Year's

:05:23.:05:28.

Day. To help ease the pressure in the summer, they were given ?2.7

:05:29.:05:35.

million, some of which paid for new beds to prevent ambulances stacking

:05:36.:05:40.

up outside. We have to ambulance bays or assessment base that we can

:05:41.:05:46.

adjust in the past few weeks so that we can start investigations, give

:05:47.:05:53.

pain relief. The money also paid for extra staff and services but many

:05:54.:05:58.

believe the only option is a larger A We are putting together a case

:05:59.:06:05.

for funding for a new A and an integrated front of the hospitals or

:06:06.:06:09.

people with minor injuries can still come to the site and be treated in a

:06:10.:06:13.

timely way but we will also make sure we have the acute A

:06:14.:06:22.

capacity. The case for a new A might seem clear`cut but with public

:06:23.:06:28.

money very much in short supply, where the funding might come to pay

:06:29.:06:36.

for one is not clear. Meanwhile, Oxford University

:06:37.:06:38.

Hospitals Trust says nearly 3,000 people attended A between

:06:39.:06:41.

Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. 93% of those were dealt with within

:06:42.:06:44.

four hours, 2% below the recommended target.

:06:45.:06:50.

Plans to charge people for some waste collection in Swindon have

:06:51.:06:54.

been approved. The changes mean anyone who wants green waste

:06:55.:06:57.

collected will have to pay ?40 a year from April. The council has

:06:58.:07:01.

also approved a change from weekly to fortnightly recycling collections

:07:02.:07:07.

in some parts of the town. The government has insisted there's

:07:08.:07:10.

no delay in Oxford's City Deal, a ?200 million plan to expand science

:07:11.:07:13.

and technology and bring thousands of jobs to the area. The project

:07:14.:07:18.

would see the major science centres at Harwell and Culham combine with

:07:19.:07:23.

Oxford's universities. The plans should have been approved by the

:07:24.:07:26.

government at the end of last year. So far the City Deal has not been

:07:27.:07:30.

signed off, but officials say it will be finalised soon. Negotiations

:07:31.:07:39.

have taken a little longer than expected because it is a

:07:40.:07:43.

comprehensive programme, we are looking to work with governments to

:07:44.:07:47.

bring that forward. We are very confident will will be able to do

:07:48.:07:52.

that over the course of this month. It will be a much more comprehensive

:07:53.:07:56.

approach and the amount of innovation built into it in housing

:07:57.:08:00.

and transport is greater than many other deals.

:08:01.:08:01.

Campaigners have staged a protest in Oxford to try to save the city's

:08:02.:08:05.

former greyhound stadium. The track closed in 2012 and plans have been

:08:06.:08:08.

submitted for more than 200 new homes on the site. But the

:08:09.:08:12.

proposals, which are due to be considered next week, have been

:08:13.:08:26.

recommended for refusal. Here to hand in their petition. More

:08:27.:08:34.

than 2,000 people have signed it. They want to see greyhound racing

:08:35.:08:39.

and speedway return to Oxford. I am hoping the people that wants to

:08:40.:08:44.

build on this will see the depths of heartfelt opposition to it to give

:08:45.:08:51.

us the pleasure, not only for the people of Oxford and the local

:08:52.:08:54.

community, but also for the Thames Valley. The dog track closed just

:08:55.:08:58.

over a year ago and remains unused. Other businesses are still operating

:08:59.:09:01.

from the stadium, like go`karting. If the plans go ahead, the

:09:02.:09:04.

businesses say they would be forced to close down. I cannot see another

:09:05.:09:14.

suitable venue. I could not raise the money needed to set up from

:09:15.:09:18.

scratch again. It is not just about the land, it is about laying down

:09:19.:09:23.

the track and things like that. It is not a viable option for us to

:09:24.:09:27.

move. It would be the end of go`karting. If you look at the

:09:28.:09:33.

businesses that are there, it is viable. There is so much happening

:09:34.:09:38.

there for the community. I do not see a why anybody would want to lose

:09:39.:09:41.

that. The application for homes to be built on the greyhound stadium

:09:42.:09:44.

has been recommended for refusal. But some argue that this is a

:09:45.:09:47.

necessary development to meet the demand for housing in Oxfordshire.

:09:48.:09:53.

This site is not zoned for housing, it is for recreation, it has been a

:09:54.:10:01.

stadium for more than 70 years. Housing is very important and there

:10:02.:10:04.

are other sites where housing should take less full is The Greyhound

:10:05.:10:06.

Racing Association and developers Galliard Homes haven't commented.

:10:07.:10:12.

Top the final decision on whether these homes will be built will be

:10:13.:10:16.

made by the City Council next Wednesday.

:10:17.:10:18.

Our next bulletin is at 10:25pm. his favourite hotel. Mrs house can

:10:19.:10:35.

welcome back a valued customer. Still to come, we showcase some of

:10:36.:10:41.

the very best weather pictures that you have taken and hear the stories

:10:42.:10:50.

of some of those behind the lens. Young offenders who commit crimes

:10:51.:10:54.

could be sentenced by other youths in a radical new scheme being

:10:55.:10:58.

piloted in Hampshire. Community courts will see young people act as

:10:59.:11:02.

prosecutors, defenders and jurors to sanction those who admit to

:11:03.:11:06.

low`level offences. It's the first time a scan of this kind has been

:11:07.:11:11.

trialled in the UK. The hope is that using positive peer pressure will

:11:12.:11:15.

help reduce youth offending rates. Our home affairs correspondent

:11:16.:11:18.

reports. The next case is a matter of

:11:19.:11:23.

criminal damage. It looks and sounds like a criminal court, but there's a

:11:24.:11:26.

difference. This is a community courts, where young people decide

:11:27.:11:31.

suitable sanctions for the young peers who have committed crimes.

:11:32.:11:35.

This is only a dramatisation, but from April, during site this will

:11:36.:11:40.

take place in Hampshire. It's not a court of law in the same way that a

:11:41.:11:44.

magistrate's courtiers. It's reversing, to a degree, the peer

:11:45.:11:51.

pressure that is often causing people to commit crime. Rather than

:11:52.:11:54.

having a young person tell someone to commit crime, they will say, you

:11:55.:11:59.

shouldn't have done that. The genetic will only deal with

:12:00.:12:02.

low`level offences, such as those eligible for the police warnings or

:12:03.:12:08.

a caution, such as setting fire to a bean. It won't determine guilt. The

:12:09.:12:12.

offender must have accepted responsibility for their actions and

:12:13.:12:15.

be willing to take part. The victim can choose to be present to explain

:12:16.:12:19.

the impact of the crime. It won't determine guilt. The offender must

:12:20.:12:21.

have accepted responsibility for their actions and be willing to take

:12:22.:12:23.

part. The victim can choose to be present to explain the impact of the

:12:24.:12:29.

crime. It's or ask the offender to carry out work in the community. The

:12:30.:12:32.

scheme will be supervised by Hampshire Police. We don't want

:12:33.:12:36.

people to think this is an easy ride. If you've done wrong, you will

:12:37.:12:42.

be more accountable to your peers. The difference is that we will have

:12:43.:12:51.

your case heard, but your sentence will be about rehabilitation and

:12:52.:12:56.

repairing relationships between the community and victims. This open day

:12:57.:13:00.

was the young people interested in taking part in the community court

:13:01.:13:05.

project. They have to apply to be a juror or advocates, and undergo full

:13:06.:13:09.

training. For the young offenders, it is have someone of their age help

:13:10.:13:14.

them or advise them or give them support, I think it's good for them.

:13:15.:13:19.

It might make them see sense. They could understand their problems.

:13:20.:13:24.

Such as peer pressure. I think it's quite nice, because we will be

:13:25.:13:31.

around the same age, so trying to talk to them and know what they are

:13:32.:13:36.

going through. There are some with reservations. Solicitor Emma Smith

:13:37.:13:40.

works with young offenders. People who may appear on the panel may have

:13:41.:13:45.

no idea what it is like to come from a family where a mother or father is

:13:46.:13:49.

an alcoholic or drug dependent. It may work, but I have reservations

:13:50.:13:55.

that they might see the people who are judging them as having very

:13:56.:13:59.

different backgrounds to where they came from. We the jury, find you

:14:00.:14:06.

should be given a community resolution. They could be a

:14:07.:14:13.

requirement to several years jury in future. Eventually they will become

:14:14.:14:16.

part of efforts to tackle youth crime. Whether this pioneering

:14:17.:14:20.

project helps reduce reoffending will determine if it's rolled out

:14:21.:14:29.

past its three`year pilot. Onto sport, and it's FA Cup

:14:30.:14:32.

third`round weekend as the Premier League and Championship sides enter

:14:33.:14:35.

the competition. On the eve of Reading's tie at Brighton, though,

:14:36.:14:38.

the club's ownership is back in the news.

:14:39.:14:42.

This is going to be one of the key developing stories of the month

:14:43.:14:44.

ahead. We told you before Christmas that Reading were talking to

:14:45.:14:47.

investors about a possible takeover. Tonight, the club is expecting a

:14:48.:14:50.

renewed bid from an American consortium who have been talking to

:14:51.:14:53.

them since the autumn. With Anton Zingarevich seemingly on the way out

:14:54.:14:56.

at the Madejski stadium, remember he hasn't been to a game at the ground

:14:57.:15:00.

since September. Reading have been searching for a solution. With key

:15:01.:15:03.

decisions to be made during January about players in and players out,

:15:04.:15:07.

time is of the essence. I'm told the Americans are in pole position.

:15:08.:15:12.

Reading are just one of our region's clubs involved in the third round of

:15:13.:15:16.

the FA Cup this weekend. They travel to Brighton tomorrow with boss Nigel

:15:17.:15:19.

Adkins, now one of the bookies' favourites for the West Brom job,

:15:20.:15:24.

hoping for a Cup run. You always want to do well in the FA

:15:25.:15:28.

Cup. We've got Brighton away, a quick turnaround. But I want us to

:15:29.:15:33.

have a good run. We want to have the strongest possible team up that we

:15:34.:15:36.

can do. Obviously the injuries and suspensions we've already alluded

:15:37.:15:39.

to. I'm not one to use them as excuses. Don't like excuses. But

:15:40.:15:42.

there are reasons and factors for thing.

:15:43.:15:45.

Southampton have refused to accept a decision by the Premier League's

:15:46.:15:47.

refereeing body not to investigate further comments made by Mark

:15:48.:15:50.

Clattenburg in an incident involving Adam Lallana last week. Saints'

:15:51.:15:54.

initial complaint was thrown out by the referees body, who considered

:15:55.:15:59.

the matter over. But Saints hit back this afternoon, claiming that

:16:00.:16:01.

Clattenburg's comments ` he's alleged to have said, "You're very

:16:02.:16:04.

different now you have played for England, you never used to be like

:16:05.:16:07.

this" ` merited further investigation. They've restated

:16:08.:16:11.

their desire for Clattenburg not to officiate any of their upcoming

:16:12.:16:15.

games. Meanwhile, Saints host Burnley in

:16:16.:16:18.

the FA Cup tomorrow. If selected, Saints striker Jay Rodriguez will be

:16:19.:16:22.

facing his former club. Rodriguez was born and bred in the Lancashire

:16:23.:16:25.

town, making his steps as a footballer in the north`west.

:16:26.:16:28.

Tomorrow, he faces the club who sold him to Saints for ?7 million.

:16:29.:16:34.

It would be a great feeling. It's an occasion to look forward to.

:16:35.:16:38.

Obviously I'm still a professional, and I have to perform for the team,

:16:39.:16:46.

which is Southampton. I've got to do my best and work hard to improve for

:16:47.:16:51.

myself and for my teamates. And the full interview with Jay

:16:52.:16:55.

Rodriguez can be seen on Football Focus tomorrow at 12:00pm on BBC

:16:56.:16:58.

One. One player not involved tomorrow is Dani Osvaldo. He's

:16:59.:17:01.

received a three`game ban today for his part in a scuffle in the dugout

:17:02.:17:07.

at Newcastle last month. 30 years ago, Bournemouth pulled off

:17:08.:17:10.

one of the great FA Cup upsets when they beat Manchester United at Dean

:17:11.:17:14.

Court. Tomorrow, they host Burton Albion of League Two. Manager Eddie

:17:15.:17:19.

Howe is likely to make some changes, including a return in goal for Ryan

:17:20.:17:22.

Allsop. Elsewhere, MK Dons are at the

:17:23.:17:29.

holders, Wigan. Oxford's tie at Charlton will now be played next

:17:30.:17:32.

Wednesday due to a waterlogged pitch at the Valley. Portsmouth's league

:17:33.:17:35.

match with Accrington has also been postponed.

:17:36.:17:41.

Michael Carberry's England career is hanging by a thread after the

:17:42.:17:44.

Hampshire batsman failed to score on day one of the fifth test in Sydney.

:17:45.:17:48.

It's thought Carberry needs to finish the tour well, but was

:17:49.:17:51.

dismissed for a duck early in England's reply to Australia's first

:17:52.:17:55.

innings of 326 all out at the SCG. The 33`year`old has averaged 30

:17:56.:17:57.

during the series, but England may turn to younger talent this summer

:17:58.:18:01.

if Carberry doesn't register a high score.

:18:02.:18:09.

With the arrival of the New Year, some people's thoughts turn to

:18:10.:18:12.

moving home. There's one particular house at Palestine near Andover

:18:13.:18:15.

which might catch the eye of Southampton football fans.

:18:16.:18:18.

The ?695,000 four`bed house looks like any normal home when you walk

:18:19.:18:22.

into the hallway ` but down in the basement, there's a surprise in

:18:23.:18:25.

store, as Sean Killick has been finding out. That second innings

:18:26.:18:30.

important In estate agent speak, it's an ideal family home in the

:18:31.:18:33.

countryside just over an hour's commute from London.

:18:34.:18:36.

But this 4`bed detached house has unique features, as owner Richard

:18:37.:18:40.

showed me. Down in the basement, there is a sizeable piece of

:18:41.:18:43.

football history, the dugout from Southampton's old football ground,

:18:44.:18:47.

the Dell. It's five metres wide, and the basement of the self`build home

:18:48.:18:50.

was redesigned to accommodate it. Lifelong Saints fan Richard bought

:18:51.:18:53.

it in 2001, when items from the ground were being auctioned off

:18:54.:19:01.

after the final game there. Richard was building his house at the time

:19:02.:19:05.

and decided the dugout would make a winning feature for his underground

:19:06.:19:10.

sports room. For ?240, it was his. Since then, he and his family have

:19:11.:19:14.

watched hundreds of matches in it on TV, sitting in a dugout used by some

:19:15.:19:18.

of the greatest managers in English football.

:19:19.:19:21.

It still gives me goose bumps to actually include names like our

:19:22.:19:24.

current England manager, Roy Hodgson, Blackburn in '98. Sir Alex

:19:25.:19:32.

Ferguson, Sir Bobby Robson. It's a who's who of English

:19:33.:19:35.

football, isn't it? Yeah. Kevin Keegan, Brian Robinson.

:19:36.:19:41.

Glenn Hoddle, Terry Venables. The list is endless.

:19:42.:19:46.

As well as the dugout, the other star attraction is this turnstile,

:19:47.:19:49.

which dates back to 1898. It's amazing to think how many people

:19:50.:19:52.

must have walked through this on their way into the Dell. There's

:19:53.:19:55.

plenty of other memorabilia in this basement shrine to the Saints, which

:19:56.:19:58.

was given an official opening by club legend Lawrie McMenemy. One of

:19:59.:20:02.

the rooms has been named in his honour. But Richard and his wife,

:20:03.:20:09.

Jean, are downsizing, and prepared to sell the collection with the

:20:10.:20:12.

house, separately. Gut`renching. If I thought we could

:20:13.:20:18.

take any of it with us, we would. I don't know what Lawrie would think

:20:19.:20:22.

of it, especially his suite. When the final whistle blows, this

:20:23.:20:26.

is one loss Richard will find particularly hard to take.

:20:27.:20:42.

Every night on South Today, we offer you the chance to show off your

:20:43.:20:44.

fabulous weather pictures. Hundreds of you get out ` in all weathers `

:20:45.:20:49.

across the south every day, and send us your view of the region.

:20:50.:20:53.

We can only show a few on the programme each night, but our

:20:54.:20:56.

Facebook page has become home to many of the pictures you send us.

:20:57.:20:59.

Alexis Green has been taking a look back at some of the best photos you

:21:00.:21:04.

sent in 2013, and has been to hear the stories of some of those behind

:21:05.:21:06.

the lens. Weather`wise, 2013 gave us

:21:07.:21:09.

everything from frost and snow to the blue skies of summer. And

:21:10.:21:13.

through the year, you've sent us your pictures taken around the

:21:14.:21:19.

region. We show some of them on the programme, and post more on Facebook

:21:20.:21:24.

as often as we can. One of our regular contributors, Raymond, took

:21:25.:21:26.

this picture of Salisbury Cathedral back in September. But I went to

:21:27.:21:33.

meet him at another of his favourite locations in Guildford.

:21:34.:21:37.

I do like historic Guildford in itself. I think we are blessed in

:21:38.:21:42.

this area because of the history of the castle going back to about 1086.

:21:43.:21:48.

I think it's a fitting composition. You've got a massive selection of

:21:49.:21:52.

photos that you sent in. Tell me about this one.

:21:53.:21:55.

I think that was a pretty cold day when I took that. This is down by

:21:56.:21:59.

the River Way. A lot of people feed their pigeons. I'm learning all the

:22:00.:22:02.

time. I learn from photography magazines, the Internet, YouTube,

:22:03.:22:06.

and when I'm out and about, I always come across professional

:22:07.:22:08.

photographers who are willing to give advice.

:22:09.:22:14.

Lynn Roger's husband, Graham, was another keen photographer who

:22:15.:22:16.

enjoyed sharing his pictures with South Today.

:22:17.:22:24.

This lifeboat station is a special place for both of us. It was his

:22:25.:22:29.

favourite place. Graham was passionate about photography. He

:22:30.:22:32.

really loved it and he was especially proud to see it used on

:22:33.:22:36.

the television. Just before he passed away, it was the lifeboat

:22:37.:22:39.

station that was his favourite photo that he sent in to South Today, and

:22:40.:22:43.

to see it there really lifted his spirits. He wanted to go out and

:22:44.:22:47.

take more photos, which made the last few days really happy for him.

:22:48.:22:52.

Over the water in Gosport, Maureen Coles has a room with a view.

:22:53.:22:58.

This is the view. Look at that! Portsmouth Harbour. It's incredible.

:22:59.:23:03.

As day turns to night, the picture changes dramatically.

:23:04.:23:07.

About ten minutes later, the clouds came over the moon and I would never

:23:08.:23:11.

have got the chance again. I'm here at all times of day, so I can get

:23:12.:23:15.

the views first thing in the morning. The afternoon is wonderful

:23:16.:23:20.

because of the light. I like to try to catch the light on the buildings,

:23:21.:23:24.

if I can. I absolutely love sending my photos in. It's so exciting to

:23:25.:23:28.

spot something, and you think, "That would be brilliant to send in". You

:23:29.:23:34.

send them off and wait for them to appear, and of course you get all

:23:35.:23:37.

the people who are the Facebook followers, and it's wonderful when

:23:38.:23:40.

you get a good response to your picture.

:23:41.:23:48.

Here are some more of your photos from 2013.

:23:49.:23:51.

Lovely pictures. Thank you to everyone who sent us a

:23:52.:24:32.

picture last year. Sorry we can't name you all. Please keep them

:24:33.:24:35.

coming this year. Our email address is [email protected]. And there

:24:36.:24:38.

are more pictures on our Facebook page, BBC South Today. Beautiful

:24:39.:24:50.

pictures. We've had some lovely ones, despite the weather. We've

:24:51.:24:54.

shown a few storm winds, but we've had a mixed bag today. We had a few

:24:55.:24:58.

hailstorms. Take a look at these hailstones

:24:59.:25:02.

collected by Henny Grant. The peas give you an idea of how big they

:25:03.:25:06.

were when they came down just north of Hungerford.

:25:07.:25:08.

Incredibly big waves at Stokes Bay ` two walkers there about to get a

:25:09.:25:12.

soaking by the looks of it. Thank you to Roger Forster for braving the

:25:13.:25:14.

storm. But it wasn't all thunder and

:25:15.:25:17.

lightning ` Sandy Burnfield captured this beautiful sunset over the River

:25:18.:25:24.

Test at Longstock in Hampshire. We have some more of those scattered

:25:25.:25:27.

showers to come over the next few hours. Plenty of weather warnings

:25:28.:25:31.

through the weekend. One or two downpours this evening. More hail

:25:32.:25:36.

and blunder. They showers do is the first part of the night. The winds

:25:37.:25:41.

is down. We've seen the peak now, but we could see gusts up to 70 mph

:25:42.:25:47.

early this evening. Later tonight, we see another area of wet weather

:25:48.:25:50.

arriving. This could bring us some intense spells of rain, again some

:25:51.:25:58.

hail and rain too. Temperatures for all five degrees. A warnings about

:25:59.:26:04.

southeastern corner seeing up to 30 millimetres of rain. That band of

:26:05.:26:08.

rain shifts quite nicely into the afternoon. Dry conditions, brighter

:26:09.:26:13.

paps as well if you are lucky. A glimmer or two of sun shines.

:26:14.:26:17.

Temperatures up to 10 degrees, and the wind is lighter than today.

:26:18.:26:21.

Tomorrow evening, more intense showers. Once again, maybe some rain

:26:22.:26:28.

or fund. For tomorrow night, this spells developing. Some patchy fog

:26:29.:26:33.

developing. Temperatures close to freezing. We could see Frost versus

:26:34.:26:37.

being Sunday morning. A risk of ice as well. This is the area of low

:26:38.:26:42.

pressure that is taking out whether through during the day on Sunday.

:26:43.:26:47.

Not quite as terrible as we first thought, but the find will still

:26:48.:26:50.

bring is substantial rain once again will stop we could see up to 30

:26:51.:26:54.

millimetres in some localised spots, especially coastal counties like

:26:55.:27:00.

I'll `` Isle Of Wight. Wind is not quite as strong as today. Those

:27:01.:27:04.

still a gusty day. Warnings were both days this weekend. More intense

:27:05.:27:11.

spells of rain. As we start the new working week, scattered showers on

:27:12.:27:15.

the way, but easing down for Tuesday. Still plenty more weather

:27:16.:27:19.

to come, so disruption is possible. Localised flooding.

:27:20.:27:28.

Thank you so much. Take care of this weekend. For the latest on travel

:27:29.:27:34.

and traffic, listen to your local BBC Radio station.

:27:35.:27:37.

We'll be back with a bulletin at 10:25pm. That's it from us this

:27:38.:27:41.

evening. Good night.
