Welcome to Wales Today. Tonight's headlines. | :00:20. | :00:28.
5,000 people treated at Welsh hospitals will be contacted after a | :00:28. | :00:30.
health care worker infected two patients with Hepatitis C. | :00:30. | :00:37.
MP Nigel Evans tells the Commons he'll continue to represent his | :00:37. | :00:40.
constituents, after being charged with eight sexual offences, | :00:40. | :00:49.
including rape. 15 years ago, women were allowed to | :00:49. | :00:51.
including rape. become priests. Now members of the | :00:51. | :00:57.
Church in Wales gather to decide whether women can become bishops. | :00:57. | :01:01.
Using tolls from the Severn crossings to fund an M4 relief road | :01:01. | :01:05.
- why some business leaders are concerned by the idea. | :01:05. | :01:09.
Prince William has done his last shift at RAF Valley, ending his time | :01:09. | :01:12.
as a search and rescue helicopter pilot on Anglesey. | :01:12. | :01:15.
And after another disappointing night for Welsh football, questions | :01:15. | :01:18.
over the future of the Wales manager. | :01:18. | :01:24.
5,000 people are to be offered blood tests after a retired health worker | :01:24. | :01:29.
infected two people with Hepatitis C. The person, who can't be | :01:29. | :01:36.
identified, spent most of their career at Caerphilly District | :01:36. | :01:38.
Miners' Hospital, but also worked in other parts of Wales and the UK. | :01:39. | :01:42.
Here's our health correspondent Owain Clarke. | :01:42. | :01:52.
5500 women in Wales will receive a letter within the next few days. It | :01:52. | :01:56.
is one of the most serious public health alert ever seen here. At | :01:56. | :02:01.
least two patients contracted the disease from the health care | :02:01. | :02:05.
Caerphilly District Miners' Hospital for almost 20 years. They all spent | :02:05. | :02:12.
time at the hospital in Pontypridd and in North Wales. Health officials | :02:12. | :02:18.
in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are also contacting former | :02:18. | :02:21.
patients who may have come into contact with the infected person. | :02:21. | :02:28.
This incident is wider than Wales. The health care worker worked in | :02:28. | :02:31.
England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. All four of the areas can | :02:31. | :02:40.
do the same thing for patients who may be at risk. Hepatitis C can have | :02:40. | :02:47.
no obvious symptoms but they can be flu-like symptoms, tiredness and | :02:47. | :02:54.
depression. In some cases, it can lead to serious liver damage. You | :02:54. | :02:58.
can catch the virus by coming into contact with the blood of an | :02:58. | :03:04.
infected person. And in the vast majority of cases, treatment is | :03:04. | :03:10.
successful. Over the last decade, a lot of new and effective drugs have | :03:10. | :03:16.
been developed. 20 years ago, knowing you had the disease did not | :03:16. | :03:22.
help but now there is effective treatment that can get that of the | :03:22. | :03:26.
chronic disease. It is worthwhile knowing you have got it. Health | :03:26. | :03:32.
officials insist that patients will receive this letter but should not | :03:32. | :03:37.
be overly alarmed. But with two cases confirmed, they are urging | :03:37. | :03:41.
women who could be at risk to get in touch so that they can be offered | :03:41. | :03:51.
tests, advice and support. The director of public health for | :03:51. | :03:56.
the Aneurin Bevan health board joins us now. People who receive these | :03:56. | :04:00.
letters are going to be worried. What is your message to them | :04:00. | :04:06.
tonight? My message would be that we are really contacting them as a | :04:06. | :04:11.
precautionary measure. We are contacting anyone who was definitely | :04:11. | :04:15.
or possibly treated by this health care worker to come forward so that | :04:15. | :04:19.
we can offer them an appointment and a test for Hepatitis C. How and when | :04:19. | :04:25.
did you become aware that this was a serious issue? We became aware that | :04:25. | :04:32.
there had been a transmission to a case in May of this year. We were | :04:32. | :04:40.
advised by the UK advisory panel on blood-borne viruses that we needed | :04:40. | :04:45.
to start a look back exercise which would involve looking through | :04:45. | :04:49.
thousands of clinical records, over 20 years of history, and a shorter | :04:49. | :05:00.
time for some health boards. We were then alerted by the laboratory about | :05:00. | :05:08.
the second transmission because they had that patient's details on record | :05:08. | :05:12.
and made the same match to the health care worker. Do you believe | :05:12. | :05:18.
this could have been prevented? Nowadays, in 2007, there was some | :05:18. | :05:26.
new guidance which said all people entering the NHS who were going to | :05:26. | :05:30.
perform exposure prone procedures needed additional health clearance | :05:30. | :05:35.
so that they should definitely be proven to be free of HIV, Hepatitis | :05:35. | :05:40.
B and Hepatitis C before they began work. Obviously, 20 years ago, that | :05:40. | :05:48.
was not the case. Thank you. The Swansea-born MP Nigel Evans says | :05:48. | :05:51.
he'll defend himself robustly after being charged with eight sexual | :05:51. | :05:54.
offences, including rape. Mr Evans, a former Conservative spokesman on | :05:55. | :05:57.
Wales, told the House of Commons he'd resign as its Deputy Speaker, | :05:58. | :06:01.
but would carry on as an independent MP. From Westminster, here's our | :06:01. | :06:04.
parliamentary correspondent, David Cornock. | :06:04. | :06:12.
Back at work in the House of Commons less than 24 hours after being | :06:12. | :06:16.
charged with eight sexual attacks. Nigel Evans made an emotional | :06:16. | :06:20.
personal statement to MPs explaining why he had resigned as Deputy | :06:20. | :06:25.
Speaker. This is the most painful thing I have in due at in my life | :06:25. | :06:29.
alongside the loss of my mother in 2009 and the loss of my brother | :06:29. | :06:33.
earlier this year. Winston Churchill said, when you are going through | :06:34. | :06:40.
hell, keep going. Sage advice. I will see this through to the end. | :06:40. | :06:44.
With the support of the people who mean so much to me. He has said he | :06:44. | :06:51.
will sit as an independent while legal proceedings continue. His | :06:51. | :06:54.
speech got a sympathetic response from many MPs here but others | :06:55. | :06:59.
wondered whether it was appropriate, given the very serious criminal | :06:59. | :07:04.
charges he now faces. The former Shadow Welsh Secretary spent | :07:04. | :07:08.
yesterday more than 200 miles from Westminster at Preston police | :07:08. | :07:11.
station being questioned by detectives. He emerged last night | :07:11. | :07:16.
charged with one rape, five sexual assaults and two indecent assaults. | :07:16. | :07:21.
The alleged victims are all men. He has consistently denied the | :07:21. | :07:26.
allegations. I have today answered bail following complaints I have | :07:26. | :07:31.
said were incredulous. While I am saddened this case has not been | :07:31. | :07:35.
closed today, I am certain of two things. Firstly, that I am innocent, | :07:35. | :07:40.
and secondly, that my innocence will be demonstrated. Nigel Evans will | :07:40. | :07:45.
make his first court appearance a week today. | :07:45. | :07:48.
A prisoner who's serving a life sentence has admitted attacking the | :07:48. | :07:51.
man who murdered five-year-old April Jones. Juvinai Ferreira, who's 22, | :07:51. | :07:54.
wounded Mark Bridger at Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire. Bridger | :07:54. | :07:58.
was jailed for killing April, from Machynlleth, earlier this year. | :07:58. | :08:01.
Juvinai will be sentenced next month. | :08:01. | :08:11.
Unemployment in Wales has fallen by 7,000 in the last three months. The | :08:11. | :08:14.
latest figures show 118,000 people here are now out of work. Across the | :08:14. | :08:18.
UK, unemployment has fallen by 24,000. | :08:18. | :08:22.
Members of the Church in Wales have been gathering in Lampeter on the | :08:22. | :08:26.
eve of a vote which will decide if women can become bishops. For some, | :08:26. | :08:29.
it is a long-awaited, logical step after women were given the right to | :08:29. | :08:33.
become priests back in 1996. But others say a vote in favour would | :08:33. | :08:36.
split the church. Caroline Evans reports. | :08:36. | :08:42.
When the Church in Wales agreed to ordain women as priests, the women | :08:42. | :08:47.
involved said it was a turning point in the history of the church. For | :08:47. | :08:52.
them and their supporters, the next obvious and logical step was to | :08:53. | :08:57.
appoint women as bishops. 17 years on, they hope that moment might | :08:57. | :09:03.
finally come. Among the first women ordained was the Reverend here. For | :09:03. | :09:10.
her it is unthinkable that the church would say no to women as | :09:10. | :09:15.
bishops. So why issue putting forward an amendment that some fear | :09:15. | :09:21.
could scupper the whole bill? There is the possibility for infinite | :09:21. | :09:25.
delay. We will not have women bishops until a second law is passed | :09:25. | :09:29.
to make provision for those who dissent. That could mean that every | :09:29. | :09:33.
governing body, twice a year, for ever, could be an argument about how | :09:33. | :09:39.
best to care for them. As a way Christian people should proceed is | :09:39. | :09:41.
away by mutual agreement in that way. Today, the governing body began | :09:41. | :09:48.
gathering in Lampeter. They will vote on the issue tomorrow but it | :09:48. | :09:52.
looks like being a lengthy and passionate debate. There are still | :09:52. | :09:54.
those within the church cannot accept the idea of women as bishops. | :09:54. | :10:00.
The bishops here are raging people to vote in principle for the idea | :10:00. | :10:04.
while promising that in practice nothing will change until another | :10:04. | :10:08.
bill is passed to cater for those who object to the idea. People like | :10:08. | :10:16.
Father Ben Andrews. He says he and others would have to consider their | :10:16. | :10:22.
future if the bill is voted through. My fear is that it is going to cause | :10:22. | :10:27.
great disunity within the church. Yes, we have lived with women | :10:27. | :10:33.
deacons, women priests, for the last ten or 15 years, but this is a whole | :10:33. | :10:42.
new ball game. It leaves us in a mess as to where we can be. We have | :10:42. | :10:48.
been told we have an honoured place within the church but that place is | :10:48. | :10:52.
going to be incredibly difficult if not impossible for us to stay and | :10:52. | :11:01.
remain. It is a complicated picture. If the bill is passed, it will not | :11:01. | :11:07.
guarantee the ordination of women as bishops and it will be at least two | :11:07. | :11:10.
years until the next step is taken in that direction. The uncertainty | :11:10. | :11:20.
is not acceptable. But if it all fails, the whole idea will be | :11:20. | :11:26.
shelved for five years. Still to come tonight. | :11:26. | :11:29.
The idea of using tolls from the Severn crossings to pay for an M4 | :11:29. | :11:32.
relief road - why there's opposition from some business leaders. | :11:32. | :11:35.
And even an appearance by Gareth Bale couldn't save Wales against | :11:35. | :11:39.
Serbia. Now questions over the future of the Manager. | :11:39. | :11:43.
The practice of blacklisting workers for union activity or raising | :11:43. | :11:47.
questions about health and safety was made illegal three years ago. | :11:47. | :11:54.
But unions argue it still goes on. Now, the Civil Engineering and | :11:54. | :11:56.
Contractors Association and several trades unions have welcomed the | :11:56. | :11:59.
Welsh Government becoming the first in the UK to help the public sector | :11:59. | :12:02.
ban companies known to blacklist workers from bidding for Government | :12:03. | :12:07.
contracts. Here's our economics correspondent Sarah Dickins. | :12:07. | :12:16.
The early 1970s and hundreds of workers are building an advanced | :12:16. | :12:21.
site. At the time, some raised fears that scaffolding was not safe. Now | :12:21. | :12:26.
George James knows questioning his employers cost him years of work. He | :12:26. | :12:30.
looks at the evidence that he was turned down for work as an | :12:30. | :12:34.
allegation because he was on a secret blacklist, accused of being a | :12:34. | :12:39.
communist. I applied for jobs but never had a reply. I never joined | :12:39. | :12:44.
the commonest party or anything else. Were you a troublemaker? No, I | :12:44. | :12:55.
always abided by the law. The letter has confirmed that he was one of | :12:55. | :13:00.
thousands of names on the list used by the construction industry. Across | :13:01. | :13:06.
Wales, there were around 100 others. Unions fear many others were | :13:06. | :13:11.
also denied work on the basis of gossip. This is just part of the | :13:11. | :13:16.
£4.3 billion of public money given to private companies each year in | :13:16. | :13:20.
Wales, blacklisting workers. It is now illegal but the Welsh government | :13:20. | :13:27.
fears it still exists. It is helping companies to ban companies who | :13:28. | :13:33.
blacklist workers from bidding for work. Massive projects like this are | :13:33. | :13:38.
not just very expensive, they are also very competitive. The companies | :13:38. | :13:41.
that Wendy tended to build projects like this want to do it quickly and | :13:41. | :13:45.
within budget. They don't want any delays. The message from the Welsh | :13:45. | :13:50.
government is that any company who is known to have blacklisted workers | :13:50. | :13:53.
will not be allowed to bid for projects like this. This is a strong | :13:53. | :14:00.
message today from the Welsh government. Blacklisting is | :14:00. | :14:04.
unacceptable, it is inappropriate, and it is illegal. Not | :14:04. | :14:09.
surprisingly, trade unions have welcomed the Welsh government's | :14:09. | :14:15.
action. So do some employers. Companies that may have been | :14:15. | :14:18.
involved in the past will have nothing to fear in the future. They | :14:18. | :14:23.
need to demonstrate how they have gone about that. The Welsh | :14:23. | :14:28.
government hopes the rest of the UK will follow its lead and make | :14:28. | :14:31.
blacklisting workers a thing of the past. | :14:31. | :14:33.
Using the money from the tolls on the Severn crossings to finance an | :14:33. | :14:37.
M4 relief road would face stiff opposition from business leaders. | :14:37. | :14:40.
That's according to the Federation of Small Businesses, which says it's | :14:40. | :14:43.
deeply concerned at renewed suggestions that the Westminster and | :14:43. | :14:46.
Welsh Governments are discussing the proposal. But the Welsh Government | :14:46. | :14:50.
says it would seek to reduce toll levels if control of the bridges was | :14:50. | :14:54.
ever devolved. More from our political reporter James Williams. | :14:54. | :15:00.
It is a road well travelled. The debate over what to do with the | :15:00. | :15:03.
Severn Bridge tolls has rumbled on for years. Scrap them completely, | :15:03. | :15:09.
reduce the cost of the Welsh government's preferred option. But | :15:09. | :15:12.
what about using the money to finance a project further down the | :15:12. | :15:16.
M4? Gridlock after an accident near Newport. Building a relief road has | :15:16. | :15:23.
been on the cards for years. But now, with Westminster support. We | :15:23. | :15:29.
will be able to say more about the impressive plans to improve the M4 | :15:29. | :15:34.
in south Wales. But it is not cheap. This idea of using the tolls | :15:34. | :15:39.
once they revert to public ownership to fund the relief road has gained | :15:39. | :15:43.
traction recently. It was first raised by the Finance Minister this | :15:43. | :15:49.
summer, followed by a quick rebuttal by the first Minister. But then a | :15:49. | :15:52.
key adviser in Cardiff Bay said the plans are very much on the | :15:52. | :15:56.
negotiating table between the Treasury and the Welsh government. | :15:56. | :15:58.
negotiating table between the It is a plan that will affect | :15:58. | :16:04.
businesses. 80,000 vehicles crossed the bridge is every day. We were | :16:04. | :16:14.
always hopeful that as the bridge comes back into public ownership | :16:14. | :16:19.
that the tools will be reduced. With this option, it seems they will not | :16:20. | :16:23.
be and it is not seem fair that they will be used to fund the new road. | :16:24. | :16:30.
The Federation of small businesses agrees but believes the stand-off on | :16:30. | :16:32.
this issue and be separate debate on further following -- borrowing | :16:32. | :16:36.
powers is damaging the Welsh economy. Organisations in favour of | :16:36. | :16:45.
resolving the issue is left in a predicament. We want to be able to | :16:45. | :16:51.
fund the kind of projects going forward. Exactly what the Welsh | :16:51. | :17:00.
government wants. However, one of Wales's top corporate deal-makers | :17:00. | :17:03.
questioned the Welsh government's ability to manage big funding | :17:03. | :17:09.
decisions. I am not convinced. We have seen recent situations where | :17:10. | :17:12.
substantial government funds have been spending on infrastructure | :17:12. | :17:18.
projects which begs the question of how they were appraised and whether | :17:19. | :17:24.
they were sufficiently analysed. The airport springs to mind. The gap | :17:25. | :17:34.
between the governments sat on either side of the M4 seems to be | :17:34. | :17:36.
increasing. Prince William has done his last | :17:36. | :17:39.
shift at RAF Valley on Anglesey, bringing to an end his time there as | :17:39. | :17:43.
a search and rescue helicopter pilot. With his wife Catherine | :17:43. | :17:46.
Duchess of Cambridge and their son Prince George, he's now due to leave | :17:46. | :17:49.
the island, which has been his home for the last three and a half years. | :17:49. | :17:54.
The Prince has already said how much he'll miss the place, as Roger | :17:54. | :17:56.
Pinney reports. It was good while it lasted. Good | :17:56. | :18:00.
according to be pundits for William and Catherine. And good according to | :18:00. | :18:05.
many for Anglesey as well. They clocked up a string of Royal first. | :18:05. | :18:09.
It was here that William and Catherine first appeared in public | :18:09. | :18:13.
as an engaged couple. In August, William could not have appeared more | :18:13. | :18:17.
relaxed as he mixed with the crowds. It was here he gave his farewell | :18:17. | :18:22.
speech to the island and its people. You got a sense of the affection the | :18:22. | :18:30.
couple feel for the place. I know that both of us will miss it | :18:30. | :18:34.
terribly when my search and rescue two of duty comes to an end next | :18:34. | :18:37.
month and we have to move neck -- elsewhere. But away from the public | :18:37. | :18:43.
gaze, the couple have been able to enjoy a pretty normal life on | :18:43. | :18:51.
Anglesey. Walking their dogs, using Rockall restaurants, and local | :18:51. | :18:57.
supermarkets. But has there been a William and Kate affect here? At | :18:57. | :19:01.
this company, they believe the couple has been good for business | :19:01. | :19:05.
and tourism. They say it got the island noticed. My favourite story | :19:05. | :19:11.
was that they had gone into a restaurant without booking a table | :19:11. | :19:14.
and they were told there were no tables free. Could they come back | :19:14. | :19:18.
later? Maybe they were not recognised. They have not had a lot | :19:18. | :19:24.
of pompons and stands about them so they have blended in. And this was | :19:24. | :19:30.
the reaction to today's news. The whole of North Wales is very proud | :19:30. | :19:34.
of both of them. We wish them the best for the future. They have | :19:34. | :19:41.
brought a focus to Anglesey. Perhaps they have never thought of Anglesey | :19:41. | :19:47.
before. So they will be missed? Definitely, yes. For Prince William, | :19:47. | :19:57.
it has all been about the job. He clocked up a string of rescues. And | :19:57. | :20:05.
at sea, casualties. He has now left that job, but in the past hinted he | :20:05. | :20:09.
would not want to say goodbye to Anglesey for good. We would not rule | :20:09. | :20:15.
out having a house in Anglesey permanently. I do love it here. We | :20:15. | :20:19.
will have to wait and see what our plans. So it is good by William and | :20:19. | :20:25.
Catherine. But is it just for now? We saw a few minutes of Gareth Bale | :20:25. | :20:29.
on the pitch at last, but after another disappointing defeat for | :20:29. | :20:32.
Wales, it was the manager who ended up as the main talking point. | :20:32. | :20:35.
Ashleigh's here with tonight's sport. | :20:35. | :20:39.
The future of Chris Coleman was the subject that had everyone talking | :20:39. | :20:42.
after another poor showing from the national team last night. The 3-0 | :20:42. | :20:45.
defeat against Serbia leaves Wales bottom of their World Cup qualifying | :20:45. | :20:48.
group and Coleman under real pressure as he prepares to sign a | :20:48. | :20:53.
new contract as manager. Sachin Krishnan reports. | :20:53. | :21:05.
It is another defeat for Wales. The fans left no doubt as to what | :21:05. | :21:09.
they made of it. Wales were thoroughly outclassed by Serbia. A | :21:09. | :21:14.
second defeat in a week left the manager with no excuses. It is | :21:14. | :21:20.
expensive to come and watch a game of football and I don't blame them | :21:20. | :21:25.
for being disappointed. I don't blame them if sections are calling | :21:25. | :21:30.
for my head. They come, they are expected, they want to see a | :21:30. | :21:35.
performance at the very least. If we lose and we have performed, they are | :21:35. | :21:39.
not going to have that reaction. They were disappointed with the | :21:39. | :21:42.
performance and we are. So what of Chris Coleman's future in the job? | :21:42. | :21:46.
Despite just three wins in 12 matches, he says a new contract is | :21:46. | :21:49.
ready for him to sign. FAW President Trefor Lloyd Hughes told BBC Wales | :21:49. | :21:59.
that nothing has been decided. Are you happy he's your man? Personally, | :21:59. | :22:08.
yes. Give him the opportunity. Have we got the finances to get somebody | :22:08. | :22:18.
who wants a lot of money? He has not got a lot of quality in the side. It | :22:18. | :22:23.
is difficult. We know that from previous managers. They have not | :22:23. | :22:27.
been able to go forward. Hopefully Chris can do that. It is a big job. | :22:27. | :22:32.
It comes with an immense amount of pressure. One bright spot last night | :22:32. | :22:37.
was the first football played by Gareth Bale since his record move to | :22:37. | :22:41.
Real Madrid. In a cameo appearance, his huge talent was on show for all | :22:41. | :22:46.
to see. While Bale is clearly committed to Wales, one man whose | :22:46. | :22:49.
international future is in doubt is James Collins. Chris Coleman said he | :22:49. | :22:54.
was disappointed that the West Ham defender refused a call-up to the | :22:54. | :22:57.
squad for last night's match after originally being left out. | :22:57. | :23:01.
Rugby bosses from around Europe say they'll keep on talking to try and | :23:01. | :23:04.
save what's arguably the world's most prestigious club tournament, | :23:04. | :23:09.
the Heineken Cup. They met in Dublin earlier today after England and | :23:09. | :23:11.
France's top sides announced they'd withdraw from the tournament next | :23:11. | :23:14.
season and set up their own competition. They're unhappy with | :23:14. | :23:18.
how the money is shared around and think it's too easy for Welsh, | :23:18. | :23:21.
Irish, Scottish and Italian clubs to qualify. | :23:21. | :23:29.
Saving the Heineken Cup, the most important item on the agenda for top | :23:29. | :23:34.
rugby officials in Dublin today. The English and French clubs want out | :23:34. | :23:37.
because they say the current structure is unfair, favouring teams | :23:37. | :23:41.
in the pro 12, which includes the four Welsh regions and sites from | :23:41. | :23:46.
Ireland, Scotland and Italy. At the moment, all the teams from Scotland | :23:46. | :23:50.
and Italy are guaranteed places in the tournament regardless of where | :23:50. | :23:55.
they finish in the league. Wales and Ireland get three places each even | :23:55. | :24:08.
if their teams are in the bottom half of the table. But English and | :24:08. | :24:09.
French clubs have got a battle for half of the table. But English and | :24:09. | :24:12.
qualification by finishing in the top positions in the domestic | :24:12. | :24:14.
leagues. They say the Celtic countries and Italy should do the | :24:14. | :24:16.
same. We are prepared to look at meritocratic qualification, we are | :24:16. | :24:19.
prepared to look at how revenues are distributed. We are prepared to look | :24:19. | :24:21.
at the timing of the competition. These are the things we need to | :24:21. | :24:27.
discuss. May I add, to % of the revenues already go to the French | :24:27. | :24:32.
and English clubs. It would be a major blow for Welsh regions if they | :24:32. | :24:36.
stop playing England and French clubs. They are the most lucrative | :24:36. | :24:41.
and exciting games of the season. I can't believe it will come to that | :24:41. | :24:45.
because common sense will could prevail. But the French statement | :24:45. | :24:48.
yesterday said they stand full square behind England on this. They | :24:49. | :24:53.
will not take part in any European opposition that is not involve the | :24:53. | :24:55.
English. I think that is a real jolt opposition that is not involve the | :24:55. | :25:00.
to the Welsh Rugby Union, the Irish Rugby union and the Scottish Rugby | :25:00. | :25:07.
union. Tonight, a board said they were going to do talking until they | :25:07. | :25:10.
find a solution but it is anyone's guest whether they will be a | :25:10. | :25:13.
European Rugby Cop division next season. | :25:13. | :25:17.
Let's get the weather forecast now. Here's Derek. | :25:17. | :25:20.
All change today with some rain. Feeling quite cool as well. There is | :25:20. | :25:29.
more rain and drizzle on the way but I can promise some dry weather as | :25:29. | :25:34.
well. This evening, rain will clear southwards, so drier overnight. Just | :25:34. | :25:39.
the odd spot of drizzle and, if you're travelling, watch out for | :25:39. | :25:43.
mist and fog patches. Milder than last night. Lowest temperatures | :25:43. | :25:49.
around ten to 14 Celsius. 15 in Pembrokeshire. Here's the picture | :25:49. | :25:56.
for eight in the morning. A grey, cloudy but dry start for most of the | :25:56. | :26:02.
country. Misty in places too with fog patches. Brighter in parts of | :26:02. | :26:11.
the east. Thicker cloud in the west with spots of drizzle. Most places | :26:11. | :26:17.
dry for a while tomorrow. You may even see a glimpse of sunshine but | :26:17. | :26:20.
more rain and drizzle will spread from the west during the afternoon. | :26:20. | :26:23.
In Monmouthshire tomorrow, a dry morning. Misty in places. In | :26:23. | :26:29.
Ceredigion, cloudy tomorrow. Dry for a time in the morning but wetter in | :26:29. | :26:32.
the afternoon. The temperature in Lampeter rising to 17 Celsius. | :26:32. | :26:35.
Tomorrow night will be cloudy with further rain and drizzle at times. | :26:35. | :26:38.
Mist and hill fog. Although it should become dry in the north after | :26:38. | :26:42.
midnight. Friday doesn't look as wet as it did yesterday. Having said | :26:42. | :26:46.
that, there is a risk of rain in the south at least for a time. On | :26:46. | :26:49.
Saturday, some uncertainty but at the moment it looks like we're in | :26:49. | :26:53.
for more rain. The rain should clear during the afternoon but may stay | :26:53. | :26:56.
damp until tea-time. Dry and chilly Saturday night. Sunday will start | :26:56. | :27:00.
dry but then go downhill with rain. Becoming windy as well. The start of | :27:00. | :27:03.
next week, colder and windy with sunshine and blustery showers. We've | :27:03. | :27:06.
had some lovely sunsets and sunrises recently. How about this one from | :27:06. | :27:10.
Clive Stanley-Williams in Aberdare. Red sky in the morning, shepherds' | :27:10. | :27:13.
warning. Drier for a time tomorrow but there is more rain and drizzle | :27:13. | :27:15.
on the way. 5500 women will receive letters | :27:15. | :27:25.
offering them a blood test after a health worker infected to people | :27:25. | :27:31.
with Hepatitis C. The majority were treated at Caerphilly District | :27:31. | :27:33.
Miners' Hospital between 1984 and 2003. | :27:33. | :27:40.
That is Wales today. We will have another update at 8pm. Good evening. | :27:40. | :27:42. |
