The number has fallen by around a third over the past five xears.

Campaigners have described the situation as a ticking timebomb

by the Howard League for Penal Reform, despite the fact thd number

of inmates in Bicester's Bullingdon Prison and Milton Keynes' Woodhill

In 2010, Bullingdon Prison employed 263 prison officers.

The trend is much the same in Woodhill Prison.

Four years ago, it employed 452 prison officers

This year it only has 290 and some of the prisoners there are
