Good evening. Wales is eighth in the Commonwealth Games medal table after

a wonderful weekend of action. They have no won 17 medals including two

golds. Our reporter has more. Team Wales feel the momentum is with them

and after this dominant performance in swimming there are raised hopes

of more medals in the next few days. It was a record. Carlin is now

favourite for gold tomorrow. I have not experienced the home crowd like

this before it really is a special feeling, I cannot wait until

tomorrow night. This was the rugby. The Australians fought back to

snatch it in injury time. Yesterday's action will surely go

down as one of the best days for Wales in Commonwealth history with

Bellovin medals won. Frankie Jones led the way in the gymnastics.

Natalie Powell, now studying at Cardiff University, claimed Wales'

second gold medal in the judo. She beat Jemma Gibbons in a tense

final. Commonwealth and tubal -- judo is not in very often. You take

your shots and I managed to win it. This 35 and old naval officer had to

put judo on hold to pursue a career in the armed services before a

change of heart last year. I was at sea for long stints when I could not

get to judo clubs. I was supported and the Navy released me for six

months to take part in this and it has paid off. Thomas won in the pool

and then this silver medal came in the backstroke with the favourite 50

metre event still to come for this swimmer. I am thrilled with the

personal best to. And one of our favourite athletes bid farewell to

competition. She had come out of retirement to compete in Glasgow and

finished an exceptional career with bronze. I have had the fantastic

team, thank you everybody who supported me. In a few minutes we

will look to win a second medal in the cycling after this woman

yesterday took bronze in the ten key race. There has been criticism of

the police handling of eight March in Cardiff City centre yesterday.

The rally was in protest against the action in Gaza. Police were there to
