Good evening. Bristol Rovers are out of the football league after 94

years. Fans were left angry and devastated after Rovers failed to

gain the point they needed for safety in their final game `gainst

Mansfield. It's a day that everyone associated

with Bristol Rovers hoped and prayed would never come. After 94 xears,

Bristol Rovers are facing up to life in the fifth tier of English

football. They only needed ` draw against Mansfield but it proved too

much for the side who looked like they had done the hard work by

beating Wycombe last week. For the 10,000 fans here, it is the day they

will remember for all the wrong reasons. Disappointed. Let down

this season and with it a Champions Cup play`off match has gone despite

beating London Irish 35`30 hn their last home game of the season.

There's widespread bank holhday disruption on our trains with major

works to prepare the Great Western mainline for electrification. As

part of the scheme, work st`rts to demolish the bridge at Dauntsey Lock

tonight but it's causing re`l problems for locals. Here's Lizzie

Way. A village cut in two. This bridge

has to be replaced as Network Rail prepare the line for

electrification. Work starts here this weekend but it's not the noise

that is giving locals a headache but the diversions. I only want to get

to the other side of the brhdge It is a 20 mile detour. That whll add a

lot of mileage on to me. We have got some on the other side of the

railway line. Our only accesses over the bridge. It is cut off at the

moment. This local business has seen a plunge in profits as customers

struggle to find it. It is emotional, frustrating, tryhng to

get to the bank takes half `n hour. All these things add up. Network

Rail 's sake and electrific`tion will benefit local people in the

long`term. It will mean for quieter trains, cheaper seats and whll boost

the local economy. This weekend buses are replacing several of the

trains running between Bristol Temple Meads and Paddington, so

allow extra time for any jotrneys which, with this bridge not due to

open until August, locals are getting good at.

Crowds packed Bristol's harbour`side at the city's biggest ever food

festival. Celebrity chefs g`ve masterclasses, children learnt to

embrace vegetables and tastd buds were challenged. There was `lso a

chance to discuss food issuds. David Garmston chaired an audiencd with

broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby, who spoke about his passion for organic

farming. We are set to continue with the
