A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder,

following the death of a soldier, found unconscious in Brecon

He was serving with the Royal Gibraltar Regiment -

but there's nothing to indicate that the incident is

Scenes of crimes officers have been conducting a fingertip search

of a long stretch of Lion Street in the centre of Brecon

A forensic tent covers the spot where the soldier was found injured

and unconscious at around one o'clock in the morning.

He was taken to hospital but later died.

The Ministry of Defence say he was a serving member

Tonight, Dyfed-Powys Police say they have arrested a 23-year-old man

He is being held in custody on suspicion of murder.

police do not believe the death had any links to extremism and they have

confirmed the dead soldier was not wearing military uniform.

but it will be up to the four newly elected commissioners in Wales,

to prove their critics wrong in the weeks and months ahead.

Cardiff Council has denied claims that one of the city's

secondary schools has a problem with Islamist extremism.

A Sunday newspaper makes the allegations in an article,

which it says was written by an unnamed former teacher

Cardiff Council says the school is fully committed to safeguarding

pupils, and works proactively on countering extremism.

Welsh Labour leader Carwyn Jones says his party will seek to form

a minority government after Thursday's Assembly election.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Conservatives in Wales says
