First tonight ` an RAF parachutist putting on a display with

his team at the Weston Air Festival has collided with an 82`year`old

An air ambulance took them both to hospital earlier this afternoon

This is the RAF Falcons teal putting on a perfect show yesterday.

As part of their freefall dhsplay the parachutists fall at spdeds

They are supposed to land in a designated drop zone on the beach.

One of the parachutists veered off course as he came in to land

He came across the road that runs along the seafront, crashing

into a burger van on the other side, hitting an elderly spdctator.

We were serving here and obviously they were landing on the be`ch.

One minute I was serving an old lady.

The next minute the parachutist was blown into the front of the van

The parachutist received minor injuries and was treated

The 82`year`old woman was more seriously injured and was flown

by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

The Air Festival continued this afternoon.
