Leaving the EU would deliver "real devolution"

to the National Assembly, according to Ukip's leader in Wales.

Nathan Gill was addressing the party's spring conference

in Llandudno, where Nigel Farage told UKIP members they were poised

to make a breakthrough in the Assembly elections in May.

Well, thank you very much, good morning, everybody.

Gearing up for the Assembly election in May, and the EU

I am certainly optimistic here in Wales that we are going to do

very well and make a breakthrough, and I think that certainly in Wales

and London and Scotland, we will once again do what we did

We will surprise the commentators by just how many votes we take

Ukip's leader in Wales said leaving the EU would give

We can help our farmers farm in the way that they have

for centuries, and make the produce, our produce, some of the best

We can protect our industries, tap into our natural wealth

and resources, and put power back into the hands of the people.

Pro-EU campaigners point out that until recently,

Traditionally, we have found it very difficult to get our fair share

of money from the Treasury, we have found it very difficult

to devolve powers from Westminster to Wales, so this is all nonsense

and nothing to do with the referendum.

They are offering false and empty promises.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales has criticised

the way changes to the state pension age have been made.

Thousands of women who've retired or are approaching retirement age

claim they've received little or no notice that they'll have to wait

But the Department for Work and Pensions says letters were sent

to all the affected women letting them know of the changes.

What has been a serious problem is the failure to communicate

properly with women to let them know the situation,

so I am aware of the fact that women who have planned their retirement

for a very long time have suddenly discovered that actually,

they are not going to get their pension as quickly

as they thought, and have had to carry on working longer,

and in some instances I understand women have had to go back to work,

so this really is a failure on the part of the Government,

and although we support the change, it should have
