Good evening. The Bristol businessman accused of plotting his

wife's mother `` murder has denied being extradited. Shrien Dewani has

fought for three years to avoid being sent to face trial, s`ying he

is mentally unfit. He has always denied involvement in his whfe's

murder. Our reporter is in Cape Town for us.

So far we have had very little concrete information about Shrien

Dewani's extradition but if you are as ago, Word that he is alrdady on a

plane and should be landing tomorrow morning. There is another htge trial

going on here, the Oscar Pistorius trial but despite that, a lot of

attention has now turned to Cape Town where people here feel it has

been a long wait to finally see Shrien Dewani standing in court

From one high profile murder case to the beginning of another. South

African journalists outside Cape Town High Court reporting on a case

that began here more than three years ago. I have been on it every

day since then. It has been a marathon. Ups and downs, thhnking if

he is going to be extradited or not. A suspect or not? Finally it has all

come to a head and I think for all the families involved, it is some

sort of closure. Shrien Dew`ni is expected to land here tomorrow

morning and be brought into court after being charged with his wife's

murder. Annie was killed in a car jacking here while the copy `` the

couple were on honeymoon in 201 . Two men convicted of her killing say

Shrien Dewani hired them and masterminded the murder. Thhs is

where he will be taken and where he could spend his first night in South

Africa. This is a secure psxchiatric hospital and it is here that he

would be held while doctors decide if he is fit to stand trial. There

is a 30 day period of observation by the experts and if he is fotnd to be

in a fit state to stand tri`l, he will then be brought directly to the

High Court on charges of murder and will face trial in the summdr. There

will not be a lot of prepar`tory work. This will not be the dnd of

the story, it could be many months before Shrien Dewani stands trial.

We understand that after he lands here tomorrow, he will be driven

across town to the Cape Town High Court. In there, there are police

cells and he will be intervhewed and formally charged with the mtrder of

his wife. Then he will appe`r in front of a judge and be takdn to the

psychiatric unit. Ultimatelx, it will be up to the doctors hdre to

decide when and if he is evdr fit to finally stand trial.

A man from Bristol has been shot dead in a billet in Spain. Spanish

police confirmed they opened an investigation into the death of the

48`year`old Andy Bush at thd weekend. He owned a number of

businesses here and his fridnds have been left in shock.

Just to hear the news was a struggle, to put the pieces together

in your mind. Still quite uncomprehendingly at the molent You

just feel quite empty and upset because you knew the person. Your

sincere thoughts have got to be with all of his family and friends who

knew him. He was a well`known man. Just very upsetting.

A teacher who admitted for allegations of sexual offences

against a Bristol schoolboy has been told she will never teach again She

pleaded guilty to charges of breach of trust with the boy who w`s 1 and

17 at the time. Today she w`s given a ten month sentence, suspended for

two years. Afghan heroes is being wound down

will stop the Charity commission started an enquiry last year because

of concerns about how it was being run. An interim manager has written

to volunteer as saying the charity is no longer a viable concern.

It was the heroes charity l`unched through grief. In these `` Denise

said it up after losing her son in Afghanistan. Five years on, already

under investigation by the Charity commission, now it is close to

collapse. Volunteer supportdrs have been sent letters saying thd charity

is no longer viable. Tony is one of those to receive a letter from the

charity's interim manager. He raised ?20,000 or Afghan heroes.

Fundraising is my life. I w`s doing things I have never done as a

teenager. As well as being told to stop raising money, you werd told if

he had any merchandise, predicted? Yes, because it is not worth their

while coming to collect it. It is worthless. Afghan heroes is already

under investigation by the Charity commission who say they havd serious

concerns about the loss of charity funds and unauthorised trusty

benefits. One of the main ftnctions of the charity was to set up a

retreat for homeless soldiers. Four are currently living here ndar

Glastonbury. Efforts are now being made to find them new accomlodation.

The Charity commission would not comment today beyond painting that

they had serious concerns about the charity and the way the trustees

were operating. They are producing a report on what went wrong hdre and

where exactly the money was spent but my understanding is that report

will not be published somethme yet. The weather is next.

A decent day tomorrow, dry with some sunshine. There might be a shower

overnight tonight but they `re fairly fleeting and if anything it

is mostly dry. For tomorrow, it is a lovely day. A keen breeze to start

off with that will hold the is down. The afternoon is basically dry with

a lovely end to the date with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures gdtting up

to 11 or 12 degrees. The brdeze holding those temperatures down It

stays dry for the rest getting up to around 14 degrees

The weekend brought some mild nights. Signs of a change across

clearer spells and that allows the temperatures to drop away. The

westerly breeze will blow showers across the country through the

night. Cold enough for snow across the tops of the Scottish mountains.
