The strengthening wind is blowing rain into many parts of the country.

The rain continues northwards, to be followed by some heavy showers.

We are all going to get quite wet. There has been 25 mm of rain

already in Cornwall. By the end of Saturday we could have twice that

amount in northern England. There is the risk of local flooding.

Given how would it's been recently, they are Met Office weather

warnings. They are accompanied by some strong and dusty winds. You

can see how the cloud has wrapped around. A broad swathe of cloud, a

broad area of rain, too. Soon getting swept away from south-west

England. The rain much as northwards across northern England,

very wet night for Northern Ireland. The rain is sneaking into southern

Scotland by the end of the night. Later, it should turn dryer across

the south and across northern parts of Scotland it is likely to stay

dry all night, a bright start in the morning. The rain arrives in

the Central lowlands in time for the rush hour. A wet start for

Northern Ireland. A similar picture across northern England, some

tricky travelling conditions in the morning, mainly north of the Humber.

South of the Humber, post rain, it's a generally dry and bright

start. A few showers developing, the next band of rain coming into

the western side of Wales. The first band of rain is in northern

England by the morning. It clears by lunchtime but takes hold across

central Scotland. For England and Wales, we will see showers

developing more widely, some of them heavy and the injury, and then

later some more persistent rain in the south-east of England. You

could see 18 or 19 degrees but contrast that with a dismally cold

nine or 10 degrees in Scotland, with an easterly wind and all that

rain. Similar contrasts on Saturday. A lot of cloud around, showers or

longer spells of rain. Some of the driest and windiest weather will be

in the south-east. The reason it is a wet and windy, we have this deep

area of low pressure. It withdraws its services are towards the

northern North Sea by Sunday, but it's not completely dry on Sunday.
