Good afternoon. Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood's stinging attack on

UKIP has been criticised by one of the party's former leaders. Dafydd

Elis-Thomas said it was simplistic to describe a vote for UKIP as a

vote against Wales. Here's our political reporter James Williams.

The latest start on its latest journey. They are calling for more

demolition. Plaid Cymru as using its conference to rally its troops. It

is about getting the party back on track as a latest opinion poll said

that Plaid Cymru could lose its European seats. Plaid Cymru is the

only party that protects the Welsh national interest and from what sit

in the European Parliament. In a bed to keep her seat, leader Leanne Wood

went on the attack yesterday. There were two targets, the Welsh

Government and UKIP. She said a vote for UKIP was a vote against Wales.

If you keep making negative remarks to the electorate, the electorate

will see you being negative. In my view, always put forward a positive

programme. People living in a coastal community

in Gwynedd are considering legal action against plans that would see

their village abandoned to the sea. Fairbourne is one of several places

around Wales facing plans to stop maintaining its sea defences in the

next 50 years. Gwynedd Council says it has been open with residents but

they say they haven't been properly consulted. You have saved all your

life for a house to leave it to your children and it is worth nothing

now. I am just the devastated, we can't believe what is happening. I

have been here nearly 50 years. One bad storm.

One of the most decorated Welsh soldiers of the First World War has

been recognised with a plaque at the former Ebbw Vale steelworks site

where he worked. John Henry Williams received the Victoria Cross during

his time in the army. The plaque here today honouring my grandfather

is a such a wonderful thing to see further family. I did actually see

this Way back in 1950s. This year it reinstated now and to see how people

in the area value what he did at the time.

Onto football and Cardiff City captain Steven Caulker gave his side

a half-time lead in their Premier League relegation battle at home

against Fulham. With around ten minutes to go, the latest is Cardiff

three Fulham one. Elsewhere, it's Mansfield one Newport County one and
