A former Swindon Town footballer has been found guilty

The CCTV also appears to show him hitting a woman three times

He was arrested and held on suspicion of common assault `

Ranger arrived for trial at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning.

Facing a single charge of causing criminal damage.

His punishment today ` a fine of ?3185 for the damage to the door.

But many have already questioned why there are no other charges regarding

what seems to be an assault seen in the same video.

Today the CPS told us they'd never been asked to consider a charge

of assault against Nile Ranger ` only one of criminal damage.

They told us that the evidence against Ranger didn't

meet the threshold needed for a criminal conviction.

Ranger has played for the England under`19 squad in the past.

He played in the Premiership for Newcastle ` before he joined
