June was a bit on the downside. I wish I could offer you some light

at the end of the tunnel. You can get too much of a good thing. Over

in the States, we have had wildfires and all sorts. Crucially,

much of the US is out of the Jetstream, the fast-moving Riven of

air, and on the south side it is warmer, and on the north side, it

is on the cooler side. 17 was more typical today. On the northern side,

we tend to get a lot more cloud and a lot of rain, and that is what we

have had throughout June and today as well. That cloud continues to

tumble in, wet weather up and down the UK now. Some places staying dry,

but not much in a way of clear skies. Most of us cloudy, misty,

mild, temperatures in southern areas not falling much below 15

degrees. A rather damp start to the day across central and southern

areas, the rain might ease for a time only to return later. By

contrast, further north, parts of England and Scotland having a

brighter start, Scotland getting away with the lion's share of the

sunshine into the afternoon. Northern Ireland, rather cloudy,

rain and not too far away, pulses of rain pushing through Wales

proving to be quite heavy and persistent, especially towards

Western up slopes. Very misty on high ground, breezy across southern

areas, too. Elsewhere across southern England, the rain might

ease for a time but it will return later. For Wimbledon, on the edge

of things, I know we got away with it until later today, but that

might not be the case tomorrow. Dry were the least in longer across

East Anglia, but pushing into the Midlands and Northern England. Much

of Scotland hanging on to some sunshine, but one of two sharp

showers through the afternoon. No pressure right on top of us, as it

will be for the rest of the week, and spiralling around that area of

low pressure will be some bands of rain. Mind you, on Wednesday many

of us can look forward to more brightness. Some sharp showers,
