Everyone loves a slide. 96,000 ceasefires and get a first

Everyone loves a slide. 96,000 people definitely do. That's how

many applied for just 360 places to ride this slide. It was all the idea

of this artist. I'm interested in getting people to think about the

city in a new way. Imagine if there were slides installed around cities.

It was surreal to have it in such a normally busy street with cars and

everything. Surreal is the correct word. He was sliding down a piece of

road and it was fun to be picking up acceleration. It caused not just a

lot of fun but interest. We have been through hard times and now is

the time to start celebrating Bristol for everybody and bring grey

attention to the city across the world. If you didn't have a go, Alex

like to do it. Although I had a few crashes along the way, it was an

amazing experience. There are four more events planned for Bristol. The

idea is to create grey atmospheres and a bit of fun.

After plenty of dry weather across the weekend, there is more unsettled

weather to come. We will keep the dry conditions, though, through

tonight. It should be a frost free night for most places. In towns and

cities, seven or eight Celsius the overnight minimum temperature. We

have sunshine to start the day tomorrow but we will soon see

increasing cloud coming in from the west. Further to the east, remaining

dry and highs of 16 degrees. Turning more unsettled for the week ahead.

Mild on Tuesday and Wednesday but a mix of sunshine and showers.

Good evening. Bank Holiday Monday promises the highest temperatures of

this long weekend, particularly so across the eastern half of the UK.

We'll have some hazy sunshine too. In the west, it won't be quite so

warm. Here, there'll be more cloud. We'll see outbreaks of rain too.

Rain around tonight, chiefly across northern and western parts of

Scotland. A bit here and there for Northern Ireland. It is a dry night

with clear skies again in the south. Not as cold as recent night nights.

Not far from freezing in parts of the south in rural areas. Southerly

winds bringing cooler air. Temperatures rising in the hazy

sunshine in the east. In the west however, the cloud thickens, the

wind strengthens and outbreaks
