Good evening. Here are the headlines: No more nuclear, the | :00:18. | :00:21.
companies behind a new nuclear power station at all very call halt | :00:21. | :00:25.
to their plans. Police in Dorset order petrol | :00:25. | :00:31.
stations to close as panic buying floods the county's rots. In a few | :00:31. | :00:36.
cases, we have asked them to close the stations in order to alleviate | :00:36. | :00:40.
the traffic problems. Once the traffic is flowing, bows petrol | :00:40. | :00:44.
stations have reopened. Also tonight, the counsellor found | :00:44. | :00:49.
guilty of not paying hundreds of pounds of council tax. | :00:49. | :00:54.
And the brothers hoping for a double gold at lantern 2012. | :00:54. | :01:01.
-- London 2012. Good evening. The company is | :01:01. | :01:06.
planning to build a new nuclear power station on the banks of the | :01:06. | :01:09.
River Severn have pulled out of the project. The plan would have | :01:09. | :01:15.
created hundreds of jobs in the area but many did not want it built. | :01:15. | :01:23.
Is this the end of the road? Well, that is the big question on | :01:23. | :01:28.
everybody's lips. Many have said that this leaves the Government's | :01:28. | :01:34.
plans in tatters. If a player's like -- if big players like these | :01:34. | :01:39.
cannot make nuclear pay, what does it mean for other projects? The | :01:39. | :01:44.
Government had identified this as one of nine sites for a new nuclear | :01:44. | :01:50.
power station to satisfy future enemy -- energy demands. But the | :01:50. | :01:53.
future of these projects hang in the balance tonight. | :01:53. | :01:59.
Last month, the bottom was pushed at Oldbury power station. -- the | :01:59. | :02:04.
button. It meant the end of decades of nuclear power on the site. But | :02:04. | :02:08.
in the shadow of Oldbury power station, there were new plans to | :02:08. | :02:14.
regenerate nuclear power. On this land, 150 hectares, they were going | :02:14. | :02:17.
to build a new nuclear power station which they say would have | :02:17. | :02:23.
generated substantially more electricity than Aldbury ever did. | :02:23. | :02:27.
Horizon predicted a Total investment of more than 15 billion | :02:27. | :02:32.
at two sites. But now the bill seems too high even for | :02:32. | :02:39.
shareholders in one of the biggest energy companies. We want to focus | :02:39. | :02:46.
today on seeking a further investor for the sites. How long will you | :02:46. | :02:52.
give it? We have not decided. It would be premature to say. | :02:52. | :02:56.
Campaigners are obviously delighted, after witnessing anti-nuclear | :02:56. | :03:01.
rumblings among shareholders last year, they felt this might happen. | :03:01. | :03:04.
They realise there are still a prospect of a new nuclear power | :03:04. | :03:11.
station. We do not want more multinational companies such as | :03:11. | :03:16.
these -- such as EDF coming here to make more money out of the UK | :03:16. | :03:24.
taxpayer. We want energy independence, to rely on producing | :03:24. | :03:27.
our own electricity locally. government says it is disappointed | :03:27. | :03:32.
with the news but that the old resite is still open for a major | :03:32. | :03:37.
player to take it on. Unions representing the 120 workers at | :03:37. | :03:41.
Horizon have called on ministers to ensure that a buyer is found. | :03:41. | :03:46.
need to move quickly to ensure that the project passes into the stable | :03:46. | :03:52.
hands of a new investor. We would like to insure that ministers in | :03:52. | :03:57.
business are lobbying the Cabinet and the Prime Minister to ensure | :03:57. | :04:02.
that that happens. The first of a new breed of nuclear is planned at | :04:02. | :04:08.
Hinkley, but will there really be enough cash -- a company with | :04:08. | :04:15.
enough cash to take on all very? That is the question. The Chief | :04:15. | :04:22.
Executive of Eon said they were looking at a return, and nuclear | :04:22. | :04:27.
cannot give that. Is there an investor with deep pockets? | :04:27. | :04:32.
Steve Webb is the MP for the area and he is here with me. Picking up | :04:33. | :04:36.
on a few of those points, the Government is disappointed. Are | :04:36. | :04:42.
you? I think that Aldbury was the wrong side. -- wrong site. Many | :04:42. | :04:47.
people in the surrounding area worked there. But what was proposed | :04:47. | :04:50.
was a monstrosity. It was not just more of the same, it was totally | :04:50. | :04:53.
different, and even people who work in the industry said they did not | :04:53. | :04:59.
think it was the right place. just Aldbury generally or was it | :04:59. | :05:05.
that project in particular? Government has said it is a DEC is | :05:05. | :05:12.
ignited site. The project is not dead. -- designated site. I was due | :05:12. | :05:16.
to have a meeting with them this morning but the council that, for | :05:16. | :05:22.
some reason(!) Economics a difficult. -- they cancelled it. It | :05:22. | :05:26.
was not a great site and the issue of jobs, it would have been people | :05:26. | :05:29.
being brought in for construction, so it would not have been local | :05:29. | :05:35.
jobs. It is a very long term project. Old rate would not have | :05:35. | :05:42.
been generating until the 2020s. The Government says that new | :05:42. | :05:45.
nuclear must be part of the energy mix and we need to keep the lights | :05:45. | :05:50.
on. It was one of eight sites. The need to keep the night sky -- the | :05:50. | :05:54.
need to keep the lights on his much sooner than Aldbury was ever going | :05:54. | :05:59.
to generate power for. We need to look at a variety of sources but I | :05:59. | :06:05.
hope that our town will not be part of the next. If not there, where? | :06:05. | :06:12.
Clearly there are seven other sites. The focus on Anglesey, they're very | :06:12. | :06:18.
keen for that to happen. I would like to see more energy efficiency. | :06:18. | :06:24.
If you do not waste it, you do not need the extra power stations. | :06:24. | :06:28.
In other news, motorists are being urged to remain calm after panic- | :06:28. | :06:32.
buying of fuel caused problems across our region today. Dorset | :06:32. | :06:37.
police were forced to ask petrol stations in the county to close | :06:37. | :06:41.
temporarily to help ease congestion. Some garages ran out of fuel and | :06:41. | :06:46.
other started rationing supplies. Many received new deliveries this | :06:46. | :06:51.
afternoon. Chris is in Bristol. Had Bessie is it? | :06:51. | :07:00.
-- how busy is it. This petrol station in Clifton is shut. It ran | :07:00. | :07:04.
out of petrol around 3pm this afternoon. But it delivery is | :07:04. | :07:10.
expected at some point tonight. All five tanks here normally lasts for | :07:10. | :07:14.
three days or so, but all the supplies ran out in a matter of | :07:14. | :07:20.
hours. There are reports that of a petrol stations are experiencing | :07:20. | :07:26.
closed forecourts. Or the polar opposite, long queues. The message | :07:26. | :07:30.
tonight is do not panic. Clinton Rogers reports on the petrol | :07:30. | :07:39.
picture across the West. This is or panic looks like. -- this is what | :07:39. | :07:43.
panic looks like. Supplies running short and the beginning of | :07:43. | :07:46.
rationing. And all of this before anyone knows if or when there will | :07:46. | :07:56.
:07:56. | :07:58. | ||
be a strike. It is absolutely crazy. I just need to fill my car up, that | :07:58. | :08:03.
is all. I have never seen anything like it. In Dorset, so many drivers | :08:03. | :08:08.
were frantically scrabbling for fuel that crews -- that queues were | :08:08. | :08:12.
spilling onto the roads. The police asked those filling stations to | :08:12. | :08:17.
close until the situation come down. Our concern is the responsible | :08:17. | :08:21.
action of some motorists who, attempting to get on to petrol | :08:21. | :08:26.
station forecourts, are queuing on the highway. That is causing a | :08:26. | :08:29.
danger to other road-users. queues were much the same wherever | :08:30. | :08:36.
you looked. This was lunchtime in Gloucester. And this was buff but | :08:37. | :08:42.
that afternoon. -- Bath this afternoon. I'm getting away for the | :08:42. | :08:47.
weekend and I need it. Ever since ministers started talking yesterday | :08:47. | :08:51.
about filling up tanks, even topping-up Jerry cans, people have | :08:51. | :08:57.
been doing just that. In their thousands. The Government's need to | :08:57. | :09:03.
sort themselves out. -- the Government. This station sold three | :09:03. | :09:09.
days' worth of fuel in three hours and now they are rationing supplies. | :09:09. | :09:14.
Others like this one have run short. But like others, they say there | :09:14. | :09:18.
will be no problem getting resupplied. If customers come down, | :09:18. | :09:25.
there will be no shortage. -- calm down. I think people are panicking | :09:25. | :09:29.
too early. The panic caused us problems, leading us to run out of | :09:29. | :09:35.
fuel completely. In some places there are price was. In his garage, | :09:35. | :09:45.
:09:45. | :09:46. | ||
fuel went up by 2p a later today. - - 2 p a litre. | :09:46. | :09:51.
It is important to stress that what we are experiencing is not a fuel | :09:51. | :09:56.
crisis like we saw 10 years ago. This is purely a fuel shortage. It | :09:56. | :10:00.
is a temporary measure, but it is stretching across the West. Of | :10:00. | :10:04.
course, it is important to remember that the tanks here, normally | :10:04. | :10:09.
filled every few days, run out very quickly when people come to fill | :10:09. | :10:12.
their cars right up to the brim. That is what has been happening | :10:13. | :10:20.
here today. The advice tonight is do not panic. At the moment, the | :10:20. | :10:27.
next delivery of fuel is just hours away. | :10:27. | :10:31.
In other news, a senior North Somerset councillor has been found | :10:31. | :10:36.
guilty of not paying hundreds of pounds of council tax. Carl | :10:36. | :10:38.
Francis-Pester was ordered to hand over the money which ironically | :10:38. | :10:43.
helps fund his own 8,000 allowance. It is not the first time that the | :10:43. | :10:51.
Tory politician has run into trouble. In happier times, Carl | :10:51. | :10:55.
Francis-Pester at the back with senior Tories celebrating the 2010 | :10:55. | :11:05.
election victory of Liam Fox. to my fabulous team, especially the | :11:05. | :11:08.
hardened battle bus team. It is wrong to single anyone out but I | :11:08. | :11:12.
would like to single out my election agent, who has done a | :11:12. | :11:17.
fantastic job. But the warmth did not last. Within months the way he | :11:17. | :11:21.
had spent party money and use their facilities was under investigation. | :11:21. | :11:24.
facilities was under investigation. The conclusion was damning. He had | :11:24. | :11:28.
failed to follow the constitution of the North Somerset Conservatives, | :11:28. | :11:38.
:11:38. | :11:49. | ||
treating it as his own personal Today Carl Francis-Pester has not | :11:49. | :11:53.
been able to be contacted. When the shot was taken -- were taken, he | :11:53. | :11:57.
was one of the ruling elite but his misdemeanours have seen him | :11:57. | :12:01.
relegated to the backbenches. He has failed to show what a council | :12:01. | :12:05.
meetings in recent days. Officials are investigating whether he has | :12:05. | :12:15.
:12:15. | :12:16. | ||
broken any other laws. It has been another beautiful day, | :12:16. | :12:21.
unless you are queuing at the petrol station. | :12:21. | :12:27.
Much more still to bring you. Including, we reveal how parents | :12:27. | :12:30.
complained about a school staircase years before a people seriously | :12:30. | :12:35.
injured himself in a fall. And the future for the front line, | :12:35. | :12:43.
to find out what soldiers could be using in years to come. | :12:43. | :12:49.
First, CCTV footage obtained by the BBC suggest the alleged role of | :12:49. | :12:53.
Shrien Dewani in the murder of his wife, Anni Dewani, while on | :12:53. | :12:56.
honeymoon in South Africa may not be as clear cut as investigators | :12:56. | :13:00.
say. Mr Dewani is accused of hiring a | :13:00. | :13:05.
hitman to kill his new wife. He has always denied having any role in | :13:05. | :13:09.
her murder. This is the now familiar public | :13:09. | :13:13.
image of Shrien Dewani. From successful businessman to | :13:13. | :13:17.
psychiatric patient. Since his wife's murder, the South African | :13:17. | :13:20.
authorities have appealed for him to return and stand trial for | :13:20. | :13:26.
murder. Zola Tongo, already convicted of | :13:26. | :13:30.
her kidnap and murder, claims that Shrien Dewani masterminded the | :13:30. | :13:34.
killing. Evidence obtained by panorama seems to contradict part | :13:35. | :13:41.
of his story. Zola Tongo says that Shrien Dewani was running late the | :13:41. | :13:48.
night that he -- Anni Dewani died. He says that Shrien Dewani said, | :13:48. | :13:53.
come on, hurry up, we need to do it tonight. We have identified the | :13:53. | :13:57.
moment when that call was received. And it does not look credible that | :13:57. | :14:02.
he had that conversation. First, because Shrien Dewani was sitting | :14:02. | :14:06.
with Anni Dewani, and secondly because he was not distressed. | :14:06. | :14:16.
:14:16. | :14:25. | ||
He does not want to go there and find that he is cooked up in a | :14:25. | :14:28.
prison for a long period before the case comes in. You do not know what | :14:28. | :14:34.
could happen to him, because many people in South Africa have already | :14:34. | :14:39.
decided that he is guilty. Last summer, a judge decided the public | :14:39. | :14:43.
interest in seeing Shrien Dewani defend himself in court outweighed | :14:43. | :14:48.
the risks to his safety. Tomorrow, the High Court will decide if his | :14:48. | :14:51.
appeal against extradition has been successful. | :14:51. | :14:55.
Shrien Dewani is still sectioned under the Mental Health Act and | :14:55. | :14:59.
remains a patient here in Bristol. Whatever the outcome of his appeal, | :14:59. | :15:03.
he will have to make significant improvements in his mental health | :15:03. | :15:11.
before he is able to stand trial. Jeremy Vine presents panorama, the | :15:11. | :15:18.
honeymoon murder, here on BBC One tonight at 9pm. | :15:18. | :15:19.
Protesters gather today demonstrating against renewed plans | :15:20. | :15:24.
to dump asbestos in Somerset. It is the second time the plans for the | :15:24. | :15:29.
site have been submitted. They were originally rejected by Bath and | :15:29. | :15:32.
North Somerset council when it decided that local people had not | :15:32. | :15:36.
been made properly aware of the proposed use of the site. The | :15:36. | :15:41.
council says it will now reconsider the proposals and report back. | :15:41. | :15:45.
would be hard to imagine a more inappropriate site for such a | :15:45. | :15:53.
massive hazardous waste dump, on top of a remote in escarpment. -- | :15:53. | :15:58.
remote escarpment. So you will waste could get into the water | :15:58. | :16:03.
supply, and there will be congestion from 50 trucks a day, | :16:03. | :16:06.
and on the roads. There is not a single good environmental arguments | :16:07. | :16:12.
to support this for us up it has emerged that parents had raised | :16:12. | :16:15.
health and safety concerns over the design of the Bristol school years | :16:15. | :16:20.
before a pupil fell from a 4th store her -- fourth-floor stairwell | :16:20. | :16:23.
requiring treatment in hospital. The accident happened at Fairfield | :16:23. | :16:32.
School. Where is this new information coming from? It is from | :16:32. | :16:36.
this correspondence. These are copies of letters we obtained under | :16:36. | :16:38.
the Freedom of Information Act and they contain some strongly-worded | :16:38. | :16:43.
sentiments. They raised concerns that pupils could be injured due to | :16:43. | :16:49.
the design of Fairfield School. Let us show you some pictures of the | :16:50. | :16:54.
inside of the school. There is a large atrium, balconies on three | :16:54. | :16:58.
sides with open areas. What you cannot see is that there is also a | :16:58. | :17:03.
large spiral staircase, which has an opening in the middle. That is | :17:03. | :17:07.
where it is thought the people fell. The school was cutting-edge design, | :17:07. | :17:11.
but it appears that not everyone was so happy with the forward- | :17:11. | :17:17.
thinking design. What are the specific concerns? Two of the | :17:17. | :17:23.
letters are from parents of pupils at the school. One says "My child | :17:23. | :17:26.
attends Fairfield and I have concerns relating to its safety. | :17:26. | :17:29.
When you reach the top of the spiral staircase, there is a sheer | :17:29. | :17:33.
drop all the way down to the bottom floor. I would have font bars would | :17:33. | :17:37.
have been put in place. If someone was pushed, there would be nothing | :17:37. | :17:43.
to save them. -- I would have thought." Another parent says that | :17:43. | :17:48.
it is very clear the balconies are unsafe. "Already Mirror has been | :17:48. | :17:51.
dropped into the hall and it is only a matter of luck that no one | :17:51. | :17:57.
was killed." -- already a mirror. There was a health and safety check | :17:57. | :18:03.
done beforehand, which said that the risk to public health were low. | :18:03. | :18:07.
The Bristol City Council are investigating what happened and we | :18:07. | :18:10.
do not know the circumstances of how the people came to fall. The | :18:11. | :18:18.
council hopes to have the report by May. -- the pupil. Meanwhile, the | :18:18. | :18:24.
boy as gradually recovered. If you like new technology, you | :18:24. | :18:29.
might be interested in this. Night vision monocles, thermal imaging | :18:29. | :18:32.
cameras and thermal water heaters are just some of the gadgets the | :18:32. | :18:37.
Ministry of Defence has been showing off this morning. Staff | :18:37. | :18:43.
were showing some of the emerging technologies on trial. | :18:43. | :18:47.
This I piece is one of the things on show today. It is like something | :18:47. | :18:52.
you would see on Star Trek. It provides the pilot with all the | :18:52. | :18:54.
flight information he would usually receive from the panel in front of | :18:54. | :19:01.
him, but as a virtual display. This is what they can see. Artificial | :19:01. | :19:05.
horizon and altitude readings. All without ever taking your eyes off | :19:05. | :19:12.
the sky. An underwater mine sweeper, which remotely destroys minds using | :19:13. | :19:22.
a people's. -- torpedoes. This gun fires with such force that | :19:22. | :19:25.
it recoils into your eye socket, so the solution is to build a computer | :19:25. | :19:32.
screen. It is not just the big companies like BAE Systems, but | :19:32. | :19:36.
independent investigators -- inventors like this man, who has | :19:36. | :19:40.
developed a portable water supply. The benefits are that a soldier can | :19:40. | :19:44.
have hot water for free so the MoD do not need to transport burning | :19:44. | :19:50.
fuel and generators. Improving safety of soldiers is the big | :19:50. | :19:55.
challenge. These are not just normal cockles. It fuses night | :19:55. | :20:00.
vision with thermal imagery, and it is really quite incredible. The | :20:00. | :20:03.
usual blurred night vision is enhanced with a pulse of heat | :20:03. | :20:08.
imagery, allowing the soldier to clearly identify a target. This, | :20:08. | :20:11.
along with the rest of technology - - the rest of the technology on | :20:11. | :20:18.
show, will soon be helping troops on the frontline. | :20:18. | :20:22.
Great to see technology that could help troops in Afghanistan. | :20:22. | :20:25.
Yes. And someone who does not need any help with his vision, Judd | :20:25. | :20:30.
Trump, he has made it through to the quarter-finals of the China | :20:30. | :20:34.
Open. The defending snooker champion came back from 3-2 down to | :20:34. | :20:40.
beat Stuart Bingham by 5-3 in Beijing. He will now play Stephen | :20:40. | :20:44.
Lee on Friday for a place in the semi-finals. | :20:44. | :20:49.
Two brothers from Somerset are hoping to be as successful by | :20:49. | :20:53.
becoming medallist at the Olympics. Simon Mann Richard man tell from | :20:53. | :20:57.
Bolton were taught to play hockey by their father. Both are part of | :20:57. | :21:02.
the GB team aiming for a medal. Luckily, they chose different | :21:02. | :21:05.
positions but with competition for places, the battlers on to secure a | :21:05. | :21:10.
spot. -- the battle is on. | :21:10. | :21:16.
They hockey masterclass does not get any better. -- a hockey. Simon | :21:16. | :21:20.
has returned as a special guest of his father, the head of hockey here. | :21:20. | :21:25.
Simon and his older brother grew up on the school campus, surrounded by | :21:25. | :21:29.
sport. They have since reached the very top of their chosen sport, | :21:29. | :21:34.
helped along by brotherly competition. I would often end up | :21:34. | :21:42.
on the losing side of my sport, but it has sought to change our. We | :21:42. | :21:46.
used to argue a lot, and fight a lot, mainly about the result of | :21:46. | :21:53.
sports. They would normally be a few broken tennis rackets, and | :21:53. | :22:00.
tears. That definitely helped me to try and improve my sport and I | :22:00. | :22:04.
always wanted to catch him up. Richard Sion Simon made their | :22:04. | :22:09.
Olympic debuts in Beijing, where Britain finished 5th. Now they hope | :22:09. | :22:14.
to play a part in winning Great Britain's first hockey medal since | :22:14. | :22:20.
1988. That means them both making the final team. That is a beautiful | :22:20. | :22:30.
:22:30. | :22:32. | ||
way goal! -- away goal. Obviously, to know that Simon is in the team | :22:32. | :22:37.
as well, from my point of view, would be good. It helps that we do | :22:37. | :22:41.
not play in the same position so we're not rivals for exactly the | :22:41. | :22:46.
same slot, which definitely helps. Back home, mum and dad are relieved | :22:46. | :22:51.
both sons have made it. Even if that does lead to some people | :22:51. | :22:56.
assuming the worst. Somebody thought that we must be pushy | :22:56. | :23:01.
parents if they have both done it. I hope we're not. They have always | :23:01. | :23:06.
chosen themselves what they would like to do. I think they push | :23:06. | :23:11.
themselves. It has been very easy for us. Now the brothers face one | :23:11. | :23:15.
final push, making sure both have their names are on the team-sheet | :23:15. | :23:21.
in May. It is going to be an exciting time | :23:21. | :23:26.
in that household. 10 drawings by Leonardo Da Vinci | :23:26. | :23:31.
are going on show at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery this weekend. The | :23:31. | :23:35.
work usually belongs in the Royal Collection at Windsor but the Queen | :23:35. | :23:39.
has agreed to put them on display here in the West as part of her | :23:39. | :23:43.
Jubilee celebrations. The Renaissance artist's sketches will | :23:43. | :23:46.
stay in the city until the middle of June. | :23:46. | :23:50.
This sounds incredible but the recent son has been causing delays | :23:50. | :23:56.
on some of the railways. Cynically dubbed as the wrong kind of son, | :23:56. | :24:05.
Network Rail say that new track is less resistance to sups -- sudden | :24:05. | :24:10.
changes in heat. They have had to impose a 20mph speed limit until | :24:10. | :24:14.
the weather cools down. It is not too serious, only adding three | :24:14. | :24:20.
minutes to journey times. Genuinely, we could not make that up. We have | :24:20. | :24:23.
had another lovely day across the West. Let us see what the | :24:23. | :24:30.
forecasters. That train story reminds me of when | :24:30. | :24:33.
you go abroad on holiday and you meet English people and the weather | :24:33. | :24:42.
is hot and people go, "oh, it's too hot." It was warmth across the West | :24:43. | :24:49.
today. Glorious blue skies. More to come through the rest of the week. | :24:49. | :24:56.
It will change at the weekend, but we have done pretty well. 20.1 | :24:56. | :24:58.
we have done pretty well. 20.1 across the weekend -- across the | :24:58. | :25:07.
region. Bristol fail it well. -- fared well. Thank you to everybody | :25:07. | :25:11.
who has been sending in totals for temperatures over the last couple | :25:11. | :25:18.
of days. For consistency, we only use official data. Across the | :25:18. | :25:22.
region today, it was typically between 18 and 20 Celsius. Not bad | :25:22. | :25:32.
:25:32. | :25:37. | ||
for this time of year. Things will change as we head into the weekend. | :25:37. | :25:40.
This ridge of high pressure has been keeping the weather settled | :25:40. | :25:45.
and static. It is shifting west across the Atlantic, bringing in a | :25:45. | :25:50.
cold front, bringing northerly air sinking over us. By the weekend, it | :25:50. | :25:55.
is a cloudy a picture. Brighter by Sunday but a contrast compared to | :25:55. | :25:59.
what we have had. Clear skies continuing on the roof, and the | :26:00. | :26:04.
temperatures will call low overnight. Mist and fog forming. -- | :26:04. | :26:14.
temperatures well below. Chillier in response. Another clear starts | :26:14. | :26:18.
for many. And then the sunshine will lift the highs, but with the | :26:18. | :26:24.
northerly breeze, the edges yard just taken off by the afternoon. -- | :26:24. | :26:32.
the edge is just taken off. Once again, tomorrow night starts clear | :26:32. | :26:37.
but we begin to see cloud forming over tomorrow night, heralding the | :26:37. | :26:40.
change for the weekend. Saturday will be cloudier all round. | :26:40. | :26:45.
Temperatures dropping. More sunshine on Sunday but not enough | :26:45. | :26:50.
to lift the highs. I have commissioned rain across the | :26:50. | :26:54.
forecast and there is none on the forecast and there is none on the | :26:54. | :26:58.
way. -- I have not mentioned. Four words there I did not like. | :26:58. | :27:06.
"Last, warm, sunny one." That is almost a quarter night but our | :27:06. | :27:11.
colleagues on BBC Radio Bristol are carrying on all night. -- that is | :27:11. | :27:15.
almost it for tonight. They are in the middle of a 24 hour broadcast | :27:15. | :27:19.
that started at 8:00am this morning. Presenters and reporters are | :27:19. | :27:24.
broadcasting on all aspects of life in the area, minute by minute. One | :27:24. | :27:28.
of the highlights was the birth of baby Joshua at St Michael's | :27:28. | :27:34.
Maternity Hospital. Listen to the rest of the day and night unfolds | :27:34. | :27:41. |
