Welcome to Wales Today. Our top story tonight: Has the tide gone | :00:08. | :00:11.
out on Swansea? A 19 million marina that was to be the | :00:11. | :00:21.
:00:21. | :00:23. | ||
centrepiece of the city's redevelopment looks in doubt. | :00:23. | :00:27.
set-aside for the project has now been spent elsewhere. | :00:27. | :00:30.
Our other headlines tonight: Nearly a year after the Gleision mining | :00:30. | :00:33.
disaster, 1 million is to be shared between the families of the | :00:33. | :00:43.
:00:43. | :00:43. | ||
four who died. I was actively involved. But I never perceived I | :00:43. | :00:49.
would ever see this. This has to be the best | :00:49. | :00:51.
apprenticeship in Wales - they've signed up with billionaire Sir | :00:51. | :00:54.
Terry Matthews, but none of them will be fired. | :00:54. | :00:57.
Good evening. I'll have all of tonight's sport including the | :00:57. | :01:03.
latest from the Paralympic Games, where the medals keep coming. | :01:03. | :01:07.
Aled's family were there in London as he won gold in the discus. Today, | :01:07. | :01:10.
his family are back home in Bridgend, helping to paint the post | :01:10. | :01:20.
:01:20. | :01:34. | ||
box at the end of the street. Good evening. Swansea has been | :01:34. | :01:37.
"snubbed" and is "becoming the poor relation" to Cardiff - that's | :01:37. | :01:40.
according to local politicians as the future of a planned multi- | :01:40. | :01:44.
million pound marina looks increasingly uncertain. BBC Wales | :01:44. | :01:46.
has learnt that money ring-fenced for the project has been | :01:46. | :01:51.
redistributed elsewhere by the Welsh Government. Abigail Neal is | :01:51. | :01:56.
on the waterfront in Swansea for us tonight. | :01:56. | :02:01.
Thanks, Jamie. Yes, I'm in the SA1 development, an area of the docks | :02:01. | :02:06.
that began being regenerated about a decade ago. Now, part of the plan | :02:06. | :02:09.
here was to have a second marina for Swansea, but that hasn't | :02:09. | :02:13.
happened yet, and there are fears tonight that it may be dead in the | :02:13. | :02:19.
water. SA1 has the flats, the offices, and | :02:19. | :02:25.
the cafe culture. What it's missing is a marina. The Welsh Government | :02:25. | :02:28.
set aside land sales to help pay 19 million for the lockgates to | :02:28. | :02:34.
make that happen. But the project stalled in 2008 and the money's no | :02:34. | :02:44.
:02:44. | :02:46. | ||
longer there. The money was ring- fenced and has been set -- spent | :02:46. | :02:55.
elsewhere. They have also scrapped it also -- altogether. A one-off | :02:55. | :02:59.
payment of 90 million is a lot to ask for. Swansea already has one | :02:59. | :03:02.
marina. The SA1 development was seen as an extension. Chris Sander | :03:02. | :03:04.
works for a company on the waterfront. Like many, his business | :03:04. | :03:13.
was relying on the promise of a second marina. In October, we have | :03:13. | :03:18.
a forum here with a number of companies from all over the world | :03:18. | :03:26.
coming here. I think it is part of the Britain -- prestigious | :03:26. | :03:30.
environment we are trying to enhance. If it stops now, it is a | :03:30. | :03:34.
major disappointment. Many here will tell you there is a demand for | :03:34. | :03:37.
more berths and an extra marina, but some argue the Welsh | :03:37. | :03:40.
Government's decision to reallocate the funds in an economic downturn | :03:40. | :03:50.
:03:50. | :04:03. | ||
was a sound one. In the current circumstances, particularly because | :04:03. | :04:09.
there is clear indication of over capacity and other marinas, I don't | :04:09. | :04:14.
think it is a viable prospect at the moment. Others say Swansea | :04:14. | :04:16.
cannot be called "Cardiff's poor relation", given the investment it | :04:16. | :04:23.
has received. The development of the university campus is a | :04:23. | :04:29.
fantastic positive. The fact there is no electrification plan for the | :04:29. | :04:36.
line up as far as Swansea is ticking the box. For now, SA1 | :04:36. | :04:38.
remains a work in progress, at least until the economic tide | :04:38. | :04:47.
begins to turn. I have come inside one of the cafes tonight. Joining | :04:47. | :04:54.
me now is a lose Bolan, the manager. What do you make of this idea that | :04:54. | :05:00.
the money is no longer there. think it is very upsetting, | :05:00. | :05:05.
basically. This is what we were expecting. Five years ago, it was | :05:05. | :05:09.
part of a business plan, and to find the money is not there, and we | :05:09. | :05:13.
were not get the marina and extra for traffic we were hoping for, is | :05:13. | :05:20.
a bit worrying. Is it just an arena that is missing, or was there other | :05:20. | :05:25.
developments who you were expecting, perhaps, five were 10 years ago? | :05:25. | :05:30.
Yes. They are still building something, and there are Ilott of | :05:30. | :05:34.
offices here. But we were hoping for a rather more leisure sort of | :05:34. | :05:41.
based area. There are a few, but I do not think there are enough. | :05:41. | :05:45.
about the argument you can have a marina, but it might only be half | :05:45. | :05:48.
full, and given the economic situation, you're better off having | :05:48. | :05:56.
that money put to other causes? They are always worthy causes, but | :05:56. | :06:06.
:06:06. | :06:09. | ||
with the marina being full, there is obviously demand for it. This is | :06:09. | :06:14.
not to say that the marina will never happen. Many businesses were | :06:14. | :06:18.
not see this as being complete until it comes, but it may just be | :06:18. | :06:23.
a few years longer than we were expecting to wait. | :06:23. | :06:26.
More than 1 million is to be shared amongst the families of the | :06:26. | :06:29.
four men who died in the Gleision mining disaster. Trustees met today | :06:29. | :06:32.
to wind up the appeal fund, which was launched after the disaster | :06:32. | :06:37.
The tragedy at Gleision last September shocked people around the | :06:38. | :06:41.
world. Four men died when a retaining wall collapsed, sending | :06:41. | :06:45.
water flooding through the mine. David Powell, Charles Breslin, | :06:45. | :06:51.
Garry Jenkins and Philip Hill were all killed. Within days, tens of | :06:51. | :06:54.
thousands of pounds had been pledged to a fund to help the men's | :06:54. | :06:59.
families. A total of just over 1 million was raised. That's now been | :06:59. | :07:07.
shared among them. The amount of money raised and the way it was | :07:07. | :07:13.
raised is phenomenal. When you are opening let us from all the people, | :07:13. | :07:20.
and they were giving 5 donations, really humbling. Two widows, Mavis | :07:20. | :07:22.
Breslin and Lynette Powell, along with Gary Jenkins' partner, will | :07:22. | :07:26.
each receive a lump sum. The rest of the money will be invested in | :07:26. | :07:31.
trust funds for the miners' children. You can never give a | :07:31. | :07:37.
father back to a child. The family tells you money doesn't matter. I | :07:37. | :07:45.
have lived it. I lost my father when I was 17. I understood, very | :07:45. | :07:52.
early, but family -- that money can help. 6,000 was raised in just two | :07:52. | :07:54.
days by a public collection in Neath by former firefighters. Their | :07:54. | :07:57.
chairman, Ray Evans, was part of the rescue effort at Aberfan and | :07:57. | :08:01.
says they had to do something to help. We thought it only fit we | :08:01. | :08:08.
should do something that would help the miners out. At the disaster, | :08:08. | :08:13.
the miners worked their socks off, and we thought, men like that | :08:13. | :08:17.
deserve support. The trustees said they've had to make some difficult | :08:17. | :08:20.
decisions about how the money will be distributed because of the | :08:20. | :08:23.
differing needs of the families, but they were determined they | :08:23. | :08:25.
should get their share before the first anniversary of the disaster. | :08:25. | :08:28.
A new voluntary code of practice giving milk producers more | :08:28. | :08:31.
bargaining power over the price of milk has been agreed. Earlier this | :08:31. | :08:33.
summer, Welsh farmers joined protests and blockades, angry at | :08:34. | :08:38.
drops in the price they've been receiving for their milk. The deal | :08:38. | :08:41.
thrashed out by farming unions and Dairy UK will give more security | :08:41. | :08:51.
:08:51. | :08:52. | ||
against price fluctuation. farmers will be part of discussions | :08:52. | :08:58.
in terms of milk prices. The terms this set the prices will be | :08:58. | :09:03.
revealed. They won't be able to reduce prices without a month's | :09:03. | :09:08.
notice. The farm or will have the right to resign his contract if he | :09:08. | :09:16.
feels he has not been fairly done. There are a few things in there to | :09:16. | :09:20.
protect the rights of the farmer. A woman has been jailed at Swansea | :09:21. | :09:23.
Crown Court for injecting a teenage boy with heroin moments before he | :09:24. | :09:27.
was found dead. Helen Harding from Swansea gave the lethal shot to 16- | :09:27. | :09:30.
year-old Kyle Bates then denied it at the inquest into his death. She | :09:30. | :09:33.
was sentenced to three years in prison. | :09:33. | :09:36.
The UK Government has revealed that it's not yet signed the contract | :09:36. | :09:39.
for a new franchise to run the West Coast mainline, which includes | :09:39. | :09:42.
services between London and North Wales because of a legal challenge | :09:42. | :09:48.
by Virgin Trains. Ministers had decided to award the franchise to | :09:48. | :09:51.
First Group from December but now, they intend to defend the legal | :09:51. | :09:56.
action "robustly". Welsh Conservative MPs will be | :09:56. | :10:00.
sitting down having their tea tonight, hoping the phone will ring. | :10:00. | :10:03.
It's expected the Prime Minister will reshuffle his Cabinet, and the | :10:03. | :10:08.
Westminster rumour mill has gone in to overdrive. Will we have a new | :10:08. | :10:11.
Secretary of State for Wales by tomorrow? Lets talk to our | :10:11. | :10:20.
Parliamentary correspondent, David Cornock. Is the present Welsh | :10:20. | :10:25.
Secretary going to go? As we speak, she is a bomb at a train, making | :10:25. | :10:30.
her way back from Cardiff to Westminster after a routine way -- | :10:30. | :10:36.
date in her job. I have spent the last few days talking to MPs and | :10:36. | :10:43.
others within government, and the feeling years her time may be up. | :10:43. | :10:51.
Despite the fact there is no real university -- universally accepted | :10:52. | :10:55.
replacement. Welsh Conservative say that she should be replaced by | :10:55. | :11:03.
someone based in Wales, and that only leaves one or two candidates. | :11:03. | :11:08.
Alternatively, David Cameron does not by that argument, then the name | :11:08. | :11:13.
to a car for his at Maria Miller - Minister for Disabled People, | :11:13. | :11:19.
knocking on the Cabinet door. She grew up in Bridgend. Any white | :11:19. | :11:23.
smoke yet? It looks like we will get details of the reshuffle | :11:23. | :11:30.
tomorrow. Her David Cameron's first big one for two and a half years, | :11:30. | :11:35.
looking at all level of the Government. People like Cheryl | :11:35. | :11:45.
:11:45. | :11:47. | ||
Gillan born not what that phone to ring, because it will be bad news. | :11:47. | :11:50.
Much more to come before 7 o'clock. We'll have the latest from the | :11:51. | :11:55.
Paralympics with Tomos Dafydd. The medals keep coming. I'll be | :11:55. | :11:59.
talking to this man. He's one of the oldest competitors and after 20 | :11:59. | :12:02.
years of trying, Paul Davies FINALLY wins bronze in the table | :12:02. | :12:12.
:12:12. | :12:13. | ||
As apprenticeships go, this has to be one of the most attractive. But | :12:13. | :12:15.
unlike the television series, this lot won't get fired. The | :12:15. | :12:18.
billionaire Sir Terry Matthews has officially opened his mentoring | :12:18. | :12:21.
scheme in Newport. The Alacrity Project will provide 12 technology | :12:21. | :12:31.
:12:31. | :12:40. | ||
graduates with money, contacts and Forget London's Millennium Bridge. | :12:40. | :12:44.
Newport is where the next generation of business talent is. | :12:44. | :12:49.
Fans of the Apprentice will be familiar with this format. People | :12:49. | :12:54.
work furiously to please a businessman but move over, Alan | :12:54. | :13:01.
Shearer. This is Sir Terry. It is important to start at the higher | :13:01. | :13:07.
level. They do not come much better. They may be incredibly well | :13:07. | :13:11.
educated but it is a new world for them. It is incumbent upon all | :13:11. | :13:16.
asked to help them become the next generation of business people and | :13:16. | :13:23.
employ people. 12 graduates will be split into three teams and work for | :13:23. | :13:28.
one year at the foundation office. They will be provided with business | :13:28. | :13:33.
advice, start-up money and access to customers. This is all about | :13:33. | :13:40.
money. Half of the budget is coming from the Welsh government. When the | :13:40. | :13:45.
companies are off the ground, 25% will be owned by the Graduate, 25% | :13:45. | :13:50.
by the Alacrity Project and the rest by private investors. But the | :13:50. | :13:55.
ambition is to make more of this. This scheme is open to applicants | :13:55. | :13:59.
worldwide. The Firstgroup have come from as far afield as Bangladesh | :13:59. | :14:09.
and as close as a report. -- preliminary group. -- Newport. | :14:09. | :14:13.
think only now companies like this foundation are looking for that | :14:13. | :14:19.
kind of thing, starting to make things work again. The plan is to | :14:19. | :14:24.
have for several companies merging and operating a cross Wales. Like | :14:24. | :14:29.
the apprentice, there will be a lot of hard work, a bit of luck and | :14:29. | :14:33.
maybe tears. But all of these young business people have got the chance | :14:33. | :14:43.
to become the next Lord Sugar. All Good evening. The medals keep | :14:43. | :14:46.
coming at the Paralympic Games. It was a golden weekend for Bridgend's | :14:46. | :14:49.
Aled Sion Davies and there have been more medals today. Live to the | :14:49. | :14:52.
Olympic Park. Tomos Dafydd is there. And much for Swansea to celebrate | :14:52. | :14:59.
in the last hour? Welcome to London. Plenty of smiling faces here | :14:59. | :15:04.
tonight. This is the face an -- place where the Paralympians gather | :15:04. | :15:09.
after picking up their medals to speak to the media. We will be | :15:09. | :15:13.
talking to a bronze medallist in just a moment. But first at the | :15:13. | :15:18.
aquatic centre. In the past hour, Ellie Simmonds, based in Swansea | :15:18. | :15:25.
has been going for her second gold medal. This is how it unfolded. She | :15:25. | :15:32.
stepped out in front of a packed crowd. She was next to Newport's | :15:32. | :15:39.
Liz Johnson. She did it in style. She has taken gold and broken her | :15:39. | :15:44.
own world record set in qualifying. This is a culmination of years of | :15:44. | :15:51.
hard work. She trains in Swansea up to 30 hours per week. It is an | :15:51. | :15:55.
honour for her. Smiling on the podium, she was given her a medal | :15:55. | :16:00.
by the Prime Minister David Cameron. All smiles for Ellie Simmonds. But | :16:00. | :16:05.
the celebrations for Welsh athletes started before lunchtime today. | :16:05. | :16:11.
Paul Davies took bronze in the table tennis at Apax arena. Let's | :16:11. | :16:21.
:16:21. | :16:21. | ||
have a good look at that medal. -- a packed arena. I am very proud. | :16:21. | :16:27.
Tell us about the atmosphere when you finally won that match. It was | :16:27. | :16:32.
unbelievable. I thought the roof was going to take off and the noise | :16:32. | :16:37.
was unbelievable. The British crowd were brilliant. But it has not | :16:37. | :16:41.
happened overnight because you have been trying and trying for more | :16:41. | :16:46.
than 20 years to qualify for the Paralympics. This is your first | :16:46. | :16:50.
games and she picked up a bronze first time round. How difficult has | :16:50. | :16:57.
it been? I have had a lot of injury, stress and worry about finance. But | :16:57. | :17:01.
to get a medal around my neck it has definitely been what it and I | :17:01. | :17:06.
look forward to a bit of a holiday and may be going back in November | :17:06. | :17:14.
and going to Rio de Janeiro. did you get involved? I started | :17:14. | :17:18.
with wheelchair rugby many years ago and then I picked up table | :17:18. | :17:23.
tennis. I used to play at a youth club. I took it up and I have never | :17:23. | :17:28.
looked back and it has been good to me. I have travelled the world and | :17:28. | :17:34.
it has been amazing. All the best and enjoy the party in the next few | :17:34. | :17:41.
days. Thank you very much indeed. Add more celebrations down the road | :17:41. | :17:46.
in Bridgend after Sean Davis took gold in the discus yesterday. He | :17:46. | :17:50.
said he had thought about competing in non-disabled competitions in | :17:50. | :17:57.
future. Still buzzing after his gold, Aled Sion Davies said it was | :17:57. | :18:01.
the best day of his life. The 21- year-old, who has restricted | :18:01. | :18:07.
movement in his right leg said he wanted to represent Wales as a non | :18:07. | :18:10.
disabled athlete. He could potentially feature in the | :18:10. | :18:20.
:18:20. | :18:21. | ||
Commonwealth Games in 20 --. I want to go for gold. It is a four-year | :18:21. | :18:26.
cycle with Rio de Janeiro. I want to carry on working and I Want To | :18:26. | :18:30.
Get To Rio de Janeiro. I have still got big dreams and ambitions and I | :18:30. | :18:36.
hope that it will be as good as it was here. I want to push towards | :18:36. | :18:41.
getting a place on the Commonwealth Games. Just keep pushing the | :18:41. | :18:45.
barriers of the sport. When he got gold, nobody was prouder than his | :18:45. | :18:51.
mother. After a quick kiss, it was a chance for him to reflect on his | :18:51. | :18:58.
achievement in beating his opponents. He has got silver. | :18:58. | :19:08.
:19:08. | :19:09. | ||
LAUGHTER... I am really hyperventilating. And myself. Back | :19:09. | :19:13.
home in Bridgend and his mother Jackie had managed to catch their | :19:13. | :19:18.
breath. A golden postbox yards away from the family house is certainly | :19:18. | :19:23.
worth showing off to the neighbours. Even his brother helped out. | :19:23. | :19:30.
should be painting this, not me! am really delighted. It has been a | :19:30. | :19:36.
great event. Or some. I am the proudest brother in the world. -- | :19:37. | :19:42.
awesome. It is fantastic and he deserves it. And he has achieved | :19:42. | :19:47.
his goal. All the heartache in all of the years and the suffering have | :19:47. | :19:52.
been worth it. To have this recognition. It has been brilliant. | :19:52. | :19:57.
It is a weekend the family will never forget. His dreams have been | :19:57. | :20:02.
realised, winning gold at his first Olympic Games. Plenty to look | :20:02. | :20:07.
forward to in the next few days. Keep an eye out for Tracey Hinton | :20:07. | :20:12.
at first six games in the 100 metres sprint. Much more to come in | :20:12. | :20:18.
the next few days. Teenage defender Ben Davies has been called up by | :20:18. | :20:21.
Wales for their first two World Cup qualifiers, starting on Friday | :20:21. | :20:24.
against Belgium. He replaces his Swansea City team-mate Neil Taylor | :20:24. | :20:27.
who broke his ankle on Saturday and will now miss the rest of the | :20:27. | :20:36.
season. Here's Ashleigh Crowter. Whichever way you look at it, it | :20:36. | :20:39.
wasn't a great tackle. But sadly, for Neil Taylor, it was also one | :20:39. | :20:42.
that ended his season. The Swansea left back knew straight away that | :20:42. | :20:45.
there was a serious problem. X-rays show multiple fractures to his left | :20:45. | :20:48.
ankle. Surgeons operated to reset the bones on Saturday night. Both | :20:48. | :20:52.
Wales and Swansea will miss the 2012 Olympian. 19 year-old Ben | :20:52. | :20:54.
Davies, who replaced Taylor at the Liberty Stadium, has now been | :20:54. | :20:57.
called up by Wales for the opening World Cup qualifier against Belgium | :20:57. | :21:02.
on Friday. Craig Bellamy and Andrew Crofts will also miss the game | :21:02. | :21:09.
through injury. Swansea's excellent start continued with a 2-2 draw | :21:09. | :21:13.
against Sunderland. They went behind twice, but goals from Wayne | :21:13. | :21:16.
Routledge and a fourth of the season from Michu saw them grab a | :21:16. | :21:19.
point. They are second in the Premier League going into the | :21:19. | :21:21.
international break. In the Championship, Cardiff City fielded | :21:21. | :21:25.
new signings Craig Noone and Nicky Maynard against Wolves. The | :21:25. | :21:28.
Bluesbirds went behind after only 10 minutes, but they were soon on | :21:28. | :21:30.
level terms as Peter Whittingham converted the penalty that Noone | :21:31. | :21:33.
had won. With Maynard heavily involved, City then went ahead. | :21:33. | :21:38.
Whittingham again with precision placement. And in the second half | :21:38. | :21:46.
he completed his hat trick with the pick of the three. Looking at them | :21:46. | :21:49.
today they are beginning to get it and I am happy with them and the | :21:49. | :21:55.
way they have applied themselves. We are bringing on good football | :21:55. | :21:59.
was as well and I am delighted with their performance. In the Blues | :21:59. | :22:01.
Square Bet Premier, Wrexham claimed the spoils in the Welsh derby. | :22:01. | :22:04.
Goals from Adrian Chizlevitch and Danny Wright ended Newport County's | :22:04. | :22:14.
:22:14. | :22:19. | ||
five match unbeaten run. But the Warren Gatland is expected to be | :22:19. | :22:24.
named as the head coach for the British and Irish Lions tour of | :22:24. | :22:30.
Australia. We will be talking to him tomorrow. It is perhaps the | :22:30. | :22:34.
most romantic Church in Wales, set in one of the most beautiful | :22:34. | :22:40.
locations. Built by the patron saint of Welsh lovers. Parts of the | :22:40. | :22:44.
St Dwynwen church in Anglesey have been buried in the sand for | :22:44. | :22:48.
hundreds of years. We have been to see conservationists turning back | :22:48. | :22:54.
time. This is a beautiful but remote spot that has been | :22:54. | :23:00.
attracting pilgrims for centuries. That is why this work is being done. | :23:00. | :23:10.
:23:10. | :23:11. | ||
Remedies the senior manager. -- this man. The owner fled here | :23:11. | :23:16.
hundreds of years ago because of problems in South Wales. She came | :23:16. | :23:21.
here and established a church in her name. It became a very | :23:21. | :23:26.
important pilgrimage site for hundreds of years. It became a very | :23:26. | :23:35.
significant site. Talk us through what is happening. We are in | :23:35. | :23:37.
partnership with the various organisations and we have excavated | :23:37. | :23:43.
areas around the church. We have extracted parts of the original | :23:43. | :23:48.
church and rubble is being moved. The same is happening in and | :23:48. | :23:52.
outside the church. We are looking at architectural features. I will | :23:52. | :23:56.
have to put on my safety equipment because we are on a building site | :23:56. | :24:01.
and I will speak to the archaeologists fear. You uncovered | :24:01. | :24:10.
is indeed last two weeks. -- archaeologist here. We are just at | :24:10. | :24:13.
that stage where we have discovered the base of the steps and the bench | :24:14. | :24:19.
around the nave as well as the areas where we are standing down. | :24:19. | :24:24.
We have got to begin the process here of conservation. Part of the | :24:24. | :24:28.
project is about this and not so much about archaeology but | :24:28. | :24:35.
conserving what we have. The patron saint of lovers and hopefully this | :24:35. | :24:43.
work will make more people fall in love with this church. I may use up | :24:43. | :24:49.
sunshine and we have got more dry weather coming this week. -- I know | :24:49. | :24:55.
you love sunshine. High pressure is you love sunshine. High pressure is | :24:55. | :24:59.
coming this week bring in Nice spells of weather. We have got a | :24:59. | :25:06.
good start for most of us. Cloud becoming widespread and mist and | :25:06. | :25:12.
eventually rain reaching Anglesey. Quite muggy tonight. Temperatures | :25:12. | :25:17.
at 12 and 15. This is moving south east across Britain. This is | :25:17. | :25:22.
bringing a bit of rain, followed by a clearer and fresher conditions | :25:22. | :25:29.
and high pressure waiting in the wings. Tomorrow, grey and cloudy. | :25:29. | :25:33.
Dry at this stage in the South but further north and west, we will | :25:33. | :25:40.
have some damp weather and light rain and drizzle. Fog as well. | :25:40. | :25:46.
Temperatures at 16. Rain and Brazil -- drizzle stretch -- spreading | :25:46. | :25:53.
further. It will start to cheer up in the afternoon. Much of the | :25:53. | :25:58.
country becoming quite sunny by the end of the day. But quite cloudy in | :25:58. | :26:04.
the south-east. Temperatures not as high as today. Up to 20 degrees and | :26:04. | :26:14.
a moderate west and north westerly degrees. -- breeze. Becoming quite | :26:14. | :26:18.
sunny in the afternoon and temperatures rising up to 17. | :26:18. | :26:22.
Tomorrow, dry and clear skies. Temperatures in mid-Wales falling | :26:22. | :26:29.
down to as low as eight in the Brecon Beacons. High pressure over | :26:29. | :26:35.
Ireland. This is moving south by Friday. After tomorrow, it is set | :26:35. | :26:42.
fair for a few days. Mist and fog first thing but otherwise dry. | :26:42. | :26:46.
Sunny spells and pleasantly warm. At the moment the weekend looks | :26:46. | :26:51.
largely dry and warm. That is great news for Proms in the park. Last | :26:51. | :26:56.
year it was cancelled because of heavy rain. But Saturday night | :26:56. | :27:03.
should be nice and dry. After the wettest summer in Wales since 1927, | :27:03. | :27:10.
we are in for a dry spell for a change. Keep updated online. Some | :27:10. | :27:13.
change. Keep updated online. Some good news on the weather forecast | :27:13. | :27:19.
front. The Prime Minister David Cameron is finalising plans for a | :27:19. | :27:24.
major reshuffle. Changes are expected to Murray and could see | :27:24. | :27:29.
dozens of ministers changing, or losing their jobs. There is | :27:29. | :27:34. |
