Hello and welcome to South Today. In tonight's programme, the flood

:00:00.:00:08.

waters abate. As rivers return to being roads, we assess the damage

:00:09.:00:11.

done and what's being done to prevent a repeat.

:00:12.:00:16.

Also, should plans for a gravel pit and landfill site be blocked amid

:00:17.:00:19.

fears they could make flooding worse?

:00:20.:00:24.

And later on, all the action from the weekend's football. Could Oxford

:00:25.:00:25.

silence the Pompey chimes? Good evening. River levels through

:00:26.:00:39.

Oxfordshire will remain high for several days yet, but there's real

:00:40.:00:43.

hope tonight that the worst of the flooding is now over. Most of the

:00:44.:00:47.

major roads that had been closed are now reopened. Attention has shifted

:00:48.:00:55.

today towards cleaning up the mess that's been left behind, and

:00:56.:00:58.

assessing how effectively the situation has been handled. Tom

:00:59.:01:02.

Turrell's been to meet people caught up in the chaos of recent days.

:01:03.:01:07.

The scene last week as I made my way into the village of Binsey in Oxford

:01:08.:01:10.

with the help of Stephen Cobb and his canoe. But what a difference a

:01:11.:01:14.

couple of days can make. We were looking out and watching it ebbing

:01:15.:01:21.

away and a huge sense of relief, that we were surrounded by water but

:01:22.:01:23.

it was going. Just off the Botley Road in Oxford

:01:24.:01:27.

and the watermark left behind is one of the few signs of just how serious

:01:28.:01:33.

the situation was. If I had been standing here just a few days ago,

:01:34.:01:37.

the water would have been right up to my knees. But now the sun is

:01:38.:01:41.

bright, the ground is relatively dry and the sandbags have been taken

:01:42.:01:42.

away. At their worst, the floods took two

:01:43.:01:45.

lives. Today, the 73`year`old man who was killed when flood water

:01:46.:01:49.

swept him off his bicycle in Wytham was named as Ian Taylor. At the

:01:50.:01:54.

Environment Agency in Oxford, the respite from the wet weather,

:01:55.:01:57.

though, means equipment can be brought back for vital maintenance.

:01:58.:02:05.

Things are starting to get back to a bit more of normality now, we are

:02:06.:02:09.

seeing the roads opening back into Oxford, levels go down quite

:02:10.:02:13.

significantly now from where they were over the weekend. Businesses

:02:14.:02:16.

are starting to get back to normal as well.

:02:17.:02:19.

But for the Wilsons, the dry spell means they've been able to finish

:02:20.:02:22.

mopping up after a couple of centimetres covered their living

:02:23.:02:27.

room floor. In fact, yesterday it was still waterlogged on the floor

:02:28.:02:30.

but we managed to sweep it with the use of our pump and puddle suckers

:02:31.:02:37.

and mopped it up, we were able to get rid of it.

:02:38.:02:39.

As the flood water retreats, the clear`up operation goes on, but with

:02:40.:02:42.

the ground now saturated, the Environment Agency says it can't

:02:43.:02:46.

rule out more trouble in the days and weeks ahead.

:02:47.:02:51.

Rodney Rose is the deputy leader of Oxfordshire County Council. A short

:02:52.:02:54.

time ago I asked him if, in his view, the recent flooding has been

:02:55.:03:03.

handled properly. I think in inspiration go to all the

:03:04.:03:05.

authorities and it is the whole partnership that has done it, from

:03:06.:03:09.

the Environment Agency to planning, obviously the Fire and Rescue

:03:10.:03:13.

Service, the highways and district councils, the list goes on. Flooding

:03:14.:03:18.

is becoming more regular, do we need a new approach to it? If we get this

:03:19.:03:26.

first year for ten years, it will be so distracted to linger,

:03:27.:03:32.

destructive. Also for the economy of this city and for the county so I

:03:33.:03:36.

think we have to look at it in a bit more depth. I gather you have called

:03:37.:03:41.

a flood summit in March, is there any danger that this could just be

:03:42.:03:48.

more torque and not action? There are some green shoots coming through

:03:49.:03:51.

what we have done some modelling on three schemes and this new channel

:03:52.:04:00.

has been estimated at around ?4 million, if we can do that for a

:04:01.:04:07.

start, it. Off the 120 million of the channel is estimated to be. It

:04:08.:04:12.

is not just Oxford city centre as well. Is that not what is needed to

:04:13.:04:18.

get the investment in and quickly? The economic problems will give us

:04:19.:04:28.

the spur. Thank you very much. There is some rain in the forecast coming

:04:29.:04:33.

up later and tonight's Inside Out looks at the effects of the recent

:04:34.:04:36.

flooding. Jon Cuthill has been delivering supplies by the swollen

:04:37.:04:40.

River Thames and look in great detail at how much that has been

:04:41.:04:45.

happening. Meanwhile, as the water begins to

:04:46.:04:48.

slowly subside, people in one South Oxfordshire village are calling for

:04:49.:04:52.

the Government to review plans for a new gravel pit and landfill site,

:04:53.:04:55.

which they fear could exacerbate future flooding. Plans to extract

:04:56.:04:57.

gravel from beneath fields near Sonning have already been approved.

:04:58.:05:03.

But the land, close to the River Thames, is currently underwater.

:05:04.:05:11.

Over that way, just the armed there is the old gravel pit. Gravel has

:05:12.:05:15.

been exerted from here for decades which is why there are so many lakes

:05:16.:05:19.

here but the next phase of gravel extraction is worrying people here

:05:20.:05:23.

as the proposed site is currently under water. We all bought our

:05:24.:05:26.

houses knowing that the water would come round them all go in them and

:05:27.:05:30.

we don't have a problem with that but we don't want to see a situation

:05:31.:05:35.

where it is made worse for somebody else's profit at our expense. If you

:05:36.:05:39.

take gravel and sand out which drains water very well and replace

:05:40.:05:43.

it with something that does not, for somebody else's profit at our

:05:44.:05:45.

expense. If you take gravel and sand out which drains water very well and

:05:46.:05:48.

replace it with something that does not, flood title probably increase.

:05:49.:05:50.

A lot of rubble is currently recycled from building sites and the

:05:51.:05:52.

material that cannot would be buried here once the gravel has been

:05:53.:05:57.

extracted. Oxfordshire's planners approve the application but want the

:05:58.:06:00.

Government to make sure they are not going against national planning

:06:01.:06:03.

regulations which suggests landfill should not be located in a flood

:06:04.:06:07.

zone. There are assessments being done on flood risk all the time but

:06:08.:06:11.

they are being done by different companies who are coming up with

:06:12.:06:14.

completely different results. This is an issue that needs to be

:06:15.:06:18.

resolved once and for all and that's why this needs to go to the

:06:19.:06:22.

Secretary of State. In a statement, the time a company said it

:06:23.:06:26.

recognises residents' concerns but says that it works will not increase

:06:27.:06:31.

the flood risk. And the Environment Agency has come to the same

:06:32.:06:34.

conclusion. The issue will affect thousands, nobody wants to see the

:06:35.:06:39.

bridge at Sonning close because of flooding any more than usual.

:06:40.:06:43.

Proposals for Oxfordshire's first Park and Ride site outside the city

:06:44.:06:46.

of Oxford itself have been approved by councillors. The owners of the

:06:47.:06:49.

Bicester Village shopping outlet will fund the ?3 million car park on

:06:50.:06:53.

land close to the complex off the A41. It will serve both the site and

:06:54.:06:56.

drivers heading into Bicester itself, and regular buses will also

:06:57.:07:00.

run into central Oxford. The aim is to have the facility up and running

:07:01.:07:04.

before next Christmas. Traders in Bicester have welcomed the scheme

:07:05.:07:07.

which they say should help reduce traffic congestion which has been a

:07:08.:07:11.

problem at peak times. An organisation in West Oxfordshire

:07:12.:07:14.

which uses horses to help people deal with emotional problems is at

:07:15.:07:18.

risk of closing down, if it can't find a new site by the end of this

:07:19.:07:22.

month. Hope Through Horses, based near Chipping Norton, has been

:07:23.:07:25.

running for seven years. It provides support for people with things like

:07:26.:07:28.

eating disorders, depression and also autism. The therapists are

:07:29.:07:32.

currently renting the land, but the owners need it back. Some of the

:07:33.:07:36.

horses could be put down if they can't find a new home. The end

:07:37.:07:43.

result is Hope Through Horses has to close and that means that a lot of

:07:44.:07:47.

people will find themselves with nowhere else to turn to because we

:07:48.:07:52.

are from the end of the line for many people. We need this kind of

:07:53.:07:55.

environment for this approach to work.

:07:56.:07:59.

While many local councils have done away with weekly bin collections,

:08:00.:08:02.

Milton Keynes has been singled out for Government praise, because it

:08:03.:08:05.

has managed to maintain them, while still cutting costs. The town is now

:08:06.:08:09.

planning to go a step further by using food waste to fuel its fleet

:08:10.:08:19.

of rubbish trucks. Time to get rid of rubbish on bin

:08:20.:08:25.

day for recycling and glass as well. Every day, 16 crews are collecting

:08:26.:08:29.

across Milton Keynes and they gather almost 200 tonnes of rubbish and

:08:30.:08:36.

about 60 tonnes of recycling. In a new report, offering guidance to

:08:37.:08:40.

other councils, Eric Pickles has highlighted Milton Keynes as an area

:08:41.:08:47.

she's kept `` which has kept weekly collections and is saving money.

:08:48.:08:51.

Lots of local authorities say they have to reduce things, we think it

:08:52.:08:55.

is nonsense and we are the proof that it is nonsense and you can have

:08:56.:08:59.

weekly collections, high recycling rates and actually deliver a better

:09:00.:09:02.

service and that is what we are proving. I seem to be ahead of most

:09:03.:09:10.

other councils. I like it weekly, I would not like it to go to

:09:11.:09:15.

fortnightly. The council is adapting lorries to

:09:16.:09:18.

run on low`cost fuel made from recycled food waste. It is using

:09:19.:09:23.

?1.8 million of government funding and anticipates the move will save

:09:24.:09:30.

?150,000 a year and help to retain weekly collections. The council says

:09:31.:09:35.

a new waste facility opening in 2016 will help save more money and reduce

:09:36.:09:39.

the amount of rubbish going to landfill.

:09:40.:09:42.

That's all from me for the moment. Action from the football involving

:09:43.:09:47.

Swindon, MK Dons and Oxford coming up in a few minutes as South Today

:09:48.:09:49.

continues with Sally Taylor. was cordoned off while a forensic

:09:50.:10:04.

examination took place. Still to come: Maybe it is an old wreck, but

:10:05.:10:12.

it has had its moment. And this battery`powered car designed on the

:10:13.:10:16.

Isle of Wight. It was decades ahead of its time. A shmpshire town that

:10:17.:10:28.

was promised superfast broadband three years ago says BT still hasn't

:10:29.:10:34.

got them all connected. The town won a competition called the race to

:10:35.:10:40.

infinity run by BT. Despite beating other towns, many people are still

:10:41.:10:44.

waiting for a fast internet connection. Outside Whitchurch, Paul

:10:45.:10:52.

runs a photography business and there is no shortage of work, but it

:10:53.:10:57.

is on the return from the job that his problems begin. He needs the

:10:58.:11:02.

internet, it is so slow the process can take hours. It is painfully

:11:03.:11:09.

slow, it is intermittment. We do our wedding alup withes `` albums on

:11:10.:11:15.

line and the speed sois that slow I have had to leave them uploading

:11:16.:11:20.

over night. The town should be an example for others. It entered and

:11:21.:11:24.

won a competition run by BT called the race for infinity. The prize `

:11:25.:11:29.

superfast broadband for all. But the celebrations soon came to an end,

:11:30.:11:33.

three years on and that promise still hasn't arrived. Then the pub

:11:34.:11:40.

was the centre of the campaign. We were promised faster broadband for

:11:41.:11:44.

all the premises in the exchange area. It is awfully frustrated. We

:11:45.:11:53.

were used as a PR exercise by BT to promote their service and it hasn't

:11:54.:11:59.

been delivered. The roll out stalled, deadlines were missed and

:12:00.:12:04.

some estimate that 20% of homes and businesses are still in the internet

:12:05.:12:09.

slow lane. BT says the majority of homes do have access to superfast

:12:10.:12:15.

broadband and that these cabinets will soon have the whole town

:12:16.:12:18.

connected and it will investigate any issues and said it will meet

:12:19.:12:25.

with residents in the coming weeks. Online speed tests confirmed just

:12:26.:12:29.

how bad the service for some still is. Connections can be as low as one

:12:30.:12:34.

or two megabits per second. In theory a Superfast package would be

:12:35.:12:43.

up to 70. Until that is available, the frustrations will continue. The

:12:44.:13:08.

most senior officer at the Isle of Wight council is set to have his pay

:13:09.:13:12.

cut by more than ?10,000. The authority has already scrapped the

:13:13.:13:15.

role of Chief Executive and other changes to senior management and

:13:16.:13:18.

services are planned in the drive to save money. Funding cuts isn't the

:13:19.:13:21.

only major issue the council is having to deal with. Laura Trant

:13:22.:13:25.

reports. In times of austerity it no surprise the Isle of Wight Council

:13:26.:13:28.

is making savings. But it's the Managing Director who will be next

:13:29.:13:32.

in line to tighten his belt. Dave Burbege has taken on extra duties

:13:33.:13:36.

and faces a pay cut of more than ?12,000 from his ?123,000 salary. If

:13:37.:13:38.

our MD can bring his salary down below 100,000, then so can others

:13:39.:13:43.

and they can move forward. The council has a large budget gap and

:13:44.:13:50.

proposed areas of saving are cutting down on senior managers and removing

:13:51.:13:55.

free car parking and reducing residential care for older people.

:13:56.:14:00.

The council has another pressing problem ` the Island's schools. With

:14:01.:14:03.

some of the lowest GCSE results and the worst level of secondary school

:14:04.:14:06.

pupil absences in the country, Hampshire County council has been

:14:07.:14:09.

brought in to run Children's Services. A council report describes

:14:10.:14:14.

its schools as in a "parlous state" Children's outcomes were temporarily

:14:15.:14:16.

damaged by the recent schools reorganisation Schools felt

:14:17.:14:18.

abandoned because of council failings And an infusion of people

:14:19.:14:21.

is needed to energise the system, along with stringent improvement

:14:22.:14:33.

targets. My nephew has started school and is coming along well. But

:14:34.:14:39.

it does worry you. It is my grandchildren now, but I'm as

:14:40.:14:42.

concerned for them as I was for my own. And very poor. My daughter goes

:14:43.:14:51.

to one that is classed as good. But the secondary school, if I was to

:14:52.:14:57.

choose one, I would struggle. Today the council's employment committee

:14:58.:15:00.

recommended to approve the managing Director's pay cut. It's expected

:15:01.:15:03.

that ` along with numerous other cuts will be rubber stamped in

:15:04.:15:17.

February. Recents fear that floods could result in additional homes in

:15:18.:15:27.

their area. The area which is less prone to flooding is already being

:15:28.:15:31.

targeted by visitors. Our correspondent is at a public meeting

:15:32.:15:37.

there. Ress dents angry at this idea aren't they? `` residents. Yes,

:15:38.:15:42.

hundreds are expected here for a parish council meeting to here Llan

:15:43.:15:49.

plans for `` ` plans for 600 new homes. They fear a decision could

:15:50.:16:03.

result in many hundreds more. Arun district council last week agreed

:16:04.:16:06.

580 new homes will be built in the district in the next 15 years. It

:16:07.:16:09.

was originally proposed 1,000 would be built on the West Bank of Arun at

:16:10.:16:13.

Littlehampton and 2,000 other would go. But recent flooding of those

:16:14.:16:16.

areas caused councillors to rethink the precise allocation. That's

:16:17.:16:19.

caused anxiety in the areas where there is less of a flood risk.

:16:20.:16:22.

They're worried their quota could now be increased. There is a fear

:16:23.:16:29.

that that might very well happen, yes. Where are the houses that were

:16:30.:16:33.

going to be built in the flooded area now going to be built? And we

:16:34.:16:36.

may well find ourselves disadvantaged in that respect.

:16:37.:16:39.

Tonight developers will be outlining plans for 600 new homes. Residents

:16:40.:16:46.

fear added pressure on infrastructure specially roads, but

:16:47.:16:48.

the council says development can bring benefits too. We are looking

:16:49.:16:52.

to see how we can use new development which we have to provide

:16:53.:16:55.

for to help deliver some of those improvements that people would like

:16:56.:16:58.

to see. The existing bypass was actually funded by development

:16:59.:17:04.

itself. So there is a good example of what can be achieved. Well the

:17:05.:17:11.

developers who will make the presentation here say their plan

:17:12.:17:16.

will bring benefits, including jobs, open spaces and infrastructure. The

:17:17.:17:19.

meeting starts in the next hour and I will report on it in our programme

:17:20.:17:26.

at 10.30 tonight. Thank you. And now sport and Tony is here and we start

:17:27.:17:35.

with boxing and great success. Yes Ebony Jones is off to Serbia for

:17:36.:17:42.

another event and got another gold medal. She is a star to watch for

:17:43.:17:50.

the future. Jones is celebrating more international success in the

:17:51.:17:53.

ring. The teenager from Heart of Portsmouth boxing club won gold at

:17:54.:17:56.

the European Nations Cup, beating an opponent from Russia in the final.

:17:57.:17:59.

It's Ebonie's latest success after a gold at the European championships

:18:00.:18:03.

last year and a bronze medal at the world championships. Southampton

:18:04.:18:05.

fans saw more speculation about their left back Luke Shaw in the

:18:06.:18:08.

Sunday papers yesterday, one report said Manchester City were bidding

:18:09.:18:11.

?30 million for him. Last week a source told me Shaw was highly

:18:12.:18:14.

unlikely to go anywhere anytime soon. Another Saints star Adam

:18:15.:18:17.

Lallana got the winner against West Brom on Saturday. Adam Lallana

:18:18.:18:23.

scoring the only goal and handing his mum a very public happy birthday

:18:24.:18:31.

greeting. Onto the football league action and

:18:32.:18:46.

Neither side managed to break the deadlock and they occupy the final

:18:47.:18:54.

play`off place in the two. Swindon's results remain patchy on

:18:55.:18:57.

the road but that impressive form at the County ground continues. Goals

:18:58.:19:02.

from Yaser Kasim and Nile Ranger put them on course to get the points

:19:03.:19:05.

against Peterborough. The visitors made a fight of it in more ways than

:19:06.:19:10.

one, the spectacular effort from Nathaniel Knight`Percival found the

:19:11.:19:14.

net but after reducing the deficit, they were reduced to ten men.

:19:15.:19:19.

Tempers flared on the touchline. The MK Dons remained unbeaten in 2014

:19:20.:19:25.

after seeing off Shrewsbury. The opener claimed by Dele Alli and the

:19:26.:19:31.

Shrews refused to be tamed showing an equaliser, only for Chris Long to

:19:32.:19:37.

put the home side back in front. After the break, Dean Bowditch gave

:19:38.:19:42.

them a question after his return from injury and that strike ensured

:19:43.:19:48.

that the goal by Jo Jacobson was only a

:19:49.:19:49.

helped it in. And there was nothing the keeper could go about Gomez's

:19:50.:19:54.

third. Several local sailors featured prominently amongst the

:19:55.:19:57.

podium finishers at the pre`Olympic regatta in Rio's Guanabara Bay.

:19:58.:20:01.

Lee`on`Solent's Alain Sign and Dylan Fletcher took gold in the 49er

:20:02.:20:04.

class, their victory came after complaints from several sailors

:20:05.:20:06.

about the unhygienic water conditions, and debris in the bay

:20:07.:20:13.

leading to problems in races. Giles Scott won in the Finn. And

:20:14.:20:16.

Lymington's Nick Thompson took silver in the laser. Aldershot

:20:17.:20:20.

Farnham and District runner Emilia Gorecka made a terrific debut to her

:20:21.:20:23.

senior cross country career on Saturday at the Great Edinburgh Run

:20:24.:20:28.

event. The 19`year`old finished third in the women's 6 kilometre

:20:29.:20:31.

run, she had held second placed for much of the event before her legs

:20:32.:20:35.

tired near the finish. Charlotte Purdue was 5th. In the men's 8

:20:36.:20:38.

kilometre race Andy Vernon from Fareham was second. Well done to

:20:39.:20:47.

them and not bad weather up there. Where was that bay? I think we will

:20:48.:20:56.

be saying it a lot. Better get used to that. Did you know that cars were

:20:57.:21:01.

once manufactured on the Isle of Wight. Forty years ago, the concept

:21:02.:21:05.

of a small, battery powered city car was revolutionary. The car passed

:21:06.:21:07.

its safety tests with flying colours, but after four years the

:21:08.:21:10.

business collapsed. In the first of three reports about the south's

:21:11.:21:13.

forgotten car makers, our Transport Correspondent Paul Clifton looks at

:21:14.:21:18.

a car that was ahead of its time. The electric Enfield 8000. If you've

:21:19.:21:24.

not heard of it before, don't worry. Most people haven't. Even on the

:21:25.:21:27.

Isle of Wight, where it was designed and built. But in the 1970s it

:21:28.:21:40.

featured on the children's programme Blue Peter. Cars like this may be

:21:41.:21:44.

the answer to towns and cities of future. It's given me many years of

:21:45.:21:53.

service. Today Barry owns three of them. Why do you keep three of these

:21:54.:21:59.

cars? Because I love them. When I was in the town I had a lead coming

:22:00.:22:02.

through the window to the back of it. To plug it in and go? Yes. It

:22:03.:22:09.

has done less than 6,000 miles? Kilometres. Oh, it iskph teshgs it

:22:10.:22:14.

hasn't been very far? No. A team of 12 people made the car in this old

:22:15.:22:22.

hangar that once stood beside Cowes airport. The electricity council

:22:23.:22:27.

ordered 60 cars, which had a top speed of 48mph. The Queen Mother

:22:28.:22:34.

tried one. Well... Hidden at the back of Barry's garage is one of the

:22:35.:22:41.

early models. Well! My goodness. A blast from the past. John designed

:22:42.:22:47.

and built it. It was very aerodynamic, which was important.

:22:48.:22:54.

And the whole formula, the whole concept was very advanced, as you

:22:55.:22:57.

might say. The first five cars were built on the island. After a strike

:22:58.:23:03.

by the workers, production was moved to a Greek island and the cars were

:23:04.:23:08.

shipped back to Cowes forfeiting out. But this car had the similar

:23:09.:23:14.

problems as today's electric cars. It cost twice as much as a mini and

:23:15.:23:23.

its range was less than 60 miles. Just over a hundred cars were built

:23:24.:23:28.

and a handful remain. This one has seen better days. They also made

:23:29.:23:37.

this car, a luxury saloon. Only one was built. Barry owns this one too.

:23:38.:23:41.

When you left this project, what else did you do? I became a deck

:23:42.:23:50.

chair attendant! And then? Well, one day I was on the deck chair, yes

:23:51.:23:57.

yes, any way, I designed Fuss 2, which brought the world land speed

:23:58.:24:04.

record back to Britain. John's design reached 650mph. But the

:24:05.:24:11.

Enfield 8,000 was way ahead of its time, paving the way for today's

:24:12.:24:20.

electric city cars. A great looking car. Tomorrow we are are going to

:24:21.:24:24.

look at what was called the scout car. You might know about that. It

:24:25.:24:29.

was before the First World War and made in Salisbury. Paul is loving

:24:30.:24:35.

this series. On to the weather. What is it looking like? Well it is

:24:36.:24:41.

unsettled, some rain, was some sunshine as well and ice.

:24:42.:24:51.

Raymond's dog is getting ready for the next bout of rain. Alan took

:24:52.:25:02.

this photograph of tufted ducks on the lake. We had some beefy showers

:25:03.:25:07.

today and tonight further showers associated with that, some quite

:25:08.:25:11.

gusty wind and even some thunder and hail. Once the showers disappear,

:25:12.:25:19.

there the risk of ice on untreated surfaces. So the showers could be

:25:20.:25:23.

heavy and thundery, pushing in from the South West. Moving east. Eastern

:25:24.:25:28.

areas holding on to the ground and `` cloud and rain. And there is a

:25:29.:25:34.

Met Office yellow warning in force for icy stretches on untreated

:25:35.:25:40.

roads. Temperatures tonight down to two Celsius in towns and city, but

:25:41.:25:44.

down to freezing in the countryside. So there may be a frost first thing

:25:45.:25:49.

in parts of Dorset and ice with mist and fog patches. The mist and fog

:25:50.:25:54.

patches may struggle to lift during the morning. But they will clear, as

:25:55.:25:58.

will the rain in the east and the cloud and we will see some sunny

:25:59.:26:02.

spells developing. In fact a pretty decent day, probably the best day of

:26:03.:26:06.

the working week with temperatures up to five to eight Celsius. The

:26:07.:26:10.

winds light tomorrow as well. Tomorrow night we see further rain.

:26:11.:26:16.

Not amounting to much. Patchy rain and maybe some hill fog as well,

:26:17.:26:20.

with taechltds `` temperatures down to three to eight Celsius. The winds

:26:21.:26:24.

pick up speed on Wednesday and that is due to a weather front pushing in

:26:25.:26:33.

from the west. A gusty wind is expected with wind gust of 30 to

:26:34.:26:40.

40mph. Inland up to 20mph. The rain band lingering for much of the day

:26:41.:26:44.

on Wednesday and clearing overnight into Thursday. So it will be a soggy

:26:45.:26:48.

and windy day on Wednesday. Here is your outlook for the rest of the

:26:49.:26:51.

week. A lot of sunshine tomorrow after a damp start in the east and

:26:52.:26:55.

an improving picture and on Wednesday we see a lot of rain and

:26:56.:27:00.

strong winds. Further showers, could be thundery for Thursday and fry. ``

:27:01.:27:08.

Friday. Thank you. More at 8 and 10. 25. Tomorrow in sport. A big FA Cup

:27:09.:27:14.

tie, because the winners play Liverpool, born mouth play Burton.

:27:15.:27:20.

Join us tomorrow. Good night.
