Hospital chiefs in Pembrokeshire have admitted liability for the

death of a patient who waited hours for a life-saving operation.

82-year-old Malcolm Green suffered internal bleeding after surgery for

bowel cancer, but doctors initially failed to pick up on it.

82-year-old Malcolm Green was a well-known and well liked local

businessmen. He was awarded the MBE for services to the community one

year before his death. Mr Green had gone into Withybush for a routine

operation to remove a bowel tumour on the 26th of June 2012. Early the

next morning, there were indications something was wrong. His blood

pressure had dropped significantly. But it was some hours later that

medical staff realised he was bleeding internally. At 10am he was

prepped for emergency surgery. But it did not take place until the

hours later. His family have fought hard to uncover evidence of the

delays he suffered. It is nearly two years ago that dad passed away and

it has been a difficult process to get to this stage. But primarily for

my mother 's point of view, I hope this is the end of the matter.

The coroner did not conclude that Malcolm Green's treatment amounted

to neglect, he did say that it was not good. Hospital bosses said more

doctors should be available for emergency cases when needed.

It is a change in working patterns so they do not have to deal with the

many urgent calls as they were having to previously.

His family now say they will take on a civil case for damages against the

health board. An inquest has heard how a

two-year-old boy with autism who drowned in a neighbour's pond after

wandering away from home. Harvey Lee Williams was found face down in

water at Froncysyllte near Llangollen last December. His family

had been in the process of moving house when he disappeared.

A new leader of Caerphilly Council has been elected this evening. The

ruling Labour Group has chosen Councillor Keith Reynolds - seen

here on the right. He replaces Harry Andrews who announced his decision

to retire last month. A man from Port Talbot has been

jailed for eight weeks for publishing offensive messages online

about the death of Leeds school teacher Ann Maguire. Robert Riley

was sentenced at Swansea Magistrates' Court where he was told

his comments had been hurtful, especially for Mrs Maguire's family

and friends. Ann Maguire's tragic death shocked the nation and lead to

an outpouring of grief in her local community. But just two days after

she was stabbed, a series of offensive messages relating to this

is Maguire's death were published online from a computer in Port

Talbot. Having already admitted writing the tweets, Robert Riley

arrived at Swansea Magistrates' Court today to be sentenced. The

court heard Riley sent each week training he would have attacked all

the teachers at the school. The magistrates were also told about

highly offensive remarks the 42-year-old had posted in the past.

Amongst them were comments about Jewish and Muslim people and about

9/11 and about the Korean ferry disaster. Bailey's solicitor said

his client leads an insular life and is aware his acts where

unacceptable. He was sentenced to eight weeks in jail. A 16-year-old

boy from Cardiff has been arrested relating to offensive comments. A

Leeds man has been charged with the same offence.

A head teacher and another member of staff at a school have been

suspended, during an investigation by governors and Swansea council.

The action was taken after a film was posted on social media sites

which appeared to contain the sounds of people having sex coming from a

room at Ysgol Gyfun Bryn Tawe. Following a complaint, it's been

confirmed the deputy head would be managing the school for the time

being. Plans to shut junction 41 of the M4

at Port Talbot in a trial to improve traffic flow have been changed.

Instead of closing it completely, only the westbound side will be shut

at peak time during the trial in August. More than 20,000 people

signed a petition and over 300 attended a public meeting against

the proposals. Research for the charity Scope has

found 60% of people admit to feeling uncomfortable talking to disabled

people. They've launched a series of adverts to try and help people

overcome what the charity describe as an awkwardness when talking to

people with disabilities. They just are worried about saying

the wrong thing. There are worried about being patronising, so

therefore people have tended to avoid engaging at all. That's what

campaigners trying to address. Trying to get past those awkward

moments that many of us feel in life. If people go onto our website,

find out how awkward they are or not and there is tips and advice on what

people can do. Football, and Wales' Women have

beaten Montenegro 4-0 in their 2015 World Cup qualifier tonight. Jess

Fishlock grabbed a hat-trick in the win in Bangor. The result leaves

Wales still second in their Qualifying Group behind England, who

beat Ukraine this evening. Wales' next qualifier is next month against

Turkey in Haverfordwest. Montenegro was defensively very

organised. Because they are physical players they were able to defend

very deep and that made it difficult for us. We highlighted before the

game that we need to move the ball quickly. We need to pass quickly and

kick the ball as much as possible and I felt that the girls used that

to a maximum and were able to score some good goals.

Rugby and a Probables versus Possibles encounter will be held at

the end of the month as Wales Coach Warren Gatland looks to pick a

31-man squad to tour South Africa this summer. The two sides will be

coached separately by Wales assistant coaches Rob Howley and

Robin McBryde. The game will take place on Friday the 30th of May at

the Liberty Stadium. Warren Gatland will reveal his tour squad after the

match that night. Talking of probables and possibles -

I bet it's probably some rain, possibly some sunshine. How's the

some good news. Some sunshine tomorrow. It will be breezy but

drier and brighter. Here is the cloud that brought today's rain.

That has moved away. This clump of cloud over Ireland is heading our

way. It may be dry for now but it will not stay that way. It will move

eastwards bringing showers. Not a cold night. Tomorrow morning, not as

wet as this morning. A few showers around and quite breezy on the

coast. But some dry and bright weather and sunshine mixed in with

that. Across the rest of the UK, a mixture of showers and sunny spells.

Some heavy showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Breezy in the

South. At 3pm in Wales you may catch a shower which could be heavy, but

most places will miss showers and state drive. Try and come for a time

tomorrow evening. But that will not last. More rain after midnight. The

wind will pick up again as well. Saturday has more of an autumnal

look to it. It will start off wet. It will dry up for a time but then

showers will pack in, some heavy and thundery. Strong winds especially in

the South and West. Sunday will continue cool and windy.

Temperatures lower than Saturday. Some showers will be heavy. Perhaps

some sunshine for the Pembrokeshire coast. Heading into Monday, the wind

will be lighter with brother showers and some sunshine. Your umbrella

will come in handy this weekend. But I can promise a little sunshine.
