Well, the issue of devolved power has been getting

politicians hot under the collar after Scotland's historic vote.

And there's been speculation here in the west since the

Prime Minister promised to give more powers to English citids.

In particular, there's been criticism

of the way the four councils of the old Avon area work together.

The big vote in Scotland is set to mean big change south of thd border.

Now the Prime Minister has promhsed more

More money throughout the United Kingdom to amp our cities.

But just where does a city start and end?

Some argue that as Bristol grows ` the four councils that make up

the former Avon area should join forces to have greater clout.

Running anything with four offices at a meeting, who are primarily

there to guard their own interests, is a slow way to progress anything.

Here in Liverpool they do things differently.

The six councils that make tp the wider city`region have combined

over issues like transport and economic regeneration.
