Our top story: First Minister Carwyn Jones' head-to-head with Ukip

:00:00.:00:00.

leader Nigel Farage, debating the UK's future

:00:07.:00:08.

It's one of the biggest decisions that our generation

:00:09.:00:17.

Organisers are hoping it sets the tone and terms of the debate in

:00:18.:00:29.

Wales. The plummeting price of scrap metal

they were embarassing Now Swansea focus on staying

in the Premier League after crashing Should the UK leave or remain

:01:07.:01:10.

in the European Union? That's the heart of the debate

:01:11.:01:23.

tonight between the First Minister, Carwyn Jones, and Ukip leader,

:01:24.:01:25.

Nigel Farage. Mr Farage has already raised

:01:26.:01:29.

the stakes, claiming Britain's membership of the EU has helped put

:01:30.:01:32.

the future of Port Talbot Carwyn Jones responded by accusing

:01:33.:01:35.

Ukip of an anti-Welsh attitude. Our political editor,

:01:36.:01:41.

Nick Servini, is in Cardiff Bay, where things are about

:01:42.:01:43.

to get underway. As you can see, the hall is filling

:01:44.:01:59.

up behind me. The two sides had been upping the ante over the course of

:02:00.:02:04.

the day and it will be interesting to see how emotive this head-to-head

:02:05.:02:08.

debate becomes when these two men take to the lectern. It is not being

:02:09.:02:15.

televised live but it is being streamed online. It's fair to say

:02:16.:02:20.

that what is said here tonight could form the backdrop of the EU

:02:21.:02:23.

referendum campaign when it finally gets underway in Wales. Nigel Farage

:02:24.:02:31.

faces the cameras in Cardiff Bay. He is hoping his party will have a

:02:32.:02:35.

presence here this year after the Assembly elections and he is also

:02:36.:02:40.

hoping he does so as the UK gets ready to leave the European Union.

:02:41.:02:44.

The fact we are not free in the global economy to make our own deals

:02:45.:02:49.

across the world, to control our own borders, to have have an Australian

:02:50.:02:57.

style points system is not working any more. This is the first

:02:58.:03:03.

head-to-head debate of its kind. As we look set to enter the campaign

:03:04.:03:08.

for the first EU referendum in 40 years. Welsh Labour has already come

:03:09.:03:12.

out strongly in favour of remaining in. I think we should put forward a

:03:13.:03:17.

positive case as to why Wales benefits as part of being part of

:03:18.:03:26.

the European Union. It can help us in terms of jobs, innovation, that

:03:27.:03:31.

for the future of our young people. Expect one of the main battle

:03:32.:03:37.

grounds to be jobs. Carwyn Jones believes tens of thousands are at

:03:38.:03:41.

risk particularly with big manufacturers in the UK pulls out.

:03:42.:03:47.

Ukip says it will respond and highly topical fashion, claiming EU

:03:48.:03:52.

regulations put the future of the steelworks at risk. Nigel Farage is

:03:53.:03:55.

likely to go on the attack about the Welsh government's record on the

:03:56.:03:59.

millions of pounds of EU aid that has been invested in deprived

:04:00.:04:05.

communities. Labour claims more than ?800 million in aid will be lost to

:04:06.:04:09.

Wales in the event of a withdrawal but Ukip says the Westminster

:04:10.:04:14.

government pays up ?55 million a day to be part of the EU. If the UK

:04:15.:04:18.

pulls out, much of that money would be free to be spent in Wales. And

:04:19.:04:25.

looking in the background is the Assembly election campaign. There

:04:26.:04:30.

are advantages potentially to both men for tonight. It gives an

:04:31.:04:33.

opportunity to the First Minister to portray himself as a guardian of

:04:34.:04:38.

Welsh interests in the EU debate on the Nigel Farage an opportunity to

:04:39.:04:42.

be in Wales where his party is making a big push for the Assembly.

:04:43.:04:48.

The main campaign groups in the referendum would be formed into we

:04:49.:04:52.

know the exact date. David Cameron said yesterday that could be in the

:04:53.:04:56.

summer if he completes his re-negotiation with other EU leaders

:04:57.:05:00.

next month. The official Conservative position will not be

:05:01.:05:04.

known until those talks are over but there are plenty of sceptics in his

:05:05.:05:10.

party. The fact is simply that if we were not sending ?10 billion to

:05:11.:05:14.

Europe every year, we would spend it the way we want to our own

:05:15.:05:24.

priorities, one of them being regional aid. As far as Wales is

:05:25.:05:26.

concerned, Wales could do better as part of a strong United Kingdom. The

:05:27.:05:29.

Lib Dems say jobs would disappear overnight of the drawbridge was

:05:30.:05:34.

pulled up. Applied, it says the UK should not exit the EU without all

:05:35.:05:40.

four nations agreeing. If you look at our higher education sector,

:05:41.:05:46.

transport infrastructure and our agricultural centre and business,

:05:47.:05:50.

those are all areas where there is clear benefit to Wales and it is in

:05:51.:05:54.

Wales's interests were asked to remain a member of the EU. The

:05:55.:05:59.

stakes are high for both parties in the campaign. Labour says Wales has

:06:00.:06:04.

the most to lose. On that reckoning, Ukip will claim Wales has the most

:06:05.:06:12.

to gain as well. To my's event has been organised by a think tank and

:06:13.:06:18.

in the audience are many of the opinion formers in Wales, one of

:06:19.:06:23.

them Valerie Livingston. What are you expecting tonight? A really good

:06:24.:06:30.

debate. Nigel Farage has extensive experience in these events. He is

:06:31.:06:34.

also debating Europe, topic knows very well and is passionate about.

:06:35.:06:39.

He is up against Carwyn Jones, a man who also has a lot experience

:06:40.:06:47.

debating opposition politicians. He talked about emotion earlier. They

:06:48.:06:51.

have been building it up. How emotive do you think it will be?

:06:52.:06:56.

Passions will run high tide. It would make a lot of sense for both

:06:57.:07:01.

politicians to get in killer sound bites. And I suppose the key

:07:02.:07:10.

question is, to what extent will Wales set the tone and terms of the

:07:11.:07:14.

referendum campaign when it gets underway? I think tonight, the

:07:15.:07:23.

Carwyn Jones especially, it's about establishing himself as a credible

:07:24.:07:28.

leader and positioning himself as First Minister of Wales. And Nigel

:07:29.:07:35.

Farage? It's very important for in to night to get those great sound

:07:36.:07:39.

bites, to keep the momentum he has got in Wales at the moment that

:07:40.:07:43.

could transform into a block of assembly seats. Thank you very much

:07:44.:07:48.

indeed. We will have live updates online join the cause of the debate

:07:49.:07:53.

and I will bring you more at the 10:30pm bulletin.

:07:54.:07:57.

The state of the steel industry is expected to come up in the debate

:07:58.:08:00.

tonight so let's stay with that now because the price of scrap

:08:01.:08:03.

It's a good barometer of the health of the steel industry

:08:04.:08:07.

Scrap steel is only reaching half the price it was fetching this time

:08:08.:08:11.

last year - of great concern because of the thousands of jobs

:08:12.:08:14.

Our economics correspondent, Sarah Dickins, has the story.

:08:15.:08:25.

In Swansea docks, scrap metal is prepared to export and usually with

:08:26.:08:32.

the neighbouring steelworks. It notably buys scrap steel from this

:08:33.:08:37.

site to add to the steering makes from raw materials. None has been

:08:38.:08:40.

ordered for the first three months of this year. The demand for scraps

:08:41.:08:45.

steel fell throughout last year. 2015 has been tough. We have seen

:08:46.:08:51.

cheap Chinese still coming in from China into traditional European

:08:52.:08:55.

markets. In the UK particularly, they have suffered as a result of

:08:56.:09:01.

high energy tariffs as well. It is a double whammy with cheap Chinese

:09:02.:09:05.

products as well as the electricity tariffs. That has dampened the price

:09:06.:09:10.

of steel scrap down to virtually all time lows when you take into account

:09:11.:09:15.

annual inflation. Scrap cars were fetching ?85 per tonne a year ago.

:09:16.:09:23.

Now they are sold for ?25. 15 people are employed here. The scrap is

:09:24.:09:30.

change for different customers. These bundles will be exported to

:09:31.:09:38.

India. This has a copper content in it. We send that the fragmentation.

:09:39.:09:44.

On the left-hand side, this parlours where we load up the steel. We send

:09:45.:09:50.

that to Spain. The scrap sector employs 1500 people in Wales, 10,000

:09:51.:09:55.

across the UK and impacts many different parts of the economy. When

:09:56.:10:00.

economies around the world of feeling strong, confident and

:10:01.:10:02.

optimistic about the future, scrap like this game is huge value.

:10:03.:10:09.

Everybody wants it because it goes into so many commodities. The fact

:10:10.:10:13.

it is so low, the price, now and that there is a demand across the

:10:14.:10:18.

world suggests we have bumpy months ahead. Many economic forecasters say

:10:19.:10:22.

growth around the world will slow further as the year progresses,

:10:23.:10:27.

hitting scrap and the steel industry in general. South Wales particularly

:10:28.:10:32.

was the hub of the steel-making sector and relied upon steel scrap

:10:33.:10:36.

is a vital raw material within the steel-making chain so scrap matters

:10:37.:10:42.

absolutely. It is an essential raw material. And steel scrap is not the

:10:43.:10:46.

only commodity where prices are plummeting. The same is happening

:10:47.:10:51.

with oil, copper and iron ore, all indicators economies around the

:10:52.:10:52.

world are weakening. So Sarah, if the world's demand

:10:53.:10:53.

for steel doesn't pick up, it's a real worry

:10:54.:10:56.

for the industry here? It is. The works are loosing hundred

:10:57.:11:07.

million pounds a day and has been a long time. However committed Tata

:11:08.:11:13.

Steel is in the UK and Wales, and it clearly is, even through difficult

:11:14.:11:17.

times, there comes a point when things have to change. There are no

:11:18.:11:21.

indications that China will suddenly start using itself, the steel that

:11:22.:11:26.

makes, and start exporting steeper steel here. World prices are down.

:11:27.:11:34.

Even the steel Port Talbot is making our low prices. If you remember,

:11:35.:11:39.

before Christmas, we heard the unions were working with Tata Steel

:11:40.:11:45.

to save Port Talbot 4000 jobs. What they want to do is save it as much

:11:46.:11:51.

as possible. It is pretty likely, almost inevitable, that we will not

:11:52.:11:56.

see hundreds of jobs going very soon in the hope of saving as many of

:11:57.:12:05.

those 4000 as we possibly can. A pre-inquest hearing into the death

:12:06.:12:10.

of a soldier has heard how she may have been manipulated by those

:12:11.:12:13.

higher up the chain of command for sexual purposes. Cheryl James was

:12:14.:12:20.

found with a bullet wound to her head in 1995. The coroner must now

:12:21.:12:24.

decide on whether to consider new evidence at a full hearing next

:12:25.:12:29.

month. The MoD said it was inappropriate to suggest widening

:12:30.:12:32.

the scope of the inquest at this late stage.

:12:33.:12:34.

A man who failed to stop after his motorbike hit

:12:35.:12:37.

a ten-year-old boy in Mountain Ash has been jailed for 15 months.

:12:38.:12:40.

Matthew Llewellyn pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice

:12:41.:12:42.

and leaving the scene of the accident.

:12:43.:12:44.

Tye Hawkins suffered life-changing injuries as a result of the accident

:12:45.:12:47.

He suffered a serious brain injury and he is fortunately has had the

:12:48.:13:04.

support of his family and they are very grateful for the support they

:13:05.:13:07.

received from the community and friends in the local area but it is

:13:08.:13:12.

fair to say that there will be significant challenges ahead for him

:13:13.:13:17.

and it might not be until his late teens before the degree of the brain

:13:18.:13:19.

injury becomes clear. A 27-year-old woman has been

:13:20.:13:21.

arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found

:13:22.:13:23.

in a house in Cardiff. Police were called to an address

:13:24.:13:26.

in Llanrumney Avenue at around 4:30am yesterday following

:13:27.:13:29.

reports of a house fire. The man has not yet been

:13:30.:13:31.

formally identified Poor ambulance response times

:13:32.:13:33.

will inevitably lead to deaths, An expert witness was speaking

:13:34.:13:46.

at the inquiry into the death six-year-old Jasmine Lapsley,

:13:47.:13:50.

who choked on a grape whilst Her parents have questioned the 25

:13:51.:13:52.

minutes it took an ambulance Jasmine Lapsley was taken to

:13:53.:14:09.

hospital by helicopter. It arrived shortly after an ambulance. The

:14:10.:14:15.

inquest was told Time is crucial in cases like hers. The first 999 call

:14:16.:14:22.

went in it 8:32pm. Ambulance control contacted the RAF at 8:45pm. An

:14:23.:14:29.

ambulance to not get to Jasmine until 10:57pm. She was in intensive

:14:30.:14:40.

care in Bangor at 9:33pm. Professor Charles Deacon said he did not know

:14:41.:14:47.

why there was a delay in getting in touch with the RAF. One would have

:14:48.:14:52.

thought it would of made sense to contact them right away, he said,

:14:53.:14:57.

and he was asked if the delay was too long. Earlier would have been

:14:58.:15:01.

better, came the reply. Jasmine had been on holiday with her brothers,

:15:02.:15:06.

parents and grandparents. She was playing cards on a grape stuck in

:15:07.:15:10.

her throat. They had travelled from their home in Liverpool to the

:15:11.:15:15.

coast. The inquest heard frantic attempts to help while they waited

:15:16.:15:19.

for an ambulance arrive. The coroner was given figures that showed the

:15:20.:15:23.

upturn in August last year, ambulance response times and Gwyneth

:15:24.:15:29.

Bell consistently below government targets. Lowered targets lead to

:15:30.:15:35.

deaths, Professor Deacon said. At the time, two ambulances in the area

:15:36.:15:39.

were both on the calls. Neither could be diverted. Across the UK,

:15:40.:15:45.

you said, ten children a year die of choking. Time is of the essence.

:15:46.:15:47.

Is Swansea City's exit from the FA Cup a blessing in disguise?

:15:48.:15:54.

Now they can concentrate on staying in the Premier League.

:15:55.:15:57.

And finally, it's turning colder, wintry showers, ice on the roads

:15:58.:16:01.

Pupils have returned to Coed Eva primary school in Cwmbran

:16:02.:16:12.

after the infant classrooms burnt down on New Year's Day.

:16:13.:16:16.

The junior school building has been made temporarily infant-friendly

:16:17.:16:19.

as the school tries to accommodate all of the year groups

:16:20.:16:22.

Jordan Davies spent the afternoon there.

:16:23.:16:32.

Back to school, finally, and a special assembly

:16:33.:16:35.

for the retuning Coed Eva pupils, their Christmas holidays extended

:16:36.:16:39.

by a week because of a fire at the school on New Year's Day,

:16:40.:16:44.

To say that we have moved mountains has not been an understatement. We

:16:45.:16:57.

have had to do staggered break times and the catering facilities but we

:16:58.:17:00.

are managing to do that so that's positive.

:17:01.:17:01.

The infant classrooms burnt down in less than 20 minutes.

:17:02.:17:05.

Two men and four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of arson

:17:06.:17:08.

and have been released on police bail.

:17:09.:17:12.

The junior classes are now officially infant-friendly,

:17:13.:17:15.

which means an urgent delivery of a sandpit for this lot

:17:16.:17:17.

and alterations elsewhere in the school.

:17:18.:17:27.

Temporary classrooms will be craned onto this land to free up space in

:17:28.:17:30.

the school. Parents and pupils have raised

:17:31.:17:33.

hundreds of pounds to help Some were relieved to be

:17:34.:17:35.

back at school. I have been fortunate. A neighbour

:17:36.:17:49.

has looked after my son. But family have had to rally round. For some

:17:50.:17:55.

friends, it has been a big disruption in terms of working and

:17:56.:18:02.

trying to sort out childcare. I was lucky up until Wednesday. My mum was

:18:03.:18:07.

able to take him for me. But as childcare runs out, I had to take

:18:08.:18:11.

unpaid leave from work. As well as dealing with all that trouble, they

:18:12.:18:16.

have had to find replacements for me about other site as well.

:18:17.:18:18.

It could take two years before new permenant classrooms

:18:19.:18:20.

Nursery pupils will have to wait up to a fortnight before

:18:21.:18:23.

The Brecon Beacon National Park Authority has refused to comment

:18:24.:18:29.

further on its proposals to change visitor centres and cut eight jobs.

:18:30.:18:34.

The body says an internal consultation is looking

:18:35.:18:36.

at the proposals to save more than ?200,000 as a result

:18:37.:18:39.

One former park authority member says some feel the body could do

:18:40.:18:46.

We noted in this area, every visitor brings about ?5 into the local

:18:47.:19:05.

economy, which is huge. And I really do think that it is very easy for

:19:06.:19:12.

them to hit the soft targets, the tourist information centres, the

:19:13.:19:15.

Mountains sent and other areas when they should be looking at expanding

:19:16.:19:18.

areas such as the planning department.

:19:19.:19:19.

69 road accidents have been reported to North Wales Police today

:19:20.:19:22.

following an early-morning drop in temperature.

:19:23.:19:23.

Denbighshire and Flintshire Coucils have both said said they didn't grit

:19:24.:19:26.

roads until this morning because overnight forecasts

:19:27.:19:28.

Motorists are being warned to take extra care as the cold

:19:29.:19:31.

We'll have a full weather forecast after tonight's sport with Tomos.

:19:32.:19:43.

Disappointed and embarassed - that's how Swansea's interim manager

:19:44.:19:46.

and players felt after crashing out of the FA Cup at Oxford.

:19:47.:19:51.

Now, staying in the Premier League will be Alan Curtis' main focus,

:19:52.:19:54.

starting with a key game against relegation strugglers

:19:55.:19:57.

Curtis also revealed tonight the club will consider selling

:19:58.:20:03.

Jonjo Shelvey if they get a firm offer.

:20:04.:20:06.

There won't be an FA Cup run for Swansea City this season.

:20:07.:20:13.

Following the dissapointing defeat to Oxford, Alan Curtis was keen

:20:14.:20:16.

to look forward to this Wednesday's fixture against fellow struggling

:20:17.:20:19.

As disappointed and embarrassed as we were by yesterday's performance,

:20:20.:20:35.

we have to look forward now. Wednesday will be a different set of

:20:36.:20:40.

circumstances and I'm sure there will be a big bounce back.

:20:41.:20:42.

Jefferson Montero's sublime strike gave Swansea the lead at Oxford

:20:43.:20:44.

but the League 2 side fought back, securing a shock 3-2 win.

:20:45.:21:03.

Alan Curtis confirmed the club would consider selling shellfish.

:21:04.:21:07.

You described the result as a huge setback but are you looking

:21:08.:21:09.

at yesteday's FA Cup defeat as a blessing in disguise?

:21:10.:21:12.

You're now able to prioritise the League.

:21:13.:21:14.

I have got to be honest, I would rather be in the cup.

:21:15.:21:19.

Swansea are just two points clear of the relegation zone and four

:21:20.:21:22.

points ahead of next opponents Sunderland,

:21:23.:21:23.

The visit of the Black Cats is the first of four home games

:21:24.:21:28.

here at the Liberty over the next month.

:21:29.:21:31.

Cardiff City will also play on Wednesday.

:21:32.:21:33.

They travel to Hull in the Championship,

:21:34.:21:35.

hoping to bounce back after a third-round defeat yesterday

:21:36.:21:38.

to lower league opposition Shrewsbury of League 1.

:21:39.:21:52.

The new playing surface could be installed on Thursday.

:21:53.:22:01.

The weather has also taken a toll on the pitch at Rodney Parade

:22:02.:22:04.

with Newport County's FA Cup third-round game cancelled.

:22:05.:22:06.

Their tie with Blackburn has been postponed until a week tomorrow.

:22:07.:22:10.

They are the only Welsh team in the pot.

:22:11.:22:14.

Newport fans - you haven't got long to wait.

:22:15.:22:16.

The draw is at 7:15pm, during The One Show,

:22:17.:22:18.

Wales have confirmed they'll be based in Brittany

:22:19.:22:22.

in North West France for this summer's Euro 2016 finals.

:22:23.:22:26.

Chris Coleman's squad will be staying at this 4-star spa resort

:22:27.:22:30.

set among 30,000 square metres of parkland overlooking

:22:31.:22:34.

It has a world-class fitness centre that includes three indoor swimming

:22:35.:22:38.

The players will train at Dinard FC, which is less than two miles away.

:22:39.:22:48.

Welshman Mark Sampson says he owes a lot to his players after agreeing

:22:49.:22:51.

a two-year contract extension with the England women's team.

:22:52.:22:55.

Well, it's a big night for Sampson, who's from Taff Well near Cardiff.

:22:56.:22:58.

He's nominated for the Women's Coach of the Year at the Ballon D'or

:22:59.:23:01.

Awards in Zurich, which celebrates the best in world football.

:23:02.:23:09.

You have got to paint yourself sometimes. I have got some really

:23:10.:23:18.

good friends and family back home to bring me back down to earth to

:23:19.:23:21.

remember the tough times as well. But at the moment, they are good

:23:22.:23:25.

times. You are always aware in football that things can change

:23:26.:23:28.

quickly so you've got to enjoy the good times and get back on the

:23:29.:23:31.

bandwagon when you have got bad times.

:23:32.:23:33.

The Glamorgan bowling coach Robert Croft, who'll be joining

:23:34.:23:35.

the England coaching team for the One Day International series

:23:36.:23:37.

against South Africa next month, says he's interested in the vacant

:23:38.:23:40.

The club hopes to appoint Toby Radford's successor next month.

:23:41.:23:44.

Croft also told me he's looking forward to working with England's

:23:45.:23:46.

I am really excited about it. I got a phone call before Christmas from

:23:47.:23:59.

Andrew Strauss, asking me if I would consider going out of being in the

:24:00.:24:03.

environment for the spinners primarily, if they should want to

:24:04.:24:08.

discuss experiences on the field, nothing technical. Do you think you

:24:09.:24:16.

fancy your chances at the top job? It appeals to me. At this stage in

:24:17.:24:22.

my career, playing has gone, so it is a job that appeals to me. It is

:24:23.:24:28.

just whether it is the right time. You up for it, it is whether

:24:29.:24:34.

Glamorgan want you. I am sure, like any decision-making process, it will

:24:35.:24:38.

be examined fully by Hugh Morris and his team.

:24:39.:24:43.

This is the first time this winter I've used the frosty globe.

:24:44.:24:49.

Not a big freeze but feeling much more seasonal.

:24:50.:24:53.

Most of the snow on higher ground with some frost and icy patches.

:24:54.:25:01.

Ice caused numerous accidents in north Wales this morning.

:25:02.:25:04.

Tonight some dry weather but a few showers as well.

:25:05.:25:07.

Becoming strong on the north and west coast with lowest

:25:08.:25:16.

Tomorrow's chart shows low pressure over the North Sea.

:25:17.:25:20.

Plenty of isobars over the UK and that means stronger winds.

:25:21.:25:25.

Here's the picture for 8 in the morning.

:25:26.:25:29.

Parts of the south and SW dry but a different story for mid

:25:30.:25:32.

Falling as snow on higher ground, the hills and mountains.

:25:33.:25:37.

During the day the rain and showers will spread further south.

:25:38.:25:46.

Most of the snow on higher ground, the hills and mountains.

:25:47.:25:50.

Temperatures lower than today 3 to 7 Celsius.

:25:51.:25:59.

And feeling much colder in the strong and gusty wind.

:26:00.:26:02.

Bitterly cold on Pen y Fan tomorrow with gales and snow showers.

:26:03.:26:05.

Tomorrow night the wind and showers will ease.

:26:06.:26:10.

Becoming dry and clear with a widespread

:26:11.:26:12.

So a dry, frosty and icy start on Wednesday.

:26:13.:26:17.

Bright for a time but more showers will spread from the west

:26:18.:26:20.

And falling as snow on higher ground, the hills and mountains.

:26:21.:26:31.

On Thursday a breezy, windy day and feeling colder.

:26:32.:26:33.

Most of the showers in the north and west.

:26:34.:26:38.

Let's return to our main story and the First Minister Carwyn Jones

:26:39.:26:41.

and UKIP's Nigel Farage are about to go head to head

:26:42.:26:43.

in a debate on whether the UK should leave -

:26:44.:26:45.

Our Political Editor Nick Servini is there.

:26:46.:26:49.

It is. Fair to describe this as the most high-profile event, political

:26:50.:27:08.

event, in Wales in relation to the EU referendum campaign. The timing

:27:09.:27:13.

here is relevant. Organisers want this to kick start a debate about

:27:14.:27:18.

our membership of the EU and they could be right. David Cameron

:27:19.:27:21.

yesterday was indicating strongly that if he gets his renegotiation

:27:22.:27:25.

next month, this referendum could happen as early as June. The

:27:26.:27:30.

campaign could be a con us before we know it. In terms of the issues that

:27:31.:27:35.

will be debated tonight, I would expect aid, trade and immigration to

:27:36.:27:41.

dominate. Interesting questions that will be fascinating to see how it

:27:42.:27:46.

plays out. To what extent will Labour play the fear card on what it

:27:47.:27:51.

could mean for jobs and growth in the event of an EU withdrawal? Nigel

:27:52.:27:56.

Farage will be far more used to operating in a head-to-head debate

:27:57.:28:01.

than Carwyn Jones in relation to this. And then of course, how

:28:02.:28:09.

emotive or both leaders be? Comprehensive coverage of that

:28:10.:28:14.

debate at 10:25pm. Quick update a PM before then.

:28:15.:28:17.
