Wiltshire's chief constable Patrick Geenty, is being investigatdd by the

police watchdog following complaints about the way the force handled

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is also looking

into the actions of an inspdctor and a detective constable.

This latest development means that three of

the West's most senior officers are now the subject of investig`tions.

chief constable when the force received allegations from a member

It is vital that we listen to complaints and learn from them.

Mr Geenty remains at his job as chief constable today.

But the inspector, who hasn't been named,

The detective constable has been removed from operational duties

The IPCC said it was vital the public are confident th`t

police forces take their complaints seriously

Elsewhere, Chief Constable Nick Gargan remain suspended following

allegations of inappropriatd behaviour with two female mdmbers of

staff and data protection offences, which he strongly denies. And desert

Davenport is still part of `n inquiry about her part in an

investigation before she johned the force.

As in all matters surrounding chief constables, any decision on their

employment is made by the individual police and crime commissiondr.

A former Mayor of Weston`super`Mare has been sentenced to 14 months in

guilty to 12 charges, including making indecent photographs
