Hello and welcome to BBC Points West. The headlines this evening: | :00:11. | :00:13.
The possessions of Holocaust victims being auctioned in Bristol | :00:13. | :00:16.
- MPs say it's profiting from hatred and call for sales to be | :00:16. | :00:26.
| :00:26. | :00:28. | ||
banned. I was told the one of the items sold was a passport of a | :00:28. | :00:32.
victim of the Holocaust. I think most people would think that is | :00:32. | :00:35.
quite distasteful. The school test grades that don't | :00:35. | :00:38.
add up - teachers challenge an exam board over the quality of its | :00:38. | :00:40.
marking. Also tonight: The Cheltenham Festival under scrutiny | :00:40. | :00:43.
as questions are raised about the number of horses which have died | :00:43. | :00:48.
this year. And we try out the quickest way of travelling a mile | :00:48. | :00:58.
| :00:58. | :01:00. | ||
Good evening. MPs are calling on the Government to ban the sale of | :01:00. | :01:02.
Nazi memorabilia after the armband of a Holocaust victim was auctioned | :01:02. | :01:07.
off in Bristol. They've tabled a Commons motion accusing those | :01:07. | :01:11.
responsible of glorifying hatred and violence. The auctioneers have | :01:11. | :01:14.
hit back saying they're sensitive about the artefacts they handle and | :01:14. | :01:21.
have no plans to stop the sales. Chris James reports. On sale, | :01:21. | :01:26.
documents belonging to victims of the Holocaust. This armband, | :01:26. | :01:29.
passport and symbol went under the hammer at Dreweatts in Bristol and | :01:29. | :01:36.
fetched 360. But now there are calls to outlaw this kind of | :01:36. | :01:39.
material being sold in this country. It's already banned in Germany, | :01:39. | :01:42.
France and Austria, and now MP's have tabled a Commons motion | :01:42. | :01:52.
| :01:52. | :01:54. | ||
condemning the sale. All the well- known auction houses don't take | :01:54. | :02:02.
part in this trade at all. It seems that this particular auction house | :02:02. | :02:05.
in Bristol does. I don't know whether there are any others around | :02:05. | :02:10.
the country. Maybe they will be flushed out now as a result of this | :02:10. | :02:14.
motion being tabled. It's not the first time a sale at Drewatts has | :02:14. | :02:17.
created headlines. Last year they auctioned off Adolf Hitler's | :02:17. | :02:21.
bedsheets. Exceptionally rare, they sold for 2,000 after a fierce | :02:21. | :02:28.
bidding war. It's 70 years on since World War Two, but to some seeing | :02:28. | :02:37.
this kind of history is still upsetting. I think it is | :02:37. | :02:43.
distasteful, and I find it hard to understand people's motivation. | :02:43. | :02:49.
it was purely commercial, then it seems rather unethical, because it | :02:49. | :02:54.
is a bit like digging up body parts that don't belong to you and | :02:54. | :03:03.
selling them. It is a macabre way of making money. No one from the | :03:03. | :03:06.
auction house would speak to me tonight, but I have received any | :03:06. | :03:12.
mail from the director. He says it is the firm's policy to exercise | :03:12. | :03:17.
discretion when handling sensitive items, and they respect the tabled | :03:17. | :03:21.
a motion, but as auctioneers, we act purely as agents between the | :03:21. | :03:25.
buyer and the seller, and there are no plans to stop artifacts like | :03:25. | :03:33.
this going under the hammer. MPS are now calling on the Government | :03:33. | :03:36.
to bring in immediate regulation to control what they term an abhorrent | :03:36. | :03:39.
trade. The North Somerset MP Liam Fox has | :03:39. | :03:41.
been punished for breaking Parliamentary rules regarding his | :03:41. | :03:45.
friend Adam Werritty. It's another blow following his resignation last | :03:45. | :03:51.
October as Defence Secretary. He's now been ordered to pay 3,000 and | :03:51. | :03:53.
make a written apology for letting his friend use his taxpayer-funded | :03:53. | :03:58.
second home and office. Joining us now is our political editor Paul | :03:58. | :04:06.
Barltrop. Paul, why's this come about? People will remember that | :04:06. | :04:15.
Adam Werritty was Liam Fox's best man. Mr Fox was forced to resign as | :04:15. | :04:19.
defence secretary because he broke the code of conduct. There was an | :04:19. | :04:23.
investigation as to how what Adam Werritty had stayed in Liam Fox's | :04:23. | :04:27.
flat in London, paid for by the taxpayer, and for six years had | :04:27. | :04:31.
used that the Parliamentary Office to run a charity that they were | :04:31. | :04:37.
both involved in. He has been ordered to pay 3,000 and make a | :04:37. | :04:43.
written apology. It was only last month -- Only last month he gave | :04:43. | :04:45.
the Sunday Politics his first television interview since his | :04:45. | :04:48.
departure from Government. What does this do for his prospects for | :04:48. | :04:52.
a return to the front benches? Fox has been an MP for 20 years. He | :04:52. | :04:56.
is somebody that wants to be right to the forefront. If you listen to | :04:56. | :05:00.
what he said during that first television interview, it gives you | :05:00. | :05:05.
some hint as to how keen he is. That is for me to decide. You would | :05:05. | :05:09.
like to be back one day? You come into politics to make a difference. | :05:09. | :05:13.
There are different ways of doing that. Shall I take that as a yes? | :05:13. | :05:21.
You can take it as a yes. Any hope of his returning has been dealt a | :05:21. | :05:26.
severe blow by today's news. He has had to pay money in the past and is | :05:26. | :05:32.
expensive. -- his expenses. Somerset headteacher says she's | :05:32. | :05:34.
lost faith in the exam board responsible for marking their | :05:34. | :05:39.
English GCSE papers. Pupils at the Castle School received far lower | :05:39. | :05:43.
grades than predicted in their exams taken in January. They've now | :05:43. | :05:46.
requested the scripts to be re- marked, and have called an urgent | :05:46. | :05:50.
meeting with other schools in the county to discuss the way forward. | :05:50. | :06:00.
| :06:00. | :06:02. | ||
How are we being spoken to in this poem? The English department here | :06:02. | :06:06.
at the Castle School is said to be one of the best in the country. Not | :06:06. | :06:09.
that you'd think it from their recent GCSE English results from | :06:09. | :06:19.
| :06:19. | :06:22. | ||
January. You can see the level of concern we have here is phenomenal. | :06:22. | :06:26.
The school's head teacher says she has lost all faith in the way | :06:26. | :06:29.
Edexcel, the exam board, is marking the papers. She says her concerns | :06:29. | :06:31.
are also shared by others in the county. This is happening right | :06:31. | :06:34.
across Taunton and right across Somerset, and even now we're | :06:34. | :06:37.
hearing that there are schools in Devon that have had a similar | :06:38. | :06:44.
problem if they have had Edexcel examine their children. It is | :06:44. | :06:51.
clearly not with us or our school. It must be with the exam board. | :06:51. | :06:54.
It's not the first time the school has complained. Last year they | :06:54. | :06:57.
contacted Edexcel about the way the poetry paper had been marked. And | :06:57. | :07:00.
the teachers now feel this recent unexpected drop in grades has | :07:00. | :07:08.
damaged the morale of the pupils. Where did we go wrong? It is not | :07:08. | :07:14.
our fault of the teachers' fault, but why have we got these results? | :07:14. | :07:20.
Leading up to the exam, I was getting an A, but in the exam, I | :07:20. | :07:23.
got the D. For the teachers themselves, well, these are also | :07:23. | :07:30.
difficult times. We have usually got a clear idea of where our top | :07:30. | :07:34.
pupils are, and these results put that all out of kilter. It is | :07:34. | :07:41.
nothing like we expected. And that knocks you confidence. Well, we | :07:41. | :07:51.
| :07:51. | :07:57. | ||
contacted Edexcel about the matter, We provided additional guidance, | :07:57. | :08:02.
support and advice to T-shirts -- teachers throughout this new exam. | :08:02. | :08:06.
We are confident that the results will be of the same standard as | :08:06. | :08:09.
other organisations, and all pupils will receive their grades they | :08:09. | :08:13.
deserve. The school will now request that a sample of the papers | :08:13. | :08:16.
be re-marked, costing 30 each. An expensive venture when budgets are | :08:16. | :08:19.
tight. They say they're confidant Edexcel got it wrong, and will meet | :08:19. | :08:28.
with other schools tomorrow to Thousands of people descended on | :08:28. | :08:31.
Cheltenham again today for the third day of the Festival. The | :08:31. | :08:34.
afternoon belonged to Somerset- trained Big Bucks, but the mood on | :08:34. | :08:36.
the Gloucestershire course was subdued after the death of five | :08:36. | :08:40.
horses so far. The British Horse Racing Authority described the | :08:40. | :08:43.
tally as "regretable", adding it would continue to work with all | :08:43. | :08:53.
| :08:53. | :08:54. | ||
racecourses to manage and reduce the risk to the animals. Well, | :08:54. | :09:01.
let's join David Passmore who's been at Cheltenham throughout. Good | :09:01. | :09:06.
evening. I think it all comes down to what we define as acceptable | :09:06. | :09:12.
risk. No one denies that horse racing is a dangerous occupation. | :09:12. | :09:15.
Animals travelling at 30 mph and jumping substantial fences were | :09:15. | :09:19.
never be safe. The British Horseracing authorities said that | :09:19. | :09:22.
every incident is fully investigated to try to find an | :09:22. | :09:27.
obvious cause, to try to find any common cause, and in the past they | :09:27. | :09:32.
have changed regulations, moved fences, altered fences. But all | :09:32. | :09:38.
along, they say it is a case of minimising risk but not removing it. | :09:38. | :09:42.
Racing as normal today, but under the closest scrutiny. Horse | :09:42. | :09:47.
fatalities are not uncommon, but at Cheltenham, there are high profile. | :09:47. | :09:52.
The risk is always there, but strikes randomly. 11 deaths | :09:52. | :09:58.
resulted from racing here in 2006. There were a total of eight in the | :09:58. | :10:03.
next five years, before five on just the first two days here this | :10:03. | :10:10.
year. Those in the industry work hard to reduce risk, but accepted. | :10:10. | :10:16.
It is part and parcel of the force. It is unfortunate for it to happen | :10:16. | :10:21.
on a high-profile day at Cheltenham, but these are jump horses. I have | :10:21. | :10:25.
lost three or four horses this year on training gallops at home. Every | :10:25. | :10:28.
time our horses lost at a race meeting, they come up with better | :10:28. | :10:34.
procedures. There are tiny numbers of horses lost at race meetings | :10:34. | :10:39.
compared to the number who are running. No course officials would | :10:39. | :10:42.
be interviewed today. A British racecourse authority issued a | :10:42. | :10:50.
statement, saying that all entered and a regrettable and all are | :10:50. | :11:00.
| :11:00. | :11:01. | ||
The RSPCA's equine consultant says they do all they can to make sure | :11:01. | :11:05.
that racecourses are up to scratch. These courses are looked after | :11:05. | :11:10.
extremely well, there is no doubt about that. But everybody has got | :11:10. | :11:16.
to try to look at the risk factor, and by all means keep looking at it | :11:16. | :11:21.
and reduce it, but you will never take all injuries and deaths out of | :11:21. | :11:26.
horse racing. To the relief of all here, today's racing past offered | :11:26. | :11:30.
no further incident or fatalities, and officials are hoping that that | :11:30. | :11:36.
will be the case tomorrow. As I say, no interview from the | :11:36. | :11:40.
British Horseracing Authority today, although they have just sent us | :11:40. | :11:42.
through some more figures in addition to the statement they gave | :11:42. | :11:49.
us earlier. They point out that in the 2007-2011 period, good years | :11:49. | :11:55.
for the Cheltenham Festival, 2381 runners ran and there were nine | :11:55. | :12:02.
fatalities, less than one half of a %. Some say that is acceptable, but | :12:02. | :12:10.
others don't. I will be back later with more on Big Bucks's big win. | :12:10. | :12:19.
You're watching BBC Points West. Still to come: The former pupils | :12:19. | :12:24.
threatened with legal action over their comments on Twitter. | :12:24. | :12:27.
And Big Bucks sends records tumbling with a fourth consecutive | :12:27. | :12:37.
| :12:37. | :12:40. | ||
Back with more from Cheltenham in a few moments, but first more news. A | :12:41. | :12:44.
nurse has been struck off after she was filmed switching off the | :12:44. | :12:47.
ventilator of a tetraplegic man then trying to switch it back on | :12:47. | :12:49.
again. A hearing by the nursing and midwifery council found Violeta | :12:49. | :12:53.
Aylward guilty of serious professional misconduct. She was | :12:53. | :12:56.
caring for Jamie Merrett in his home in Devizes when the incident | :12:56. | :13:00.
happened. Mr Merrett was left seriously brain damaged. He had | :13:00. | :13:03.
installed CCTV in his room because he was becoming concerned about the | :13:03. | :13:13.
| :13:13. | :13:13. | ||
quality of care provided by the private nursing agency, Ambition 24. | :13:13. | :13:16.
The family are pleased with the decision, and am glad to see that | :13:16. | :13:21.
the nurse will no longer be able to practise as a nurse. But they don't | :13:21. | :13:26.
feel she is the only one to blame for what happened to Jamie. Why | :13:26. | :13:30.
didn't the nursing agency check on her competence beforehand to make | :13:30. | :13:35.
sure that she had the ITU experience that she needed to care | :13:35. | :13:39.
for him? Mr Merrett's solicitor is now considering taking legal action | :13:39. | :13:41.
against Great Western Ambulance Trust because of concerns of a | :13:41. | :13:51.
| :13:51. | :13:54. | ||
further delay in giving his client Three former pupils and one still | :13:54. | :13:56.
studying it at the school in Gloucester have been threatened | :13:56. | :14:01.
with legal action over comments made on Twitter. The Commons have | :14:01. | :14:05.
now been removed, but Twitter users have said they will not pay the | :14:05. | :14:08.
legal costs, as demanded by the school. | :14:09. | :14:12.
Twitter has over 300 million users. It works by people publishing their | :14:12. | :14:17.
thoughts in 140 characters or less. But three former students and one | :14:17. | :14:20.
still at Crypt went too far. They posted what have been described as | :14:20. | :14:23.
highly offensive and libelous comments about members of staff. | :14:23. | :14:25.
Following advice from the police and their lawyers, the school | :14:25. | :14:28.
threatened the users with legal action and asked for costs of 680 | :14:28. | :14:33.
each. The pupil still at the school was suspended for a day. The | :14:33. | :14:41.
headteacher told me his actions were proportionate. The letter we | :14:41. | :14:45.
send them was a warning letter. It said, remove the tweeds, and | :14:46. | :14:50.
refrain from posting things such as that again, or we will take legal | :14:50. | :14:54.
action. But when you involve lawyers, that brings costs, so we | :14:55. | :15:04.
| :15:05. | :15:06. | ||
are seeking to recover the costs of There's understandably been a lot | :15:06. | :15:16.
| :15:16. | :15:16. | ||
of reaction to the story on Twitter. But communications experts say | :15:16. | :15:19.
writing comments on the internet are subject to the same laws as | :15:19. | :15:27.
journalists. Those of us who work in the media | :15:27. | :15:31.
have been given Trainee legal issues of the sensitivities around | :15:31. | :15:35.
writing stories. Not everybody has that. Suddenly you have all these | :15:35. | :15:38.
thousands a citizen journalist who can write whatever they want, or | :15:38. | :15:43.
think they can, and there are repercussions. I have spoken to the | :15:43. | :15:46.
three former pupils, and they say they feel hard done by by the | :15:46. | :15:50.
school, saying a simple phone call is all it would have taken to get | :15:50. | :15:54.
them to delete the Commons. They also say they will not be paying | :15:54. | :15:57.
the legal costs, because they say they can't see how the school could | :15:57. | :16:00.
justify that when an informal approach is all it would have taken. | :16:01. | :16:10.
| :16:11. | :16:12. | ||
"Now that we have seen what consequences have arisen from our | :16:12. | :16:15.
comments we do realise what we put was a mistake in hindsight. We have | :16:15. | :16:18.
apologised to the school." Back to one of the country's top sporting | :16:18. | :16:21.
events - the Cheltenham Festival. And today belonged to one horse - | :16:21. | :16:24.
Somerset's Big Bucks. He made history by winning his fourth | :16:24. | :16:26.
consecutive World Hurdle, to the delight of his trainer, Paul | :16:26. | :16:29.
Nicholls. Our sports editor David Passmore saw it all happen and | :16:29. | :16:37.
joins us again now. Dave, this was quite a feat. | :16:37. | :16:40.
It was an absolutely wonderful atmosphere in the winner's | :16:40. | :16:44.
enclosure behind me, and after two days, when the favourites fail to | :16:44. | :16:49.
deliver, Big Bucks proved he was the horse for the big occasion. | :16:49. | :16:55.
Before the race, he looked so calm, he appeared half asleep. That was | :16:55. | :16:58.
in marked contrast to a thrilling finish. It was his 16th successive | :16:58. | :17:05.
win, his 4th successive victory in this prestigious race. He has not | :17:05. | :17:10.
lost in three years, and today added another 100,000 prize-money | :17:10. | :17:19.
to more than a million in his career so far. He is awesome. He is | :17:19. | :17:24.
such a fantastic horse to have done that. It was brilliant. You can't | :17:24. | :17:32.
describe it. He is very good, stays very well. All class. He is magic. | :17:32. | :17:39.
Let's hope we can come back next year and make it five. Well, from | :17:39. | :17:44.
one trained legend to another, because tomorrow, Finn will try and | :17:44. | :17:50.
put himself right at the top of the history books of National Hunt | :17:50. | :18:00.
| :18:00. | :18:02. | ||
racing -- Kauto Star. He is one of the best-loved horses in the sport, | :18:02. | :18:08.
as Alastair Durden now reports. is the horse of a lifetime. You | :18:08. | :18:17.
could never get another like him. The first horse ever to regain the | :18:17. | :18:23.
Cheltenham Gold Cup. He was one of the rarest horses that have ever | :18:23. | :18:29.
been. Bred in France, Kauto Star was known as the extra-terrestrial, | :18:29. | :18:34.
and his career record is certainly out of this world. He has won 16 | :18:34. | :18:38.
top-grade races, including two Cheltenham Gold Cups, and was the | :18:38. | :18:43.
first horse to win over 2 million in prize money over jumps. His | :18:44. | :18:50.
fearless attitude has won him a legion of fans. He is a star, and | :18:50. | :18:58.
all of our racegoers hearts go to him. I hope he can do it, I really | :18:58. | :19:07.
do. Unfortunately, I am in work, so I will have it on the radio. | :19:07. | :19:14.
want him to come back and win, that is what you want to see. Some high- | :19:14. | :19:17.
profile defeats last season prompted talk of retirement, but | :19:17. | :19:23.
instead, he has come back stronger to beat his rival Long Run twice in | :19:23. | :19:28.
the last four months, meaning tomorrow's clash is hotly | :19:28. | :19:34.
anticipated. To win, lose, come back and win a Gold Cup, it takes | :19:34. | :19:39.
unbelievable resolution to do that. He has been to the Cheltenham | :19:39. | :19:43.
Festival six times now. To run against the best and keep coming | :19:43. | :19:47.
back and being competitive takes some doing. Owner and trainer admit | :19:47. | :19:52.
this will be his last shot at winning the Gold Cup. But then | :19:52. | :20:02.
| :20:02. | :20:03. | ||
again, this is one star that just The comeback Kid, fingers crossed | :20:03. | :20:07.
for tomorrow. We will be back here watching Kauto Star, and we will be | :20:08. | :20:10.
down in the village where his supporters will be watching him, | :20:10. | :20:20.
and they all know him personally. I bet they do! Thank you, David. | :20:20. | :20:25.
Kauto Star is a wonderful horse, but so is Long Run, so we will find | :20:25. | :20:31.
Lord Coe says he intends to watch more Chelsea football matches after | :20:31. | :20:34.
the Olympics! That was his answer to a question from Ryan, a school | :20:34. | :20:37.
pupil from the Bridge Learning Campus in South Bristol. It was | :20:37. | :20:40.
during a special press conference at the Olympic Park today as part | :20:40. | :20:45.
of the BBC's School Report day. As a former Olympic runner, Lord Coe | :20:45. | :20:48.
might be interested to know that young athletes in North Somerset | :20:48. | :20:53.
are having to travel miles just to get to a proper track. So for our | :20:53. | :21:02.
School Report, we sent some pupils to investigate. I'm Maddy. And I'm | :21:02. | :21:05.
Sol. And we are both students at Nailsea School. Many people come | :21:05. | :21:09.
here to enjoy the facilities such as North Somerset Athletics Club. | :21:09. | :21:12.
As you can see, children of all ages gather here to receive | :21:12. | :21:20.
professional training in all types of athletics. You get to go on a | :21:20. | :21:26.
podium. The hurdles. Why would it be good to have a new athletics | :21:26. | :21:30.
track? It would mean that we could go to one set place rather than | :21:30. | :21:32.
having to travel to lots of different schools. Currently there | :21:32. | :21:35.
are over 300 members competing from the age of eight and up. However | :21:36. | :21:40.
they have no fixed base for their training. Lots of stuff going on, | :21:40. | :21:43.
lots of things happening, but I wonder where we could go up we had | :21:43. | :21:50.
the right facility, because this is so restrictive. We have 14-year- | :21:50. | :21:53.
olds doing sprints been a sports centre with a big wall at the end | :21:53. | :21:57.
of it. They did because they are well disciplined, but it is not as | :21:57. | :22:01.
good as it could be. North Somerset Council have found a potential site | :22:01. | :22:03.
for the track in Weston-super-Mare. However the track is estimated to | :22:03. | :22:07.
cost over a million pounds, and the problem is that there is no funding | :22:07. | :22:15.
available. We just want somewhere we can train and not worry about | :22:15. | :22:19.
lack of space, too many kids, not enough coaches, whatever. 2012 - | :22:19. | :22:22.
the year of the London Olympics, and everyone is talking about | :22:22. | :22:25.
Olympic legacy. But it looks like it will be some time before North | :22:25. | :22:28.
Somerset gets the track it needs. This is Maddy and Sol for BBC New | :22:29. | :22:35.
School Report in Nailsea School, North Somerset. Goode report. Well | :22:35. | :22:39.
done, guys. Now, it's nearly time for this year's Sport Relief! The | :22:39. | :22:43.
idea is to "go the extra mile", so we challenged our very own Andrew | :22:43. | :22:50.
Plant to get the ball rolling here at Points West. | :22:50. | :22:55.
From up here, it all seems so small. That's the ground two miles below. | :22:55. | :22:58.
There's the back of a plane which I'm reluctantly leaving. That's me | :22:58. | :23:02.
- in the Biggles hat - looking worried. When they asked me to do a | :23:02. | :23:06.
mile for Sport Relief, they never said it would be at 120 miles an | :23:06. | :23:09.
hour - straight down. More sheer terror in a minute. First back in | :23:09. | :23:15.
the plane, and jump back half an hour. | :23:15. | :23:18.
The first thing that will happen, you get a nice red jumpsuit. | :23:18. | :23:21.
Welcome to the training ground of the famous Red Devils display team, | :23:21. | :23:24.
in demand across the world. And Nathan here, veteran of more than | :23:24. | :23:27.
2000 jumps. So, into my honourary Red Devil jumpsuit, Which goes | :23:28. | :23:37.
| :23:38. | :23:38. | ||
nicely with the Sport Relief T- shirt. You get about 50 seconds of | :23:38. | :23:46.
freefall, so you probably do about a mile in 20 seconds, 25 seconds. | :23:46. | :23:55.
Helmut Cech, sued Cech, reinforced underwear, Cech. -- helmet, yes. | :23:55. | :24:00.
Suit, yes. And ten minutes later: The curvature of the earth outside | :24:00. | :24:10.
| :24:10. | :24:17. | ||
the window at almost 14,000 feet. When someone opens the door, you | :24:17. | :24:21.
think, what am I doing? But then you see that it is the Red Devils, | :24:21. | :24:26.
and you feel A funny old sport - and a relief to be down. Now - over | :24:26. | :24:36.
| :24:36. | :24:36. | ||
Well done, Andrew. Would you do it? Yes, I would. But I always thought | :24:36. | :24:42.
he had his head in the clouds. There is still time to sign up for | :24:42. | :24:51.
the Sport Relief Mile. Now, it has been a bit of a foggy day. | :24:51. | :24:57.
Persistently, in fact, across some district. At least it brightened up | :24:57. | :25:02.
district. At least it brightened up Andrew's skydive yesterday. | :25:02. | :25:06.
Tomorrow will bring a different story, mind you. There will be | :25:06. | :25:12.
variable amounts of cloud around. It will remain dry until late into | :25:12. | :25:16.
the evening, when the rain will start which will dominate through | :25:16. | :25:21.
Saturday. It is a right mess on the weather charts, with further heavy | :25:21. | :25:25.
rain at times. By Sunday it will clear a way, and as we get into the | :25:25. | :25:33.
start of next week, high pressure builds from the Azores again. It | :25:33. | :25:38.
will become increasingly dry again, which is a problem given the water | :25:38. | :25:44.
shortages. These jet stream winds curving around allow cruellest heir | :25:44. | :25:51.
to come in, particularly for Sunday. -- allow cool the macro heir to | :25:51. | :26:01.
| :26:01. | :26:02. | ||
The wind will start to pick up tonight. As we head into tomorrow, | :26:02. | :26:12.
things are starting to brighten up. Through the rest of this evening | :26:12. | :26:18.
and tonight, a few balloon pilots watching the skies will have seen | :26:18. | :26:27.
the fog begin to lift. There will be some low cloud draped on to | :26:27. | :26:37.
| :26:37. | :26:39. | ||
Uplands, but most places will escape fog at lower levels. | :26:39. | :26:49.
| :26:49. | :26:50. | ||
Tomorrow, a good deal of cloud around. As we get things under way, | :26:50. | :27:00.
| :27:00. | :27:00. | ||
the cloud will start to break-up. As we get later into the evening, | :27:00. | :27:10.
| :27:10. | :27:11. | ||
some patchy rain will begin to come through. Temperatures tomorrow, | :27:12. | :27:16.
particularly -- typically between 10 and 12 Celsius. Heavy rain | :27:16. | :27:20.
around on Saturday, less on Sunday, and back to square one for next | :27:20. | :27:29.
Interesting conditions for the Gold Cup at Cheltenham tomorrow. We will | :27:29. | :27:34. |
