Good evening. The Welsh-language broadcaster S4C is to move its

headquarters from Cardiff to Carmarthen. They say it will spread

economic, cultural and linguistic benefits to more communities. The

channel hopes to be in new premises by 2018. More from our Welsh Affairs

Editor Vaughan Roderick. Cardiff has been S4C's bays since

the channel began broadcasting in 1980. The nation's capital was the

right home for a national service, it was argued, and partly because of

S4C's presence, Cardiff has had a burgeoning broadcasting sector. The

challenge for the authority has been to decide which of the two proposals

was the most beneficial for the future of the service. More than

three decades on, with its budget cut and its audiences in decline,

channel bosses have decided it is time to move on. Carmarthen's

presentation and business plan was extremely exciting, it was

visionary. It is a vision I hope will provide a springboard for

linguistic, economic and a cultural renewal in Carmarthenshire. From

2018, this will be S4C's new home. A brand-new building built in

partnership with Trinity St David's University. The university hopes it

will mean around 150 new jobs for Carmarthenshire. I have no doubt

this historic decision will have a major influence not only in

clustering in the industry but for developing new initiatives that will

have economic impacts, it linguistic impact and a cultural impact for

Wales. But Carmarthen's win his can of an's lost. S4C plans to maintain

a presence there as well as in Cardiff but it is hoped the new

headquarters will help the channel reconnect to its audience.

Meanwhile, the ITV Wales studios at Culverhouse Cross near Cardiff are

to be demolished to make way for more than 240 homes. Plans to

redevelop the site have been approved by Vale of Glamorgan

councillors. ITV wants to relocate 100 staff to Cardiff Bay by June.

Two leisure centres in Denbighshire will remain closed after the council

said it couldn't afford to run them. The Sun Centre in Rhyl and the Nova

Centre in Prestatyn shut earlier this year, when Clwyd Leisure, the

trust running them, saw its funding from the council cut.

Farmers in Wales say they are worried that supermarket promotions

on milk will soon leave them out of pocket. Retailers have been slashing

the price of milk in a battle for customers but they insist the price

at the farm gate won't go down. Abigail Neal has more.

Dairy cows for more than a quarter of farm output in Wales. Farmers are

worried their product is being devalued. We are getting very

concerned about the tactics they are using. They are using milk to drive

the price of it down just to get people into the supermarket so they

can spend money elsewhere. Unfortunately for farmers, milk is

one of those products we as shoppers tend to take note of. Because we use

it every week, we noticed a drop in the price and we shot in the stores

that offer the greatest discount. This latest cut in the price of milk

is not because of a change in the cost of production or because of

supply and demand, it is a retail war, you are and simple. It is a

good thing. I drink a lot of milk. It is ridiculously cheap. I would

built -- pay more for milk if it was OK for Wales. It was Tesco's

decision to match the ?1 price last week that triggered a supermarket

price war. Within days, Sainsbury's and Waitrose followed suit. And then

Morrison is that the auntie by cutting their brand milk to 60 --

96p. Retailers say they will take less of a profit and milk producers

will not be a fair bit -- affected. The processing factory will get 9p,

the farm at 73p with the smaller margin going to the supermarkets,

but some doubt they will stick to this. Retailers are not famed for

their desire to give the margin voluntarily. Usually one would

assume that if this goes on to much longer, the retailers will be

looking for someone else to share the pain. With only two other people

in the chain, the processes and the farmers. Farmers are quick to vent

their frustration. After widespread demonstrations in 2012, the milk

price has been rising. If this latest move means it starts to fall

again, supermarkets know they could be in for more protests.

Welsh businesses are being given a helping hand to export to China

after a new organisation was set up to promote links between the two

countries. The China-Britain Business Council will work with the

South Wales Chamber of Commerce in Newport to tap into the potentially

huge market. Last year, Welsh exports to China were worth close to

?300 million. Every company needs to understand

what is happening in China, even if you are not going to export there.

It is the second largest economy in the world. It will soon be the

first, so companies need to understand what is happening. The

focus of Welsh businesses has largely been Europe, it expanded to

the United States and latterly to the Middle East. South-east Asia and

China is the next big opportunity. Rugby, and on the eve of the senior

teams' meeting at the Millennium Stadium, Wales' Under 20s have ended

their Six Nations campaign with a big win over Scotland. In Colwyn Bay

tonight, Wales won 43-15. They've finished the championship with three

wins and two defeats. There was also one result in the Pro

12 tonight. The Scarlets were in Belfast to face Ulster but they lost

by 26-13. Scrum-half Gareth Davies scored the Scarlets' only try in the

first half. Some cycling news, and Geraint

Thomas has lost the lead in the Paris-Nice road race. He finished

fourth in today's stage and is now eight seconds behind the leader. The

race finishes on Sunday. It was a big day for the singer

Katherine Jenkins, who collected her OBE from Prince Charles at

Buckingham Palace. The 33-year-old soprano from Neath was given the

honour for services to music and her charity work.

It looks like being a dry weekend for many of us. Derek, is here with

the full forecast. Plenty of dry weather to come this

weekend. It has been a trying week thanks to high pressure, some

sunshine and fog. Not expecting too much in the way of this weekend

because we are in for more of a breeze, but plenty of Welsh --

weather. It is looking drive for the rest of the night. Most of the fog

confined to the higher ground and mountings. We should escape a frost

tonight. Temperatures staying well above freezing, no long -- lower

than five Celsius. High pressure is centred over the Atlantic tomorrow.

More isobars, you will notice, across the UK, which does mean

slightly stronger winds. It should be a dry morning for us in Wales.

There will be some low cloud and missed first thing but that cloud

will start to break. Some sunshine in Pembrokeshire. Across the rest of

the UK, it is going to be a breezy day. Strong winds for Scotland and

North East England. Most of the rain in the north and west of Scotland.

Otherwise dry with a mixture of cloud and sunshine. A top

temperature in London of 16 Celsius. That will feel pleasantly warm. It

should be a nice afternoon close to home. Some good spells of sunshine.

A little bit more in the way of cloud for Snowdonia. It is looking

like being a livery after noon in Cardiff tomorrow for the rugby. Lots

of rugby -- sunshine. Tomorrow evening generally dry and clear and

then overnight cloud will start to increase. A few spots of drizzle in

the north and north-west. Sunday, plenty of cloud. Otherwise dry and

sunshine in Monmouthshire. More dry weather for the start of next week

but eventually we will see some rain and stronger winds by the end of the
