Tonight's headlines: Martin Bowen stabbed his ex-partner. | :00:00. | :00:00.
The police watchdog criticises three Gwent | :00:07. | :00:07.
officers for not doing enough to keep her safe in the days before. | :00:08. | :00:19.
No one responded to her. And her ex-partner was able to gain entry | :00:20. | :00:28.
into the house and to stab her repeat key. So really, Gwent Police | :00:29. | :00:31.
failed her that evening. Assembly Members say | :00:32. | :00:35.
Cardiff Airport's missing passenger targets and lacks a long-term | :00:36. | :00:37.
plan to grow. We hear how a new law | :00:38. | :00:38.
could give people like Neil, who has a learning | :00:39. | :00:42.
disability, a greater voice. Also tonight, the build | :00:43. | :00:46.
up to Euro 2016. Chris Coleman welcomes assurances | :00:47. | :00:48.
that games won't be played behind And you'll need to spend more | :00:49. | :00:51.
than a penny to live here. This public toilet with views | :00:52. | :00:59.
of the Clywedog Reservoir is up They could go for | :01:00. | :01:01.
as little as ?1000. Three Gwent Police officers took | :01:02. | :01:10.
insufficient action to safeguard a woman from Newport who was later | :01:11. | :01:30.
stabbed by her ex-partner. That's the finding | :01:31. | :01:33.
of an investigation Christine Evans called for help | :01:34. | :01:34.
after 24-year-old Martin Bowen began texting her, in breach | :01:35. | :01:38.
of a harassment warning. But officers did not go to her home, | :01:39. | :01:40.
and hours later Bowen Martin Bowen 's violent past was | :01:41. | :02:03.
known to police. They knew his former partner Christine Evans was | :02:04. | :02:08.
at high risk of harm from him. When Christine called for help, she | :02:09. | :02:13.
should have received a priority response but Gwent Police failed to | :02:14. | :02:16.
get to her before Martin Bowen stabbed her in the neck and chest. | :02:17. | :02:21.
The case prompted a review by the Independent Police Complaints | :02:22. | :02:24.
Commission which found a lack of understanding and confusion among | :02:25. | :02:28.
officers around risk assessments and seven failure to follow force | :02:29. | :02:32.
policies and procedures. The report also found that the high volume of | :02:33. | :02:39.
"Rocks at the force control room was attempting to handle at the time was | :02:40. | :02:43.
very concerning, raising wider concerns around public protection. | :02:44. | :02:48.
From the start, from the time Miss Evans contacted the control room, | :02:49. | :02:57.
through to the way in which she was dealt with, they failed to safeguard | :02:58. | :03:01.
her. Charities say they are concerns these cases could deter others from | :03:02. | :03:07.
seeking help. There is a concern it will put people off reporting abuse. | :03:08. | :03:11.
We know that there have been a lot of improvements and there are a lot | :03:12. | :03:16.
of good response is therefore people. We would say not to let this | :03:17. | :03:21.
sort of put people off. At the IPCC commissioner also points out that | :03:22. | :03:28.
this is not the handling of cases has been handed. There were striking | :03:29. | :03:40.
similarities between the two cases. I wrote to the Chief Constable and | :03:41. | :03:45.
highlighted the fact that the force really needed to go back to the | :03:46. | :03:50.
beginning and overhaul all its systems and processes. Gwent Police | :03:51. | :03:55.
who referred the actions of their officers to the IPCC says it has | :03:56. | :03:58.
taken action against those officers involved in the case and has since | :03:59. | :04:02.
made dramatic operational and organisational changes to address | :04:03. | :04:08.
the issues raised. They added that they are constantly striving to do | :04:09. | :04:11.
their best on behalf of the public. Christine Evans said -- survived the | :04:12. | :04:17.
attack, a crime for which Martin Bowen is now serving an eight-year | :04:18. | :04:20.
sentence. Cardiff Airport's missing | :04:21. | :04:22.
its passenger targets and lacks a long-term plan to expand, | :04:23. | :04:24.
according to a committee of Assembly But the Public Accounts Committee | :04:25. | :04:26.
said the reasons for the Welsh Government's purchase | :04:27. | :04:29.
of the airport were clear, and the ?52 million cost | :04:30. | :04:31.
could be "justified." Our Business Correspondent Brian | :04:32. | :04:33.
Meechan is there tonight. I think it is definitely proved | :04:34. | :04:43.
harder ultimately to turn the airport around than many people | :04:44. | :04:49.
might have expected. There were early victories, it has to be said. | :04:50. | :04:52.
I think the management team won the Welsh government took over did | :04:53. | :04:57.
manage to stop the rot that it has just pleaded along since then but | :04:58. | :05:02.
there has been that influence of Flybe to recently. That has come in | :05:03. | :05:07.
to help out. Get passenger numbers increasing again and now it seems | :05:08. | :05:10.
the management teams here feel the momentum is firmly behind them. More | :05:11. | :05:17.
and more of a site using Cardiff Airport. New routes have been added | :05:18. | :05:21.
and facilities are being improved. But it has not been meeting the | :05:22. | :05:27.
targets that were originally set for it by the Welsh Government which | :05:28. | :05:32.
bought it in 2013. In the most recent financial year, 1 million | :05:33. | :05:36.
passengers went through the airport. By 2018, that is due to grow to 1.4 | :05:37. | :05:41.
million per year but the original projection was for 2 million | :05:42. | :05:45.
travellers by that point. The Public Accounts Committee has challenged | :05:46. | :05:48.
those figures. It was very clear from the evidence that we received | :05:49. | :05:52.
as a committee that basically the Welsh Government 's figures were | :05:53. | :05:54.
overly optimistic that the time that the airport was purchased and on | :05:55. | :06:02.
that basis, it was difficult, it was always going to be difficult for the | :06:03. | :06:05.
airport which easily figures that had been placed in that span. The | :06:06. | :06:09.
Assembly Members are concerned that there is no long-term plan for the | :06:10. | :06:13.
airport. They also want to see more experts on the board. The committee | :06:14. | :06:19.
of Assembly Members concluded that the ?52 million price tag for this | :06:20. | :06:24.
airport could be justified and that the reasons for buying it were | :06:25. | :06:31.
clear. They did however also hear from an expert who said that a | :06:32. | :06:34.
private commercial company would not have paid the price for it. Flybe | :06:35. | :06:39.
recently announced a series of new European roots celebrating with a | :06:40. | :06:45.
traditional water cannon salute. The Welsh Government says the airport | :06:46. | :06:48.
would have closed if it had not stepped in to buy it. Flybe has | :06:49. | :06:52.
announced it will be flying four times a day from Cardiff to London | :06:53. | :06:55.
City Airport for six weeks from September when the seven rail tunnel | :06:56. | :07:00.
is closed so the real lines can be electrified. The managing director | :07:01. | :07:05.
says developing new routes as part of their long-term plan. We had 21% | :07:06. | :07:11.
growth last year which is phenomenal and our business. We had a new | :07:12. | :07:15.
airline start with 15 new routes and we have introduced new destinations. | :07:16. | :07:20.
I think in terms of the business, we are really on an upward trajectory. | :07:21. | :07:27.
Companies which organise business loans and mortgages Reyaad Khan | :07:28. | :07:30.
Spode links between Cardiff and London. They will benefit from the | :07:31. | :07:33.
new airline service. I will be really keen to use it. It will cut | :07:34. | :07:41.
down on travel time for us. In terms of the cost, it will benefit the | :07:42. | :07:49.
business. Many businesses will be hoping the new Cardiff to London | :07:50. | :07:54.
route could continue beyond the six weeks announced. For the airport, it | :07:55. | :07:57.
is a sign of its future direction, rather than the committees | :07:58. | :08:04.
assessment of the past. It is fair to say that they were eyebrows | :08:05. | :08:08.
raised in the business world when the Welsh Government decided to buy | :08:09. | :08:11.
the airport. There were questions raised about whether it was paying | :08:12. | :08:15.
too much for the airport and I think in terms of the business world, | :08:16. | :08:18.
things have just moved on now and people are much more focused on the | :08:19. | :08:21.
support the airport can give to businesses and bed drive to create | :08:22. | :08:25.
jobs and to support the wider economy. | :08:26. | :08:28.
The former footballer, Ched Evans, won't hear if his appeal | :08:29. | :08:31.
against his rape conviction is successful until next month. | :08:32. | :08:33.
Judges at the Court of Appeal reserved judgment following the two | :08:34. | :08:35.
day hearing, which included new evidence. | :08:36. | :08:39.
The Wales international was jailed in 2012 for raping a 19-year-old, | :08:40. | :08:42.
One lane of the A55 remains closed in both directions tonight, | :08:43. | :08:53.
after a chemical spill from a lorry in Conwy. | :08:54. | :08:55.
The road was first shut yesterday morning and traffic has remained | :08:56. | :08:58.
slow after thousands of gallons leaked from the tanker, | :08:59. | :09:00.
onto the road between Colwyn Bay and Llanddulas. | :09:01. | :09:09.
Plaid Cymru says hundreds of thousands of households in Wales | :09:10. | :09:11.
would pay less council tax, if it wins May's assembly election. | :09:12. | :09:14.
Under plans to reform the tax, which is based on property values, | :09:15. | :09:17.
the lowest council tax bands would save up to ?400 a year, | :09:18. | :09:20.
but the top 26% of households would have to pay more. | :09:21. | :09:29.
Major changes to social care services in Wales will soon come | :09:30. | :09:31.
The Social Services and Wellbeing Act is the single | :09:32. | :09:34.
largest piece of legislation passed during this assembly term, | :09:35. | :09:37.
with the aim of giving a greater voice to vulnerable people, | :09:38. | :09:39.
But there are concerns that with budgets squeezed, | :09:40. | :09:42.
Neil Williams from Swansea has a mild learning disability. For | :09:43. | :09:59.
Neil Williams from Swansea has a example of hours a week, he is given | :10:00. | :10:02.
support with everyday tasks. He also spends a lot of his time working | :10:03. | :10:07.
with Swansea people first, a local charity which supports others with a | :10:08. | :10:12.
disability. Neal hopes these social services and well-being act will | :10:13. | :10:15.
help enhance the lives of people like himself. It will give them more | :10:16. | :10:21.
power to do what they want to do and if they do not like something, they | :10:22. | :10:26.
can disagree with the situation. So it is all about power as well for | :10:27. | :10:31.
the people with listening disabilities. -- learning | :10:32. | :10:37.
disabilities. I hope to benefit myself and go on to do a lot more | :10:38. | :10:41.
things. This video helps to explain how the new law which comes into | :10:42. | :10:45.
force on the 6th of April will transform the delivery of social | :10:46. | :10:50.
care in Wales. As well as giving vulnerable people a greater voice, | :10:51. | :10:52.
it will also look to improve support for carers, make powers to safeguard | :10:53. | :10:59.
people stronger and create partnerships between councils and | :11:00. | :11:02.
health boards. This piece of legislation will introduce some big | :11:03. | :11:06.
changes. It can be viewed as an app that which is the gap in the | :11:07. | :11:09.
delivery of health and social care in Wales. And whilst the vast | :11:10. | :11:17.
majority of people see it as a good thing in theory, some question how | :11:18. | :11:21.
it will work in practice. Potentially, we will have the | :11:22. | :11:24.
reorganisation of local authorities or you will have local authorities | :11:25. | :11:27.
competing in terms of their own philosophies. We have a lot of | :11:28. | :11:32.
things coming, a bit like a perfect storm you have some concerns over | :11:33. | :11:37.
production of funding, the fact that local authorities are going to be | :11:38. | :11:39.
merging and then this new change in philosophy. The Welsh Government | :11:40. | :11:43.
says it is confident all bodies involved in the delivery of care | :11:44. | :11:47.
will cope. We have taken powers to make sure the people who are already | :11:48. | :11:51.
getting services will continue to have those services so there is a | :11:52. | :11:53.
smooth transition from the one to the other. Whenever you have major | :11:54. | :11:59.
change, you have to be able to prepare for the unexpected as well | :12:00. | :12:04.
as the expected. We are confident local authorities and their partners | :12:05. | :12:07.
in health and the third sector are prepared for the change and we will | :12:08. | :12:12.
be working hard to make sure the act is a success. It will not happen | :12:13. | :12:15.
overnight but it is hoped the future well-being of people like Neil and | :12:16. | :12:18.
so money others in Wales will improve. | :12:19. | :12:20.
BBC Wales has learnt that a senior Gwent Police officer has privately | :12:21. | :12:23.
apologised for the way the force failed to connect information | :12:24. | :12:26.
about a former head teacher, accused of historical sexual abuse. | :12:27. | :12:28.
Jon Styler, who killed himself in 2007, is accused of abusing boys | :12:29. | :12:31.
at schools in Newport and Worcestershire, | :12:32. | :12:32.
Jon Styler when he was head teacher at the Malpas Church in Wales | :12:33. | :12:43.
Solicitors for his alleged victims now believe he may one of Wales' | :12:44. | :12:51.
Gwent Police received information about Jon Styler in 2005. | :12:52. | :12:54.
But BBC Wales' Week In Week out programme revealed the force didn't | :12:55. | :12:57.
link it to a formal allegation made in 2007. | :12:58. | :13:00.
Jeff Parry, who first spoke to me last summer about the abuse says | :13:01. | :13:03.
he suffered at the Malpas school, has now told BBC Wales he's received | :13:04. | :13:06.
a private apology from a Detective Chief Superintendent | :13:07. | :13:08.
over the force's failure to link the two reports. | :13:09. | :13:20.
They did apologise for what had happened. | :13:21. | :13:22.
They did make it clear that at the time of the investigation, | :13:23. | :13:24.
if the investigation had carried on, then they were sure that the two | :13:25. | :13:28.
files would have been linked all the two complaints would have | :13:29. | :13:30.

It's understood the complainant in 2005 didn't want to press charges. | :13:43. | :13:46.
And that detectives believe the link would have been made | :13:47. | :13:48.
One senior officers believe the force didn't let | :13:49. | :13:52.
The Children's Commissioner for Wales, Professor Sally Holland, | :13:53. | :13:56.
feels the way the case was handled by police should be looked at again. | :13:57. | :13:59.
Detectives have now officially spoken to five people who say | :14:00. | :14:02.
Gwent Police says when Jon Styler took his own life, he deprived | :14:03. | :14:13.

And if you're hoping for a fine Easter weekend, forget it. | :14:36. | :14:38.
I can promise some sunshine, but look what's heading our | :14:39. | :14:40.
In exactly three months' time, Wales and the the rest of the UK | :14:41. | :14:55.
will be voting on whether to remain in the European Union, or leave. | :14:56. | :14:59.
In a series of reports, we'll be looking at the EU's impact here. | :15:00. | :15:02.
Tonight, our political reporter, James Williams, takes a look | :15:03. | :15:04.
at the billions of pounds of economic aid or structural funds | :15:05. | :15:07.
that Wales has received since the turn of the millennium. | :15:08. | :15:15.
One of the biggest decisions our country faces is fast approaching. | :15:16. | :15:19.
For many, it's a question of economics - will we be better | :15:20. | :15:22.
or worse off inside or outside the European Union? | :15:23. | :15:27.
Has the EU helped or hindered us financially? | :15:28. | :15:32.
It certainly helped Cardigan Bay Watersports, | :15:33. | :15:33.
the New Quay business first took to the sea back in 2003, | :15:34. | :15:36.
thanks, in large part, to an EU grant of almost ?165,000. | :15:37. | :15:53.
It was a significant element. You would have two suggest a lot of | :15:54. | :15:58.
money has come to West Wales and you have to question whether a | :15:59. | :16:00.
centralised government would devote as much of it scarce resource in | :16:01. | :16:06.
this direction. Now, this structural funding, as it is known in the | :16:07. | :16:12.
jargon, that the company was able to access is Brussels' way of boosting | :16:13. | :16:16.
the poorer parts of the European Union. | :16:17. | :16:19.
Back in 1999, when Wales first qualified for this economic aid, | :16:20. | :16:21.
the then First Minister Rhodri Morgan hailed it as a once | :16:22. | :16:24.
in a generation opportunity, but 17 years later, and this part | :16:25. | :16:27.
of Wales still qualifies for the highest level of support. | :16:28. | :16:30.
By 2020, the West Wales and the Valleys region will have | :16:31. | :16:33.
East Wales, a relatively richer region of the EU, will have received | :16:34. | :16:41.
over 600 million by the end of the decade. | :16:42. | :16:44.
To date, the money has benefited some 3,000 projects and created | :16:45. | :16:47.
But despite the investment, the West Wales and the Valleys | :16:48. | :16:56.
region, according to the latest EU figures, remains the poorest | :16:57. | :16:59.
in the UK, unable to close the wealth gap with | :17:00. | :17:01.
In the early days, the money is said to have been handled poorly, | :17:02. | :17:09.
This fish farm on Anglesey wasn't monitored properly, while this rural | :17:10. | :17:13.
Officials say improvements have been made and the focus is now on fewer | :17:14. | :17:19.
but bigger projects, such as the newly opened | :17:20. | :17:21.
But for those campaigning for us to leave, there is no such thing | :17:22. | :17:29.
It is like a propaganda thing to them in a way because they get these | :17:30. | :17:41.
signs up everywhere saying that this project was funded by the European | :17:42. | :17:45.
Union and people then think that the European Union is good, it gives us | :17:46. | :17:48.
all this money. They forget that we pay 50 mile -- 50 ?5 million per day | :17:49. | :17:52.
to be a member of this club. Last month, David Cameron said | :17:53. | :17:57.
there was no certainty this economic aid would continue under an UK | :17:58. | :18:00.
government if Britain A few days later the Welsh | :18:01. | :18:02.
Conservative leader, Andrew RT Davies, said | :18:03. | :18:05.
he could "guarantee" it would. Just a flavour of some | :18:06. | :18:07.
of the conflicting arguments from both sides of a campaign based | :18:08. | :18:09.
on so many unknowns. Labour's Huw Irranca-Davies has | :18:10. | :18:15.
stepped down as MP for Ogmore, The former Wales Office Minister has | :18:16. | :18:17.

they say is facing the industry. Dairy farmers say they're struggling | :18:36. | :18:37.
to cope with fluctuating milk prices, and warn of | :18:38. | :18:40.
"devastation" for west Wales, Around 2,000 farmers and supporters | :18:41. | :18:42.
marched to Downing Street. The majority of us are running | :18:43. | :18:52.
at a loss from day to day. I have been in farming or my life, | :18:53. | :18:55.
I have been married for about 25 years nearly and this | :18:56. | :18:59.
is the worst it has been. It is too bad we are having the same | :19:00. | :19:01.
price of milk now as we were having It is one step forward | :19:02. | :19:05.
and two steps back. Wales manager Chris Coleman says | :19:06. | :19:12.
playing at the European Championships behind closed doors | :19:13. | :19:17.
would be a sad day for the sport. European Football's governing body, | :19:18. | :19:20.
UEFA, has insisted there are no plans to play matches at Euro 2016 | :19:21. | :19:22.
at empty stadia in response It comes after a senior UEFA | :19:23. | :19:25.
official failed to rule out staging They are preparing for a friendly | :19:26. | :19:29.
but the attacks in Brussels and the implications | :19:30. | :19:47.
for security this summer A leading figure within | :19:48. | :19:48.
Uefa says it cannot rule out games played behind closed | :19:49. | :19:53.
doors without any fans. In a statement, Uefa said | :19:54. | :19:55.
it is confident every security But it has no plans to play games | :19:56. | :19:59.
behind closed doors. It did add it is working | :20:00. | :20:04.
on contingency plans. I think that is good news, | :20:05. | :20:07.
as far as I am concerned. We checked out the stadiums | :20:08. | :20:09.
and the changing rooms and the hotels | :20:10. | :20:11.
we are staying at. Even in the stadiums when it is | :20:12. | :20:13.
empty you are anticipating what it is going to be | :20:14. | :20:16.
like and it is very To think that they are going to be | :20:17. | :20:18.
full, playing in that kind Fans have been asked to turn | :20:19. | :20:25.
up early to tomorrow's friendly at the Cardiff City Stadium | :20:26. | :20:33.
and allow extra time to pass These measures were brought | :20:34. | :20:36.
in at all stadia in Cardiff after the attacks in | :20:37. | :20:42.
Paris last November. Tonight, the Home Secretary | :20:43. | :20:44.
was asked what steps are being taken to protect fans who will be | :20:45. | :20:47.
travelling to France this summer. The police have already been | :20:48. | :20:49.
discussing with their counterparts what arrangements are in place | :20:50. | :20:51.
and of course we will continue We want people to go | :20:52. | :20:54.
and enjoy the football, have a good time and be able | :20:55. | :20:59.
to have the confidence As for tomorrow's | :21:00. | :21:02.
match, Chris Coleman will have to find | :21:03. | :21:06.
a replacement for Ben Davies. He is out because of a head injury | :21:07. | :21:08.
he suffered last week. Although he is expected to return | :21:09. | :21:11.
for Monday's game in Ukraine. And Wales could be | :21:12. | :21:14.
without a recognised left back, as Neil | :21:15. | :21:15.
Taylor is a doubt. But Liverpool's Danny Ward will play | :21:16. | :21:19.
for his country for the first time. We have got a special group of guys | :21:20. | :21:23.
who are in the squad. Obviously, we have done | :21:24. | :21:32.
something special as a group, it is not just about the 11 | :21:33. | :21:34.
players on the pitch, it is everyone from Gareth Bale out | :21:35. | :21:37.
to the backroom staff as well. I think it is a bit | :21:38. | :21:40.
of a team effort. Wales are looking forward | :21:41. | :21:43.
to an eventful derby match Northern Ireland have | :21:44. | :21:45.
qualified for France. Chris Coleman is expecting | :21:46. | :21:47.
a feisty friendly. I just want to bring you some | :21:48. | :22:01.
breaking news. Within the last two minutes world rugby has confirmed | :22:02. | :22:06.
England's Joe Marleau will face an independent misconduct hearing the | :22:07. | :22:12.
comments made toward Wales' Samson Lee during the match at Twickenham | :22:13. | :22:15.
earlier this month. The 6-nations decided not to punish Marler but the | :22:16. | :22:24.
sports governing body says it is exercising its right to take what it | :22:25. | :22:27.
describes as appropriate action. The result puts her in a strong | :22:28. | :22:33.
position to be selected for the Rio Olympics this summer, | :22:34. | :22:37.
though her place is yet The rower from Wrexham says she's | :22:38. | :22:40.
delighted with her progress. Tomorrow, we'll be live | :22:41. | :22:43.
at the Cardiff City Stadium, ahead of the Wales | :22:44. | :22:46.
Northern ireland game. of the best views in Wales | :22:47. | :22:47.
right on its' doorstep. But there's one drawback, | :22:48. | :22:53.
it's a disused public toilet. Up for auction tomorrow morning | :22:54. | :22:56.
and with no reserve, the old WC next to the Clywedog | :22:57. | :22:58.
reservoir, near Llanidloes, Its location is remote, | :22:59. | :23:00.
so not great for commuting. But this old toilet block, | :23:01. | :23:11.
which is up for auction, The Clywedog Reservoir in Powys | :23:12. | :23:14.
is a popular beauty spot for walkers Paul Fosh is auctioning the property | :23:15. | :23:19.
for Powys Council. He believes it has got a lot | :23:20. | :23:22.
of potential, that is if you can get planning and its change of use | :23:23. | :23:26.
from the toilet. Public toilets are in locations | :23:27. | :23:29.
where you would not normally get planning permission | :23:30. | :23:31.
to build anything. The fact that they are here now, | :23:32. | :23:33.
they have an established use, you have to get that change of use | :23:34. | :23:36.
and that can be sometimes easier than creating a building | :23:37. | :23:39.
from the start. Yes, the location is | :23:40. | :23:41.
the all-important thing really. And this is the view | :23:42. | :23:48.
your money gets you. And if you are worried | :23:49. | :23:51.
about what the neighbours will think about you living in an old toilet, | :23:52. | :23:54.
well, there are no neighbours. Llanidloes is its nearest town, | :23:55. | :23:57.
which has just been voted one And here, the auction | :23:58. | :24:00.
is headline news. It may have a good feel, | :24:01. | :24:03.
but I cannot imagine anybody They could go for | :24:04. | :24:13.
as little as ?1000. I think so yes because it is quite | :24:14. | :24:18.
a good tourist spot. People go and visit their quite | :24:19. | :24:25.
a lot and it has got a good view Unique really isn't it to have | :24:26. | :24:29.
such a beautiful toilet, so I hope they get | :24:30. | :24:33.
a really good price. There is no stigma attached to this | :24:34. | :24:35.
old toilet in Aberystwyth. It is now an upmarket fish | :24:36. | :24:44.
restaurant with views of the coast on one side and the marina | :24:45. | :24:47.
on the other. So maybe this could be a cafe | :24:48. | :24:49.
or a cottage. With no reserve price at auction, | :24:50. | :24:53.
this view could open Beautiful scenes in mid Wales there, | :24:54. | :24:55.
but can we expect weather good I am off to Gwynedd for Easter. I am | :24:56. | :25:14.
hoping for a fine weekend of course. Good Friday will be nice but after a | :25:15. | :25:18.
couple of weeks of dry weather, it is back to normal tomorrow with some | :25:19. | :25:22.
rain on the way. This evening, dry for most of us. The odd light shower | :25:23. | :25:28.
in places. Breaks in the cloud overnight. Temperatures falling as | :25:29. | :25:31.
low as three Celsius in parts of Powys. Seven Celsius on Anglesey. | :25:32. | :25:38.
Tomorrow, the weather will start to come in from the Atlantic again with | :25:39. | :25:42.
a frontal system moving its way across the British Isles. This is | :25:43. | :25:46.
the picture for 8am, most of the South and East, powers and the | :25:47. | :25:51.
north-east and dry at this stage but do not leave your washing out. The | :25:52. | :25:57.
wind and rain will arrive in Gwynedd and Anglesey and Canada John, | :25:58. | :26:01.
Cardigan and Haverfordwest. In the day, the rain will spread across the | :26:02. | :26:06.
rest of the country. Most of the rain in the South and West. Less | :26:07. | :26:11.
rain in the north-east and the marches and the rain shadow. Breezy | :26:12. | :26:18.
tomorrow, feeling cool. Top temperature 10 Celsius. In the lane | :26:19. | :26:24.
and windy with rain on the way. In the Vale of Glamorgan, most of the | :26:25. | :26:29.
morning drive but wet in the afternoon. Around nine Celsius in | :26:30. | :26:37.
Barry. Tomorrow, the rain will have slowly clear. The wind easing with | :26:38. | :26:41.
temperatures dropping as low as three Celsius. Good Friday will be | :26:42. | :26:45.
much nicer. Feeling more likes bring. Dry and bright with sunny | :26:46. | :26:47.
spells. bring. Dry and bright with sunny | :26:48. | :26:54.
best day of the Easter weekend. If you have any outdoor plans. | :26:55. | :26:57.
Saturday, a different kettle of fish. Much windy with heavy rain | :26:58. | :27:03.
clearing two showers by evening but then for Sunday Easter Day, breezy | :27:04. | :27:08.
with sunshine. A Land's End are possible and gusty winds. On Monday, | :27:09. | :27:13.
we should the -- could be in for some rough weather. To suicide | :27:14. | :27:24.
bombers who carried out attacks in Brussels in which 31 died have been | :27:25. | :27:31.
named. Two other attackers at the airport have not yet been | :27:32. | :27:32.
identified. I'll have a quick update | :27:33. | :27:34.
at 8pm and a full round up From all of us on the programme, | :27:35. | :27:36.
have a lovely evening. | :27:37. | :27:42. |
