That's all from the BBC News at Six, so it's goodbye from me | :00:00. | :00:00.
Welcome to Wales Today. Our top stories: Health bodies could be put | :00:00. | :00:12.
in special measures. New plans to tackle serious failings | :00:13. | :00:27.
in the NHS. This is an opportunity to detect any serious concerns and | :00:28. | :00:31.
take decisive action. North Wales Police under | :00:32. | :00:33.
investigation after a 15-year-old boy is strip searched by officers. | :00:34. | :00:37.
His father speaks out about his son's treatment. | :00:38. | :00:42.
He'll be able to take all of his pension pots in cash when he | :00:43. | :00:45.
retires, so how will the Chancellor's radical changes affect | :00:46. | :00:49.
people here? And girls are behind the boys when | :00:50. | :00:53.
it comes to taking part in sport. Former Olympic champion Nicole Cooke | :00:54. | :00:56.
calls on the BBC to give women's sport a higher profile. | :00:57. | :01:18.
One of the most high profile critics of the Health Service here has been | :01:19. | :01:24.
the Labour MP, Ann Clwyd. Tonight she's hit back at the First | :01:25. | :01:27.
Minister, saying Carwyn Jones was wrong to say she had produced no | :01:28. | :01:30.
evidence to justify her complaints about the way patients are treated. | :01:31. | :01:34.
The Cynon Valley MP has been talking to our parliamentary correspondent, | :01:35. | :01:43.
David Cornock, who's at Westminster. Over the last year, and include says | :01:44. | :01:49.
she has received hundreds of complaints and happy with the way | :01:50. | :01:53.
they were cave for by the NHS in Wales. She says she has taken blows | :01:54. | :01:58.
to the first Minister and the Welsh Government but earlier this week we | :01:59. | :02:02.
heard from Carwyn Jones who said she had no evidence to back up those | :02:03. | :02:09.
complaints. She is currently in Switzerland at an international | :02:10. | :02:13.
conference but I tracked down today by telephone and she is clearly | :02:14. | :02:17.
angry with what the first minister has said. I wrote a very | :02:18. | :02:27.
comprehensive letter to Carwyn Jones on December three after I had a | :02:28. | :02:32.
meeting with him a few days previously. He was well aware of the | :02:33. | :02:38.
issues I raised. I have done it in Parliament, through letters, in | :02:39. | :02:46.
press statements. Nobody can say I have not provided the information. I | :02:47. | :02:52.
have, over and over again. She is also calling for heads to roll out | :02:53. | :02:59.
one health board. Yes. The husband died around 18 months ago at the | :03:00. | :03:02.
University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and she said at the time he | :03:03. | :03:07.
was treated like a battery hen and kept on a hospital trolley for 27 | :03:08. | :03:12.
hours. An investigation was launched into the care he received and she | :03:13. | :03:16.
discovered this week that some of the information about that | :03:17. | :03:19.
investigation has now been released by the local health board in | :03:20. | :03:25.
response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act. She is | :03:26. | :03:29.
very angry about that and says this has breached her confidentiality and | :03:30. | :03:34.
gone against her specific wishes. We have spoken to the health board and | :03:35. | :03:41.
they have said the information that has been released are statements | :03:42. | :03:50.
that are already in the public domain. In a statement the health | :03:51. | :03:53.
board said it has not released the report in full and it is not its | :03:54. | :03:59.
intention to release the report in full or to breach confidentiality. | :04:00. | :04:18.
A mother of a teenager who took his own life says the system failed her | :04:19. | :04:22.
son. Now, a new report says the number of young people who kill | :04:23. | :04:25.
themselves could be lowered by the introduction of minimum pricing for | :04:26. | :04:29.
alcohol and raising of the school leaving age. Paul Heaney has been | :04:30. | :04:32.
speaking to one mother, who lost her son three years ago. It is a knife | :04:33. | :04:36.
that has interested. I will never see him fulfil any of the dreams he | :04:37. | :04:42.
had. I was let down by the system. Regional -- Rachel Williams' centre | :04:43. | :04:48.
is like three years ago. He was 16 years old when he died. His father | :04:49. | :04:52.
had killed himself just weeks earlier. His mum said he had | :04:53. | :04:57.
everything to live for and if he had received more help things might have | :04:58. | :05:00.
been different. There wasn't enough done. There wasn't enough input. The | :05:01. | :05:10.
help wasn't there. The authorities involved in this case say things | :05:11. | :05:14.
have changed and lessons have been learned since his death. Public | :05:15. | :05:17.
Health Wales studied the deaths of 34 young people aged between ten and | :05:18. | :05:25.
17 who died by suicide in Wales. Most were boys. Its recommendations | :05:26. | :05:30.
involve restrict ding access to alcohol, a child protection register | :05:31. | :05:38.
that covers the whole of Wales and providing more support for children. | :05:39. | :05:41.
It says social media can also have a role in suicide. So if those | :05:42. | :05:49.
recommendations are followed what would be the benefits for young | :05:50. | :05:54.
people? People they come into contact with feel able to respond to | :05:55. | :06:01.
them appropriately. Send them to wherever or whatever help is | :06:02. | :06:06.
appropriate. You have seen the report today. What do you make of | :06:07. | :06:11.
the recommendations? I am welcoming it but it should be in place anyway. | :06:12. | :06:17.
Why has it taken all these suicides to happen and all these years? This | :06:18. | :06:25.
man's son killed himself 26 -- at 26 years old and he now works for the | :06:26. | :06:28.
charity which tries to prevent suicide. We want to raise the | :06:29. | :06:33.
profile of young suicides. Most people don't realise how many people | :06:34. | :06:39.
take their lives each year. It is a staggering number. If they I young | :06:40. | :06:45.
people listening, talk about it. Talk to your parents or your doctor | :06:46. | :06:50.
or somebody and child get help. The Welsh Government says it welcomes | :06:51. | :06:53.
today's report and will respond as soon as possible. | :06:54. | :07:03.
A teacher jailed after turning his home into a cocaine laboratory has | :07:04. | :07:07.
been given a lifetime ban by a disciplinary panel. 49-year-old | :07:08. | :07:10.
Macphallen Kuwale from Cardiff was jailed for three years last year | :07:11. | :07:12.
after being caught with around ?8,000 of the Class A drug. He | :07:13. | :07:16.
worked at Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen in Bridgend while running the drugs | :07:17. | :07:25.
operation. A 58-year-old woman has been | :07:26. | :07:28.
arrested and bailed over the alleged concealment of a birth almost 40 | :07:29. | :07:31.
years ago. Police have been at a house in Pontardawe in the Swansea | :07:32. | :07:34.
Valley, but their investigation does not involve the current occupants. | :07:35. | :07:43.
A former North Wales Police officer has been jailed for 18 months after | :07:44. | :07:47.
being found guilty of two counts of indecent assault on a 14-year-old | :07:48. | :07:51.
girl in 2002. PC Gary Donnelly, who joined the force in 2003, denied the | :07:52. | :07:55.
offences during a retrial after a previous jury failed to reach a | :07:56. | :07:58.
verdict. Donnelly will register as a sex offender for ten years. | :07:59. | :08:21.
The Police watchdog is investigating after a 15-year-old boy was strip | :08:22. | :08:25.
searched by North Wales Police. The boy was detained in Llandudno 18 | :08:26. | :08:28.
months ago. Matthew Richards is at Llandudno Police Station for us this | :08:29. | :08:32.
evening. What more can you tell us? The boy was in a gang of boys that | :08:33. | :08:38.
were stopped by the police. The 15-year-old was subjected to a strip | :08:39. | :08:44.
search. His father is concerned that some essential procedures were not | :08:45. | :08:47.
followed and he has complained to the IPCC. We spoke to him earlier | :08:48. | :08:58.
and we have conceal his identity. I am really annoyed about this. If a | :08:59. | :09:04.
member of the public had taken a 15-year-old child off the streets, | :09:05. | :09:09.
and took them to a secluded space and stripped them of, I am sure head | :09:10. | :09:14.
will -- heads would roll. I don't think the police have been given a | :09:15. | :09:23.
slap on the wrist. What has the police watchdog said about this? | :09:24. | :09:37.
Their main concern here is that an appropriate adult may not have been | :09:38. | :09:38.
present. An independent third person. They say that investigation | :09:39. | :09:43.
could take several months and they want to find out whether certain | :09:44. | :09:48.
elements of procedure were followed. The North Wales Police | :09:49. | :10:04.
have said they will cooperate with the IPCC during the investigation. | :10:05. | :10:04.
The father we spoke to today says he was set -- he wants to see some | :10:05. | :10:17.
consequences. Business rates are likely to be | :10:18. | :10:17.
devolved by the start of next year with stamp duty and landfill tax to | :10:18. | :10:20.
follow in 2018. The UK Government has published the Wales Bill to | :10:21. | :10:23.
devolve financial powers to the National Assembly, including income | :10:24. | :10:36.
tax powers subject to a referendum. Brecon High School has been put in | :10:37. | :10:39.
special measures after a poor inspection. Powys Council says a | :10:40. | :10:42.
report by the schools' inspectorate, Estyn, was "very disappointing". An | :10:43. | :10:45.
action plan has been drawn-up to address the problems. | :10:46. | :10:55.
Health boards and services across Wales could be put into special | :10:56. | :10:58.
measures under new plans to tackle serious NHS failings. The changes, | :10:59. | :11:01.
announced today, follow a damning report which blamed mismanagement of | :11:02. | :11:04.
the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board in North Wales for a catalogue of | :11:05. | :11:08.
errors. The new regime will focus on early detection of problems and | :11:09. | :11:10.
effective intervention to prevent them going any further. James | :11:11. | :11:12.
Williams reports. Betsy Cadwallader was a health board | :11:13. | :11:16.
under pressure. Financial problems and failure to plan the changes and | :11:17. | :11:21.
another rig of the superbug seed of the seal. Complications relating to | :11:22. | :11:26.
the bug cost this woman's husband her life -- his life. His widow says | :11:27. | :11:35.
the number of cases of seed of the seal across North Wales should have | :11:36. | :11:39.
raised alarm bells. I don't understand what has happened. It is | :11:40. | :11:47.
not just myself. Six cases were reported. Systems were in place but | :11:48. | :11:53.
Brian fell through the cracks. New guidelines published today against a | :11:54. | :11:57.
fill them. One of the health bodies under scrutiny is the health | :11:58. | :12:04.
watchdog, healthcare Inspectorate Wales. Today's guidelines are all | :12:05. | :12:19.
about telling the government what rules they should play in | :12:20. | :12:22.
identifying and tackling problems in the NHS. It is an opportunity to | :12:23. | :12:26.
strengthen the system and this particular arrangement the minister | :12:27. | :12:32.
requested, the Welsh Government has worked closely with health | :12:33. | :12:37.
Inspectorate Wales to look at how they can work together in | :12:38. | :12:41.
partnership when situations develop where it is necessary to share | :12:42. | :12:48.
information. There are three levels of intervention the bodies can use | :12:49. | :12:53.
to nip potential problems in the bud. Enhanced monitoring, giving | :12:54. | :12:57.
them a watching brief over any problems. Targeted in -- targeted | :12:58. | :13:03.
intervention and in exceptional circumstances special measures. That | :13:04. | :13:07.
is sending in a team to run a particular health service. The first | :13:08. | :13:12.
time this power has been introduced in the Welsh NHS. It has also been | :13:13. | :13:17.
generally welcomed by doctors leaders but the BMA says the NHS | :13:18. | :13:21.
needs to avoid serious problems in the first place. We have seen | :13:22. | :13:29.
mortality rates -- rates higher than they should be. We have seen | :13:30. | :13:35.
worrying aspects of NHS performance as a result of the crippling NHS | :13:36. | :13:38.
cuts which are being imposed either Welsh Labour government. We have to | :13:39. | :13:44.
get to grips with those issues. It is whether these guidelines can stop | :13:45. | :13:48.
these types of issues turning into big problem that will concern | :13:49. | :13:56.
patients. You're watching Wales Today. Still | :13:57. | :14:00.
to come: Could watching more female athletes on television help inspire | :14:01. | :14:03.
girls to stick with sport? Former Olympic Champion Nicole Cooke calls | :14:04. | :14:10.
on the BBC to take action. Sweeping changes announced to the | :14:11. | :14:13.
rules on pensions mean that many will be able to take their pensions | :14:14. | :14:19.
in cash when they retire. But one leading financial advisor has told | :14:20. | :14:22.
us he's been inundated with calls from clients wanting to access their | :14:23. | :14:26.
pension pots and is urging people to be cautious and think about the | :14:27. | :14:33.
future. Here's Roger Pinney. This is the Co-operative in | :14:34. | :14:38.
Llandudno Junction. A social enterprise finds new uses the goods | :14:39. | :14:41.
which would otherwise go to landfill. The 40 members of staff | :14:42. | :14:54.
span the age range. Even though two of the workers will be affected by | :14:55. | :14:58.
the changes they have been left confused by them. Until now, many | :14:59. | :15:02.
about to retire have been obliged to put a large part of their pension | :15:03. | :15:07.
pot into an income fund but the returns can be poor. The changes | :15:08. | :15:12.
announced yesterday mean they could take their money out and invested or | :15:13. | :15:16.
spend it as they choose although they would still have to pay income | :15:17. | :15:20.
tax on it. I think it is a very good idea. I don't think you should be | :15:21. | :15:24.
told what to do with their own money. The annuities were not | :15:25. | :15:30.
terribly good. You could invest money far more wisely with a much | :15:31. | :15:38.
better return. Will it affects the like you? Definitely. It gives us | :15:39. | :15:46.
freedom to explore different options and having -- not having to be | :15:47. | :15:50.
committed to an annuity will help things massively. They operate a | :15:51. | :15:58.
pension scheme here that in the future staff will automatically be | :15:59. | :16:00.
enrolled unless they choose to about. -- to opt-out. Most of us | :16:01. | :16:09.
don't even think about how our patient -- pensions will work until | :16:10. | :16:17.
we get close to retirement age. Financial advisers say they are | :16:18. | :16:21.
already getting calls about the changes and many investors want | :16:22. | :16:24.
their money out that there are concerns. This could be good for a | :16:25. | :16:32.
number of individuals but some caution has to be taken because you | :16:33. | :16:37.
may have clients who see it as an opportunity to access small pension | :16:38. | :16:44.
pots of 20,000 or 30,000 to go on holiday and it is no provision for | :16:45. | :16:48.
the rest of their lives. Many of us won't have a pension pot with enough | :16:49. | :16:53.
to be affected by many of these changes. The UK government says it | :16:54. | :16:56.
wants to put this in charge of our own money. They also hope we will be | :16:57. | :17:00.
encouraged to save a bit more as well. | :17:01. | :17:04.
And if you want to find out how the Budget affects the money in your | :17:05. | :17:07.
pocket, click on our Budget Calculator, at bbc.co.uk/news. | :17:08. | :17:34.
BBC Wales has learned millions of pounds of Lottery money will be | :17:35. | :17:38.
released next month aimed at getting more girls to take up sport. At the | :17:39. | :17:42.
moment, only around a third of girls take part regularly, unlike half of | :17:43. | :17:45.
boys. Claire's with some gymnasts for us tonight. | :17:46. | :17:47.
Good evening. A real mix of ages here tonight. The under 6's and some | :17:48. | :17:51.
of our Commonwealth hopefuls. These girls train six nights a week. | :17:52. | :17:54.
Gymnastics as a female sport has seen a rise in uptake but it's in | :17:55. | :17:58.
the minority. The problem is, while these girls are passionate about | :17:59. | :18:01.
their sport, many girls simply give up it up when they start secondary | :18:02. | :18:04.
school. Former Olympic cycling champion, Nicole Cooke, thinks that | :18:05. | :18:07.
could change if female athletes had a higher profile. She's called on | :18:08. | :18:10.
the BBC to give women's sport the same amount of coverage on TV as | :18:11. | :18:13.
men's. Our sports news correspondent, Gareth Lewis, has | :18:14. | :18:20.
been looking into her argument. Nicole Cooke is a rear breed, one of | :18:21. | :18:23.
only three Welsh women to win and Linda gold-medal and her passion for | :18:24. | :18:27.
sport still runs deeper year after retirement. These days she has | :18:28. | :18:31.
swapped the bike for books and a business degree at Cardiff | :18:32. | :18:45.
University. You could do the same for TV time. The BBC is paid for by | :18:46. | :18:56.
the public so maybe the equality could be brought in. The BBC said | :18:57. | :19:01.
around 1000 hours of women's sport is broadcast every year on TV and | :19:02. | :19:07.
around 20% of its coverage. In her old school in Bridgend, change is | :19:08. | :19:18.
already under way. The senior girls at the school have been put in | :19:19. | :19:21.
charge of what they do in physical education. The school successfully | :19:22. | :19:30.
applied the ?30,000 worth of grants to refurbish the gym and changing | :19:31. | :19:33.
rooms but it's about more than just money. It is about innovation and | :19:34. | :19:37.
thinking differently and trying things that made us feel | :19:38. | :19:44.
uncomfortable before. The old image behind school PE is starting to | :19:45. | :19:51.
change. What are the main reasons that people lose interest? Low | :19:52. | :19:57.
self-esteem and confidence. The PE kit is an issue with girls as well. | :19:58. | :20:04.
Trousers are the main thing because when you are made to wear shorts, | :20:05. | :20:12.
some people don't suit so -- shorts. Will any of this work? TV coverage | :20:13. | :20:18.
might be a slow burner but in this school they are hoping for positive | :20:19. | :20:32.
results in two years time. Wrexham have a new manager in | :20:33. | :20:35.
charge. Kevin Wilkin succeeds Andy Morrell, who left the club a month | :20:36. | :20:39.
ago. The 46-year-old enjoyed three promotions in four years with | :20:40. | :20:41.
Nunneaton Town and leaves them fourth in the Conference. He's | :20:42. | :20:44.
signed a two year contract at the Racecourse and can't wait for his | :20:45. | :20:48.
first game in charge, at home to Salisbury on Saturday. A fantastic | :20:49. | :20:50.
club. Great history and a great opportunity for me to get it back in | :20:51. | :20:57.
the foot will lead. I have got my ideas about what I want to put into | :20:58. | :21:02.
the club. The club has been through some dark times but I hope to | :21:03. | :21:13.
achieve promotion. With the Commonwealth Games just | :21:14. | :21:16.
four months away, Wales have today named a seven-member squash squad to | :21:17. | :21:19.
compete in Glasgow. Ten-time Welsh champion Dave Evans will compete in | :21:20. | :21:22.
his third games, alongside current Welsh number one Peter Creed. Wales | :21:23. | :21:26.
have two women ranked in the world top 50 for the first time. With | :21:27. | :21:29.
preparations going well, their coach is confident of medal success. We | :21:30. | :21:42.
are going to win medals. The team are there to win medals. We are | :21:43. | :21:48.
there to compete and win medals. We did not go to the Commonwealth games | :21:49. | :21:52.
last time and this time we're ready. The are prepared. They have played | :21:53. | :21:59.
on the courts in Glasgow already. We look forward to the challenge. | :22:00. | :22:04.
The Assembly's Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee has | :22:05. | :22:07.
decided against ordering an inquiry into Welsh rugby's finances. The | :22:08. | :22:13.
Welsh rugby regions had called for an independent public inquiry into | :22:14. | :22:16.
how broadcasting and competition revenue is negotiated and | :22:17. | :22:29.
distributed. I am tired just watching these | :22:30. | :22:43.
girls. Back to you in the studio. Anyone who's seen the recent science | :22:44. | :22:46.
fiction film "Gravity" will appreciate just how sophisticated | :22:47. | :22:49.
special effects in movies have become. Each year, the visual | :22:50. | :22:51.
effects industry brings in around ?200 million to the UK economy, but | :22:52. | :22:55.
most of that work goes to companies based in London. So how can Wales | :22:56. | :22:58.
cash-in and develop a home-grown industry to compete on a global | :22:59. | :23:02.
scale? Carwyn Jones has been finding out. | :23:03. | :23:04.
A low budget film with big ambitions. This is "The Machine", a | :23:05. | :23:06.
Welsh science fiction movie released in cinemas tomorrow. Although it was | :23:07. | :23:10.
made for a modest ?1 million, it contains more than 400 computer | :23:11. | :23:13.
generated effects, most of which were designed by a visual effects | :23:14. | :23:19.
team based in Cardiff. There is no reason why those types of projects | :23:20. | :23:24.
cannot be done by artists in Wales. All that is lacking at the moment is | :23:25. | :23:28.
infrastructure. These are the visual effects designers of the future. | :23:29. | :23:31.
Nearly 100 students here at the University of South Wales are | :23:32. | :23:34.
learning the skills to create high end special effects for the film and | :23:35. | :23:39.
television industry. But when they graduate, there's no guarantee | :23:40. | :23:43.
they'll find work this side of the Severn Bridge. I tell my students, | :23:44. | :23:50.
if you are looking to work on major feature films, London is the base | :23:51. | :23:56.
that there 90% of the visual effects that takes place in this country. | :23:57. | :24:00.
Trying to break beyond that is quite hard. These days most films and TV | :24:01. | :24:12.
dramas use of special effects. As demand for special effects grows, so | :24:13. | :24:14.
too does the industry providing them. And it's a lucrative market. | :24:15. | :24:20.
Last year, visual effects work brought ?200 million into the UK | :24:21. | :24:31.
economy. . If Wales wants a share of those spoils, it will need to prove | :24:32. | :24:35.
that it's a one stop shop for all aspects of film production. Some | :24:36. | :24:38.
believe we're there already. We are seeing a huge migration to Wales | :24:39. | :24:40.
where we can service production and where we have the talent and where | :24:41. | :24:43.
we have the facilities. That will only grow as production gains | :24:44. | :24:47.
momentum here. Danny Hargreaves has taken full advantage of the recent | :24:48. | :24:50.
upturn in production companies filming in Wales. He's done the | :24:51. | :24:54.
special effects work for a slew of high profile television series, | :24:55. | :24:56.
including 'Doctor Who', 'Sherlock' and 'Da Vinci's Demons'. He already | :24:57. | :25:01.
had an effects business in London but eight years ago he moved it all | :25:02. | :25:09.
to Cardiff. It was a huge risk to come here. Generally the industry in | :25:10. | :25:13.
Wales has grown massively over the last few years. For us it has | :25:14. | :25:18.
enabled us as a company to grow with the industry. If our effects | :25:19. | :25:22.
industry is holding its own on the small screen, the big budget rewards | :25:23. | :25:25.
that come with Hollywood productions are still a way off. It's hoped the | :25:26. | :25:29.
arrival of the new Pinewood film studios in Cardiff may change all | :25:30. | :25:32.
that. But films like 'The Machine' prove that we've got the talent in | :25:33. | :25:35.
Wales to produce special effects like these from conception to | :25:36. | :25:57.
completion. Let's get you whether now with | :25:58. | :25:58.
Derek. Temperatures are dropping. And that | :25:59. | :26:07.
sets the scene for the next few days. Colder than recently with a | :26:08. | :26:10.
mixture of sunshine and showers. Some of the showers heavy and wintry | :26:11. | :26:13.
and watch out for frost on Sunday night. Today's rain has now cleared, | :26:14. | :26:17.
leaving a much drier evening and night. The cloud well broken with | :26:18. | :26:20.
just a few scattered showers. Colder than last night. In Mid Wales and | :26:21. | :26:23.
the Marches the temperature will fall close to freezing with a ground | :26:24. | :26:27.
frost. Here's the picture for 8:00am in the morning. Colder than today | :26:28. | :26:30.
but some dry weather. Sunshine in Wrexham. Mind you, it won't be dry | :26:31. | :26:33.
everywhere. Showers in the south and west will be heavy in places. Breezy | :26:34. | :26:37.
on the coast. Strong winds in the northwest. So a mixture of sunshine | :26:38. | :26:40.
and showers tomorrow. The showers becoming more widespread during the | :26:41. | :26:43.
afternoon. Some of them heavy with hail and thunder and wintry on high | :26:44. | :26:47.
ground. The wind increasing with top temperatures 7C to 10C. In | :26:48. | :26:49.
Denbighshire, the morning will be dry and bright but expect showers in | :26:50. | :26:53.
the afternoon. A high of 9C in Ruthin. In Bridgend tomorrow, a | :26:54. | :26:56.
little sunshine but also heavy showers, perhaps with hail and | :26:57. | :26:59.
thunder. Becoming breezy with a top temperature of 8C in Maesteg. | :27:00. | :27:02.
Tomorrow night, clear spells and showers. Again some of the showers | :27:03. | :27:05.
heavy and wintry with hail, sleet and snow. A dusting of snow on | :27:06. | :27:09.
higher ground with a risk of icy patches. Saturday will continue | :27:10. | :27:11.
chilly and breezy with further wintry showers. Sunday night will be | :27:12. | :27:14.
dry, clear and cold with a widespread frost. In Powys the | :27:15. | :27:18.
temperature could fall as low as -3C. Monday looks nice. Dry and | :27:19. | :27:30.
sunny with a southeasterly breeze. It's coming up to 7:00pm. The main | :27:31. | :27:34.
news again from the BBC: The Australian government says it's | :27:35. | :27:36.
received satellite images of two objects in the Southern Ocean which | :27:37. | :27:39.
could be linked to the disappearance of the Malaysian airliner. It's now | :27:40. | :27:43.
13 days since flight MH370 went missing with 239 people on board. | :27:44. | :27:46.
That is it for now. From all of us here, good evening. | :27:47. | :27:47.
